Ordered pizza and after waiting almost 2 hours, our order was canceled for no reason.

Well, long wait for food, portions rather small for the price.

Unfortunately the pasta is below average and not well prepared for the price. Staff was nice. Nice ambience.

Once and never again. The drinks took ages, even though the place was empty, it's better to have a chat with the kitchen. Too bad.

Mama trattoria used to be a great restaurant, but unfortunately that has changed. The service was inattentive and annoyed, the waiting times were far too long. Everything seems chaotic today. The food wasn't as good as it used to be either. Very disappointing - I won't be returning here anytime soon.

We were there with a large group and I certainly understand that things don't always go smoothly. But it took a hell of a long time until we were asked what we wanted and then my pizza arrived a good 10 minutes later than the dishes from my companion. There was nothing more than a rude "sorry" and when I didn't immediately tip when paying, the waitress stared at me expectantly and somewhat disparagingly for a while. The prices and the service are a disgrace. In the end she searched for change in her wallet in an extremely laborious manner until I gave up the missing 50ct change.

The service was very friendly and attentive. The waiter David Ćheftchuk paid attention to many little things, which made this evening very pleasant.

“Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Gamberi” – a dish that is normally a treat was completely ruined in this “Italian” restaurant. Why “Italian” in quotation marks? Because there is NOT a single real, respectable Italian restaurant in the entire world that serves spaghetti cut into tiny pieces! And certainly not with the consistency of a slimy porridge. As the name suggests, I expected garlic – and lots of it. Instead I got a dish with no garlic, no pepper and not even a pinch of salt. In addition, normal cooking oil was used instead of olive oil. In a good restaurant, Gamberi will be served with these beautiful large shrimps. You hardly see them at Mama's in Winterhude... tiny, sad attempts at shrimp. All in all: expensive, tasteless and just disappointing!

Service very bad. Reservations are forgotten (we had to wait 1 hour for our reserved table outside). Wrong dishes are brought, half are missing and suddenly sold out after triple demand. Dishes are cold. Drinks are too many and also wrong. Was definitely the first and last visit.

Habe via Wolt hier bestellt. Zuerst kam die Lieferung zu spät, lag wohl auch daran das ich 10min mit dem Fahrer telefonieren musste damit er mich findet. Drei Passanten wurden nach dem Weg gefragt. Die Suppe war nicht warm gehalten, stand einfach oben auf der Transportbox. Auch die Pizza aus der Box war kalt, warm wäre sie glaub ich lecker gewesen. Die Temperatur lag wohl an der wegzeit und nicht finden. Der Support von Wolt hat mir dann die Hälfte erstattet, was ich nicht als ausreichend empfinde. Bin selber Gastronom, die bezahlte Leistung wurde nicht erbracht. Auch nicht mit 50% Rabatt. Dann sollte ich meine Lieferung auch noch an der Straße abholen.sorry, das können viele besser. Auch wenn mal schief geht, kann man besser lösen. Ich hätte lieber ne neue einwandfreie Lieferung gehabt als die Hälfte des Geldes zurück. Tut mir leid fürs Restaurant aber irgendwo soll der Hergang zu lesen sein!

I ordered here via Wolt. First, the delivery was late, probably because I had to spend 10 minutes on the phone with the driver so he could find me. Three passers-by were asked for directions. The soup wasn't kept warm, it was just sitting on top of the transport box. The pizza from the box was also cold, I think it would have been delicious warm. The temperature was probably due to the time away and couldn't find it. Wolt support then refunded me half, which I don't think is enough. I am a restaurateur myself, the service paid for was not provided. Not even with a 50% discount. Then I should also pick up my delivery on the street. Sorry, many people can do that better. Even if something goes wrong, you can solve it better. I would have preferred a new, perfect delivery than half the money back. I'm sorry for the restaurant, but the story should be read somewhere!

The food was very tasty, a good start to the family reunion followed by a visit to the theater. Service was great, the waiter was in a great mood... nothing more was possible!

I find non-alcoholic wheat beer for 6.90 euros more than borderline.

We go there at least twice a week and love both the delicious food and the attentive and super nice staff. It's almost always quiet and relaxed, so you can eat comfortably and unwind in the middle of the city.

Excessive prices for 0815 pizza and bolo. Never again.

I had a very very good pasta with walnut pesto and rocket here! And since I live in the immediate area, this probably won't be my last visit. Is a recommendation!

We went here for dinner this afternoon. At first the service was super attentive and quick. However, if one of the service staff isn't there, someone tends to look into the kitchen for 2 minutes, lost in thought, and doesn't notice that we had finished the main course and didn't have any more drinks. If things had gone faster here, we would have had dessert. Food was super tasty and also sufficient. Price/performance okay - we are in Winterhude. You can definitely do it again, but the service should pay a little more attention to its guests.

The restaurant leaves an overall mixed impression, mainly due to organizational inadequacies and an unbalanced price-performance ratio. Even the voucher value was not visible to the guest, which represented a regrettable lack of transparency. In addition, the employee was unable to provide reliable information about the validity period of the voucher, which led to confusion. Although the voucher could ultimately be redeemed after more than two years, clearer communication in this context would be desirable. The service was also unsatisfactory as the drinks were served significantly late, which spoiled the overall impression. The food itself was also not convincing: the pizza, which was priced higher than at comparable restaurants such as L'Osteria, was not very generously topped and left the feeling that it did not live up to expectations. Overall, the portions were not very filling. The ambience also left something to be desired, with small and uncomfortable chairs further detracting from the dining experience. In summary, both service, quality and comfort should be improved to provide guests with a satisfactory experience.

Like Italian, tastes great. The ingredients on the pizzas could be a bit more, a bit stingy in my opinion!

While looking for an Italian restaurant with outdoor dining, the four of us as a family came across "MAMA" in Winterhude. The seating outside is benches, and the first contact with the waitress gave us the obligatory bread basket. The restaurant was not (yet) well attended on Sunday at 5.30 p.m., the drinks were served quickly, but the starter, an antipasti plate for two people for 18.90 EUR, took a long time - you were rewarded for that... not. On the plate there are only vegetables (boiled/fried), but in the amount of a carrot and half a pepper, some eggplant, mushrooms and two slices of tomato with mozzarella, plus an unmotivated jar of undressed lentils and a lemon wedge - why? The plate was crowned with dry veal and splashes of tuna sauce. The capers, however, were really good when roasted. Pizza and pasta afterwards, well...daaaaaaaafter were ok, but the Pizza Vitello was, as expected, disappointing after the starter with the same dry veal, which found its place cold on the pizza after it was baked. Yes, it's system catering, but I usually get more service for the same money at the Italian restaurant next door!

I can't get used to the concept. Had pasta with veal, taste was ok, the meat was tough and stringy. The service was nice, but no one even asked how it tasted, somehow careless. I prefer to go to an Italian restaurant where the food is cooked properly and you are recognized as a guest. Addendum: Yesterday, July 13th, I was persuaded to go to mom again. We were 10 people. The pizza wasn't really hot, the open white wine was sour, but the biggest outrage was the risotto with chanterelles, it was more like rice pudding and completely tasteless. My pasta with chanterelles was also completely boring. What is offered here has absolutely nothing to do with Italian cuisine. The service is nice, but unfortunately that doesn't help when the food is such a disaster. Convenience everywhere... I can only advise against it.

We were there on a Saturday with 10 people. We had reserved. There were only 2 service staff who really tried very hard. The risotto was lukewarm and obviously made from rice pudding. It should be a chanterelle risotto. But there were only very few chanterelles on it. Instead, lots of celery. The pizza was cold. The pizza bread came without dips. The salads were very bland. There weren't enough wine glasses so we had to drink the wine from champagne glasses. Overall not recommended. The only thing that broke it was the very friendly young woman who served us.

Das Restaurant ist wahnsinnig langsam. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Pizza dauerte so lange, dass wir unser Konzert im Kampnagel verpasst hätten. Wir mussten vorzeitig ohne zu essen gehen.

I was there on June 12, 2024 with my daughter and granddaughter. Bright, clean restaurant (dining room and toilets), friendly staff, delicious food. The atmosphere is objective/practical. There are plenty of folding chairs/high chairs for small children.

The upstairs floor, where the toilets are located, had a strong smell of piss. (Like in a pub).

We were there a couple of weeks ago. The pizzas were a bit underwhelming, kinda tasted like Dr.Oetker. And it was just so expensive. We have tried a fair amount of Italian restaurants in Hamburg and this is unfortunately our least favourite. The service was nice though. For two pizzas and two drinks it was about 50 euros without the tip.

Today I ordered a pizza margarita, gluten free and buffalo mozzarella for €17 and it would be delivered to me in 30 minutes...the pizza was cold and really not tasty and the cheese was lost in the box.

Nice restaurant, but unfortunately the pasta wasn't served gluten-free, which unfortunately led to extreme stomach cramps the next morning. Marco Griesbach

De ja vu... once again Mustafa comments on the kitchen's failure in a friendly and diplomatic way. Once again the kitchen can't manage to get 3 pizzas ready at the same time... (My last review: Mustafa is probably the nicest waitress in all of Winterhude, but the kitchen can't manage to bake three pizzas within an hour... :-( and that even though there are only 5 tables occupied! And the rest of the service and... Kitchen staff seem listless and/or overwhelmed!)

Food was far too expensive for the quality offered. With pizza prices being quite high, there were also hefty surcharges for other types of flour. The "Calzone con Pollo" had a very bland taste and I had to vomit once in a long time the morning after eating it. Of course I'm not 100% sure whether it was because of the pizza. The drinks prices are also disproportionately high.

Great, friendly service, super tasty pizzas and super tasty appetizers. There are vegetarian, vegan and also gluten-free dishes and pizza. Everything freshly prepared. The gluten-free pizza dough is also made fresh and does not use ready-made dough like in other restaurants. The food is price-performance ratio right. Drinks are a little more expensive than elsewhere, but still within reason. I can only recommend Mama Trattoria. We'll definitely come back.

Friendly, attentive service even at peak times. Large gluten-free offering from starters to dessert. Gluten-free and vegan dishes are very well identified on the normal menu. From the caprese with buffalo mozzarella with delicious fresh pesto to the gratinated zucchini and eggplant in a tomato sugo with a bed of rocket and Grana Padano and garlic bread to the pizza with spicy salami both with and without gluten (homemade base), as well as the Pizza Diavola (really spicy) we were very satisfied with the taste and the portion size. The price-performance ratio for the food is right. The drinks are relatively expensive, but this is still within reason given the location. All in all we were very satisfied. The only downside was that the Créme Brulet was out, but that is a plus point as only small quantities are produced and you can be sure that everything is fresh. Small note: The sink area in the women's toilet needs a make-over, otherwise the shop is clean and quite comfortable. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for a successful, enjoyable evening.

Mama in Winterhude is a really cool spot - good food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The waiter's recommendation was a carbonara, which was brought to the table quickly and fresh. Accompanied by wine and panna cotta for dessert. The restaurant on Gertigstr. I can only warmly recommend it.

Unfortunately everything is really underground. We left after an hour because the starter still wasn't there. The nice waiter then said “that’s normal here…” Yes, thanks for the tip, I'll definitely never go there again! Hefeweizen 0.5l 6.6€ is it still possible?!

Online Reservierung klappt super, Preis-Leistung passt grundsätzlich auch, die Pastaportionen sind ein wenig klein. Das Personal sehr freundlich, aber etwas behäbig in ihrer Bedienung.

If you are looking for an Italian cosine with a fair price in a quite nice atmosphere, here is a good place to go. I gave them 4 stars since I prefer to have more tasty food, with a better mixture of spices and cheese.

Auf einem Sonntag um 18 Uhr recht dünn besucht. Sehr modern - erinnert stark an Systemgastronomie. Pasta sehr mittelmäßig, kaum Soße. Auch auf der Bowl war sehr wenig Dressing. Personal freundlich - Gemütlichkeit eines Italiener fehlte komplett. Preise jedoch recht fair.

Đã ăn nhiều mama. Nhiều nhất mama ở city, pizza giá cả hợp lý mỳ tươi và ngon. Noi chung để ăn nhanh là hợp lý.

Ein klares geht so. Die Pizza Gamberi war geschmacklich sehr langweilig, da geht sicherlich mehr. Auch das Bier vom Faß für stolze 6,20 hatte nicht die richtige Temperatur. Auf Nachfrage wurde gesagt, dass es Probleme mit dem Thermostat gibt. Hätte man auch bei der Bestellung schon mal sagen können. Ambiente naja. Keine Musik, eher einfach ne Halle mit Tische und Stühlen. Essen kam nach ca. 1 Stunde. Wiederholung sehr fraglich.

Gute Auswahl, extrem leckeres Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung - was will man mehr? Absolute Empfehlung. Wir sind immer sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder!

Der Service ist hervorragend und das Essen ist fast das beste der Welt (sagt unsere Tochter☺️ ) Die Essensauswahl ist toll, hier findet jeder etwas - egal ob traditionelles italienisches Essen, vegetarisch oder vegan, und selbst für Kinder gibt es eine extra Karte und etwas zum Malen…! Das Essen ist absolut weiterzuempfehlen. Vor allem die Pizza ist super lecker. Es gibt einige vegane Alternativen und der Service ist immer (kinder)freundlich. Es gibt Malstifte und Papier für Kinder zur Beschäftigung.

Kann ich nur empfehlen. Modernes gemütliches Ambiente. Man hat auch die Möglichkeit draußen zu sitzen. Faire Preise. Essen geschmacklich gut.

Super leckeres Essen. Gefühlt hat von den 5 Kellnern nur eine tatsächlich gearbeitet. Die Aufgabe der anderen 4 war es anscheinend Nummer 5 mit Arbeit zu versorgen.

Gute italienische Systemgastronomie. Leider wurde die Karte verändert, so dass ich mein Lieblingsgericht nicht mehr essen konnte.

Das Ambiente geht Richtung Kantine, einfach und schlicht. Teilweise Bänke ohne Rückenlehne. Der Service ist freundlich und schnell,weist aber nicht auf Besonderheiten hin. Das Spezi besteht aus 2 Flaschen, Milchkaffee bestellt (ohne Widerrede oder Hinweis). Filterkaffee mit Milch kommt. Nachfrage ergibt, wir haben gar keinen Milchkaffee. Hätte man erwähnen können. Das Essen, wir hatten Pasta, war qualitativ in Ordnung, vom Geschmack her langweilig bis fad. Fazit: Ein nächstes Mal wird es nicht geben.

Als Familie waren wir zufrieden. Kinder bekamen etwas zu malen, trinken kam schnell. Der gewünschte Strohhalm wurde auch ganz fix gebracht. Das Essen dauerte auch nicht lang und alle haben aufgegessen. Wir sind sehr zufrieden.

Sehr lange auf den Kellner zwischendurch gewartet. Essen war OK, aber mehr auch nicht!

Haben ausschließlich Sachen mit Dinkelmehl bestellt wegen einer Weizenmehl Allergie schmeckte alles super lecker gerne wieder 😊

Als wir heute Abend im Restaurant Mama in Winterhude zu Abend gegessen haben. Ist uns ein quasi die Nudel im Hals stecken geblieben, als wir ein lautstarken Streit des Personals mitbekommen mussten. Der kleine „Giftzwerg“ maulte lautstark seine Arme Kollegin an und benahm sich äußerst unangebracht. Das Essen, die Lokalität und die anderen zwei Servicekräfte waren wie gewohnt top!
