It's just perfect. The taste is unique, as is the idea itself. Staff extremely nice and helpful. With good help, even a three-year-old would be able to cope. Finally, all I have to say is that it was a wonderful experience.

When I was eating there with a friend today, we ordered meat and rice, after a long wait of about 30 minutes a man came and said there was no rice :(( There are fries and if you want rice, it takes a while to wait. We said okay. After 5 minutes a plate arrives with meat that was still raw and rice that wasn't fully cooked, very dry so cooked quickly. Disrespectful employees who just gossip... I don't recommend anything like that......

My go-to spot in Reutlingen. It tastes fresh, is individually tailored to my taste, and is filling. They just go a little overboard with the ingredients ;)

Yesterday I randomly looked for a ramen restaurant near us. We decided to try Malahot, even though it wasn't one, but similar and we weren't disappointed. Fresh food, good selection of ingredients, small but very busy restaurant. Super friendly waitresses and owners. Price performance is right! We'll be back, no question!

Absolutely recommended, very tasty and finally some variety in Reutlingen! The owners and employees are all very friendly. Cash and card payments are possible. Payment is based on weight. You choose your soup contents from various ingredients (vegetables, meat, tofu, noodles, etc.) and put everything in a bowl. You then choose a broth and the soup is prepared for you. We love!

A lot of ingredients, though I missed the regular fish and beef balls, and soup base was delicious - I chose the Mala Hot one in the spiciest version. Inside it was a bit tight, I felt like there were too many tables for the available space.

I think Reutling is the best Asian restaurant in town. There are so many different ingredients for malatang, and there are so many meat internal organs, but they are fresh and cleanly maintained without any smell, so I really enjoyed it!! The female owner was also very kind :) I am satisfied!! I will be a regular!!

I've been there a few times now and I love it. The restaurant is a bit smaller and looks pretty inconspicuous from the outside. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy and lovingly furnished. The service is very friendly, helpful and happy to give tips if you feel a bit lost on your first visit. To begin with, you put together the contents of your pot from a large selection of fresh ingredients, including many authentic specialties that are hard to find in Germany. You then hand the bowl over to the checkout to weigh and pay while you choose one of the delicious and authentic broths and then receive a pager that informs you when your food is ready. Finally, you can refine your meal with toppings, spices, etc. at your own discretion. Billing is based on weight, which of course means that an average price per 100g has been determined for all ingredients. If you only put heavy ingredients like meat in the bowl, the whole thing will of course justifiably be more expensive, but in the end it doesn't taste any better and isn't any more filling. I recommend a balanced mix, not only out of love for your wallet, but also out of love for your health, your body + soul and out of love for the environment. I recommend 1 to a maximum of 2 portions of pasta (no “normal” person can manage more and otherwise the whole thing will turn into a pasta salad rather than a delicious pot of broth), delicious fresh vegetables, a few mushrooms, roots and specialties for a distinctive and authentic meal Taste, and finally some fish, seafood, meat or vegan alternatives of your choice and it's perfect. (If you don't know what goes well with each other, then don't be afraid to ask the staff, they know everything and will be happy to help you. Even if you've overdone the chilli or something doesn't suit your taste, then they try to help you) This means you can easily get even a 120kg bouncer like me satisfied for around €15 to €20 more. Of course it's more expensive from the kebab or currywurst fries around the corner, but you get a rich and wholesome meal in a restaurant. And if I eat a full meal of this quality in another restaurant, then I won't end up on the shelf for less than €20 or more like €30 per person. I can only recommend the store. Quality, authenticity and price/performance are top ✌️💕✌️

My fiancé showed me the restaurant and we loved it. I personally think the concept of being able to put together your ingredients however you like is great. I don't know of any other restaurant where this is possible. It was very tasty and we also really enjoyed the broken bones. The ingredients are all fresh and delicious. Of course, it is advisable to listen to the tips not to pack too much pasta and only meat, but also a colorful mix of vegetables and other ingredients. The price per 100g is well calculated, as you can also include handmade Chinese specialties, which are usually quite expensive. We paid a total of €50 for two full bowls and drinks, which is a good price for a meal in a restaurant. We would love to come back!

Anyone who loves Malatang / Malahot must definitely have been here. It simply tastes incredibly good and the selection of ingredients is second to none. There are also lots of authentic and funky ingredients. I've been here dozens of times now and will always come back here. The owners are super friendly too. Absolutely great

Mega delicious soups with fresh, authentic and partly homemade ingredients! Definitely coming more often now! A suggestion might be to separate the vegetarian ingredients a little better from those containing meat/fish.

Very tasty food. I've been there three times and will continue to go. The broths taste absolutely delicious, and there are also two vegan broths! I also like that you can customize your soup depending on your taste. The service is also really friendly!

Very tasty and authentic, but expensive

Food was good, but it made me think, what are the prices for the food? I actually went there blindly, but the giant bowls for putting together the ingredients made me suspicious. I have to admit the ingredient bowl was 1/3 full with all sorts of things. I would have estimated between 500-700g. But I have to say I didn't really get full. I ended up paying just under €30 for this bowl. What got me thinking is whether the bowl weight is deducted? Food was really good, there's nothing to complain about, just the price/performance ratio isn't right in my opinion.

The food was super tasty but also very expensive in comparison. Atmosphere is okay, but the restaurant is a bit cramped and usually very full. I'll be back because the food impressed me.

Since it is self-service, the service is difficult to judge. The service is really friendly and the soups are made quickly. Questions are welcome at any time. There is a slight deduction in the ambience because I don't have enough space in the self-service area. When you get the soup, you can get your toppings and there is only enough space for one person while the others bump right into you. We didn't find the bowls, soy sauce, etc. at first, but when we asked, they were in a drawer. Perhaps this area can still be optimized. All in all a delicious experience!

Very tasty spicy soups. A good alternative to Mala Tang in Stuttgart. The selection of ingredients is extensive.

Something completely different for the European palate. Here you can put all the ingredients together in a bowl, then choose the soup and after a short time the dish is ready. I've had some Asians tell me it's totally authentic. Be careful with the spiciness! Even the first stage was too much for me as someone who loves spicy food. When the weather is good it's nice to sit outside, but there are plenty of seats inside too. The location is great.

Service: The service immediately noticed that me and my companion were there for the first time and the ordering concept was still foreign to us. Was mich erst abgeschreckt hat: Die Kunden nehmen sich aus der Schütte die Zutaten in den bereitgestellten Container. Inwieweit hier die Hygiene von jedem Kunden eingehalten wird, kann ich nicht abschätzen. Manche legen auch Dinge leider wieder in die Schütte zurück, nachdem es schon im Container war. Am Ende geht dann die Selektion zum Koch, wird mit einer Brühe meiner Wahl ergänzt und dann als wirklich sehr leckere Suppe bereitgestellt. Der Gedanke einer individuellen Zusammenstellung lässt sich wohl nicht ohne die Kunden-Hand lösen. Das ist das einzige, was mir negativ aufgefallen ist. Geschmacklich ausgezeichnet. .

Went there for soup this evening. Because of the many good reviews, I had to see for myself. The restaurant was very well attended. Nevertheless, the ingredients were put together very quickly and we didn't have to wait long for the beeper to vibrate. The soups were hot and of very good quality. Fresh ingredients in the fridge. When it comes to hot pot soup, you should be aware that “hot” also means spicy. I like the spiciness. It was wonderfully coordinated with the ingredients. I look forward to my next visit to Mala Hot.

The Mala Hot broth was really tasty. I can usually tolerate a fair bit of spice and I was happy with medium-heat (you can always add chilli oil after). Good selection of ingredients. Wish there was a broader drinks selection. My meal came to about €12 and was really filling (don't take more than 1 portion of noodles unless you're really really hungry, it amounts to more than you expect).

There are many varieties to choose from, including tripe, vegetarian duck, and beef in sauce. There’s also chicken feet. The average price per person is around 20. I’ll still eat it. Come again

Is a great place for Chinese food mala tong. Better than the ones in Beijing. Authentic stuff. Ok, I think tomorrow during the week I will call the office or tomorrow the bank with work documents and on Friday evening or tomorrow the office and at work and at work. And you wonder how I could possibly think of you that you deny me that I could only change the time of my flight and my first-day hotel was booked for a week by the two of the many years away.

My personal experience wasn't that good, even though I enjoy eating Chinese dishes often. First of all, the positive aspects: The atmosphere and furnishings are good and the staff is also friendly. The food, however, left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. The broth somehow just tasted salty and definitely lacked umami. However, I thought the meat was the worst because it was tough and tasted strange. Even though I tried both the fried chicken and the braised beef as well as the marinated beef. I also found the food overpriced, which meant my visit here turned out to be below average. Ultimately, after a few spoonfuls, I left the food back at the counter and left hungry and disappointed.

Unique experiences, I recommend not putting too much in the bowl otherwise it will just be too much. If you want to use the Malla Hot broth, I recommend using the first level of spiciness and not saying “a little spicy” because that is level two and almost too spicy. I'd love to come back when I'm in the corner.

Absolute favorite restaurant! You can put together your own soup, which I personally think is very good. Everything is very fresh and hygienic. There are also vegan/vegetarian alternatives. The owners are very friendly. It is usually very busy in the evenings but you can also make reservations. My husband and I eat here very often and both have only positive things to say. The only thing I can say about the reviews that it is expensive is that you are responsible for how much you want to eat and even this is lovingly pointed out to you, for example. Don't choose too many noodles because you can quickly overestimate yourself or the chilli paste is very spicy when it comes to toppings. I can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

The concept is great, the food is not so bad, actually the best Chinese in Reutlingen. But the reason I give less stars is the combination of ingredients is very difficult to pick for someone not familiar with the huge offering so I ended up with the weird soup. Also a bit pricey. I’m a Singaporean Chinese and love the quality of mala tang here. It’s authentic and tasty. I ordered medium spicy and the spice level is just right. They go by a bowl per person system unlike the system in Singapore and Malaysia.

We had dinner there with friends last night and were not disappointed. The food was very fresh and you could put everything together individually. We also thought it was great that there were many vegetarian options. The owner was also very nice and handed out a round of crab chips to all visitors.

What really makes this restaurant unique is the authentic concept where you can create your own ramen soup from a variety of fresh ingredients. From tender meats to crispy vegetables and flavorful broths, there is something to suit every taste. The quality of the ingredients is excellent and the preparation on site ensures that every soup is a real taste experience. However, there is also a small drawback: the restaurant is relatively small and can therefore fill up quickly. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance to ensure you get a seat. Unfortunately, reservations can only be made for groups of four or more, which can be a bit disappointing for couples or smaller groups. Still, it's definitely worth planning a visit to enjoy the delicious ramen soups and friendly atmosphere!

I've been eating there since it opened and I really love it. The owners are exceptionally nice. The steps are: choose vegetables/meat/noodles (400-600g) - weigh - select the desired soup base (vegetarian, spicy, mushroom, tomato, etc.) - pay - get a number - pick up food - add extra spices (vinegar, soy sauce , chili, garlic, peanut and sesame paste).- enjoy This is real Chinese food. It can also be called a hot pot for one person.

The Malatang restaurant in the center of Reutlingen: the taste is pretty good, with a rich selection of ingredients, and the spiciness is enough for Chinese tastes (for Sichuan people, the top spiciness of this restaurant also tastes very spicy). Small shop, exciting concept. Food is delicious, but completely overpriced. For 2 bowls of soup 38 euros is simply too much, and not a lot of ingredients were chosen. You don't get an invoice or understand what is being weighed, so you can't be too sure. Doesn't have to happen again.

Heute war ich zum ersten Mal hier essen. Ich kam um 19:30 Uhr und der (kleine) Laden war proppevoll. Das spricht schon mal FÜR den Laden. Nach einer kurzen Wartezeit bekam ich einen Platz. Service: Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen. Nach einer kurzen Einführung und dem ein oder anderen wichtigen Hinweis (die Menge der Nudeln z.B. nicht unterschätzen oder dass der Preis vom Gewicht meiner Zutaten abhängig ist) konnte ich meine Schüssel, die ich bekam, füllen. Die Zubereitung dauerte nicht lange. Traditionell isst man Ramen mit Stäbchen und Löffel (meine Wahl) falls man damit aber nicht ganz zurechtkommt, kann man sich auch noch eine Gabel nehmen. Essen: Die Theke mit den frischen Zutaten ist reichhaltig und für jeden ist etwas dabei. Eine kleine Truhe mit Tiefgefrorenem (Dumplings, Tofu-Spezialitäten), an der Frischetheke von Fleisch (Rind, Ente (sogar auch vegan) Schwein, Meeresfrüchte) über etliche Gemüsesorten (Brokkoli, Pak Choi, Spinat, Karotten, Sojasprossen,...), Pilze in verschiedenen Sorten, Kürbisse über hausgemachte Nudeln (diverse frische Nudeln, Glas- und Reisnudeln) sowie Instantnudeln, über Eier und verschiedene Tofu-Spezialitäten (natur, Tofu-Haut, paniert Würfel, Tofu-Röllchen) gibt es alles, was das Herz begehrt. Es gibt auch exotische Zutaten die man hier eher weniger kennt bzw. isst wie z.B. Lotuswurzel, gestocktes Schafblut, Magen oder Rindersehne. Auch bei den Nudeln gibt es ein paar Überraschungen. Man kann dann aus verschiedenen Suppen wählen und zum Schluss sein Essen mit den verschiedensten Toppings und 3erlei Soßen kostenlos abrunden. ACHTUNG: Es gibt eine scharfe Suppe und da ich gerne scharf esse nahm ich die. Glaubt mir: der Schärfegrad "wenig" ist ausreichend und noch so dosiert, dass man trotzdem was schmeckt 😊 Sauberkeit: Die Theke mit den Zutaten wirkte auf mich sehr sauber und geordnet, es waren genügend Zangen oder Kellen vorhanden und das Essen war frisch. Auch der Bereich bei den Toppings und dem Besteck war sehr sauber. Im Restaurantbereich kann man gemütlich sitzen auch wenn es mitunter bestimmt eng werden kann. Preis-Leistung: Ich habe für meine große Portion Ramen knapp 18€ bezahlt. Pro 100g 2,68€. Für die Auswahl und die Frische der Zutaten absolut in Ordnung! Ab 10€ kann man auch mit Karte zahlen Fazit: --> wenig Scharf reicht --> wenn man auf Nummer Sicher gehen will: reservieren --> ich komme wieder

Ich bin sehr oft dort mit Freunden und hab jedes Mal sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und ich bezahle für eine gute Portion die mich mehr als satt macht immer 9€. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich! Die Atmosphäre ist immer sehr toll da die Beleuchtung abends sehr angenehm ist und der Laden klein und gemütlich ist.
