Very delicious and decorated food

After a very warm welcome, we were helped to choose the dishes. The portions are large and the food is very tasty! Extra requests (vegan options) will be taken into account. The ambience is also very appealing. The interaction between the teak furnishings and the lamps is very pretty. The best thing, however, is the host, who should bring a smile to everyone who visits 😊 We'd love to come back. Get to the meatballs!

We really enjoyed the evening at the Maharajah. The atmosphere is nice, the service is very friendly and accommodating. In addition, the boss also gives personal advice on food, such as what best suits German tastes. There was some nice entertainment in between, such as the wonderful mix of Indian accent and Saxon dialect. Even if you can't manage to eat, you can have it packed and even topped up with a side dish so that you still have a complete meal. The price-performance ratio was also very good. We went home very satisfied and will definitely come back.

We ordered for Saturday evening and were not disappointed. After a few minutes we were able to place the order and received the food quickly. The food was delicious and the price-performance ratio was fine.

A restaurant decorated in a typical Indian style with very friendly staff. The food was very generous, served hot and we all enjoyed it fantastically. When ordering you could choose the level of spiciness you wanted. As the number of visitors increased, you noticed that the wait staff had a lot to do and was therefore no longer as present, but that didn't detract from the friendliness. It was an all-round successful evening for us at a fair price. We'll be back soon!!!

I was in Chemnitz for a short vacation and since I like going to Indian restaurants, I took the opportunity to go straight to the Maharaja Palace. The ambience is traditionally Indian and looks very nice. You are warmly welcomed as the staff seem extremely attentive. The boss is very accommodating and has great passion for his restaurant. Super friendly! The food was an absolute highlight and although I have visited many Indian restaurants in Lower Saxony, this one is something very special. The Alu Chana Masala that I ordered was by far the best and most tomatoey curry I have ever been served. The naan was also super fluffy. An absolute recommendation for this restaurant! I'll definitely come back.

In a larger group with 5 children between 5 and 12 we went to a small celebration in the restaurant. We thought it was great that food and drink for the children came very quickly. We adults were able to order at our leisure without any stress. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. Absolutely recommended with and without children!

Wonderful Indian restaurant, we've been coming back for a long time and it's always an experience. The staff is very attentive and always nice and accommodating. The boss is very entertaining and has a brilliant and warm way of reaching people. The food was always very plentiful, really tasty and special requests were always met without any problems. By the way, toilets are always in impeccable hygienic condition. In short: We love coming here and look forward to our next visit.

A real pearl of Indian/Ayurvedic cooking. Here the guest is the focus and is treated with respect. The dishes can be ordered individually in terms of spiciness. This is rare in the Indian restaurant segment. You usually get “European” spiced dishes that have an Indian flavor. So if you want to try spicy, spicy or Indian spicy, you've come to the right place. The mildly spiced dishes are also above-average tasty and exude an individual touch. If you want to enjoy real Indian cuisine, you should definitely treat yourself here.

Where are you going for your birthday dinner... of course to the Maharaja Palace in Chemnitz! Asked for a quiet place and received it, lovingly set and decorated. On top of that, we were greeted with congratulations from the boss himself. As always, the food was mediocre, so 5 stars aren't enough :) The boss takes time for each of his guests and always has time for a chat. We can only recommend this restaurant and would love to come here again and again!

Our visit to the Maharaja Palace was an absolute highlight! From start to finish we were more than satisfied. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The menu offers a wonderful selection of dishes, and each one is a true taste experience. We were particularly enthusiastic about the appetizer platter, the mango chicken and the fresh naan bread, among other things. The spices were perfectly balanced and the quality of the ingredients was clearly noticeable. Vegetarians will also find a great selection here! The service was excellent: the staff was friendly, attentive and gave us competent advice on the choice of dishes. The waiting times were pleasantly short and the price-performance ratio was absolutely right. We can recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian cuisine or wants to discover it. Outside the city is generally always good, as it's not a tourist trap. Our reservation was forgotten after only 1 day's notice and despite confirmation. After 20 minutes we left without an order. Very weak service.

We had reserved for 12 adults and a small child and were all greeted and served in a very friendly manner. All the dishes we ordered were very tasty. We ate in the restaurant a while ago and were able to see that the quality and service are still at a high level. Thank you for a lovely culinary experience.

The Maharajah Palace is the best Indian restaurant in all of Chemnitz. Here you are warmly welcomed and always served with friendliness. The boss cannot be surpassed in his friendliness and always takes great time with his guests, even when there is a lot going on. All I can say about the food is: come over and try it out. Der Inhaber war total freundlich am Telefon und war so bemüht uns einen Tisch zu reservieren obwohl sie eigentlich ausgebucht waren. Ich bekam 2 x einen Rückruf und somit konnte er unsere gewünschte Uhrzeit sogar ermöglichen . Im Restaurant wurden wir total herzlich empfangen und bedient. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll!

Since I live vegan, I was offered the dish with organic tofu. It tasted absolutely fantastic. In fact, I would say it was the best vegan food I've ever had in a restaurant. bahut dhanyavaad! Wir kamen aus Hessen und Nordrhein-Westfalen in Chemnitz an, haben vergessen dass es Feiertag ist und die Öffnungszeiten anders aussehen als üblich. Trotzdem , obwohl wir 1 Stunde zu früh dort waren, ließ man uns nach dem reinigen des Bodens ins Restaurant und bewirtete uns großartig.Die Atmosphäre, Freundlichkeit und Wärme, die das gesamte Lokal ausstrahlt, ist von außen nicht zu erkennen. Das Essen war frisch, trotzdem dass die Küche 1 Stunde früher aktiv werden musste, geschmacklich super. Vom Tee über Lassies bis hin zu den Hauptgerichten tipptopp Qualität geschmacklich super. Preisleistung optimal würden gern wiederkommen wohnen leider nicht nebenan…

We were welcomed straight away by the host and had a nice chat throughout the evening. You are told what ingredients are in the food and how it is made. You feel like you're invited to dinner with the family. Absolutely great as a whole experience. Great food and rarely experienced such great service. We'd love to come back👍🏻

We had dinner here again with the family last night. As always, super tasty, what I think is particularly nice is that there is a very large selection of vegetarian dishes. You can also choose the level of spiciness for each dish individually, depending on your taste. The waitresses are all very attentive and super friendly. As always, the boss also had a few good anecdotes up his sleeve ;). You feel welcome and that's why we always like to come back.

Today I was at the Maharaja's Palace with two friends. The atmosphere is very inviting. Since we are not very good connoisseurs of Indian food, the head of the house gave us personal advice. The food was very good and the sauces were a real treat. Highly recommended! :)

Frustrating experience today. Great food, really tasty. Unfortunately there was no service today, it's a real shame. 2nd drink only came with the 2nd order. Serving the main course took several minutes until everything was there. You want to start - rice is missing. Empty plates are left standing for 40 minutes, as are glasses. We actually wanted dessert, but we were ignored three times. Nobody was interested in us anymore. When we asked why we weren't served, there was no apology or offer to make up for it. There was enough staff, 3 waiters and a waitress! Then I paid. Oh yes, the so-called appetizer greeting was also forgotten today, which is a shame. And the bluish, diffuse light is rather unpleasant. What a shame, an evening to forget. Don't come back straight away.

I would like to start by saying that, as we all know, Geachmack is always subjective and therefore my rating (hopefully) cannot be reproduced for everyone, but I would still like to give every potential person interested in ordering a holistic evaluation. My impression: I ordered Uber Eats and it was absolutely satisfactory. However, when the food arrived, the first problem arose: a soup had been dumped out and scattered around in the bag because it was only covered with cling film instead of a lid. Although the supplier may be partly to blame, safe packaging is a different story. The soup that was left was particularly cold. The Bathura bread I ordered was also worse than what I was used to from other restaurants: Relatively cold and very doughy => In my opinion, it would have taken longer to prepare it here. obviously helped, after all, that's why you buy it specifically. Unfortunately, the taste of the rest of the soup (chicken) and the main course (chicken korma) were not satisfactory either: both the soup and the chicken korma tasted noticeably like ready-made herb sauce, very salty - bitter and with noticeably little color (only White tones + herbs). Only the rice + the pure chicken tasted fresh and juicy. The restaurant could not be reached by telephone, but this may have been because the order was placed shortly before closing time. In short: an (expensive) disappointment across the board for me and my partner. Approximately €25 per person, full but absolutely unsatisfactory in terms of taste. I know that this restaurant is already respected by many others as an "institution of Chemnitz", etc. and if that is the case, I am happy for everyone who feels satisfied. In view of my dining experience today, however, I would recommend the already tested competitor "Paradise" or similar, as they are not only cheaper, but also allow for more substantial meals, at least for my tastes. I can only speculate and give the restaurant a tip that you can also refuse late orders in order to avoid errors/lightnesses in the preparation, if that was the problem today. I therefore hope that this will help you make a sensible purchase decision and wish you a good meal!

Rather inconspicuous from the outside, but very well attended. The service was excellent and very personable, especially the service from the friendly owner of the restaurant. You felt very comfortable and the atmosphere is cozy. We will definitely come back, not least because of the delicious food :)

The best Hyderabadi biryani on request with delicious and soft chicken I’ve never had before. All the dishes are as good as the biryani. Don’t know how did I miss out on the restaurant before!! Would recommend to visit here for the best occasions.
