Here's our review of our evening last night: One star deducted because the candle oil ran out at one point, one star deducted for the mafioso picture of "your brother" above the kitchen entrance. Two extra stars for the combination of good food, the wooden windowsills, and your hospitality. That makes 5 out of 5 stars 😄👍

Best Indian restaurant in town. Super friendly owner; you can tell he loves his work. The food is delicious; we ordered the owner's recommendation. It was quite busy on the day we were there, so the restaurant was rather noisy. Otherwise, everything was very satisfactory. We'd gladly come back.

We felt very welcome. A well-organized and extensive menu with a wide selection. The dishes are delicious and flavorful. The meat is tender and juicy. The appetizers are very tasty. Good naan bread – both regular and whole wheat. Typical Indian dishes without being overly spicy. The prices are also absolutely fair and reasonable. I'll gladly come back. Highly recommended.

We were invited to dinner, and the food itself was delicious (a little hint to the waiter when explaining the food was the fingers). The ambiance inside was authentic, but from the outside, I would have easily missed it. A palace is something else entirely.

Despite this restaurant being in business for decades, I've only just had the chance to eat here. We received a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. Everything was explained well, and special requests were accommodated. The food was truly delicious, and the meat was wonderfully tender. My only criticism was the dessert – cream cheese balls with ice cream. There was a lot of ice cream and cream, but only one tiny little ball. I had hoped for something different. But otherwise, we were very satisfied and would gladly come back!

Thanks to over 30 years of experience, the traditional Indian dishes have been perfectly adapted to European tastes, thus offering a harmonious taste experience for our palates – with individually adjustable spice levels. Tip: If you like your food "quite spicy," typical German tastes are your best bet, Vindaloo is the perfect choice. Everything is freshly prepared, wonderfully seasoned, and simply delicious. A restaurant you'll love to visit again and again – we highly recommend it!

From the outside, it looks more like an industrial park, but inside, the atmosphere is fantastic. And the food is unlike anything I've ever had outside of India. And finally, the service is unbeatable, both in terms of friendliness and attentiveness to guests' wishes – I felt completely at home.

From the very first bite, I felt transported back to my childhood. I haven't experienced a restaurant in over ten years that offers such authentic Indian cuisine and such a tasteful experience. The warm hospitality, attentive service, and tranquil atmosphere make the visit a special experience. For guests who are new to Indian cuisine, excellent advice is also available. If you want to experience a piece of India in Saxony, the Maharaja Palace is the place to be. ❤️❤️

We celebrated our wedding there. We traveled all the way from Wolfsburg to celebrate with family. Luckily, the other restaurant was closed, so we called and immediately got a table for 14 people. A super nice atmosphere. A super nice environment, and a super friendly chef. The food was excellent. There was also a lot for the kids to discover and experience. Very child-friendly. Definitely recommend a visit with children, and also as a group. SUPER, I'd love to come back, preferably every day!!!

A recommendation for anyone who enjoys spicy Indian food and appreciates Indian culture. I was noticably not turned away, even though the kitchen was officially closed. I was able to have a pleasant and open conversation with the server/owner.

Maharaja Palace – A Poem in Spices A visit to the Maharaja Palace is like a short vacation for the senses. The chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken melt in your mouth like a sunset, the naan is as soft as a pillow. The flavors dance, the colors glow, every bite is full of warmth, spice, and love. The owner is a true treasure. Warm, charming, with a golden smile that warms like an Indian sun. You feel welcome here.

Today, instead of a boring sandwich or the typical Sunday roast, we treated ourselves to something special and had lunch at the Maharaja Palace. A wonderful Sunday meal with authentic flavors and excellent service. We'd love to come back!

We arrived 25 minutes before closing time on a Tuesday and, after being surprised by this striking yet very aesthetic ambiance, were warmly welcomed despite the hour. To finish, we were each served a double shot of smoothie with every fruit found in India and beyond – just what we needed when it was over 30°C in the shade. We'd love to go back! 🙃

Wir haben zu einem besonderen Anlass dort gefeiert und ich durfte sogar ganz vorne am Kopf des großen Tisches Platz nehmen – ein schönes Extra, das sofort für gute Stimmung sorgte. Die zentrale Lage und das moderne Ambiente mit dezenten Farbakzenten sowie angenehmer Hintergrundmusik sorgten für eine entspannte Atmosphäre, in der man sich wunderbar unterhalten kann. Der Service war herausragend: Unser Kellner hatte über elf Bestellungen gleichzeitig im Kopf und bediente uns mit großem Humor und Charme. Selbst nach einer relativ langen Wartezeit blieb er stets aufmerksam und überraschte uns zwischendurch mit einer Runde Naan-Brot und Dips aufs Haus. Die Wartezeit hat sich definitiv gelohnt: Mein Curry-Gericht war wunderbar würzig und aromatisch, und die Mango Lassi war frisch, perfekt ausbalanciert und ein echter Genuss. Besonders praktisch: Eine Extra-Portion Reis ließ sich im Handumdrehen nachbestellen. Alles in allem ein durch und durch gelungener Besuch – Service, Essen und Atmosphäre haben uns voll überzeugt. Sehr gerne weiterzuempfehlen! 😊

The ambiance is decorated in a typically Indian style and immediately created a cozy atmosphere. The owner personally advised us on our choice of dishes. All the dishes were delicious, tastefully prepared, and lovingly presented. A pure explosion of flavor! We'll be back and thank the Singh family. It was a special experience for us.

What can you say? The food was top! The service was excellent, also because a lot of the food was explained! What we really liked was that you weren't processed within a few minutes. In this restaurant the food is still “celebrated”, which means you take your time to enjoy the whole thing. We spent about 3 hours there. The service towards children is also 1a!!! We'll definitely be back And the price-performance ratio is also absolutely fine.
