I've been to this restaurant several times and I'm always thrilled. The food is incredibly delicious, everything is fresh and prepared with great care. You can immediately tell the quality is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience – from the ambiance to the service. The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

We ate here. The food was absolutely delicious. They have gluten-free pizza, which is fantastic for people with celiac disease. Unfortunately, one of the waiters was very unfriendly. It was obvious he wasn't very motivated to work. I think that's a shame, as it ruins the otherwise great experience of the delicious food and the lovely atmosphere.

Very, very disappointing. I came to this restaurant looking for a good Italian place (the 4.5 rating on Google also reassured me), so I was very disappointed by the tasteless food, the dirty establishment, and the deplorable service (largely due, I think, to the understaffing). I ordered the vegan bolognese, which was nothing like bolognese but rather pasta with vegetables, which were also very bland. My boyfriend ordered the meat bolognese, which wasn't any better. What a shame.

We had a reservation and, according to the sign at the entrance, were supposed to wait. After a short while, we were asked from a distance if we had a reservation and told we could simply choose a table. However, once seated, it took about 15-20 minutes before anyone took our order. The food – two pizzas – arrived quickly and tasted good. Nothing spectacular, but solid Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, the service was very disorganized: long waits for drinks, hardly any attention, dirty dishes left untouched – even when dessert was served, nothing was cleared away. Similar scenes unfolded for other guests, creating an overall chaotic impression. Apparently, only one or two servers were responsible for both the bar and the tables at any given time. The ambiance is rustic, but lacks comfort (a wooden bench without cushions) and has shortcomings in cleanliness. In conclusion: excellent food, terrible service – the food saved the evening, but the flow and organization urgently need improvement.

I visited this establishment. The food was delicious, but the service was absolutely terrible. The waiter said all the tables were occupied, no seats available. I pointed out the empty tables, but no one had cleared them. Half of the tables were empty. So, the waiters deliberately leave tables empty to reduce the number of people they have to serve. The waiter cleared one table especially for us, and we sat down. About 10 people arrived after us, and everyone was turned away because there were supposedly no tables. We ordered food, but 15 minutes later another waiter came to take our order. After I told him we had already ordered and were waiting, he said there was a system glitch and our order had been lost. I'd like to point out to the owner that the establishment is pleasant, beautiful, and cozy, and the chefs cook great food 👍, but please change the waiters, especially the guy in the black baseball cap.

We were looking for a restaurant that welcomes dogs and is wheelchair accessible. This place met all our requirements. The service was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable.

Awful food, bland frozen chicken used on one dish with unseasoned cream on top. Then a ‘ragu’ that was solid dry cubes of beef with fusilli pasta. About as far away from Italian food as you can get.

Unfortunately, I can't give it a good rating. Of the four items ordered, two tasted good, but not particularly good. The bruschetta was terrible, the baguette was thickly sliced ​​and hard, the avocado was cut so thin that it had to be eaten with a fork. The service was unavailable. We waited 20 minutes for the bill even though there were only a few people in the restaurant, after which we paid at the bar. Most of the items on the menu are organic, with few meat options. Recommended for vegans, but I suggest adding your own spices. I won't be going back there.

Pizza con zucca e formaggio vgt (pumpkin pizza) was my first time trying it. It was delicious. The place is clean, the staff are helpful. Reservations are required for dinner.

Amazing Food, kind and awesome people!

I'm always satisfied; the food is delicious, they offer gluten-free options, and I find the place very inviting. The only downside is that it's always hectic; it seems like there's never a day without staff shortages. Even though they try their best, you sometimes have to wait a long time.

All pasta dishes were available gluten free aswell as the pizza. Both were delicious & would highly recommend to anyone gluten free visiting Cologne. I had the pasta with veal which was cooked perfectly.

For the price, the pizza with fungus and pressed ham was rather sparsely topped. However, the crust was nice and thin and crispy. The calzone pizza was a real standout; it was generously filled and even stayed warm throughout. The waiter was very attentive, taking great care of the disabled lady at the next table. On the downside, the card payment process was a bit of a letdown, as the only options for a tip were 5%, 10%, or rounding up. So, I ended up rounding up by 20 cents. Instead of €3.20...

This restaurant was amazing as someone with gluten intolerance! I really struggled to find good options but this restaurant offers pizza and pasta. I ordered pizza and was told it’s smaller than the usual pizza (standard) but when it came it was a decent size and THICK which never happens. Only thing is you have to pay €3 extra for the gf base which we don’t really do in the UK. Otherwise it was a nice restaurant. We paid €63 for 2 pizzas (1 gf), 2 sprites and 1 beer.

We had a great experience at this Italian restaurant. The food was perfectly good and offered fair value for the price. The menu was very detailed, with clear indications for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, which made choosing dishes much easier. The service, however, was truly exceptional. Even though we mixed up the date of our reservation, the staff were incredibly accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of. Everyone was friendly and professional, and we felt genuinely welcomed throughout our visit. A special shout-out to our server, Saini, who was exceptionally kind and helpful - he really made the evening even better. Highly recommended!

The price-performance ratio is really good for the city center location. The appetizers were very good. The pizza was also okay. We found the pasta rather bland, and the meat was very tough and partly gristly. In conclusion: it's a great place for lunch with a child. The service is very good and child-friendly. The pizza and appetizers are good.

We visited the Cologne branch with a large group in the early afternoon. We had previously inquired about the available options and offers. Nico was very courteous and helpful. He pointed out the most economical option for our group. Our preferred seats (a quiet corner for the hearing impaired) were reserved, and we received a warm welcome upon arrival. The service was quick and attentive. Even special requests (lactose-free/vegetarian) were easily accommodated. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. After our meal, we were given a very pleasant send-off. We would gladly return to Nico's Mama Trattoria in Cologne and highly recommend the restaurant!

When I complained (a salad that costs €15, it should be tasty), the waiter's response was, "Yeah, that's possible, I don't eat every meal here... we get the chanterelles washed (a little hint: we're restaurateurs ourselves; even the washed chanterelles we deliver say they should be washed again)! Sorry, but they apologize to the guest and remove the uneaten food from the bill. They even offer compensation. But all I can say is, "Service desert D." The food was only removed from the bill after I pointed it out to the waiter when paying. Unfortunately, these are reasons for me not to visit this restaurant again.

Yes, hello. I wanted to report something from yesterday. I was in Cologne yesterday, at the pizzeria Mama Trattoria. It was almost deserted – only one table was occupied. First, my colleague and I sat down at a table. Then a woman wanted to sit somewhere else. Shortly after, a waiter came who seemed to me to be from the South. But to be honest, he was quite a liar. He simply accused us wrongly. And not just us – other guests were also wrongly accused. He was also very rude and seemed lazy. We ordered pizza and pasta. The pasta was for Silli. I think it was from a pre-packaged dish or something, I'm not sure. Anyway, it was in a lukewarm tomato sauce that tasted like water. Then I asked a waitress for some chicken to go with it. When the pasta arrived, it didn't taste good at all. I ate it with difficulty because I didn't feel like complaining – many people had previously told me that they handle complaints very strangely. The pizza dough was okay, but the base was burnt. We were charged €5.50 for four small pieces of chicken. The food arrived very late, even though there were hardly any customers. I think this is an extremely bad place. I can't recommend anyone go there. The food doesn't taste good, the service is poor, and the prices are too high. I've also heard that they mix pasta water while cooking – even for gluten-free dishes – which is very problematic for people with allergies. The female server was fine at first, until she suddenly made a false statement. While this has nothing directly to do with the food, it shows how strange things are there. In conclusion: The pasta was hard, the pizza was burnt, the service was unfriendly, and it was an overall expensive and bad experience. I will never go there again and can't recommend it to anyone.

Hello, I just ate there about 30 minutes ago. When we arrived and sat down, an employee told us to order up front?? And accused my mother of insulting a member of staff, even though we'd only been sitting down for a few minutes. Anyway, when it came to the food, the noodles were very soft, and the employee made us extra chicken without telling us there was a €5.50 surcharge for six small pieces of chicken, and it only appears twice, hidden away in a corner of the menu where no one looks. It was truly the worst meal ever... I can't recommend it.

We come to Cologne once a year to visit relatives. This restaurant has now become a regular stopover. The value for money is simply top-notch. The seasonal dishes are simply excellent. The homemade lemonade is highly recommended. Service is very fast and friendly. The ambiance is appropriate, but of course, it's not a small, romantic restaurant, but rather one geared more towards walk-in customers. We'll see you next year when we visit Cologne. Best from BW

Truly delicious food and very friendly, attentive service. The restaurant is also well-equipped for the little ones – there's a separate children's menu. Our child wanted to color, and the friendly waitress immediately brought us crayons. We were with a larger group, including a child and a dog – and everyone received a warm welcome. A very pet-friendly and welcoming place. The prices are also absolutely fair and family-friendly. We'll definitely be back!

We also ordered a vegetarian salad, spinach ravioli, spaghetti Bolognese, and garlic bread. The latter was truly delicious! We'd love to come back and highly recommend this restaurant! Top!

In itself everything was fine, the price wasn't too expensive, so 15€ for a pasta dish is fine, but the amount of the portion, I had 7 ravioli with a little rocula and walnut pesto, I ate the portion within 5 minutes and wasn't even close to full
