I ordered Beyti Sarma with chicken, which I unfortunately didn't like very much because the meat was very thin and the bread it was wrapped in was too thick and layered. There was hardly any salt in the whole thing. It was too expensive for that. The service was very friendly and attentive. Thank you very much.

Super tasty, it was my first time really eating Turkish food and I was thrilled! The starter and the grill plate were very tasty and generous in portion. There were many new, good taste experiences for me, both with the meat and the salad and the apparently homemade bread with various dips. Will definitely eat there again, very good!

Never again bread was too cold expensive small fries €6.90 I don't recommend

The store looks very nice and clean. The portions are really tiny for the price. The staff is very overwhelmed and interferes with how customers have to sit, which is not appropriate. For 8€ we got 3 old baklava, which is really cheap.

Really, the taste and atmosphere are great. It is impossible not to thank the staff for their attention. It is the best I have ever seen. I will come again.

But: It's just not a restaurant where you go and want to spend hours. Employees try hard to smile but they can't smile. The food is just okay. The prices are okay too. A very nice restaurant. We ate there today and everyone was satisfied. Turkish delight, pan-fried chicken, mezeler, salad, lentil soup... Everything was really delicious, even the small portions of side salad, which were not only beautiful to look at but also very tasty. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were absolutely fair. Definitely recommended.

This evening I was with a group at Defne to break the fast. We were told in advance to arrive an hour before, which we did at 6pm. The breaking of the fast took place at approximately 6:53 p.m. that day. What really disappointed me, however, was the long wait for our food. The last of us didn't get our meal until 8:25 p.m. What was particularly annoying is that another large group came after us, enjoyed their meal and dessert and even drank tea before any of us received our meal. When we said we'll be up at 8:00 p.m. if our food doesn't come, the waiter responded with a statement we found particularly inappropriate: "Do 8:02 p.m." This answer seemed quite provocative to us, especially if we had already been waiting for 2 hours at this point. I see it as a sign of greed when a restaurant tries to serve as many guests as possible without planning capacity accordingly. If you are not able to handle the number of guests efficiently, you should not offer so many tables. It doesn't make up for it to pay the drinks on the house. I would give 0 stars.

25-30 staff could not look after approximately 95 customers and to top it all off they blamed the customers.

It's crazy that the prices have increased, but I can't understand why the kebab and lahmagun have gone down at the same time. I feel ripped off. I was able to grip the lahmagun with my little lady fingers. Still hungry afterwards. Ordering two of them would be like eating one. Go kid yourself. It's definitely too expensive. I'm never coming back.

Went to Defne Essen today with full anticipation, first we ordered Uludag which was then brought to us warm in a glass. After asking, we were told that cold Uludag in a can was only available to take away... and then we waited 40 minutes for food even though only 3 other tables were occupied. The salad was swimming in oil. The food was cold, undercooked, veal like chewing gum. Everyone has a stomach ache now and my sister just vomited... pure disappointment. Never again.

We ate here with 4 people, a table was reserved, which turned out to be a good thing because the restaurant was very busy. Ambience very nice and cozy. All food was brought to the table at the same time and was of good quality and quantity. Everything tasted delicious. Since there is no alcohol there and I like to drink a beer with a grilled meal, I deducted a star from the service. (But it was also tasty without alcohol!)

*Delicious food* and the *price-performance ratio* is simply great! There is also *free parking*, which makes the visit even more pleasant. Highly recommended!

Four of us had dinner there today. The service was really nice and very accommodating. Bread and three different types of dip were served as a starter to shorten the waiting time. The main courses (pide, iskender, gyro plate) were really very filling and tasted fantastic. After the meal everyone had Turkish tea. Simply great! We'll be back

I don't usually post reviews about restaurants, but today I had to. I'm very satisfied. The food is excellent. I had the mixed grill plate, or as they say here, the men's plate. The meat was convincing. The starter was also very filling and tasty. I also felt warmly welcomed and the service was great and courteous (especially the friendly lady). Just as you can expect. Thanks for the service. I can recommend the restaurant.

Very tasty food in a very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, there are only non-alcoholic drinks, which might not appeal to everyone. But the visit is worth it.

So overall the food was really ok. I had lamb on a skewer, but the meat wasn't quite as hot. Well, I could really overlook it. Then came the shock 😂 I should bring baklava Just look at the picture, I think for 7.90 for three small pieces??? Are you serious?? I was really horrified. Oh well By Turkish standards I'm used to something different. I was ashamed to give the packaging to my friend, but I was so shocked and would have been better off taking a double portion 😂 Too bad banana

On the way to Düsseldorf we stopped off in Koblenz and ended up at Restaurant Defne - and it was a fantastic decision! First of all, the store is incredibly clean, which we immediately noticed as a positive thing. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and very polite. You feel welcome and in good hands from the first moment. The food was just great! I would particularly like to highlight the soup, it was by far the best soup my mother and I have ever eaten. The pide was also excellent, fresh and tasty. We can highly recommend the Defne restaurant to everyone.

The staff speaks German poorly and it takes forever to be served. The portions are a bit smaller compared to other Turkish restaurants, but still tasty. Despite participating in the voucher program, the boss didn't want to accept it and became unfriendly. There will never be better alternatives in the city again.

We had dinner at Defne with a few people (around 15 people) and I would give the evening an A-. The service was very friendly and the food tasted excellent. I can only say high praise for that. 👍 The only thing that could be complained about was that a few of us had to wait quite a long time for our food compared to the rest. So that most of it was already finished and then she could start.

In some places you could hardly walk through. The service was quite ok for the number of guests. You can have a good meal here with a larger group. If there were two of us, I would choose something else. It should also be noted that there are no alcoholic drinks here.

When we arrived we waited 20 minutes for the card and only when we asked did we get it. The waiter really wanted to sell us a huge plate, which we refused. I had an Adana plate which was far too small for the price. In terms of taste, the Adana could be considered neutral in taste, so it didn't taste like anything. Calling such prices for this is questionable. The waitresses seem completely overwhelmed.

We were in this restaurant this afternoon for the first time since the ownership changed. It was great!!! 😊😊😊 We had a mixed starter platter for two, as well as Iskender Kebap and Lahmacun. The various dips were delicious, the flatbread was fresh. I've never had such good lahmacun as here, a thin, crispy dough with seasoned minced lamb. Salad and onions were served separately. The waiters were very friendly, the restaurant was clean and well maintained. We will be very happy to come back!

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the new store today. The prices are really very exaggerated. Ayran in a small cup with no foam and there were small undissolved pieces of cheese. If you only order a soup (for 8.50 euros) there are apparently no breads with sauces... well. There is also no tea on the house at the end. I have experienced everything completely different in other restaurants (in Turkey anyway).

We've been there a total of 4 times. The food is really super fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared. The service is very friendly and helpful. Extra requests are no problem. Free tea and dessert are always served at the end. On Saturdays it is recommended to get there before 6 p.m., after that it gets very crowded. We always like to come.

We have eaten at Defne several times. Today we were there with 7 people. As always, we were greeted very friendly and warmly. Within 10 minutes everyone had their drink, the food was already ordered and for the transition we had an outstanding appetizer platter with several dips and fresh bread. The food was, as always, stunningly good. The service and the ambience are excellent. Anyone who embarks on a culinary journey with oriental spices and fresh ingredients at Defne will not be disappointed.

I can't understand some of the other reviews here. There wasn't the slightest thing to complain about with our two chicken kebab plates. Whether taste or appearance. ....it was worth 5 stars to me! The only thing I don't like is the copper cups for the ayran. I actually only drink this from glasses.

First time there and the last I ordered an Adana Roller, I was shocked, nothing in it, not even 100 g, even though I ordered everything So 11€ paid for something not even tasted wallah doesn't taste at all that's a joke never again

Since we weren't that hungry we ordered Mercimek (lentil soup) and Kelle Paça (head and trotter soup) The service was good, the side dishes were as good as they should be. But the soups were very bad. Kelle paca was basically pieces of meat warmed in oil and floating in oil. Mercimek was mushy not like soup. Seriously disappointed was the worst soup we have had so far. Sorry guys, you have to change something. I can't say anything about anything else. I still have to try it. Still coming!!!!

Nice restaurant, good location, parking available. We didn't wait long. Unfortunately the food (2 or 3 main courses) came relatively cold. My ladle of paça soup was red. It's ok if you use tomato paste/red pepper. I would have expected it to be standard light colored. We liked the taste. The bread was fresh and very tasty. Unfortunately Coca Cola is sold #boycott
