MA'LOA Poké Bowl in Wiesbaden

I always enjoy going there. The service is very friendly and patient, the bowls are fresh and delicious. Now in winter, they offer curries and soups. I had the mango chicken curry, which I highly recommend. Otherwise, I'm a peanut lover chicken bowl fan. 🥜 A place to unwind and relax 👍🏼😎

I simply love Maloa bowls. My favorite is the Molokai Salomon Bowl. But I'm always open to trying new things, and I get great advice when I'm a bit overwhelmed by the decision. 👍🏻 Always worth a visit. Winter ❄️ as well as summer. ☀️

Super friendly staff. The food was incredibly delicious and tasted very fresh. It was my first time in Wiesbaden and I can recommend it to everyone. The manager is lovely 🥰

The bowls were delicious, but I had the one with raw salmon and it gave me diarrhea and a stomach ache… so I definitely don't recommend the raw fish there.

I like the bowls. They're very varied, delicious, and the portions are really large (they could even be smaller, as far as I'm concerned). The service was always friendly. So I can't understand the negative reviews.

I just ordered two beetroot falafel bowls and a dragon fruit smoothie. I've never eaten anything so disgusting, and I paid so much money for it! There was a whole onion in the bowl, sliced into rings! I can't stand that at all, and unfortunately I had to stop eating after a few forkfuls. The taste was sweet and spicy, just like raw onion. Then I hoped that at least the smoothie would remove the onion flavor, but it only tasted like coconut milk :( Now I feel like I had to eat a raw onion and only had coconut milk to wash it down. It was pure torture. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

Very tasty, absolutely recommended. The only downside is that you can only pay by card.

Of course, we're familiar with the concept of so-called poke bowls, but not from MA'LOA. Fortunately, I arrived at a quiet time, so it wasn't a problem to prepare six bowls to go on short notice. There was a bit of a wait, but that's understandable and acceptable if you don't pre-order. The two employees were super nice and took everything in and put it together flawlessly. The ambiance is small but nice and fits the theme. However, there doesn't seem to be a customer restroom 🤔 At least, I couldn't see any indication of one when I was there. The quality of the bowls was satisfactory both in terms of taste and total quantity, and each one was very filling. We can recommend all of the variations we ordered: - Molokai Salmon - Beetroot Falafel - Moana Tempura - Maui Tuna - O'Ahu Salmon Bowl - Truffle'Loa Chicken Our order was carefully packaged, and additional sauces were added on top. The visual appearance, of course, wasn't as good as it would be when eaten in-house. Unfortunately, the fried shrimp in the tempura bowl were no longer crispy, but that's due to the fact that they had softened in the sauce during transport. This can probably only be avoided with to-go dishes by using wider bowls or by serving the fried protein sources separately. This could potentially be an incentive for future takeout orders. The price is a bit steep, so I would have preferred a slightly larger portion, especially of the main ingredients. We still don't rule out another visit, but then probably on site 🙏🏼

I can't agree more with Musti's review. Always delicious and varied. The products are prepared fresh daily and bought fresh several times a week. You can feel the love for their food. The service is always very friendly and helpful. :) And if I personally go out to eat somewhere and something seems odd, I go straight to the staff and don't wait until I get home to blame the restaurant. ;)

Really bad. We ordered two bowls for delivery. The sauces were mixed up, the flamed salmon was basically indistinguishable from the raw salmon—maybe it was made incorrectly, the avocado was rock hard and flavorless... I wouldn't order again.

Very tasty, fresh and plentiful, and very digestible. I had fresh salmon with beans, beets, cucumber, nuts, spinach, and many other delicacies. It was truly delicious, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Maloa used to be one of my favorite places for a poke bowl – fresh, delicious, just right. Unfortunately, that's completely changed. Today, after a long time, we wanted to eat a bowl again and were shocked: The spoons were so dirty that we were forced to eat with chopsticks. The bowl itself had a strange taste; something in it tingled on our tongues and seemed spoiled. We couldn't finish it. Only later did I read reviews that even mentioned a case of food poisoning two weeks ago. It's a shame, because Maloa was once really good, but you can't serve food to guests like that.

At first everything looked great - stylish shop, nice employees, and the bowl looked really tasty. The taste was okay too... but then came the horror. It started shortly after eating: severe stomach pain, diarrhea and a slight fever. The drive home was hell - I had to pull myself together just to get home on time. I've rarely experienced something like that. I have no idea what was in the bowl, but my stomach completely rebelled. Sorry, but I'll never eat there again. That's it for me

Rating for MA OLA BOWL Wiesbaden I regularly order from different providers and therefore have many comparison options. Unfortunately, MA OLA BOWL Wiesbaden disappointed me. The quality of the food is average at best - the bowls are okay, but not particularly outstanding. For the price quoted, I have received significantly better quality from the competition. The “Bao Your Style” campaign deserves particular negative attention. According to the photo and description, you would expect a typical bao bun - but what I received was a simple, inferior hot dog bun with poor filling. Unfortunately, this seems like a deception and is, in my opinion, unacceptable. I try to write reviews fairly and objectively, but in this case I have rarely been so dissatisfied. I would rate the bowl a maximum of 6 out of 10 – unfortunately overall a disappointing experience. I cannot recommend MA OLA BOWL Wiesbaden and will not order there again. There are definitely better alternatives in the area - both in terms of taste and price.

It was my first time at ma'loa and I was immediately greeted in a friendly manner. The reference to the menu offer (bowl + drink for €14.50) was great. The selection of bowls is quite large - whether pre-made creations or individually put together. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are absolutely sufficient and the price is fair. There is also seating inside and outside - a good alternative for a healthy lunch/dinner.

Bowls only taste like edamame. Hardly any fish, rice is too hard and salad tastes old.

The one in the picture was supposed to be a “Bao Bun”, but it was a dry €0.70 hot dog bun for €12… The toppings were delicious, but you can't go wrong. Service was dismissive and very slow 🐌

Finally a bowl with ahi tuna 🤩 It was very tasty and in the normal price range under €15 Always happy 👍

Super delicious bowls, with fish, meat, vegetarian or vegan options. You can choose a bowl from the menu or put together your own. I can highly recommend the Vol’Cano sauce, a bit spicy but tastes great.

Really disappointed with our order. Moana Tempura Shrimp Bowl did not include tempura shrimp (even though it’s in the name!), no sliced avocade, no cashews…didn’t match the description or photos AT ALL. We won’t be ordering here again.

The service was terrible! They told me they had run out of rice and that I needed to wait for a fresh batch. Once the rice was ready, they started serving new customers and completely forgot about me, even though I had already been waiting for half an hour. The poke was low quality—the sauce lacked flavor, the rice was undercooked, and the fish wasn’t fresh. On top of that, I could taste residue from an unclean container where the fish had been stored.

It's a shame, it used to be really good and worth 5 stars. But since the portion is only half as big as it was back then, there are only half the stars. - 1 star because the drinks were totally warm - 1 star because the internet says opening times until 8 p.m. and it simply closes at 6 p.m. I won't come to dinner anymore.

Delicious and fresh ingredients, and a very friendly saleswoman who explained every step. That was good because I didn't know how it worked. The shop is also nicely decorated.

The food itself is quite good. But I think it's really overpriced when you consider that the products probably all come pre-cut into the containers and then you just mix everything together.

The location itself is nothing special, but it is clean and tidy. The service is very solid. The portion itself is very large, and most of the ingredients tasted very good to me. The kimchi was particularly worthwhile. Unfortunately, vegan chicken is not recommended at all.

We stopped to eat at this place because we know the restaurant chain. The place is new and very nice. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. We created our own poke and it tasted really good. We were satisfied.

We wanted to sit down at Maloa last night to eat a bowl. AFTER ordering etc. we were told by the employee that they would be closing soon and that she was now clearing the tables. Why don't you say something like that beforehand? I had a lot of luggage with me and then had to watch where I ate the food I ordered. In addition, the service was so slow that even if you had come earlier you would have to eat after closing time. The bowl itself was quite good. Unfortunately there are no toilets either.

The employees and the boss are great, incredibly nice and polite and you can't complain about the food either. Large portions that definitely fill you up and there is something for everyone 😁

An acai bowl that left us speechless. *seasonally changing toppings, does that mean walnuts and coconut flakes? Why does the photo on the menu suggest otherwise? More like acai soup. And €8.90 for that? Never again …

Unfortunately, our visit as a group of three was a bit disappointing. We had ordered various standard bowls and all of them were very small and several mistakes were made when putting the bowls together. We were used to it differently and were a bit disappointed. A specific example was the incorrect addition of a sauce to a bowl. When it was pointed out that the sauce was wrong, the other, correct sauce was simply poured into the bowl - without asking if that was ok. As a result, the dish ended up not really tasty because it was dripping with sauce and different flavors. Maloa is simply too expensive for that. I hope there will be improvements here.

I used to be a big fan of Maloa Bowl in Wiesbaden, but unfortunately the quality has deteriorated drastically since the change of ownership. The bowls used to be always fresh, tasty and worth the money. But on my last visit I was very disappointed. For 8.90 euros I got a bowl that was neither well presented nor tasty. The portion was small and the ingredients didn't seem fresh. It's really a shame to see how much the store has deteriorated. I definitely won't come back and can't recommend Maloa Bowl in this form.

Very tasty bowls with different choices. The grilled chicken was super tender and the peanut sauce was delicious. Nice service.

The bowl was okay, but the sushi rice was clumpy and hard. Unfortunately that ruined the taste. It was also far too expensive for that. It's a shame ☹️

So the food is delicious but the employee is so slow and me and my wife had to tell him what was going into the bowl. It took a very long time for the bowls to be ready. I think with the prices the concept has to be right and it has to be faster. I had a bowl of chicken and there was very little chicken. The portions can also be a bit larger given the price range. As an example here it is very tasty compleatfood in Heidelberg.

Update: It's gone...closed. The store is looking for new tenants. A pity. 03/2024) Food is freshly prepared according to your wishes, staff explains well and also gives advice. Ambiance isn't really my thing, but it's clean and tidy.

You can no longer take a seat half an hour before the restaurant closes. Chairs were already upstairs. Sorry, there were five of us. These are things I don't understand. Not in the mood or not necessary? Well then 5 people just go eat and drink somewhere else.

Absolutes Muss! Super gesunde und leckere Bowls. Preis Leistung super. Hier kann man sich seine eigene Bowl zusammenstellen. Viele Zutaten und Saucen. Es schmeckt unglaublich gut. Das Team ist sehr nett und freundlich. Man kann schön drinnen oder draußen sitzen. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass es keine Toilette gibt.

My friends and I ordered food through Lieferando. The food never arrived! When we called after an hour, the restaurant was already closed and no one picked up. Uncool :/ We were hungry and also stressed about time

We just wanted to order via Lieferando, and then Lieferando switched off the ordering process. I called the store and had a super nice man on the phone who immediately offered us a solution. Mega lecker, waren spontan Sonntag Nachmittag drin. Zentral direkt in der Fußgängerzone. Sehr nette Bedienung die die bowls zubereitet. Preis Leistung ist ok , frische Zutaten. man wird sehr gut satt von einer Bowl ;)

Alles wunderbar! Tolles Essen, schönes Design, nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Die Portionen sind mir persönlich zu groß und der Preis etwas zu hoch angesetzt. Wenn die Bowl kleiner und dafür etwas günstiger wären, würde ich wesentlich häufiger kommen.

Ich bin im Urlaub extra eine Stunde nach Wiesbaden gefahren nur weil ich Lust auf eine Bowl hatte, allein das sagt schon vieles. Super frisch, gesund und total viele verschiedene Geschmäcker/Komponenten in einer Schüssel. Wer Sushi mag, wird die bowls lieben. Einfach selbst zusammen stellen und Schmackofatz. Die Portionen sind so groß das ich mittags und abends nochmal davon essen kann.

Eine Geschmacksexplosion! Sehr freundliche, geduldige Bedienung wenn man als Ersttäter mit der Zusammenstellung der Bowl überfordert ist. Unsere erste Bowl war einfach der Hammer, Zucchininudeln, Spinat, Edame, Thunfisch, Mango, Frühlingszwiebeln, Sojasauce mit Limette, Koriander, Ingwer... Mega! Die Aromen tanzen nur so im Mund. Nur zu empfehlen.
