Everyone gets delicious food here. Whether vegetarian, vegan, allergies, additional spices... no problem. Simply communicate your wishes to the incredibly friendly staff and they will immediately explain in detail what is possible. Perfect! I had ordered palak murgh. According to the menu with chicken. Since I live vegan, I was offered the dish with organic tofu. It tasted absolutely fantastic. In fact, I would say it was the best vegan food I've ever had in a restaurant. bahut dhanyavaad! Many thanks to the entire team. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Today we had dinner in the Maharaja Palace for the first time and we were really impressed. The restaurant exudes a cozy atmosphere and is also beautifully decorated. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness and warmth of the staff. I was particularly impressed by the fact that allergy information was taken very seriously and we were informed in detail about the ingredients. Also a big compliment for the fact that it is possible to have many dishes as a vegan option. The food was super tasty and the portions were just right. The prices are also completely reasonable. Wir kamen aus Hessen und Nordrhein-Westfalen in Chemnitz an, haben vergessen dass es Feiertag ist und die Öffnungszeiten anders aussehen als üblich. Trotzdem , obwohl wir 1 Stunde zu früh dort waren, ließ man uns nach dem reinigen des Bodens ins Restaurant und bewirtete uns großartig.Die Atmosphäre, Freundlichkeit und Wärme, die das gesamte Lokal ausstrahlt, ist von außen nicht zu erkennen. Das Essen war frisch, trotzdem dass die Küche 1 Stunde früher aktiv werden musste, geschmacklich super. Vom Tee über Lassies bis hin zu den Hauptgerichten tipptopp Qualität geschmacklich super. Preisleistung optimal würden gern wiederkommen wohnen leider nicht nebenan…

We traveled from Nuremberg to Chemnitz specifically for a family reunion and had lunch in the Maharaja Palace. The food was excellent – ​​authentic Indian cuisine at its best. The owner was extremely accommodating and charismatic and listened to our every wish. An all-round successful experience! We can only warmly recommend this restaurant and would be happy to come back if we get the chance.

Always thrilled. Super friendly service, delicious food. Vegan is no problem either. After the drinks it took a long time until someone came to order and a lot of time passed before the main course. It took over 2 hours from sitting down to the main course. However, it was also a Friday evening with a large company.

A perfect Indian restaurant with the sweetest chef there is. The appetizer platter is highly recommended, as are all the other dishes, of course.

As always, eating with Mr. Singh is an experience. I couldn't decide, so I told the boss what I liked to eat and he conjured up a meal afterwards. It was the first time that I didn't manage to finish. Been friends with Mr. Singh for years and always enjoy going to the Maharaja.

We had dinner here again with the family last night. As always, super tasty, what I think is particularly nice is that there is a very large selection of vegetarian dishes. You can also choose the level of spiciness for each dish individually, depending on your taste. The waitresses are all very attentive and super friendly. As always, the boss also had a few good anecdotes up his sleeve ;). You feel welcome and that's why we always like to come back.

Today I was at the Maharaja's Palace with two friends. The atmosphere is very inviting. Since we are not very good connoisseurs of Indian food, the head of the house gave us personal advice. The food was very good and the sauces were a real treat. Highly recommended! :)

Great authentic ambience, very friendly service, you can tell that they do it with joy and love. Large selection of different dishes, the food was very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We will be happy to come back when we are in Chemnitz again.

Frustrating experience today. Great food, really tasty. Unfortunately there was no service today, it's a real shame. 2nd drink only came with the 2nd order. Serving the main course took several minutes until everything was there. You want to start - rice is missing. Empty plates are left standing for 40 minutes, as are glasses. We actually wanted dessert, but we were ignored three times. Nobody was interested in us anymore. When we asked why we weren't served, there was no apology or offer to make up for it. There was enough staff, 3 waiters and a waitress! Then I paid. Oh yes, the so-called appetizer greeting was also forgotten today, which is a shame. And the bluish, diffuse light is rather unpleasant. What a shame, an evening to forget. Don't come back straight away.

I would like to start by saying that, as we all know, Geachmack is always subjective and therefore my rating (hopefully) cannot be reproduced for everyone, but I would still like to give every potential person interested in ordering a holistic evaluation. My impression: I ordered Uber Eats and it was absolutely satisfactory. However, when the food arrived, the first problem arose: a soup had been dumped out and scattered around in the bag because it was only covered with cling film instead of a lid. Although the supplier may be partly to blame, safe packaging is a different story. The soup that was left was particularly cold. The Bathura bread I ordered was also worse than what I was used to from other restaurants: Relatively cold and very doughy => In my opinion, it would have taken longer to prepare it here. obviously helped, after all, that's why you buy it specifically. Unfortunately, the taste of the rest of the soup (chicken) and the main course (chicken korma) were not satisfactory either: both the soup and the chicken korma tasted noticeably like ready-made herb sauce, very salty - bitter and with noticeably little color (only White tones + herbs). Only the rice + the pure chicken tasted fresh and juicy. The restaurant could not be reached by telephone, but this may have been because the order was placed shortly before closing time. In short: an (expensive) disappointment across the board for me and my partner. Approximately €25 per person, full but absolutely unsatisfactory in terms of taste. I know that this restaurant is already respected by many others as an "institution of Chemnitz", etc. and if that is the case, I am happy for everyone who feels satisfied. In view of my dining experience today, however, I would recommend the already tested competitor "Paradise" or similar, as they are not only cheaper, but also allow for more substantial meals, at least for my tastes. I can only speculate and give the restaurant a tip that you can also refuse late orders in order to avoid errors/lightnesses in the preparation, if that was the problem today. I therefore hope that this will help you make a sensible purchase decision and wish you a good meal!

The best Hyderabadi biryani on request with delicious and soft chicken I’ve never had before. All the dishes are as good as the biryani. Don’t know how did I miss out on the restaurant before!! Would recommend to visit here for the best occasions.

Rather inconspicuous from the outside, but very well attended. The service was excellent and very personable, especially the service from the friendly owner of the restaurant. You felt very comfortable and the atmosphere is cozy. We will definitely come back, not least because of the delicious food :)

We recently ate here for the first time. We received a very friendly welcome and the boss explained a lot to us about his dishes. Like “Greetings from the kitchen,” for example. He also asked us whether we wanted to change the spiciness of our selected main courses or whether we had any additional requests. The selection is huge, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. We felt very comfortable and it was very tasty. The price-performance ratio is super good.

Dinner today at the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to in my life. Not only is the food delicious, the whole atmosphere is just great. You almost feel like you're in a big family, very nice, very familiar and attentive. Not a bit too offensive. I asked if I could allow some time between the starter (a very tasty spicy naan bread with Indian spices) and the main course so that I didn't have to eat everything so quickly at once. When I had slowly finished the starter, the waitress came and asked when I would like the main course. I said 10 minutes to a quarter of an hour is absolutely fine, and after about a quarter of an hour or even 20 minutes the main course came. Very great, you can really enjoy the food much better than when everything comes so close together and you have to practically wolf it down one after the other. And the owner is also very attentive and always keeps an eye on the parking lot in front of the house because some parking spaces there are reserved for a dance school, which is very quick to file criminal charges if someone who eats here parks there. That's what happened to me too, I had no idea that I shouldn't park where I first stood. The friendly man then pointed it out to me and explained it to me and I was able to move so that I wouldn't get into any trouble. And I observed that he did this with several guests. If I'm ever in Chemnitz again, this will be my first stop for food.

We went there spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised. The boss likes to greet his guests personally and even advises them on what to eat. He made us laugh with his slightly Saxon dialect. The food was delicious and cheap too. We left the restaurant with big bellies and would love to come back.

Eine große Auswahl an authentisch indischen Gerichten, die köstlich schmecken, eine angenehme Atmosphäre und ein super netter Service warten auf die Gäste. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis geht absolut in Ordnung. Sogar meine indische Schwiegertochter war begeistert. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

If you like Indian food, this is the right place for you. I've eaten here several times now and found both the ambience and the food great! Definitely a clear recommendation! The food is very tasty, the portion sizes are perfectly fine. The naan is recommended and the chicken korma is my absolute favorite. Waiting times are short and the service is very friendly. Reservations are recommended during normal peak times. It's no problem to have leftovers packed up. All in all a great restaurant that I can definitely recommend to everyone. If you would like to dine like a Maharaja, this is, as the name suggests, the right place for you.

Last night we were there for dinner with four people and were very well advised, served and cooked for. A highlight of Indo-European friendship.

I went two days ago with a friend and the experience was great!!! It was my first time trying food from India, and I have to say that I was amazed by the variety of flauvors. Special mention to the Mango Lassi ! And the attention of the staff is really remarkable too. They are really nice and generous. The owner gave us many recommendation and also gift us a little drink at the end that was really good. I totally recommend this place if you want to eat well, for a good price and in a nice environment.
