Solo restaurante en efectivo, no tuvimos ningún recibo, la comida era solo promedio, no es lo mismo que en las fotos, el menú estaba muy gastado y la servis sin ninguna emoción

Nos sobrecargaron significativamente, con artículos aleatorios agregados a nuestra factura que nunca pedimos. " Esto no fue un error menor – se sintió deliberado, como si estuvieran tratando de exprimirnos dinero extra esperando que no nos diéramos cuenta. Aléjate de este restaurante. Lo que están haciendo raya en el robo.

Como viajeros del mundo, disfrutamos de sabores de todas partes, por lo que amigos en California dijeron que mamá cocinera en Berlín es una necesidad! ¡SÍ! Fue una excelente y deliciosa elección. La ubicación es engañosa, pero entra en un entorno acogedor e íntimo. Nuestros rollos de primavera eran ligeros y perfectos. Mi Udon con una infusión tailandesa era abundante y lleno de sabor; maravillosos fideos, hierbas, pollo y camarones. Las especias estaban absolutamente deliciosas. ¡Los fideos de arroz con carne de res de mi marido también estaban perfectamente preparados hasta la última gota! Los servidores eran profesionales, un placer charlar con ellos y nos gustó su comida, sin duda TE ENCANTARÁ AQUÍ! Todo el mundo a nuestro alrededor estaba disfrutando de su comida mientras el ambiente estaba lleno de sonidos felices. ¡BRAVO! Como un cambio de ritmo (ya que he tenido más de mi parte de los espectaculares espárragos blancos, etc) era hora de cambiar los sabores y chico nuestros amigos de vuelta a casa tenían razón! No es de extrañar que nunca hayan olvidado su antiguo lugar de reunión. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Este lugar es una verdadera joya. Tuvimos suerte de conseguir una mesa porque realmente se puso ocupado cuando nos íbamos alrededor de las 7. 30 . Tuvimos entrantes y principales y la comida waa fabuloso realmente de primera categoría y era una buena relación calidad-precio y a pocos pasos de nuestro hotel. Una visita obligada en Berlín

We discovered Mama Cool by chance and were there at lunchtime and ordered from the lunch menu. The food was incredibly delicious. Had fried chicken with rice and vegetables and salmon with rice and vegetables. The lady was very friendly and competent. We hadn't eaten something so delicious for a long time. We're from Cologne, but when we're back in Berlin, we'll definitely be back with Mama Cook. Thank you for great food. Price performance is right 👏

I was there for the first time today. I haven't had the chance to enjoy the food yet, but it's packed. The food smells great and the menu is clear. This means that emphasis is placed on the dishes. Not quantity, but quality. The people who work here are very friendly. I can only recommend it.

Var så heldige at få plads, selvom vi ikke havde reserveret. Fik and med nudler og grøntsager i karrysauce. Virkelig lækkert og velsmagende.

Location and food itself was good, but the waiter was very unfriendly and annoyed. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and hasn't eaten meat for 4 years. She ordered something with tofu and her food was brought to the table incorrectly and so she accidentally ate chicken. That's not possible, you really have to pay attention to it.

Despite the full house, the waiting time was extremely long. Worse still: the vegetarian dish we ordered was served incorrectly - with meat. Unfortunately, the affected person only noticed it while eating. The staff was very inattentive and very unfriendly. We didn't feel comfortable in the restaurant. Very disappointing.

Very normal food. We had to ask for our mineral water to be changed because it was open. They do not accept Visa or Mastercard cards.

Wonderful place to eat in Berlin. Super value (top quality generous portions for €10-13) and lots of vegetarian options. Service was very good. I'd recommend booking in advance as it was packed - even on a Monday evening.

Very very nice food and nice staff when they spoke to you. But it was almost impossible to actually get any food or drinks as the staff did their best to avoid you. This may be because we are annoying British people and everyone hates us abroad!

Such a beautiful, cute place. For me it's the cherry tree decorations. The food was really nice, I didn't care for the wan tans though. The pho was great, as well as the mango salad, which I loved.

I went to this restaurant today to get something to eat and sat down at a table for four – like all the other guests. But the waitress came over and said the table was "too big" for two people. For no apparent reason, she directed me to the smallest available table and insisted I sit there. When I tried to text my companion to ask if we even wanted to stay under these circumstances, she came back to me and said in an unfriendly tone: "Do you want the table now, or should I pass?" Such disrespectful and rude treatment of guests is completely out of place in the restaurant industry. I left the restaurant afterward and cannot recommend it to anyone. The friendliness and service here urgently need to be reconsidered.

The place was totally crowded, you need a reservation for dinner. We ended up ordering takeout and the food was amazing (curry with chicken). And not expensive.

The food was delicious but it was cold when it arrived so I needed to ask to heat it. The service was awful. We didn't feel welcome at all and they were disrespectful.

I love the old tiles. It reminds me of a butcher shop from days gone by. The food is delicious. I love eating several appetizers. My friends confirm that the main courses are also good and delicious. It's cozy and lovingly decorated. I really enjoy eating at Mama Cook, also because the food is prepared without MSG. The staff are very friendly and unpretentious. Unpretentious for Friedrichshain, wonderful. See you again soon.

It was very busy on a Saturday at 7:30 p.m., which made it quite loud. But the staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious.

A highly recommended location. Ms. Le was very friendly and the food was very tasty, beautifully presented and, in my opinion, reasonably priced compared to similar restaurants these days. We particularly recommend the grilled salmon and the coconut pudding. The homemade lemonades are also delicious. The restaurant is really beautifully designed and it is very comfortable to sit there. What I also think is important is that the music matched the ambience. It wasn't too loud, but pleasant, so you could have a good conversation. We had to wait a while for our food, but when the house is full, I think that's completely normal and people also like to wait for good food. Otherwise you should go to a fast food restaurant ;-)

The soups as starters were absolutely delicious (Tom Kha Gai, Tom Yam). Unfortunately, the main courses didn't convince us and were mediocre at best. It's a shame, we had hoped for more based on the good reviews, but unfortunately we don't share them at all. There are significantly better Asian/Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin.

I've eaten there so many times and asked for a knife (to cut the chicken breast, the pieces were big). Answer! It will take a long time! We don't have any clean cutlery at the moment!!! I was over 45 there, the dams didn't come back to us, of course I didn't get a knife (the woman sat down and ate some soup!) Service 0 !!!!!!!plus (which we saw later) they charged my girlfriend for a cocktail!!! What they don't!!! Passed and didn't drink!! Please pay attention! This is fraud!! We'll never come back!!!! Our friends too!!!

I wouldn't repeat it. The ambience was quite nice. But it was also very narrow and loud. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, our fried noodles were more like normal spaghetti and the meat was also poorly seasoned.

The atmosphere was disappointing: despite a prior reservation, no table was prepared and the waitress seemed stressed and unmotivated. The cutlery was carelessly thrown onto the table. The beef was tough and completely unseasoned. Additionally, the wrong dish was served and instead of correcting the mistake, the waitress argued with us and blamed me for it. Overall a very disappointing experience.

The beef plate was overall tasty and large. However, since the beef was undercooked, cut into large pieces, and had a lot of fat, chewing it became an impossible task. Great terrace with relaxing instrumental music and floral decorations.

They don't accept cards unless you're German, so when it came time to pay the cash I had was fair and I couldn't leave a tip and pay 20 cents in 5-2 cent coins, the waiter gave me a bad look and started complaining.... Great food, problematic staff. The food was very tasty and the price was reasonable for the portion, except for the water - I had the most expensive tap water of my life (3,90 euros). We had made a reservation but they didn’t seem to care. One member of the staff (a young boy) was extremely rude and annoyed by the fact we paid by cash and there were a couple of cents missing - which had been immediately corrected. Very loud crowd and we were seated with random people due to the way the restaurant is setup - so not exactly screaming tipping…

We had reserved a table for today, but when we arrived we were initially ignored. We tried several times to get the staff's attention until someone finally took care of us. When we finally got a table, it was hastily pushed together from several smaller tables. However, the whole thing was completely unsuitable for our group of nine people, as there was actually only space for six people. There was also a large pillar in the way, making it very cramped and uncomfortable. The service also left a lot to be desired. The waitress seemed listless and was even unfriendly at times. Things became particularly unpleasant when we asked for a small change to our order: instead of pasta, we wanted rice because we have gluten intolerance. We were assured that the noodles would be served separately and the dish came with rice. However, when the food was served, it was all noodles. When we pointed this out, we were not only treated unkindly, but were also told that we hadn't ordered it that way. After some back and forth, we finally got the food we wanted, but the situation was already so unpleasant that we no longer felt comfortable. In addition, the portions are very small for the price. The beef was tough and tasteless which made the overall meal disappointing. All in all, our visit here was unfortunately very unpleasant - neither the service nor the quality of the food were convincing. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Arrival: We made a reservation, but our table didn't have enough seats. Food: I ordered a meat dish with garlic and chili. It was almost unseasoned and unfortunately tough. Service: Young staff attentive. Unfortunately, the other lady was responsible for us and was very unfriendly and rude. We were also once served the wrong dish and debated whether it was the right one or not. Ambiance: Small, fine and clean. Background noise relatively loud.

We discover this nice restaurant while driving by and searched immediately for a parking slot. What a disappointment to see at the doors that cash or EC cards only! No choice but to leave. Guys, this is the year 2025 and you still don‘t accept credit cards? I have neither since years. Just amazingly out of time. Guys, fix it zhe stone age is gone!

Tom Kha is really good, tofu and chicken not really

The prices are of course tempting, but unfortunately the food is of a rather low standard. Loveless standard, without setting any accent, and overall too spicy. The ambience is delightful, but to describe the service as unfriendly would be flattering. Not really worth recommending.

Food was superb they have food for everyone and their mum. Can cater to all!!! Strongly recommend the summer rolls, crispy duck with noodles and the vegan bowl for vegetarians. We did have to wait a while for food and drinks but it was busy. Cash only. We spent on average 20 euros on average per person (this is including a glass of wine, shared side and a meal).

Bad food meets bad service. We ordered and waited forever. When we asked, we had the impression that they had forgotten about us. There was no apology, no nothing. After waiting again, the food finally came. I asked to pay straight away because we had an appointment. Of course the bill didn't come straight away. We had to ask a total of 3 times and then had to rush off straight away to make our appointment. And the food just wasn't good. Unfortunately, I can only advise against eating here and I don't understand at all how an overall rating of 4.6 comes about.

We came on a Saturday night, didn't need to book but was very busy. Starters- chicken satay and spring rolls, delicious Mains- Pho with chicken. Really tasty and great for the cold weather. As mentioned on other reviews there is a sign up saying cash only- smile, look the owner in the eye and get your card out. You will be fine if you can handle passive aggression.

Sicuramente il parere viene da una persona che non ama la cucina vietnamita però trovo sia oggettivo il fatto che non si riesca bene a capire cosa ordinare. Ti arriva un piatto con il doppio degli ingredienti che hai ordinato. Alcune cose hanno anche un buon sapore ma vengono "rovinate" secondo me da altre pietanze che hanno poco a che fare con quel piatto.

Food: it was okay, but the portion was a bit too small for me as a slim lady and the baked chicken strips didn't have much taste and they were unsalted. When I go out to eat, I want to be full and not have to cook again at home

Worst behavior possible. Owner and waitress didn't even say a "hello" , grumpy faces to customers, insulted a lady with a baby and offered a table in front of the cashier and cuisine, while they had others. They didn't bother replying in English to our questions. They only take cash or German credit cards. Simply left and went to another restaurant.

I'm not a fan of Asian cuisine, but in this restaurant everyone will find something for themselves, even those who don't like this type of cuisine. My husband is a fan and was delighted. The service was great, the atmosphere too. And the prices are very affordable. I heartily recommend it.

Food was lovely however the service was terrible. The elderly lady serving us insisted we paid in cash, yet let any German people pay with card. She also let American tourists beside us pay with card but not us? She threw the menus on the table and overall had a very bad attitude. Felt very uncomfortable during the meal.

I made a reservation at a restaurant near my hotel and went there. The elderly female staff member serving was incredibly rude and unfriendly. She ruined my mood before I even started eating. The food was average, and the service was poor. They only accept cash or German credit cards.

I can't recommend it. It's a Turi trap. The food was really just average (had the more expensive one from the menu: steak on the hot plate and rice). For almost €17 I expect it to be more than just dry rice and unsalted steak, which also tastes inferior in quality. I also had the feeling that the service was not only overwhelmed but also didn't feel like serving in a friendly manner. We had different dishes, all of which either had no salt or tasted bland. When paying, the waitress wanted me to leave a tip and I usually do that, but in this case I found it not only cheeky but also inappropriate to insist on it. Therefore: never more mama cook but thank God there are enough Vietnamese restaurants where you get much better food than there.
