Hands down the best Vietnamese food I've ever had (in Germany)

A small, very inconspicuous shop with very tasty Pho that tastes strong.

I'm not sure why, it's actually one of my favorite places for lunch. The dining room was never super stylish, but now it just seems cheap and the food was far away from the usual level... I had ordered take-away, so I couldn't give my negative feedback directly in the store... I I hope it was just a slip, otherwise it would be a real shame.

Criminally underrated. When I entered this restaurant I was taken aback by the fact that it was completely empty while the street was teeming with people. Every other restaurant seemed to have some activity except for Green Rice, so I decided to give the place a chance. Don't let the low prices deter you, the food is wonderful and the portions are generous. As soon as I sat down, people came pouring in. The ambiance is as barebones as it gets, and the charm of the place lies in its simplicity. A few tables, a huge photograph of a woman (which I found hilariously misplaced yet quirky in an attractive way) and the sympathy of the owners are part what you can expect. I doubt you'd be disappointed at the price point they conduct their business. Give it a try!

Hat sich hier etwas geändert? Hab da eigentlich sehr gern gegessen... aber gerade ein Gericht bekommen, das total anders schmeckte, sehr schlecht :( sorry das ist unterirdisch für den Preis!

The soul of Pho lies in the soup! The owners are this older generation, that is just great at creating mater flavor soup! And the noodles are always in their tiptop shape, chewy, and flavorful! Honestly much better than the other Pho place down the street, and cheaper! The poor service here shows the price, honestly, I have no problem “self serving”. As long as the Pho is this legit!

The food was very delicious and nice big portions! Also amazing prices! Definetly recommend coming here when you‘re on a budget! The space is very little and narrow but otherwise very nice service!

Good food and good vibes, little clumsy for bigger crowd. We ordered mango salat, ga sa ot, riescurry and everything came up with rice. They speak little bit of English and good German. Also they only take cash.

I gaved this place a second chance today (it’s “not expansive” and good - so maybe i had a bad day 4years ago when I was here last - i thought) I thought wrong. Positive Überraschung, extrem lecker und faire Preise. Man merkt, dass das Gemüse frisch ist und ohne Glutamat gekocht wird. Vorallem das Pho Curry ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Decor / eating experience is fine, but food is terrible. I tried the tofu curry and the noodles, both were bad and not cheap (9€).

Wir waren schon oft hier. War bisher ok. Aber gestern waren wir (zu dritt) bitter enttäuscht. Die Preise erhöht! Der Laden/die Tische dreckig alles klebte. An derWand hingen Spinnen. Und das Wichtigste: alle drei Speisen haben nicht geschmeckt. Die Fischsoße roch merkwürdig. Und alles war total versalzen! Als ich die Dame ansprechen wollte sah ich wie sie grade mit den Fingern ihre Zahnzwischenräume versuchte sauber zu bekommen. Dann kam sie kassieren ohne ihre Finger zu waschen. Das gab uns den Rest! Nie wieder!!!

Sehr sehr lecker. Ich hatte die Nr. 2 - sehr cremig und eine schön große Portion. Preis-Leistung wirklich perfekt. Das Essen kam schnell und wurde schön Präsentiert. Kommen definitiv wieder.

Small place, badly furnished and uncomfortable. Very restricted menu. I got a phosuppe with chewy pre-fried tofu cubes. Not bad, but not good either. haven't seen the toilets and they don't have a credit card. Better to eat elsewhere.

We ordered 2 dishes, but in the end they served completely another dishes, saying that because of the different languages, they understood differently. I politely asked if it’s possible to change the dish to the one that we wanted and they just pretended not to understand, just to get rid of us and not to change the dish. But the food is tasty .

Very informal, small restaurant. Self-service, quite limited menu. Good prices. The food was good, but not amazing. My tofu-pineapple rice was a bit flavorless. Tea is just Kaufland teabags. But the green rice smoothie is super tasty! Important: cash only.

Wir LIEBEN die Pho, die es hier zu kaufen gibt! Das Restaurant ist sehr klein, hat eine kleine Karte und ein regelmäßiges wechselndes Aktionsgericht. Die Preise sind niedrig und die Qualität des Essens ist großartig. Hier essen wir gerne Pho, denn die Brühe ist so unfassbar gut, dass wir da bisher keine annähernde Konkurrenz finden konnten.

I always go to this place when I am in Berlin. The food is good and what is very nice they have cold, not so expensive beers. At their little terrace outside, you have a great view on everyone passing by in Kottbosser Tor area. It's a nice area to do some people watching. Great fun! The ladies from the restaurant are also very friendly and nice. I can fully recommend this place. It's small but that makes it special.

Always coming back for their glass noodle salad

I was wondering why this place is always empty now I know - it’s absolute terrible. My friend ordered a dish and she found a hair in her dish, and my curry was just bad and had almost no chicken. When she said that there is a hair there was no apology, no simple sorry…, they replaced the meal with angry look at their face, but without any kind words. I really discourage everyone from coming to that place because it’s not only non hygienic but also tasteless. Just next doors there is as well an Asian restaurant which is much better than this misunderstanding called greenrice.

Every few months I get the craving and I find a reason to go to kotti and have the tofu glass noodle salad. I'll go alone I don't care. I never order anything else. Never close green rice

The food here is amazingly fresh. I come here often to get the lemongrass beef. The lady who runs the shop is very nice, friendly and an incredible chef.

Tasty and cheap. Small menu which is always a sign of good food. I’ve only ever had the Pho from here but I’m sure the other dishes are equally nice.

Ein Geheimtip, kein schnickschnack, leckeres Essen im Selfservice, fair gepreist, gute Musik und ein Enigmatisches Bild an der Wand - dann alles auch noch ohne Glutamat oder andere Geschmacksverstärker zubereitet - vielen vielen Dank für diese seltsame seltene Perle im Kiez.

Great curry with duck! Definitely was a good recommendation from my friend. Though the State of Berlin needs to take better care of the poorest and homeless here at Kottbusser Tor. I was stared at by a homeless woman while eating, and unfortunately I had no cash with me to give her. These people need a warm place to sleep and food on the table, that would make the dining experience here 5 stars.

Ich habe hier mal vor ca zwei Jahren gegessen gehabt. Ich hatte nur noch ein Bild von den Gerichten an der Aussentür fotografiert gehabt sowie das Gericht selbst und habe mir geschworen, wenn ich erneut in Berlin bin, wieder hierher zu kommen. Ich habe noch nie so gutes vietnamesisches Essen gegessen gehabt. Ich bin echt hin und weg und habe jetzt stundenlang auf Google Maps gesucht gehabt bis ich das Restaurant wieder gefunden habe. Personal war damals sehr freundlich und wie gesagt das Essen einfach nur der Hammer. Wie gesagt richtig richtig richtig gut. Sowas gibt es leider nicht da wo ich wohne :/

Bisher mit das beste Essen was ich in Berlin so gegessen habe. Die Preise sind nicht sonderlich hoch, die Portionen sehr gut und die Zubereitung wirklich phänomenal. Ein Freund der dabei war hatte versehentlich ein Gericht mit Tofu anstelle von Huhn bestellt. Es hat es mir bis zum Ende nicht glauben wollen, dass es Tofu ist, weil es so gut zubereitet war. Ganz große klasse - ich komme auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder :-)

Hier gibt es gutes Essen und mit freundlichem Personal. Der Laden ist klein und gemütlich. Die Speisen werden schnell zubereitet, schmecken lecker und haben eine gute Portionsgröße. Hier stimmt die Qualität und der Preis.

The Bun Bo Xao Sa was excellent! In fact I this this is the best Vietnamese beef rice noodle I've ever had. Extremely tasty beef and soup, fresh vegies, crunchy peanut. Can't wait to have it again! Unfortunately we wolfed it down in no time and forgot to take photos...

Not a great experience. I ordered the stir fried chicken with noodles and salad. Essentially it was just a bowl of rice noodles with some chicken on top. The ‘salad’ was a tiny sprinkling of herbs. It was fairly flavourless. Wouldn’t return.

Delicious, nutritious, fast, inexpensive, convenient, and pretty. What’s not to love!
