The spontaneous visit was during the lunch break totally fine! The pizza and the Caesar salad were very tasty and good value for money. If I get hungry for pizza again right at the Brandenburg Gate, I'll read my own review and come back.

Everything was fine, but a disaster occurred when the waiter entered the tip however he wanted. I was satisfied with the food, service, and atmosphere, but I gave it 1 point because of the behavior of the last employee.

The food was very good and the location is enjoyable. On this occasion, we were grateful for the kindness of a staff member, Miriam, who gave me a couple of tablets for my headache. Her kindness allowed us to have a lovely meal, and enjoy the food and the rest of the day. Thank you so much for your kindness Miriam!

It's not exactly perfect Italian cuisine, but in our opinion the food isn't bad. We had spaghetti Bolognese and ravioli with ricotta and spinach with walnut sauce and a white pizza which I honestly liked because I like thin and crunchy pizzas. Furthermore, the room is large but not noisy. I liked it a lot. The staff is very friendly even if not Italian.

I used to visit this place frequently last year, and it was really nice. However, today I didn't manage to eat there. A very rude waiter snapped at us and was unpleasant, claiming that we 'sat down at a table without asking.' A moment later, he came back and told us to leave because he wouldn't serve us since we had ruined his mood. I was so shocked that I didn't even know how to respond. Has anyone else experienced something like this? What's going on?

Slow service, mediocre food. Nice location.

The ambience inside and outside is very nice. The selection of food is large and there are many special dishes that you don't always get. The food was absolutely delicious. The waiter was very nice and funny and, despite the stress, had everything under control and apologized if it took a little longer. But the food arrived within a few minutes. We will come here again. Another plus point was that there were also dishes with spelled products and vegan and vegetarian dishes (e.g. zoodles, vegan pizza, pizza with wholemeal spelled dough). Each dish could be adapted accordingly for an additional charge.

The waiter with a ponytail was very rude. I've never been spoken to that way by a waiter. I've seen other comments mentioning poor service and would listen to them and eat elsewhere.

THE UNPLEASED ASIAN BOY WAS MAKING US PAY 67 EUROS WITHOUT A RECEIPT BUT IT SEEMED TOO MUCH, IN FACT THE BILL WAS 44 EUROS... IF GOOGLE DELETES THE REVIEW DESPITE THE EVIDENCE OF THE RECEIPT, THIS TIME I WILL SUE THE GIANT. THEY ALSO TRY TO SCAM IN BERLIN

We ordered minestrone, fusilli, spaghetti carbonara and tiramisu. Soup was really good 5/6, spaghetti and fusilli con pollo was great 6/6! Tiramisu 4/6

I dined at Mama twice during my stay in Berlin! I had a spinach ricotta ravioli first and then a funghi risotto. Both were excellent and the well served. The waiters are super friendly and the atmosphere is great! Right beside Brandenburger Tor. The prices are also very good. Highly recommend it!

Toni was our waiter last night, an excellent worker with a lot of commitment and enthusiasm for work. The restaurant was also in an extremely pretty location and harmonized perfectly with the atmosphere of the Brandenburg Gate to the left.

Apart from the fact that the waiters avoid any contact with you, the food is tasty and comes quite quickly, a wide menu and a relatively low price considering the location. It's good considering that there are not very good alternatives to eat something high-quality without spending a fortune.

I have tried better food in Berlin. I only tried a margarita pizza. Other options might be better.

Fantastic Italian restaurant in the heart of Berlin. Literally next to Brandenburg Gate. Good pizza, I had a very surprising combination: Bianca pollo e Funghi. Topper with a fantastic soil. My daughter went for the classic Spaghetti Carbonara. Also delicious. The food was served quickly, including dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive. We also got some nice tips for Berlin. The prices are particularly affordable for the heart of Berlin. A tip is not necessary, and was certainly not requested.

the worst thing I've experienced so far. They cheekily give you a frozen pizza from China in a “restaurant”. Well, "tourist trap" is self-evident, but I was hoping that would affect the prices and not the quality. really a stab in the heart of every restaurateur.. a disgrace for Berlin

We were minding our own buissness not on their property during a group trip explaining where we were with the Second World War and this man starts blasting music and when ever someone complained he become hostile and started blasting the music more. Do not eat from them they are horrible

Me and my girlfriend were there for lunch yesterday and today. We both ordered a pizza that tasted delicious. The service was extremely loving, especially Tuni:)

They tried to sell me the wrong pizza because something went wrong in the service and someone else got mine. After rejection, my pizza was then remade. Of course, my companion's pasta was brought along with the wrong pizza. When my new pizza arrived, my companion had already finished her pasta. The noodles were OK. The pizza (salame piccante) was incredibly greasy. Accordingly, it only tasted like fat. I had to drain the pizza slices before eating. The toilets were also an absolute disaster. The further you went down the stairs, the stronger the smell of urine became. 3 out of 6 urinals were blocked or already overflowing. There are also no towels, only a fan. Ambience outside is ok, depending on what's going on at the Brandenburg Gate.

Went to Berlin as a school class and initially had concerns about possibly high prices. However, it was wrong, despite the close location to the Brandenburg Gate, the restaurant offers nice service, a great ambience and really tasty food, a great opportunity to have a good meal and at a fair price.

The food was very tasty and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. The service was extremely nice and accommodating, especially the waiter Toni was very polite and did his job 100%.

I’m quite disappointed. The cutlery was dirty, carbonara was tasteless with bacon instead of pancetta, overcooked pasta and sweet cream. And also the service wasn’t kind at all.

I recently visited this restaurant with my friends, and it was a complete letdown. The service was slow and inattentive. The pizza lacked flavor, with a bland crust and sparse toppings. To top it off, the beer was served warm. This place is a classic tourist trap. Avoid it if you’re looking for a decent meal and good service.

The food is good and price is fair. I talked to two different servers, unfortunately I don’t remember their name. The girls was pretty helpful and the asian guy was having a bad day, I guess.

We ordered a classic Margherita and a Burrata. Allergens and which dishes are vegetarian and vegan were marked separately on the menu. Both the waiter and the pizza were average. The pizza dough was too dry in our opinion.

Great restaurant directly at the Brandenburg Gate. So if you are there anyway, the restaurant is also a recommendation. Delicious pizzas and there are also great vegan dishes.

Excellent service, Pizza very good Friendly waiters

Everything was actually fine until two of us went really bad about 30-40 minutes after eating and spit like Fontane on the train and in the taxi. One dish with shrimp and another with salmon. The other one was fine and we are glad that none of the children got caught. I called the restaurant and let them know! Hopefully other guests were fine.

Ok Brandenburger Tor I get it, but that was definitely not buffalo mozzarella as advertised and the vitello tonnato disappeared under a salad.

We are very satisfied. The food was very fresh and delicious. The waiter was very attentive and tried hard and the location was more than great. Price & performance is right. :)

Just to preface, I always leave a tip. The odd server/host who sat us down ignored us for most of the dinner, we had to physically approach him when we were ready to order and for the bill. When the bill came, he said service isn’t included in the bill. First off, weird to even say that to a customer to emphasize you want a tip after ignoring us the whole time. Also there’s no tap water here. We spent 7 euros on a glass water bottle… soo mid and honestly I suspect they’re racist considering he had no problem serving all the white people.

By far the worst Caesar salad. The dressing has no taste. For €14 you get a bitter salad with a cherry tomato. The two toasted pieces of baguette are 1mm thick.

Nice café at the Brandenburg Gate with a nice atmosphere and very friendly, euphoric waiters. Delicious ice cream and good lemonade.

Well, I was completely disappointed for the fact that this location is literally on the spot with “icing on the cake”. Since the weather was very summery, we (a good friend and I) took a seat in the pleasant courtyard. Although it was quite empty at around 2.30 p.m. (around 2/3 were free), the staff needed 10 minutes to even acknowledge us and "serve" us the menu and the first order for a large coffee and a tea and receiving a large seltzer without ice without lemon. After another disappointing 15 minutes, my companion got her tea, I got a small, lukewarm coffee, even though I ordered a large one, and a small seltzer with ice, but without lemon. When I asked why it wasn't a large coffee, which I ordered, I was told that they only have one size. I wasn't informed of this when I ordered. The facility itself is on one level and is therefore also suitable for people with disabilities, but you should still be able to walk easily as there is no toilet for this group of people. When I asked, I was directed to the toilets in the lower basement; there were no toilets on the ground floor. I can still walk without walking aids, but stairs are now a challenge. It just took a while because there aren't exactly a few steps. The sanitary facilities have had their years, I expected much better for a restaurant in this location. After I had finally made it back up the long stairs with difficulty, the waiter explained to me that the restaurant was a restaurant and not a warming hall!!! That is not how it works!!! I wasn't prepared for so much "friendliness" and so of course we paid without a tip and left the restaurant without eating. My tip: Just because a place in a city is first class doesn't mean the location has to be too. Recommendation, Berlin has many better ones throughout the city.

Worst pasta aglio e oglio I've ever had. It seemed like they threw bland spaghetti in a layer of grease instead of making one cohesive of the pasta, its enzymes and the spices. The gluten free pasta my friend had, however, was quite good. Still 2 stars because our waiter was very unfriendly, and the prices were too steep for the quality. Also, 5,60 for a lemonade seems unnecessary. If your options are limited and you're looking for something easy or gluten free at such a central locations, it's okay. But overall disappointing to us.

Located close to the Brandenburg Gate with the flair of the old buildings. Quite manageable but inviting restaurant. Staff were very friendly and always up for fun! With bruschetta, “less would have been more.” 2 slices of bread that were too crispy and basically overflowing with tomatoes and onions, so that the bread was no longer visible. The main course (ravioli) was great and quite filling despite the small portion. The tiramisu afterwards was a must. Unfortunately the price is too expensive for the quantity and the ambience you get. So not the full 5 stars, but overall satisfactory for an evening.

We looked for a toilet for so long, then found this restaurant. They were super nice and showed us the toilets straight away. We offered a tip, at first they didn't want to accept it, then they accepted it anyway, but even gave us money back 😊.

Very strange waiters. We asked to leave the cutlery after the starter so that we could use it to eat the main course. The restaurant is empty, there are no people, and the staff does not look out or communicate with the guests. The food is so-so. Vegetables are not ripe and rubbery.

Perfect for pre-theater. Pizza is fine, good salads. Good wines reasonably priced

Clear failure. Very impolite. The colleague inside said he would send a colleague out to us. We took our own menus. When the colleague in question came out, he snatched the cards out of our hands and rudely said the terrace was closed! We then got up in horror and went somewhere else! We definitely need to work on dealing with customers here!
