Habaneros in Würzburg

This review criticizes the restaurant's lack of preparation and organization and the resulting poor service. Unfortunately, it was not possible to place an order by telephone for pickup on December 15, 2024 at 7:25 p.m. Reason: "The kitchen would be overloaded" - a shame :( Reachability by telephone is also very poor. The food has always been delicious and the atmosphere is very nice.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant and received very nice service and advice, many thanks to the staff.

Very tasty food at reasonable prices, including vegetarian and vegan alternatives. The most that could be criticized is that it is large and therefore relatively loud.

Every time we are in Würzburg, a visit to Habaneros is a must. The food is incredibly delicious. I've tried a lot of dishes now, but I'm far from finished. In any case, we have never been disappointed. The ambience immediately gives you a holiday feeling. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is good. So I definitely recommend it!

Authentic Mexican food, amazing atmosphere, fantastic customer service!

Very large and delicious selection, including vegan dishes. Only the stools and the small round tables are a bit uncomfortable and unfavorable for two people in my opinion.

Unfortunately it always takes forever to get your drinks/food, otherwise it's a really good shop! The staff can't do anything about it, there are simply not enough employees!

Disappointment across the board – no recommendation My visit to Habaneros yesterday was anything but pleasant. The quality of my food was simply disappointing. I had a scalloped potato with some vegetables and cheese, and a salad was served with it, but it was completely inedible. The dressing was in a veritable flood on the salad - a taste fiasco. Was it cheap vinegar with added sugar? Or something else? No one at the table could classify the taste, but everyone agreed: stay away from it. The salad itself was about 80% cheap iceberg lettuce - simply unacceptable for a dish of this price. When the staff politely asked if I liked it, I answered honestly with "No, the salad was inedible." This was passed on to the kitchen, but instead of a sincere apology, I was just offered a new salad. I refused, saying: “I should continue to be fine.” Conclusion: The quality of the food and the handling of a legitimate complaint leave a lot to be desired. For such a simple dish at such a high price – this is a complete rip off. There are numerous restaurants in W. that offer much more. I will definitely not visit Habaneros again and I will not recommend it to any other guest. I couldn't pay with an EC card either. It was probably at the bank, well - whoever believes it.

Quality has its price, that's an old saying. But the quantity should also be mentioned here: the portions are such that no guest has to leave the restaurant hungry.

I was at Habaneros with my friend this evening (11/19/2024). The food and drinks cannot be faulted. Normally I often go there to eat or just have a drink, but this evening a young service employee was shouted at by her colleague in front of all the guests. Unfortunately, I couldn't explain the exact background, but I couldn't understand how the poor young woman was treated. There is no obvious reason to me why you have to freak out like that in front of all the guests. Unfortunately, I have to say that I've noticed more often recently that the man behind the bar is rude to the young girls. For me, today was the last time I was there. There was no explanation for the whole thing and I didn't see the young lady again for the rest of the evening. I hope the boss doesn't let it get away with his girls being treated like that. Respectful treatment among colleagues is the most important thing.

Food is very good and plentiful. The prices are very high and the drinks prices are out of this world, the service is tried hard but overwhelmed.

The store will no longer see me as a guest! 9.30 p.m. Fancy a cocktail to go. Worked well and expressed our wish. We were asked to wait at a bar table in the entrance area until someone came. In 20 minutes we asked various employees that we would like to order. You are put off or completely ignored. Finally I flagged down a gentleman who was obviously in charge behind the bar. After we explained to him that we had already been waiting for 20 minutes and no one was interested in us as paying customers. From one second to the next he becomes completely aggressive and extremely rude in his choice of words. We left the restaurant. I used to eat at Habaneros regularly. Not anymore.

The food was good, nothing outstanding, the service was also courteous, although requests were forgotten and the waiter was very slow at times. The ambience is very nice, the music selection is poor (mainstream instead of Mexican type), and the restaurant is not very crowded to enjoy.

I thought the habaneros themselves were really upscale, the drinks were good, the food was true, unfortunately not for me, but not bad for my partner, true, it was very good, just not mine

Super delicious food and beautifully idyllic Mexican interior. The prices are slightly high (around €30 p.p.) but the food is really good. Unfortunately, one person's fries were cold and the taste was not convincing. Overall, however, definitely recommended!

Delicious food, a variety of ingredients, freshly prepared. The homemade lemonades are very tasty and can be adjusted to taste if desired. Also a reasonable size at 0.5L! Service quick, nice and helpful! The food comes quickly! Urgently pre-order as it is very well attended! Fairly priced! Highly recommended.

I actually always liked the place! But I've currently experienced two situations there when dealing with guests that weren't so great. It's open until 11 p.m. You are pushed out early after 10 p.m. Then we went to the team dinner, the waiters came very early and tipped our drinks over in the plastic cups so we could continue drinking outside. So a no go for me! Otherwise great food and atmosphere. But I still won't go there anymore.

Very nice Mexican restaurant. Would love to come back. Very good service (friendly and accommodating) and the food is very tasty, awesome. Very nice atmosphere. Cocktails are also highly recommended. Unfortunately the map has been changed. Unfortunately, my favorite cocktail (Hurricane) is no longer available. Not necessarily cheap in terms of price, but despite the high bill we left satisfied and happy. Highly recommended. Update 10/21/24. as always, everything is fine. Very happy to come. I can now also recommend churros, just like the home made lemonade

In the heart of Würzburg is a delightful Mexican restaurant. The food was excellent and our server, Janus, was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend.

Actually no stars for this store. My husband's spare ribs fell on the floor when the waiter was serving them - that can happen to anyone. We were also told that we would have to wait a while for the "new" spare ribs. That wouldn't have been a problem either. However, we didn't wait that long because after 4 minutes the spare ribs were brought back to the table. Unfortunately, the ground spareribs apparently weren't thrown in the trash but rather the sauce was simply scraped off or washed off. There was no trace of the sauce described on the menu as there was on the other part of the spare ribs and the spare ribs were otherwise extremely dry and tough. After trying it, the hair in my mouth no longer whetted my appetite for another dish. We were surprised with a brownie, but the spare ribs from the floor just didn't make up for it. Simply a no-go, the longer waiting time wouldn't have been a problem at all.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience at this restaurant. Food was delicious. Service was simply 0 He gave us the food as if he was paying from his own pocket. We wanted the drinks before dinner and he said we weren't a 5 star hotel. I ordered a coke that didn't come but was on the bill!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Würzburg. Great ambience, the food and cocktails are always tasty and of good quality. Particularly nice gestures, such as a free drink on your birthday, stand out from other restaurants and should be highlighted as customer service. The current trend of increasing prices and reducing portions doesn't seem to have passed us by during our last visit, but the portions are still large and filling. :) All in all, a clear recommendation!

The music made me happy😍and the atmosphere and decoration transport you to a Mexican or Caribbean night. 😍Homemade lemonades are delicious and a good size. The bowl is large and the Supreme tacos are delicious and come in 3. I recommend having a strawberry frozen mojito, deli!

Came on a Friday evening, had reserved and were guaranteed a table for 2 hours. The service was very nice and the drinks came very quickly, but we had to wait a little longer to eat, but it was also quite full. But it was beautifully prepared and very tasty. Reasonably priced but not cheap either. The ambience is very nice, whether inside or outside. It feels a bit like Encanto.

Really delicious, there was something for everyone, lots of vegetarian and vegan dishes. No problem with a dog and it's really nice to sit in. Definitely coming back!

Experience gastronomy! Definitely worth a visit. The division into different floors makes you feel like you're sitting in a Spanish backyard. Everything is decorated and designed with a lot of love. The food is awesome. We were there on Taco Tuesday and were inspired by the Takko variety. The taste is amazing and the waitresses are also super nice. The cocktails are also very tasty and I can tell you that.

The restaurant is set up like a Mexican town. You can find great details everywhere. The food is amazing and the portions are more than sufficient. The staff is very friendly and even though we arrived late and the kitchen was about to close, there was still something to eat.

We were in Würzburg at the weekend and had dinner at Habaneros. We have rarely eaten such good Mexican food. The service was great. It was really great

Mexican cuisine and restaurants are pretty much new territory for me, which is why we chose this restaurant. Visually it looks great and is wonderfully decorated and generally very beautiful. Great atmosphere and lighting backdrop. I didn't find the rocking taquitos with chili filling (probably very spicy) spicy, but they were best seasoned with habaneros and therefore very tasty. That's exactly how I would have wanted or expected the spice in everything else. For the tortillas with the three dips, the Habaneros salsa was rather sweet and sour, the sour cream was very runny and the guacamole was okay. Unfortunately, my soft tacos were a drippy affair, had no sauce and tasted watered down. I would have preferred the large pieces of pepper to be smaller. My friend's Taco Supreme looked much better and wasn't as drippy. The potato wedges were incredibly crispy and very tasty. My Pina Colada was by far the best I've ever had, even better than my own. Super creamy and delicious. The elderberry-lemon-mint lemonade was very good despite the fizz. But the iced teas had hardly any taste. The churros blew us all away in terms of taste. Extremely tasty and highly recommended. All in all, I can only say that I enjoyed the food, but I would have liked it to be a lot spicier and more flavorful. Although we ordered special dishes that were supposed to be spicy or even more spicy, they were rather bland and too unseasoned for us. It would be great if spices (salt, pepper, chili, etc.) could be distributed on the tables for seasoning. I will still come back and try something different.

Recommended by a friend while passing through, Habaneros was one of the highlights of my trip to southern Germany. Mega delicious food, the bulldog “for two” was taken alone and was super tasty. Very courteous service. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area!

We were at Habanero yesterday. The food was really fresh and also very nicely prepared. For the fajitas there could be an extra wrap, otherwise there would always be so much meat left over and you would have to eat it plain. Otherwise everything was great. I find this principle of ordering drinks via a QR code very good. Great atmosphere, great staff :)

There were 7 of us here on a Saturday evening. The service people were always on the ball, quick and friendly and always delivered the things we ordered to us quickly. As a starter we had nachos. Here, however, there was only broken material from the pack under the top layer and that wasn't so great. I don't actually know that something like that leaves the kitchen. I ate a habaneros bowl that was very good. The taste of the Habaneros is TexMex, but I was missing a certain spiciness. Unfortunately, the sugar rim was forgotten for two drinks. We also ordered a burrito here and the shape that arrived here was completely foreign to me - but tasted good. All in all - except for the nachos - good.

Been there again for a long time. Service staff very friendly and accommodating. Map has been revised since my last visit. There is more choice. The food was all fresh and very tasty. Only the price of the dishes is quite high (compared to my last visit). We sat on the patio/backyard. Very nicely decorated and the music wasn't too loud, you could have a normal conversation. Only the table and chairs could have been a little bigger.

Best Mexican in Würzburg. You can really say it was the best food we had eaten. The food literally melts in your mouth. The fire show with the chicken wings can only be recommended. The bar is also particularly noteworthy. Very good cocktails and large selection. The homemade churros are totally impressive. The ambience is beautiful and furnished with love, very detailed. The service, if you get the right one, is really super friendly, accommodating and fun for everyone. Highly recommended for dates and photos. The toilets are clean and very nicely designed. Card payment is possible. The only negative point is that you have to make a reservation and once you get there you only have a limited time of 2 hours to eat.

Classic Tex-Mex food that clearly stands out from the competition in terms of taste, variety and quality. Super great atmosphere in the style of a large patio with balconies, service extremely friendly and incredibly fast. Rarely have you been so pampered!

Ich kann dieses Restaurant weiter empfehlen, denn das Chilli, welches sich mein Freund bestellt hat, war äußerst schmackhaft. Sowie der Taco Salat, den ich mir bestellt habe, sehr große Portionen für den großen Hunger. Die Bedingung war für meinen Geschmack etwas aufdringlich. Es war etwas nervig jede 5-10 Minuten gefragt zu werden,ob wir noch irgendwas bestellen wollen. Das Restaurant war sehr schön eingerichtet, authentisch mexikanisch.

What a lovely place with a fantastic outdoor seating area. I have given the food 3 stars because although delicious, my wife ordered chicken fajitas and I ordered a burrito bowl with chicken and beef, but we both got chicken and beef, although it wasn’t a problem to have both, because I was happy to have more beef, it was very salty “Very salty”! The fruit on the burrito bowl was also delicious, but there was far too much lettuce hidden at the bottom to fill it out the chicken fajitas were good. The original margaritas were delicious and well made. And the Bulldog was amazing. Worth the price, I would recommend one each. It’s a very tasty drink. Staff where good, but we did struggle to get attention once our food was served and we wanted more drinks. All in all a pleasant experience, but next time I would return the beef. Too salty!!

The ambience is really awesome, you come in and feel like you're in a bar in Mexico. The portions are really big so I would advise not to take a starter but let everyone have their own. If there is anything left over, you will be given containers to take with you. The food was delicious and the cocktails were also very good. I would definitely go again.

I went to Habaneros for the first time about a year ago. I have never visited such a good Mexican restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No matter whether starters, main courses or desserts... this restaurant is an absolute asset!!! We come an extra 150 km for the ambience, the great service (Yannis is a very charming, attentive waiter) and the absolutely brilliant food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Always worth a trip! Greetings Marina

The best! It captures the Mexican atmosphere to the fullest. As soon as you enter the restaurant you have the feeling of being on the street in the center. The music reinforces this effect. The wide selection on the menu allows you to fully enjoy typical Mexican cuisine. Delicious food, great drinks and drinks prepared in the bar on the other hand can make more than one evening enjoyable. I will definitely go back there!
