Bolognese without much flavor, slow service and above all a very unfriendly employee who ended up ruining the whole experience.

Food was ok. Nothing special. However, very small portions. That was quite a surprise. The ambience was quite nice and so was the service.

We were a group. We ate three types of pasta, penne all' angerta, fusilli with mushrooms and fusilli carbonara. Then a tiramisu. The food is good but not great. The pasta was not al dente. The staff however is very helpful and kind. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, but two were out of order. We were there at a time when there was almost no one there. Perhaps this is also why we had the waiter all to ourselves. The prices are excellent. The location is perfect for those who would like to visit the Brandenburg Gate or the parliament.

The food was excellent, the friend who served us was very kind and friendly and the place is very comfortable and cozy. I totally recommend it, plus the prices are very affordable.

We ordered a margherita pizza and a calzone. In contrast to the description in the menu, the calzone did not have ham in it. The waiter, upon asking, informed us that the chef did put ham in it. Nevertheless, we failed to find its presence. Location and services are okay. Food seems to be overpriced.

Very good food but extremely unfriendly staff, a shame

Salad very good, spaghetti ok, waiting times insufficient. 1 hour wait as an individual and 30 minutes to eat. Salad was quick, but main menu... I was also forgotten twice, which left a bitter aftertaste.

We were there today with our kids. The main reason for our visit was that our oldest needed gluten-free food and we became aware of it through some research. It was more than worth it. The food was great and we were all full and completely satisfied at the end. The portions are of sufficient size and the quality was absolutely right. I haven't eaten pizza this good in a long time!

The food and drink selection was extremely extensive. Especially since it was also very tasty. I also liked that there were vegan options, such as milk alternatives and antipasti. Tuni, the waiter, served us well with his humor and generally made us feel very comfortable :) Gladly again 🙇🏼‍♀️

The food was very tasty, we all enjoyed it. The service was also very good and present all the time. There is a star deduction for the 10% tip that we were obliged to pay without being informed of it before our order.

The food is pretty average. The pizza had a thin but very tasteless crust. It was on par with a frozen supermarket pizza. The Pasta was unfortunately a bit overcooked but it was fine. Definitely not worth the price imo. There are many better Italian places in Berlin but for the location I think it’s fine. It’s a very touristy area. The service was good and attentive.

The carpaccio starter was good but I ordered carbonara pasta and it was horrible, tasteless and the products were of low quality. I would like to highlight the attention of the manager and he has discounted the dish from my bill but I would not go back.

Correct gluten-free options. Sorry about the service. They threw away the tip for being insufficient, I think that's not the way to treat customers. The service is optional not an obligation, just for the treatment I would not recommend coming

We walked around and really wanted to eat. We saw this cafe and were not mistaken. Prices are reasonable, almost 30€ for two. We ordered pasta, and they brought us simply gorgeous portions; we ate to our hearts’ content. I advise)

The pasta with vegetables was not good at all. A few pasta, with a lot of oil and vegetables that didn't fit at all and simply had nothing to do with Italian. Unfortunately, nothing was seasoned either. We mentioned this on our own (without asking) when the waiter was clearing the plates, but he didn't really care. No apology, no further inquiry, nothing. Very unfortunate.

Very good value for money overall! Located right next to the gate, this restaurant offers a nice selection of good quality meals! My friend and I both had pizza, one was gluten free. Other options are also available to address food restrictions. We went on a Sunday afternoon so we made a reservation before just to be on the safe side, but there seems to have been free table around that time. The quality of the food was nice, we enjoyed our meals, the staff were really nice and accommodating, and the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend it for casual dining with friends and family! They also have several toilets, and they were pretty clean.

They made us book for the evening of December 31st without notifying us that we would not be able to arrive due to the closed roads, they still withheld the booking money. Absurd ! Terrible experience

Wir haben die Trattoria Mama zu Sylvester besucht und konnten dort a la carte zu moderaten Preisen und in guter Qualität einen schönen Abend verbringen (sehr positiv: keine Zwang zu teuren Menus!). Es handelt sich um eine moderne Systemgastronomie mit individuellem Flair. Der Innenraum ist gemütlich und auch bei vollem Restaurant ist der Geräuschpegel moderat. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam; man ist bei "Mama" wirklich um die Gäste bemüht. Es gibt eine ansprechende und vielfältige Speisekarte mit einigen vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten, sowie einige besonders gesunde Speisen wie vegetarische Bowls mit Quinoa. Jede Pizza kann man auch mit Bio-Dinkel- oder Bio-Vollkornmehl erhalten. Wir hatten überbackene Aubergine und Salat als Vorspeise, Pizza als Hauptgang und Eis sowie den Schokokuchen mit flüssigem Kern als Nachspeise, dazu einen Pinot Grigio. Das Essen würden wir mit gut bis sehr gut bewerten, einzig die Pizza hätte doch deutlich knuspriger gebacken und besser gewürzt sein dürfen. Alles in allem jedoch ein schönes Restauranterlebnis. Immerhin sprechen wir über eine zentrale Location in Berlin Mitte (Pariser Platz), wo man eher eine Massenabfertigung erwartet - von daher ist die Trattoria eine Empfehlung!

What a joke! We contacted this restaurant by email well in advance of leaving Australia as we wanted to have a NYE booking locked in. Their website listed many gluten free options and as my wife is coeliac we wanted to be sure. We were assured they are very coeliac friendly. The area was fenced off due to the NYE celebrations but this wasn’t a problem as we were forewarned. We were ushered through by the police on guard with one saying ‘are you sure you want to go there?’ We thought it was a joke but alas. Upon arrival we ordered drinks, my wife a glass of sparkling wine which came in a champagne flute as it should, but less than half full. We then tried to order food to be told that they don’t have any gluten free options. When we questioned it the waiter was very disinterested and said ‘we’ve had a few gluten free customers today so it’s all gone’. We asked him to check with the kitchen and as he left he stopped to talk to another waitress who looked over and laughed, he returned to say the kitchen had said no. We advised we couldn’t stay so he proceeded to get the bill for the half champagne (charged at full rate) and my glass of coke. At least they shouldn’t have charged for the drinks in my opinion. We told them how disappointing it was as we now didn’t have a chance of getting a meal and frankly he couldn’t have cared less. Simple…..don’t go here, they don’t deserve the business!!

Central good station to eat but service not so polite and the noodles lacked seasoning. Then I ordered a Lillet wild berry and I got one without bears huh??? At the end they said they had no more berries. I wouldn't recommend it.

I was sitting in a coffee shop and the waiter pressed the tip button himself at the last second, increasing the price by 7 percent. But don't think I'm stingy. I understand that you might want to eat something else besides dog food, like a good porridge. I wish him bon appetit, and I wish you fewer customers and more expenses!

Great atmosphere and one of the rare restaurants where you can dine in Berlin. We had a very nice dinner with the wonderful service of our Turkish friend Tuncay. We paid 66 EU for 3 people including service.

The pastas are not fresh in our opinion, but dried pasta. Tasted fine, but perhaps we expected it to be fresh with such a name. Good gluten-free options. A small defect in the dessert was neatly resolved. Found the question whether you want to give a tip a bit pushy.

Delicious Italian food, close to the Brandenburg Gate

The gluten free options are pretty pretty good. I ordered pasta carbonara and it may be the best carbonara I have eaten in a while. The waiters were super nice!!

Good food (perhaps some pasta dishes lacked more intensity of flavor), reasonable prices, beautiful premises, very good location and attentive and friendly staff.

At first they were very nice. Soup and pizza were tasty. We wanted another desert but we soon realized that she preferred not to. They were just closing. (It was almost an hour before closing time) We just left. When paying. Would you like to give a 7% tip for Christmas? Well no. It's not even Christmas yet. Would you just like to tip... well, no. He asks why not. I'll tell you about the last part. Well the waiter says you don't have to come back if you don't want to. Well, we don't want that either. It's a shame when chefs do their best and the workers in the kitchen fail.... Just do your job from start to finish and then you don't even have to ask for a tip. Most people will give that on their own.

The food was very delicious, but my mood took a turn for the worse when I noticed how rude the waitress (a slightly older gentleman) was. Despite his grumpy behavior, I gave the gentleman a generous tip. However, he didn't say thank you and simply left the table without saying anything

I found it very inexpensive, especially considering that you are sitting right next to the Brandenburg Gate. I had a really delicious drink with sparkling wine and lavender. What impressed me most was the friendliness of the staff. I was given really good advice on my food choices. There were also some vegetarian and vegan options. I also thought the food was great in terms of price-performance ratio.

This place had good quality, tasty food (and even some low histamine options!), however booking first is definitely recommended because when we went there was a queue out the door to be seated. It's a big place, but even so was very crowded and the service was pretty slow. Lovely place to go if you're not in a hurry. It's worth trying but it's definitely not for people on a tight budget, though the portion sizes were generous and the food was tasty

The food and drinks come very quickly. The staff is extremely friendly and fulfills every wish. I can highly recommend the generally very nice atmosphere, and it's not particularly expensive either!

I was here with a few friends because, among other things, gluten-free food is offered here. Unfortunately, I was rather disappointed with the food. The pizza base was more like a tarte flambée, it was very thin and way too hard. In addition, the pizza turned out to be very greasy, almost as if it had been poured with oil. The prices weren't that great either, but at least that's somewhat predictable given the location.

Unfortunately, despite there being fewer guests, we had to wait an incredibly long time to place an order. One waiter was tapping beer and the other was on his cell phone for an incredibly long time, which was a shame. Location and location really great

Excellent restaurant next to the Brandenderburg Gate. The pizza is delicious, but what I liked most was the desserts. The only thing we didn’t like was that we waited for the food for a very long time and almost missed the train. I advise you to take chocolate fondant for dessert, it is the most delicious here

Absolutely shocking and dangerous experience! What started as a normal restaurant visit ended in a nightmare. I found shards of glass in my pasta - a potentially life-threatening mistake on the kitchen's part. The staff's reaction was completely inappropriate. The waitress did apologize briefly and offered not to charge for the meal, but that wasn't nearly enough given the severity of the incident. In shock, we contacted the medical emergency service and made our way to the hospital. But the height of audacity came when we wanted to leave the restaurant. The waitress actually asked for money for my friend's pizza, even though he of course stopped eating immediately after I discovered the glass. How can you even ask for a cent in such a situation? After four hours in the hospital I was initially released, but the next day I started bleeding internally. Luckily I'm feeling better now, but the health consequences could have been much worse. This restaurant shows a shocking indifference to the safety and health of its guests. I will never set foot in this place again and strongly advise anyone not to eat here. An absolute disgrace and completely irresponsible!

Even when there was little going on, it took a long time until we were served. But the worst thing is that one of the waitresses behaved like he was a gangster. He became very loud towards another waitress and asked him to sort it out at the door. Such behavior is never acceptable but is an absolute no-go in a restaurant! Especially if the behavior is also shown towards the guests and you are 0% polite. No boss intervened, no one kicked him out.

Very tasty and the food is also gluten-free, I would highly recommend a visit.

So, yes, you can go. Service took quite a long time, the food was okay, it should be emphasized that gluten-free alternatives are offered. The spaghetti carbonara is very creamy and is not tolerable in the evening. It felt like it took an eternity until we were assigned the place, then it took another forever until someone came to order, but the food was delivered immediately.

We sat outside at the end of October. I can't say anything about the ambience inside. The food was very, very tasty. I was lucky with spaghetti made from zucchini and my daughter with pasta with tomato cream sauce with shrimp. Although it is located directly at the Brandenburg Gate, it is not a tourist rip-off. Clear recommendation.

Great lunch after a day of sightseeing. We got the margherita pizza and a salad I forgot the exact name. As a vegetarian I liked that there was a planted chikn option. The pizza was thin and baked to perfection. The lemonade was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely return.

A charming restaurant right at the Brandenburg Gate that impresses with good Italian cuisine. The vegetable soup, tomato soup as well as the pasta and pizza tasted very good. However, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and was quite slow, even though the restaurant was at most 20 percent full. Maybe it was due to understaffing that afternoon. There is a small point deduction for this. As of: February 26, 2023 “The difference between prices and food quality in a restaurant increases in direct proportion to the size of the pepper mill at the table.”

I absolutely do not recommend it!!!!!!!! The risotto beautifully and poetically described in the menu turned out to be unseasoned, blurred rice pulp with 2 pieces of thawed pumpkin. Lack of taste, unsightly serving, arrogant and nonchalant waiter who winked at all the ladies in the restaurant! Additionally, the appetizer included in the price of a regular dish turned out to be a piece of mozzarella with tomato (worth about EUR 1.50), a total failure.

Rude behavior of the person who took our order

Fantastic service,we were seated within a few minutes! Very friendly staff, the Tunisian waiter even managed to greet us in Irish !! Great food and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

We walked in at 5:00 PM today for an early dinner after a long day of touring. The restaurant was 10% full. Two employees stood chatting with one another near the open kitchen – prep area and took about three minutes to seat us in the cold, somewhat bare and charmless room. The menus came but no water or any welcome. After 10 minutes of watching one of the servers wipe her nose on her sleeve, and the second server equally ignore us, we left. Skip it. They don't care.

Don’t recommend. I ordered funghi pasta and I was given literally - a plate full of solo pasta with a few chicken pieces and mushrooms. It was a rude move by the restaurant towards us - the clients. What is more, the waiter proposed and then added himself a tip for his service what was another act of fooling the clients in a very cheap way.. Never again.

Went here a few times and the food is always great. We ordered Mozzarella Pizza and Tortelli Al Tartufo both very delicious. Food didn’t take too long to arrive. The staff are so nice and friendly. I also tried before the Fusilli Con Pollo and it was nice. Their other disges are good as well but I forgot the names, but definitely worth the try 👌

The food wasn't good but it wasn't bad either, it just took a long time, even though new people were constantly coming in and had to wait for their table. I gave a 50 cent tip for this poor service, but the waiter rejected it 👍🏻
