Best tacos in town. Authentic Mexican Food and Fabulous Frozen Margaritas. Would like to give 6 stars.

It was very tasty there again. Great beef burrito! Food is absolutely delicious. Fish and pork taco also very good, but almost 5 € for about 3 bites is already over the price. The homemade lemonade is very tasty. The margarita is also great, but the glasses of the margaritas are getting smaller and smaller, at least that's how it seems to me and over €8 for that is way too much! You could think about a kind of refill action, e.g. €6 for each additional one in the same glass. Ambiance is good, music sometimes like that. The service was a bit chaotic and inattentive, but totally nice.

Very interesting shop with classic Mexican cuisine. Burritos are quite filling and very tasty. It is usually full so I would suggest you to make a reservation, but there is also the option of the package. Most of the dishes are quite hot, so if you like hot food, it's worth it.

We were on the way to South Tyrol. Following a recommendation from one of our favorite restaurateurs from Berlin, we quickly decided to take a quick detour to Maiz in Würzburg. We are at a loss for words - a culinary delight.

Unpretentious Mexican, with excellent food! Fast and extremely tasty! A culinary delight that stimulates all the senses of taste with just a few ingredients.

We were at Maiz Würzburg last night. The starter was chips with guacamole. Afterwards we tried our way through the tacos and burritos, accompanied by mixed frozen margaritas. A special highlight was the crispy taco “Flauta De Papa” – incredibly tasty and an absolute recommendation! If you like it more spicy, you can get two sauces and a spice paste upon request. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, the service is attentive and warm. All around a perfect experience – we will definitely be back! 🌮🍹💛

Sensational, was there with a few friends for a little birthday and everything tasted great again and lots of nice frozen margaritas 😊 Best tacos in the city and surrounding area. We ate all the tacos on the menu several times and shared the delicious dessert at the end. All the employees were super friendly and can therefore only recommend Maiz 😊

I've been visiting Maiz for years and have always appreciated their delicious burritos. Unfortunately I have to say that my last few visits have been disappointing. The burritos seem less lovingly prepared and are also overpriced in relation to the portion size from before. The flavors are often flat and uninspired. It feels like the care that used to be put into each dish has been somewhat lost. I hope Maiz gets back to basics and regains the commitment to the burritos, because the potential is there.

Super tasty tortilla with gucamole and the burritos are simply incredibly tasty! Great address for high-quality, and if necessary, quick food! And there is also delicious organic beer.

Cute restaurant, but unfortunately no vegan dishes on the menu. Only vegetarian things where you have to leave something out. Very unfortunate.

Great food, friendly service, really a taste experience. Card payment is possible without any problems. Reservation recommended, always full. You can sit comfortably and sociably; perhaps the benches are not ideal for old people. But the young crowd always has a great evening there. Unfortunately only one toilet.

Absolute favorite restaurant in Würzburg: No matter whether you order tacos or burritos - it tastes delicious every time. There are also delicious frozen margaritas (classic and daily changing special margarita e.g. mango or strawberry) and a free refill for soft drinks (soda, iced tea, etc.). The service is very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, it is often difficult to get a seat because the rooms are very small (which, in my opinion, is what makes the place special). In most cases it is advisable to make a reservation. Overall, an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants authentic Mexican cuisine and delicious margaritas. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I had high expectations of MaiZ Taqueria, as the service was friendly and the quality of the food was generally convincing. Unfortunately, my experience was completely overshadowed by an extremely unpleasant incident: I found a long black hair in my taco. Such an incident is not only unhygienic but also causes the appetite to disappear completely. To my regret, there was no effort by the restaurant to adequately defuse or compensate for the situation. Given this incident, it will probably be a very long time before I could decide to visit this restaurant again or recommend it to others. Unfortunately, the impression this experience left was extremely negative.

Great tacos! We tried the menu once and everything was outstanding! Reservations are strongly recommended, however, as the weekend is absolutely packed - and rightly so! Everything was really tasty and completely freshly prepared. Top!

It’s very small place which gets very loud. Kinda uncomfortable places to sit. Food is very tasty, closes to authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos, however, are extremely overpriced from my point of view.

Nice little restaurant. Has a small selection of different burritos and tacos but everything we tried was fantastic! When one of the tacos was not available, an alternative was prepared and, as a gesture of goodwill, another one was given on the house. This is customer service! If you're coming in the evening, it's better to make a reservation as it's very busy.

Small but nice. For me, Maiz is the diamond of the Würzburg gastronomic scene. The quality of the food, the recipes of the individual dishes and the service are perfect! And this level has been constant for many years. Great!

The food tastes really great and is very authentically Mexican! The burrito was a great portion. A taco is more of a snack (if you're hungry, it's better to order 2 😁). Value for money is good, the staff is friendly and quick. The decor and vibe are hip, more of a snack bar with louder music than a cozy restaurant. We were very satisfied!

It was my first time in this restaurant and in short I thought it was ok. The prices are fair and I found a free refill of selected (fewer) drinks to be positive. About the burrito: I think €14 for the beef burrito (barbacoa burrito) is absolutely reasonable. The portion is good enough and it tasted good too. Regarding the chips with guacamole and salsa: I didn't try them myself, but they were rated as average by the other 3 people who were there. The staff is very friendly and attentive, great! The ambience is one of the biggest negative points for me. I miss the cozy atmosphere that I know from other “Mexicans”. All in all: you can definitely do it.

The reviews don't lie. The ownership is super courteous and on top of the quality of his product. The al pastor burrito was 🤌 and while I normally avoid frozen drinks the frozen margarita was a solid choice. Absolutely use the hot sauces in combination and enjoy the heat. This is worth a visit regardless of your culinary intentions on your visit to Weurtzburg.

Simple, cool place, lively and urban. Nice service and good atmosphere. The food tastes very good and is freshly prepared, you can watch it directly over the counter. The Frozen Magharita is fantastic, we often come by just because of that :D unfortunately it's difficult without a reservation, it's very popular and small. We actually never make reservations because we want to be more spontaneous, then you might not get a seat ;)

I typically find any Mexican or Tex-mex food in Germany very bad. This place was delicious even for American standards.

I DEVOURED them. So good. I was craving birria tacos actually, but there was none in town. But we got beef tacos, fish taco, sweet potato, and flauta de papa and the beef taco was absolutely amazing. Meat was juicy and satisfied my cravings. Staffs were also kind.

Fast, well organized and friendly service despite the number of guests. I didn't like the way the meal was presented: the burrito came wrapped in paper, the tacos, with the exception of one, were on thin paper and on a silver tray. When it was cut, the paper got into the food. The main courses tasted good to very good. Unfortunately, the guacamole was not well seasoned and anyone can make it better at home with the right recipe.

The food is very tasty, but the price is not worth it if you are very hungry if you only have a small budget... Overall, the place is quite small, rather cozy and obviously always well attended. Finding a place to eat here spontaneously is just a matter of luck. Staff is very friendly despite the large crowd... Definitely recommended for those who can afford it...

Do you know Hole in the Wall? This is one of those places. Small, intimate, all with you AND delicious! This is authentic Mexican. This was better than my own BECAUSE I didn't have to prepare it. Guys, a real treat. Nothing beats tacos al pastor or barbacoa. Direct hit. The burrito was also really enjoyed. Don't miss this. An absolute MUST! (Ask for the Habanero sauce...extra aromatic and very spicy.)

I don't understand all the great reviews, there were three of us there and none of us liked it and it wasn't tacos but rather soggy pancakes.

Perfect place to eat Mexican food. There homemade tortillas are so delicious. Small menu which is a joy. You can choose from taco el pastor to vegetarian sweet potato taco or burrito. The best thing is the margarita. Staff is super nice but make a reservation

Living in SoCal, I have to say these tacos are darn good. The place is located in the city center of the lovely Franconian Würzburg and should be a pitstop while visiting all the great sightseeing spots the city has to offer.

4th day in #würzburg. Today we had an absolute culinary highlight. We went to Maiz Taqueria and enjoyed tacos. Neither of us have ever tasted such delicious Mexican cuisine. It's an absolute taste explosion. Outstanding. #Food #Mexicancuisine The city guide of #dumont had this tip. If you like Mexican food, you should definitely go to this small, simple, inconspicuous restaurant when you are in Würzburg. You will not regret it. We are completely thrilled.

Authentic Tacos, the fish tacos and Al Pastor were incredible, absolutely recommend this place for very very authentic tacos and burritos. Refreshing from the normally bad Mexican (not) fare you get in Germany.

It used to be world class, but the portions have become smaller and the prices have risen. I would understand either, but both are a bit of a shame. The service has also slipped a bit.

For anyone who loves authentic South American food, this shop is a must. A small card, but a very selected card. We took food to go and both the food and the service were excellent. Only recommended.

You have to try these tacos. For me they are among the best I have eaten in Germany. After a short conversation with a waitress, it turned out that the chefs were from Mexico. You can definitely taste that here. Varied and relatively cheap for the quality and quantity of food. The Al Pastor was my favorite.
