Maharani Munich in München

The food was very tasty and with a very good price in Munich.

We came across this restaurant through the “Schlemmerblock” voucher book. We called and made a reservation for two people with a dog. We were assured on the phone that this would of course be fine. When we arrived we were rudely turned away from the restaurant because dogs were not allowed. (The voucher book also said that dogs were allowed.) The restaurant was almost empty at 7 p.m. I don't even need to start with the look of the table sets. I can't judge the food, maybe this restaurant could have at least scored with that.

Very unfriendly. In addition, the equipment is pretty shabby.

We ordered a Maharani grill platter with salad, as shown on the menu. The meal was served without salad. Reason: this is still the old menu. The second dish with shrimps wouldn't be available today. But they reappeared on the grill. It was a bit like a hidden camera. Conclusion: Never again!

Instead of the mild food ordered, brutally spicy food was delivered. I ordered this for my children 10 & 2 years old. The little one screamed for an hour because of the pain in her mouth! Restaurant could not be reached by phone! Eating food in the trash was just terrible! And irresponsible! Waste of money

Less oil, properly cooked and feels like home food. Manager/owner of this place named Tahir is exceptionally good in making you feel like home and keeps talking to you. Always friendly and gets the food prepared customised to your taste. Ambience: Though the place looks a bit old but soon to be renovated Food: No doubts, its absolutely good. This had been my daily kitchen to eat after my work for almost 2 weeks Comparison: Have tried various other Indian restaurants in Munich, you will find lot of oil in the curries, an easier way to cook food and they think adds taste. But the food at Maharani has almost no oil. Value for Money: This place is comparatively cheaper to other overly priced Indian restaurants Recommendation: Must visit place and say hi to Tahir

Das Essen hier schmeckt richtig gut. Waren jetzt öfters hier und sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen dem Service. Die Einrichtung des Lokals ist ein bisschen altbacken; die Tische Gedeck Gläser Geschirr alles sehr sauber. Die Preise für Getränke Bier Aperol Mango Lassi günstig und auch Thali Vorspeisen Hauptgang Lamm Ente Vegetarisch kosten ein Viertel weniger was sogenannte andere 'Indische Lokale' in München berechnen. Wir kommen bald wieder hierher.

Nice restaurant. On Sunday there is a lunch buffet for €12.50 per person, which I really liked. There was rice, dal, palak paneer and butter chicken as much as you want. Starters, salad, naan and drinks must be ordered separately. The menu is very extensive and offers 2 pages of vegetarian and 1 page of vegan dishes.

I ordered chicken mango . Rice seems not boiled . I told the staff . They again gave me the rice in same state . They also said this what they have . So i left without paying the bill. Highly disappointed by going with a hungry stomach and customer service .

Nettes indisches Restaurant bei mir uns Eck, zu dem meine Familie und ich schon seit Jahren immer wieder vorbeischauen und zufrieden nach einem netten Abend wieder heimgehen. Erwähnenswert ist der liebe Kellner der wirklich super angenehm und zuvorkommend ist. Und beim gestrigen Besuch mit einem Gutschein aus dem Schlemmerheft hat auch alles easy und ohne Probleme funktioniert.

Bisher zweimal bestellt. Beim ersten Mal (Butter Chicken) schnell und lecker, diesmal zwar schnell, aber ungenießbar. Das Chicken Tandoori war derart versalzen, dass wir es nur wegwerfen konnten. Schade.

Die Inneneinrichtung ist etwas kitschig u recht einfach . Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend u das Essen durchweg fein gewürzt . 8 vegane Gerichte auf der Karte und für München wirklich günstig ( alle unter 10€) Uns hat’s sehr gut geschmeckt , gerne wieder :)

Alles in allem ordentlich und in Ordnung = Guter Durchschnitt. Für den 5. Stern reicht es allerdings nicht. Dafür ist vieles zu hemdsärmelig. Während wir beim Essen waren kamen ca. 10 Fahrer von Lieferdiensten, um Essen zu holen. Ist ja nichts schlechtes, aber halt für die Atmosphäre nicht besonders förderlich. Kleinigkeiten wie ein Glas Wein vergessen, sehe ich schon nach. Deswegen eine durchaus positive 4* Bewertung.

Having arrived in Munich very late on Sunday due to a delayed flight, we stumbled on Maharani in a search for somewhere to eat. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, speaking some English and having English menus which was helpful. The food was very good and good value for money at around €13 for a main course. I’m normally a little hesitant to go for lamb dishes, but the meat in the Chana Ghost I opted for (lamb and chickpeas) was excellent, melt in the mouth stuff. For mains, rice and naans and drinks for 4, we paid a very reasonable €70.

Randomly stumbled into the place and I thank destiny for having brought me here. Where should I start? Staff, beyond welcoming: welcomed us where most of the kitchens were closed - a burning oil lap was waiting for us. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food. Unlimited rice.
