Eine furchtbare Erfahrung. Das Essen war ungenießbar; das Grillhähnchen war verkocht und schmeckte wie verbranntes Holz, und die Hygiene ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen.

Fantastisches Essen zu Schnäppchenpreisen – zwei Schawarma und drei Beilagen kosteten nur 27 €, ein super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilft Ihnen gerne bei der Speisekarte, falls Sie kein Deutsch oder Arabisch sprechen. Allerdings schien das Personal hinter der Theke nur Arabisch zu sprechen, seien Sie also vorsichtig, wenn Sie besondere Ernährungsbedürfnisse haben. Das Restaurant selbst bietet einige Sitzplätze, ist aber oft voll, daher ist Essen zum Mitnehmen eine gute Alternative. Ich empfehle Ihnen, das Kibbeh zu probieren – es wird frisch zubereitet – und auch das Schawarma ist sehr frisch. Merken Sie sich dieses Restaurant also unbedingt vor, besonders wenn Sie spät noch etwas essen möchten.

Das Hähnchen war so stark gegrillt, dass es fast verbrannt war, die Mayonnaise hatte weder Geschmack, Konsistenz noch Farbe, und der Laden war eng, wenn man einen Kinderwagen dabei hatte.

Sorry laut Website hat es geöffnet! Dem ist nicht so! Da kann ich nicht mehr als einen Stern vergeben! Sonst war dort immer die ganze Nacht geögf5

Leider war mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant eine große Enttäuschung. Das Essen hatte praktisch keinen Geschmack – weder die Gerichte noch die Soßen hatten eine erkennbare Würze oder ein besonderes Aroma. Auch die Qualität von Hähnchen und Fleisch hat auf mich keinen frischen und sauberen Eindruck gemacht. Besonders enttäuschend war das Broasted-Hähnchen, das offenbar nicht in der dafür vorgesehenen Maschine zubereitet wurde. Geschmacklich und qualitativ entsprach es überhaupt nicht meinen Erwartungen. Insgesamt war die Erfahrung sehr negativ. Aufgrund der schlechten Qualität des Essens und des fehlenden Geschmacks kann ich dieses Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen ist mittelmäßig, sogar unterdurchschnittlich. Die jungen Männer, die dort arbeiten, sind völlig unprofessionell. Sie sagen einem 40 Minuten Wartezeit, man kommt nach 50 Minuten an und sie sagen, es dauere immer noch 40 Minuten. Sagen Sie einfach zwei Stunden ab Bestellbeginn und gut ist. Ich würde mich ja gern entschuldigen, aber sie sagen nur: „Wenn Sie es nicht wollen, vergessen Sie es.“

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible from the start. When we arrived and asked if a table was available, the waiter completely ignored us. After some time, we were finally able to order, but even after 30 minutes, nothing had been served. Meanwhile, several guests who arrived after us were served before us. It seemed as if the staff was more preoccupied with delivery orders than with the diners. We had to ask again, and surprisingly, our order was taken a second time, as if the first one had been forgotten. The waiter was also quite rude. Furthermore, it seemed as if other guests, especially Syrain people, were being given preferential treatment, which was very unpleasant. In the end, we didn't receive our food for about 45 minutes, which is far too long. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was also disappointing and didn't justify the long wait. Overall, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially if you expect fair and attentive service.

Really good food at great prices! 👍 Great location, easily accessible on foot or by car. There's even a bus stop right in front. We were there on a Saturday evening, the place was packed, and we just barely got a seat. The service could have been a bit faster, but otherwise everything was fine. We can definitely recommend it!

Men and women toilets together, no tissue paper, no baby changing space. You could feel the grease as you walked on the floor. It’s obvious it lacks a woman’s touch. But the seating area is designed very nicely and modern. But freezing, we enjoyed the food but won’t be back

Today we ordered a double shawarma and a regular shawarma, but unfortunately the double was just with bread and the price was 9€. The pickles were a single piece and the garlic cream was very little. I had to remove the second piece of bread to be able to eat. Honestly, there is no difference between the double and regular except for the bread. I ordered food for 2 p.m. (a swarm plate) and waited until 2:30 p.m. - still nothing had arrived. I then went into a meeting and left at 3:20 p.m. and the food still hadn't arrived. I looked at my phone and it said "delivered at 2 p.m." I then went through all the floors and asked - nothing had arrived.... So I went into the store myself and loudly mentioned the matter and immediately the receipt next to the cash register was grabbed... THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING... I was then taken to the manager and he said the driver had been in an accident... I told him that we are human and accidents happen, but that IS NO JUSTIFICATION for simply collecting the money and not delivering the food. Before this incident, I tried to contact the store about 30 times over several hours, always with a busy signal. What a crappy store... if I hadn't gone there, they would have made the receipt disappear!!!

The place in general is extremely dirty. The toilets where flooded and seats and tables weren't clean either. The food arrived after 20min and I had found chicken bones still in the meat of my wrap. The staff was really friendly and the place is nicely decorated. However, as I was eating I saw MOUSE running out the kitchen. Would not recommend.

The taste is absolutely amazing! But... Unfortunately, orders are often misprinted. I often order shawarma specifically without cucumbers, but I (almost) always end up with cucumbers... annoying...

It's not a piece of bread, the chicken shawarma smelled rotten and had a very, very bad smell, I swear, and we didn't eat it and it was all oily. The falafel was very bad and tough, but the meat shawarma was acceptable.

Honest opinion from a restaurant owner: I've been working in the restaurant industry for many years and know how much work, love, and stress goes into running a successful business. That's why I'm all the more pleased when I can enjoy a truly delicious meal somewhere else – like here at Damaskus in Koblenz! We were visiting Koblenz and spontaneously stopped by for a meal – and what can I say: it was really good! We ordered a falafel salad, a chicken plate, and a sandwich – all fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The falafel was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – just as it should be. The salad was also fresh, crisp, and beautifully seasoned, not as carelessly prepared as is unfortunately often the case. The chicken plate tasted great, but the meat was a little dry – nothing dramatic, I just noticed it because I pay close attention to that sort of thing myself. The side dish, sauce, everything else was delicious and well-balanced. The sandwich was my personal highlight – superbly seasoned, really juicy, and simply honestly well-made. You can tell right away that the food here is freshly cooked and puts a lot of heart into it. The service was also friendly and fast – despite the busy schedule. Conclusion: For anyone who likes oriental food or simply wants to eat really good and uncomplicated – a clear recommendation! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Koblenz. High praise to the Damascus team – keep up the good work!

From the street, the skewers looked really promising, so we decided to give the restaurant a try. Especially since there are few alternatives to shawarma in the area. Unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing overall. The shawarma sandwich was not of the highest quality: The meat had a strange smell, didn't seem fresh, and the filling was very sparse, with hardly any salad or other side dishes. There was no spicy sauce or general seasoning to add flavor to the whole thing. Another major negative point was the indoor climate: The wood-fired oven made the restaurant extremely hot, which made the experience very unpleasant. Overall, we wouldn't return. There's significant room for improvement in several areas.

Unfortunately, we ordered fried chicken for home, and it smelled bad and rancid, and the chicken had blemishes in it. I mean, it has no taste, color or smell at all, to be honest. Just ate there, No. 27 & 28 the best part of the meal was the mayo and ketchup from Heinz, the side dish on the plates was cut so thickly that it was definitely not digestible. Cucumber 5-6mm and carrots 🥕 up to almost 2cm thick. RAW FOOD as a side dish is a good idea, but please prepare it very thinly with a little more love. Service seems to have fallen asleep for us. It's a shame we relied on the many good reviews...it's a shame 30€ is definitely 20 too many.

We had a spontaneous meal here today. The restaurant is on a side street off two main streets of the pedestrian zone, so unfortunately we didn't notice it beforehand. The atmosphere and the staff are very pleasant. The food was very, very good. The taste was 10 out of a 10. We had a schwarma plate with beef, a falafel schwarma plate and fries for our daughter. The daughter had ordered mayonnaise with it and she didn't need it. Garlic sauce was served with the fries, which was probably included in the price and it was better than the mayonnaise in the end ;). The portions of the food were more than enough. A big plus point goes to the toilets. Very clean!!! We have never found a toilet so clean in a restaurant in Koblenz before and that's where restaurants in the upper price segment come into play. Big praise. We'll definitely come back next time 🤗

I love Arabic cuisine, I cook it and I know it very well. Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy it because the tabbouleh was full of red rubber band pieces. This makes me question the hygienic conditions.
