Very tasty banh mi! Crispy bread, top pickled vegetables, fresh corriander and very good fillings. Lastly we ate pork and chicken. The Banh Mi with egg is also great! Good food for in between meals. The waiting times are always short and you usually have a seat.

I've tried so many Banh Mis in FFM but none taste as good as this one. The bread is a dream.

I’ve gone here about 6 times now and I always get the Banh Mi. The Banh Mi is decent but the service is absolutely terrible. It’s not all the staff, but usually just one guy in particular. He’s rude, if they make an error - instead of apologizing he makes you feel like it’s your problem, he’s grumpy and just flat out terrible at customer service. Whenever I go here and see him working, I just want to leave and go elsewhere, which I have done a few times already. When I go somewhere whether it be a restaurant, a store, etc. I don’t pay to be treated poorly and like I’m an inconvenience. Providing decent customer service is not difficult but this gentleman clearly doesn’t want to be there nor deal with customers and he makes sure you are aware of this. I am more than happy to change my review as I always believe in providing a fair one but something needs to get done about the poor customer service. I’m not saying he needs to be fired but he definitely needs to put some serious work into his attitude. He needs to remember that the reason he gets a pay check is because of the customers and without the customers he wouldn’t have a job. How would he feel if every customer started treating him like he treats many of us?

If you like Vietnamese food, you can eat here quickly and inexpensively. The Banh Mi was quite filling.

NOT GLUTEN FREE!! Attention for people with celiac disease. We went there because we read in the reviews that there was gluten-free Bahn Mies there. When we got there we were told that only the rolls were gluten free. The fillings are not, as they are made with soy sauce. That was of course very disappointing. A suggestion for improvement: please use gluten-free soy sauce in the future. Then everything would be gluten-free and tolerable even for people with celiac disease. What's the point of making the rolls gluten-free if the rest aren't gluten-free? Then you can also use normal rolls...

omg... I like Asian cuisine, but your chicken curry is simply the best in Europe. 🤩 The food is fresh, the portions are large and delicious. The place is located 5 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz and 3 minutes from the train station. A small, inconspicuous place with great food. I recommend it. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Berlin.

Prices not so expensive compared to other places. I had the banh mi with grilled pork. Meat tasted very bland and cold. The vegetables didn't taste as fresh and sour as others. The sauce hardly tastes like anything either. The ambience is good so far, there's nothing to say against it. Service was also fine

Having eaten here a few times, I felt the food was quite delicious, but the biggest minus point was the waiter's attitude. Customers came in without a word of greeting, and their faces looked like they were being forced to go to work. One time I came in. I saw him dialing the phone and smiled brightly, but when he put the phone down, he greeted the customer with an attitude as if he didn't need any customers.

By far my favorite food in Berlin!! All my friends really enjoy coming here too. The banh mi and the curry are both highly recommended! The curry can also be made vegetarian upon request.

Super fresh, absolutely reasonable pricing and you’re perfectly happy and full afterwards. The rolls they use, I really want to purchase a few separately to take then home, heaven this bun is. I’ll have to go back to try everything else, Banh Mi with Omelette and Curry

Extrem authentisch, relativ preiswert, SEHR LECKER! Vor ein paar Wochen sah ich eine Warteschlange vor diesem Laden - junge Vietnamesen hier in Berlin, die Bahn Mi Sandwiches kaufen wollten. Heute hatte ich endlich die Gelegenheit für ein Abendessen dort mit einer Freundin. Von der Aroma in der Luft waren wir sofort überzeugt bevor wir überhaupt was bestellt haben.. und ja, das Essen war toll. Alle Hauptspeisen ungefähr €10, nichts teurer als das. Und ALLES hat so gut geschmeckt. Ich gehe gern wieder, so bald wie möglich! 🙂

nice enough, my friends were verr happy with their food, but 1 star because the chicken noodles made me sick and kept me up all night. I’ve eaten a lot of dodgy stuff in the past without issues so this is actually quite an achievement.

Hi, we had lunch at Mama Vân - Sài Gòn Deli today. The food was very, very tasty, unfortunately I had to roll to the counter myself, even though I'm in a wheelchair. The waiting time was short and the food was brought to the table. (+1) Overall, a nicely decorated shop for a quick meal that should also taste good👍🏻

After a few disappointing experiences with Pho in other places , I’d said this place does alright for the price . Broth was flavorful enough, two kinds of beef and generous servings, and noodles o point .

The vegetarian banh mi is ok, nothing very special about it. There is some space to sit, you can add spicy sauce to your liking. All versions are around 6,50€.

We tried the vegetarian banh mi and found it to be okay compared to very close alternatives. €6.50 is the standard price for a Banh Mi, but it's rather too expensive for the tofu version, especially since it won't fill you up. We didn't notice anything else special about the sandwich, neither a good sauce nor was the tofu specially marinated. That's not to say it doesn't taste good - it wasn't actually bad - but it doesn't stand out from its immediate competition. In addition, there are bored staff who prefer to look at their cell phones rather than at the customers and who don't say "bye" when you say goodbye and leave the restaurant. Combined with the somewhat artificial interior design, it's no longer worth a visit for me.

They actually serve authentic Vietnamese food here and the owners are Vietnamese which I’d never thought I’d find in Europe. Usually the Vietnamese restaurants in Europe just make popular dishes from all over Asia like pad Thai, sushi, orange chicken, etc. since Europeans think Asia is just one big monolithic culture. However, this place actually serves Vietnamese food that is eaten in Vietnam. The food is great too.

One of the best establishments on Alexanderplatz. If you want a tasty and inexpensive meal, or rather a satisfying meal, then this is it! The prices are very reasonable, the portions of food are quite large, and the food itself is delicious. It gets crowded in the evening)

The shop is located right next to the metro station at Alexanderplatz, one of the most central parts of Berlin, if not the most central. The space of the store has a moderate capacity since it can accommodate around 15 people at the same time. The staff are highly professional. Dedicated to their work. I went because I read the very good reviews about their Bahn mi which were really not far from reality. I got a Bahn mi with roast pork and it was really delicious. Its price seemed relatively bad to me, maybe it could have been 0.50 Cent cheaper. If I pass by there in the future, I will come back to take a Bahn mi for sure!

Feels to me as authentic as it gets. More than half of the customers are Vietnamese, that’s all you need to know. I got the no 6 Bahn Mi with pate and Vietnamese cold cuts. It’s delicious.

I grabbed a Bành mì for a quick bite during lunch time. It was decent. Filled my stomach. Nothing more special about it. I haven’t tried any other main dishes. I hope they are better.

The „banh mi“ are very standard and nothing special. I’m very disappointed with the curry sauce, it is so salty that it became bitter. However when I ask the employees to change it, they were so angry and with a rude attitude , said :” That can not be salty” 😡Unbelievable… Do not understand what I do to deserve this… Never come to this place again.

Beer was a tad warmer than I've experienced elsewhere in Berlin but could be that the fridge doors were being open and closed a lot. Bahn Mi was ok. I've had much better back home and for much less money. I don't think the male cashier knows how to smile. He looked at me as if I'd just dropped a big smelly fart. Maybe he was having a bad day but as the saying goes "Tres jolie Coco, tres jolie".

Great authentic vietnamese food here. They are usually busy here with dine. In and take out orders, so you will have to wait for your food. Everything seems fresh here. I really enjoyed my banh mi sandwich. My friend thought the Pho soup was about average. Our food took about ten to fifteen minutes, but it was busy. The prices are very reasonable for this tourist area. I would definitely come back here to eat.

Just a few steps from Alexanderplatz station and have various vietnamese dishes. All is average with an ok portion. Not the best but would not disappoint you if you want to grab a quick bite.

The banh mi is normal, but the service and staff attitude here are huge minus points. No greeting, no smile, no instructions. We went in and just stood there until they came out and ordered things with an attitude like someone forced them to do the work

Arrived at 11h 50 and found a little table. Pretty lucky because this place is super popular! We were served quickly and the staff is super friendly. It's cheap and taste good. Definitely recommend.

Nice little Vietnamese grill, especially known for their Banh Mi which was pretty good. Not the best but pretty good. They also serve other food but mainly these tasty Vietnamese baguettes. There are quiet a few seats inside and 3 more tables outside. It's okay to sit ther nur pretty noisy because of the big street in front

Literally the only Vietnamese place in Berlin that hasn't had it's menu bastardized with edamame, sushi, Udon, pad thai, and anything else that happens to be "Asian"

The place is good for a quick snack. Reasonable prices and decent quality. Didn’t receive a lot of smiles here however, so that definitely is a bummer.

4 months ago, I went to Berlin and my friend took me to a restaurant for breakfast. I ordered char siu bread. To be honest, at that time, I thought the cake was delicious (4 stars). And last week I visited again and ordered the same food, but the food was no longer as delicious as before, and the table was not clean. In addition, the service attitude of the staff here is not very good, rude, unpleasant, and unfriendly . If I have the opportunity to come to Berlin, I will not visit this restaurant again.

It was delicious! Only thing is that we came with a friend who has coeliac disease and after trying to ask what was safe for her to eat (apart from the GF) buns, they were not very helpful. In the end our order was not 100% GF as suggested and our friend was unwell afterwards. Would be great if in future a bit more care would be taken or more transparency if the person is unsure of the ingredients including gluten.

August 2, 2024 I'm Vietnamese, came to Berlin to visit but was really disappointed with the restaurant. When I arrived, the cashier of the restaurant was disrespectful to customers. I asked for the restaurant's special bread, but he didn't answer, but he still had an attitude towards me and pointed to the price list. Then continued to dial the phone without paying any attention. If I didn't support Vietnamese restaurants and didn't respect Vietnamese workers, I would have left and not ordered food. I ordered beef pho and chicken mango salad. Beef pho costs 11€ and has quite a bit of meat, the taste is a bit bland...mango salad, I don't understand why ripe mangoes are used to make the salad. I also admit that no matter how delicious the food is, if the staff's attitude is like that, the restaurant will collapse. Attitude to chase away customers, just ring the phone and get the job done. If any Vietnamese friends ask me to suggest Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin, I will tell them to avoid them. Sincerely, see you again a second time.

Very tasty, good prices, friendly staff

The food is phenomenal for the value and portions. The price was almost unbelievable compared to other sit down restaurants. My curry tasted great and honestly I couldn't finish it. Amazing place, I'd come back in a heartbeat.

The banh mi here is the best I have ever had! It is so delicious and I highly recommend coming here. The food is made on the spot which I like. There is wifi, indoor/outdoor seating, as well as a bathroom available. The menu offers both meat and vegetarian options. I ordered the tofu banh mi and loved it!

Great place for delicious Vietnamese dishes. The banh mi with meatballs is a poem, the summer rolls and especially the sauce are fresh and delicious. The Pho was also tasty. I would come here again and again for a snack.

Delicious food for reasonable prices

I had a very disappointing experience at this Vietnamese restaurant. The food was mediocre at best, with dishes that were completely unflavorful and lacking the vibrant, fresh tastes that Vietnamese cuisine is known for. To make matters worse, the service was absolutely terrible. The staff were rude and treated customers as if they were an inconvenience. It felt like they saw us as their enemies rather than guests they were supposed to serve. Overall, it was a very unpleasant dining experience. I would strongly recommend taking your money elsewhere. There are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants that offer delicious food and much better service.

Banh Mi are delicious, but not the best in town. I find the baguettes a bit too “cheap”, they are too airy and too light and have hardly any substance, a bit like the particularly cheap white supermarket wheat rolls. I still had summer rolls, which were “okay” too. In the end, a total of €11 for the meal without a drink is fair. But I probably won't come here specifically anymore.
