We went for a weekday lunch for two people. We ordered pizza, pasta, and drinks, and were very satisfied with the food. It cost about 8,000 yen for two people.

I mean yea its a nice place, but thats it. Pizza is way too thin and without many cheese. The price is high but great vibes inside.

They not only place great value on traditional Italian cuisine, but are also open to new eating habits. They offer zucchini spaghetti, whole-wheat options, gluten-free pizza and pasta, lactose-free and spelt alternatives, as well as a selection of vegan dishes.

I don’t really understand the 4.6 rating. There’s nothing special, I cook better at home.

Went here for an anniversary meal, it was a disaster. We booked a table on short notice and it was no problem, which was about as good as our visit got. Food was crap, the garlic bread wasn’t great, the carbonara was poor too, the salami pizza was okay. As for the server, all was ok at the start, then when we ordered the garlic bread, it came out with dips, these were about 4€, we didn’t ask for these as we didn’t like them. I asked could I have these removed and the server proceeded to say “I thought you would’ve wanted them”, then I would’ve asked for them, like in any normal place. It would’ve only been “10€ for the garlic bread” he then said, well that’s great isn’t it, if I asked for it. It was removed on the bill, however it made the experience very awkward and we couldn’t enjoy the meal. As for paying, they don’t show you the bill first, they show you the card machine and put you under pressure for a tip. Then you can see the bill. Would avoid this terrible place

I was looking forward to a short, pleasant visit to Mama – according to the advertising, the service was supposed to do everything to make the visit an experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Around 5 p.m., the restaurant was almost empty, and we simply asked for a table for two cappuccinos. We were shown to our table almost without a word, and the service seemed rather unmotivated. The cappuccino arrived with an apology for a botched sample – no problem. However, a lot of it ended up on the saucer instead of in the cup, and when we asked for a napkin, we were only given a piece of kitchen roll. It's a shame – the price and quality, unfortunately, don't match the appealing image conveyed in the advertising.

Super hungry after wandering Berlin, and the google photos looked appetizing. Ordered the Diavola pizza and Caesar salad. Absolutely tasteless salad and waste of 8€. Pizza was … a Sad pizza experience. Looks great but flavorless! Service was great, but Told the server my honest feedback when he asked. Still brought a bill for 27€. Won’t be back and don’t recommend. Go to L’osteria instead!

Great atmosphere, beautiful location. Especially recommend everyone going at night. However, service was way too slow. The food wasn’t bad, yet the portion size was funnily small. Unbelievable for the price. Overall, not a bad location, but definitely not anything from heaven.

The pizza dough is thinner than a sheet of paper, and the pizza tastes absolutely nothing. I don't recommend it; there are much better ones!

The food looks good, tasted okay-ish! I am giving a 2 star as it was very pricey for the amount of food! AND I had a very upset stomach afterwards 🙁 ( I ate pasta) We had to pay a tip ( shouldn’t it be optional?) and the staff were super busy because of the crowd! It is a great location tho.

Outside, we politely asked an employee if we could use the restroom. We received a friendly reply and a yes. Inside, another employee treated us very rudely. He then charged us €1 for the restroom, and then we encountered disgusting grout lines.

Quite disappointed with this restaurant. Waiters weren't very friendly, food was very expensive for the quality offered. If you're looking for Italian food in Berlin, I'm sure you can find better and cheaper options! The highlight is the minimum tip of 7% of the bill, which can quickly become steep. Ultimately, I recommend you move on.

The spirelli con verdure was unfortunately disappointing. The menu description ("variety of vegetables") is incorrect. The dish essentially consisted of pasta with a little oil, a few broccoli florets, and three sun-dried tomatoes. Overall, it was tasteless and poorly prepared.

This is definitely the best Italian restaurant I've ever known. The Salata del Cesare and the Zuppa de pomodore are excellent and I'd recommend it whole-heartedly.

The food is terrible: the pizza with shrimp is a cracker; the dough is like a crisp, crumbly, the pasta with salmon (actually, the salmon is missing, literally just shreds). The sauce is also terrible; it's fish water and thickened cream. The only saving graces of this place are the location and fresh bread. The rest is a disaster. If I could give a zero, I would, and very few people do, I think I understand why. And the price doesn't match the quality of the food, and they add a 7% tip, which can't be canceled.

A great experience for a simple, quick, and delicious evening meal! Menus in English and German, and very good pizzas! The price is reasonable considering its proximity to a popular attraction!

Terrible experience. A "carbonara" made with Berghain's dishwater and 35kg of pepper. The price of the water was as if it were from the fountain of youth itself. And on top of that, they forced us to leave a tip with no option to complain. Extremely expensive and deplorable. It would make you run out the Brandenburg Gate. The bathrooms were very good.

The food was good, nothing special, the pizza was paper thin. We waited around 5 minutes to be seated. The prices are decent for the location. We did have to wait a bit longer to pay for the food. Not a bad spot, but there are better ones in town for sure.

The biggest rip-off of the entire trip. I'm not giving fewer stars because I can't. 9 of us came for lunch, and the food was terrible. Everyone's pasta was overcooked (very mushy), the pasta sauce was horrible, tasting only of pepper, the salad was very poor, and the bill was very expensive. They compulsorily add a tip when you pay by card. I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We ate at Mama Trattoria and were unfortunately rather disappointed. Initially, we had to wait about 15 minutes, even though there were more than five free tables. These hadn't been cleared yet, but instead of quickly setting the tables, the servers walked by several times, preferring to take new orders. The drinks were tasty, but could have been served more attractively. The food itself was average – the pizza tasted "okay," but nothing more. My boyfriend wanted to order Bolognese, but it was already sold out. Hawaiian pizza, a standard item at many pizzerias, wasn't even on the menu. Overall, we were disappointed with our visit, especially because we waited in line for a long time and our expectations were unfortunately not met. In retrospect, we should have chosen a different restaurant.

We ordered takeaway from a crowded restaurant. The line outside was very long. To pick up our order, we had to skip the line, which caused frustration among some of the people waiting. When we arrived at the counter, the food was already within sight, ready for pickup. Unfortunately, due to the restaurant's overcrowding, no server bothered to take our order. So, I brazenly entered the restaurant and took my paid order from the counter myself. The food was poorly presented, and the pasta was missing the ricotta. Cutting a pizza requires a basic understanding of cutting mechanics, which unfortunately isn't taught here. The mozzarella pizza with basil was flooded with just five leaves of the aforementioned basil.

My spaghetti was good, but rather small for the price. The tiramisu was okay. I'd eat elsewhere next time because of the prices.

Very disappointed with our stay at your establishment. The dishes are okay, but the quantity and quality are very limited regarding the desserts. The obligation to leave a tip of more than 10% is not mentioned. This is the only time this was imposed on us over 5 days. We will not have a good memory of our stay at your establishment.

Torte al cioccolato was delicious and rich. Our table thought that the pastas and pizzas were above average, nothing special. A lot of different dishes on the menu to choose from. Vegan and vegetarian options. The portions were a bit smaller than we expected, given the price. Waiters spoke English and German. It was difficult to get served due to being busy and we had to ask for service a couple of times.

The food tasted great. The location looks beautiful. That's where the positives end. Unfortunately, we got food poisoning. It shouldn't happen, but it can happen. What absolutely shouldn't happen in an establishment like this: Being served by an absolutely conceited and consistently rude waitress. We had the middle-aged Italian (?) who liked to push his way in, unpleasantly chasing his assistants (?) away from our table (unless they cleared the dirty dishes for him). The gentleman quickly became extremely unpleasant, unprofessional, and inhumane. And ultimately, his unprovoked but consistently rude behavior toward our English-speaking guests, whom he condescendingly smiled at and ignored, ruined our visit. When they didn't tip, the gentleman became completely rude and insolent. I regret tipping a minute earlier. So, our takeaway from this restaurant: The behavior here is both unprofessional and unfriendly, something that Berliners can only be ashamed of. Furthermore, English speakers are clearly not welcome here (a shame, given our beautiful landmark). The food is very tasty, but perhaps a bit of a gamble when it comes to your health.

I was given the bill and asked if I wanted to add a tip, I didn't add one and tapped my card. The staff followed up with 'In Germany, we tip', 'This is why people don't serve Indian tables'. I have and do tip on exceptional service and live in the EU. I had to ask him to go away because he wouldn't stop commenting on lack of the tip. Also, the service was NOT exceptional. The staff was also Indian, no idea why he'd assume harassing for tips is a good idea. Decent food nonetheless!

One waiter told us we could go in and look at the backyard, then when we tried going to the backyard another waiter rudely told us to read the sign and wait at the door, when we were told we could look at the backyard?? Pasta was soft and not al dente when it arrived. Shrimp's were small and didn't taste fresh. Waiter kept insisting 'anywhere in the world, they pay when they are happy with the service and you can come again happy.' don't worry, I tip plenty when I am happy with your service. You were rude, unattentive, didn't ask if we were happy with your food. We won't be coming back even if this is the last pasta place in the world ❤️

We were there with our school class and spontaneously got a seat for 20 people. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly, and the food was delicious (and came very quickly too)! All in all, a very pleasant visit!

we ordered three dishes and everything was bad, vegetable soup is just hot watter with undercooked vegetables and tomato soup tastes like passata. Pizza was okay but don’t go here and save the money for eatable food😭

Highly recommended Italian restaurant!! We stopped in a couple of times, taking advantage of the fact that it's right in the center and, given its location, the prices aren't at all inflated, and we loved the experience!! :) The food was delicious with a fairly varied menu and the waiters were super friendly, attentive to everything, and always smiling! 👍🏼

The staff is super friendly and although the restaurant is nearby tourists spots, my family and I enjoyed the food a lot, very delicious! Also, the restaurant is very kid friendly, they provided us paper and pencils to draw, their attention extends to the toilet, where they have an small step stool for kids :)

Recommended! Despite being in the city center, it's not expensive. We ate well and the place is nice. They're also very attentive to the children, giving them coloring pages to keep them entertained.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed here. Even the greeting was unfriendly, without a simple "Hello." We were addressed in English several times, even though the staff clearly spoke German. The apparent supervisor also complained loudly about his staff in front of other guests – very unpleasant. When we asked not to be seated next to a screaming child (for health reasons), we were not allowed to sit at the next available table for four because there were only two of us. Instead of showing understanding, we were summarily sent away. For us, this is absolutely not a place where you feel welcome.

Menu looks good but portions very small for average price of € 14-16 a plate. Pizza is totally pathetic , not the least bit Italian . One salad and one pasta dish w quinoa substitutes plus drinks € 50. Would not recommend.

Lovely spot for lunch. We sat outside in the shade and enjoyed a drink and a late lunch following a walking tour. The staff were friendly and the food and drink were good value for money especially considering the location right near a popular tourist spot.

This is just an average restaurant. I doubt it's a place tourists would stop by. The food doesn't feel particularly special. If you're near a tourist destination and have nowhere else to go, it's not worth going. However, the staff are friendly and responsive, so I recommend it to anyone looking for a quick bite.

We ordered a risotto and pasta, all 100% gluten-free, and it was delicious. It's a shame they didn't have gluten-free pizza available at the time. The restaurant is also very well located, ideal for a good meal without wasting time traveling. Recommended for celiacs.

Probably the worst italian restaurant that I have every been. We get off inside from the heavy rain, and thought how bad it can be, since it has 4.6/5 on google. The waiter was polite and nice, everything else was a disaster. I will share their recipe for carbonara and you will get immediately what I am talking about. Don’t recommend this restaurant, unless you are hiding from the rain or bad weather. Than you can order margherita which was the only thing that they cannot ruin that much

Inedible! My pasta Bolognese was way too salty, but I've never seen anything like it in my life. Water was charged... well... not even bread on the table. We were pressured "there are cameras" because we drank from our water bottle before being served. Lengthy service, unsmiling waiters. No rules of politeness about whether the meal went well or whether we wanted dessert. The obligation to give a tip when nothing was up to scratch is very annoying. Really avoid it; the setting isn't even that nice.

The food is edible, and the prices are reasonable given the location. What's incomprehensible is the exorbitant price of bottled water (it costs twice as much as beer or any other sugary drink) and the fact that they refuse you tap water if you ask for it (in other Berlin restaurants, the waiter himself offers it to you for free).

Good unpretentious restaurant, pizzas with a base that was more reminiscent of a flamkuche, I don't know if it was intentional, but I enjoyed it, a good tiramisu for dessert, pleasant welcome, simple and refined decor, reasonable price for this place with a view of the Brandenburg Gate

We ate at Mama Trattoria over the weekend. I've had better. The pizza was incredibly thin, and the carbonara was also terrible. A family wanted something to eat at 9 p.m. and was turned away (the kitchen was already closed). Such nonsense. Their website says the kitchen closes at 10 p.m. Not recommended.

We had a nice meal with a decent atmosphere, though the lighting wasn't great. Unfortunately, the waiter had to beg for a tip at the end.
