I went there for dinner yesterday with some colleagues and I have to say the food was very good. The taste was wonderful and the atmosphere was great too. One of the waiters even gave one of my colleagues some good advice regarding the ingredients. Highly recommended.

Everything was just perfect... the ambiance was "modern with Turkish flair"... the service was "attentive but not intrusive"... the food was "very, very good"... and any minor issues were resolved expertly. I especially appreciated that, despite the charcoal grill in the room, you didn't smell of food. An absolute must-visit – the best fries ever! Simply put, a perfect start to a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back.

Numerous comments on Google and TripAdvisor confirm this impression: slow service, lukewarm dishes, lack of seasoning, and exorbitant prices. I've experienced the world of gastronomy – from New York to London to Paris – and know that Turkish cuisine can be generous, honest, and refined. My review is not an attack, but an invitation to reconsider your priorities. Quality, transparency, and listening to guests are more valuable than an artificially glowing review. Improving these points will not diminish your standing, but will bring you closer to the reputation you are clearly striving for.

The chef gave us excellent advice on the individual dishes and also explained some of the preparation techniques in Turkish cuisine. The fresh produce and the craftsmanship of the kitchen team are evident – ​​we highly recommend it. The food was only mediocre. I had a steak with fries. Unfortunately, the fries were completely drenched in oil, and the steak was pretty plain. The service was below average, and I didn't feel particularly welcome, especially since the staff reminded us several times that we could only stay for 2.5 hours, as the table was reserved for later. I mean, who would stay that long anyway? What I really liked, though, was the beautiful decor and the cleanliness.

I loved the place, but the new menu, including the associated price increases, isn't exactly blowing me away. You now have to pay extra for all side dishes, and the selection isn't exactly extensive. When asked, one person tells me the side dishes are included, then suddenly says they aren't. The food was delicious as always, but I'll seriously consider going there again next time for cost reasons.

Had a great Saturday lunch here! The hostess was super friendly and even suggested dishes that weren’t on the menu yet. We tried the pide and dips while waiting for our mains, and everything was delicious. Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and her kindness, even the Turkish red wine which she suggested was delectable - will definitely be back!

The food is prepared with high-quality ingredients, with no overly overly unnatural flavors (this is especially important to me). Outside, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Saar River while eating at the right time. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates quiet, relaxed, and high-quality food.

Unfortunately, we never even got to our meal. After 30 minutes in which several service employees passed by our table, no one bothered to take our drink order. Some people stood next to our table, noticed that we hadn't had anything to drink yet, and when we wanted to order, several employees simply turned around and served other tables. Setting new tables seems to have a higher priority than serving guests... We left after 30 minutes. A no-go in this price range! We won't be visiting this place again and definitely won't recommend it to anyone.

Restaurant way too expensive for what it offers. I've already eaten in a cheaper restaurant. The service is still lacking. The ayran at €5 is really excessive. I really don't recommend this restaurant, take a tour of the city to give you a choice. I've attached a photo of the bill. A little extra for the bread which was delicious.

Unfortunately, we only visit Saarbrücken once a year, for the Fillin Jazz Festival. I think we need to change that. A definite recommendation (the platter is also available for one person).

I've been to Mangal Mezze & Grill several times, both for lunch and dinner with company. The food is good, and the service from the staff has always been polite and friendly. However, on my last visit, I experienced a very unpleasant situation: one of the owners (I understand it was the owner) spoke very rudely to a waitress for making a noise with her glasses. The argument was in a sexist and chauvinistic tone that I found totally inappropriate. It was a very awkward moment, and I think it made the waitress feel quite bad. I can't fully endorse or recommend a place that treats its staff like this, no matter how good the food is. Admittedly, it was just one person in particular.

Okay, I'll be honest. Food-wise, I liked the starters and side dishes, including mezze and vegetables. However, as for the main course, I ordered a simple chicken skewer for 22 euros with just a few chopped onions (which is actually too expensive), especially since I found the chicken overcooked and no sauce was provided. The service was decent, but disappointed by the wait, which was almost 1 hour 15 minutes for two dishes. The atmosphere was rather unpleasant due to too much noise pollution. I don't recommend it.

Came here based on the pictures, hoping to get some wonderful and generous dishes from the grill. I have to say the pictures that are shown are very misleading and not representative. Apparently there is a new concept with smaller portions. I didn’t see any of the lavish dishes on the other tables either. The restaurant tries a fine dining approach, I guess…small dishes and high prices. The food is alright, but does not justify the prices in my opinion. As reference I attached the lamb I ordered. Perhaps its advisable to update the pictures for a more accurate representation. The staff was friendly and professional though.

Everything was perfect , great experience of Turkish cuisine in Germany. Levrek Marine was mixed with pomegranate and orange in a very delicious way shall be tried , chef suggestion mixed grill is highly recommended. A must go restaurant.

The fish they sell as marinated is neither pan-fried nor barbecued; it tastes more like pickles. It comes on a tiny plate. It tastes so bad, you won't even want to try it; it has nothing to do with fish. What has become of the sea bass we've been eating for years?

For this price, one expects more flavor and more. The Adana, which cost around 30 euros, came with almost no salad and was served with two small pieces of lavash. You also have to pay 6 euros for rice, which, unfortunately, was completely lacking. I hope the establishment takes these reviews into consideration.

From the outside, the restaurant made a good impression, but the visit was unfortunately a complete disappointment. The waiter explained to us right away that the concept was based on "sharing" – small dishes that you order together. Sounds nice, but the prices were far too high at around €14–18 per portion. If you order more than one, it quickly adds up to over €30 per person. So we decided to order individually. When I looked at the main courses, I immediately noticed: not a single vegetarian dish! Especially in Turkish cuisine, there are actually plenty of delicious vegetarian options – but none here. I found that very disappointing. In the end, I only had an iced tea and a small appetizer – I paid almost €30 for that. And I wasn't even full. Conclusion: Overpriced, limited selection (especially for vegetarians), and the portion size is absolutely unjustified. For me: never again.

The first time I ate there, the food was delicious—salad, appetizers, and meat, everything was great. The second time, however, I was surprised: The salad wasn't fresh, as if it had been sitting in the sun. The meat—be it steak, pieces of lamb, or chicken—was very dry. The kofte had no flavor at all. I asked if anything had changed, but was told no. It's a shame—so many restaurants are great at the beginning, but once a lot of customers arrive, they often stop trying.

We ordered Istanbul cocktails, the starter of Rakı Tabağı, Büyük Meze Tabağı, and for our main course, a grill platter for two people, Mangal Izgara Deluxe, and Tavuk Siş (freshly grilled marinated chicken skewers). The dishes were freshly prepared, of high quality, and cooked on the charcoal grill with great flavor and flavor.

For two adult meals, one of which was vegetarian, and two children's meals with two large bottles of water and two large colas, we paid just over €90. Side salads were also included. We sat outside, and it was a great atmosphere right next to the water on the promenade. The staff were consistently super nice, friendly, and attentive.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant. We were greeted by the waiter, but no mention was made of the fact that there were no more seats available. Instead, a table for four was cleaned, the waiter spoke to a colleague, repeatedly looked at us, and then suddenly informed us that the restaurant was "fully booked." Why they didn't let us know right away remains unclear. It seemed as if they simply didn't want to serve us—because of our clothing? Or for some other reason? We don't know, but we definitely didn't feel welcome. Those who treat guests based on their appearance instead of communicating openly and respectfully don't leave a good impression. Very disappointing.

Ordered the lamb ribs and lamb legs. The ribs were amazing, cooked perfectly with charcoal flavour you can only get on the BBQ. Legs were good but not mind blowing. Everything served with high quality side dishes and sauce, although the tomato salad was very sour. One of the servers seemed very rushed and curt, detracted from the otherwise good atmosphere. Other servers were friendly but nothing out of the ordinary.

Unfortunately, an incident occurred: While we briefly stepped outside to smoke, our table was being cleared – our food was gone, leaving only the cocktails. When we asked, the staff told us they thought we were finished and immediately offered to replace the steak and salad free of charge – a truly accommodating and positive way of handling the situation! However, the quality of the subsequent dishes was unfortunately not quite as good: The second steak was undercooked, and the Caesar salad was missing the chicken.
