We felt completely comfortable. The service was excellent. Extras weren't a problem either. You were very welcome and served politely, attentively, courteously and friendly. That's how it should be everywhere. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for this lovely evening and the wonderfully delicious food.

We went there spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised. The boss likes to greet his guests personally and even advises them on what to eat. He made us laugh with his slightly Saxon dialect. The food was delicious and cheap too. We left the restaurant with big bellies and would love to come back.

Really nice Indian restaurant probably the best I found in Chemnitz

If you like Indian food, this is the right place for you. I've eaten here several times now and found both the ambience and the food great! Definitely a clear recommendation! The food is very tasty, the portion sizes are perfectly fine. The naan is recommended and the chicken korma is my absolute favorite. Waiting times are short and the service is very friendly. Reservations are recommended during normal peak times. It's no problem to have leftovers packed up. All in all a great restaurant that I can definitely recommend to everyone. If you would like to dine like a Maharaja, this is, as the name suggests, the right place for you.

Last night we were there for dinner with four people and were very well advised, served and cooked for. A highlight of Indo-European friendship.

I went two days ago with a friend and the experience was great!!! It was my first time trying food from India, and I have to say that I was amazed by the variety of flauvors. Special mention to the Mango Lassi ! And the attention of the staff is really remarkable too. They are really nice and generous. The owner gave us many recommendation and also gift us a little drink at the end that was really good. I totally recommend this place if you want to eat well, for a good price and in a nice environment.

We used the delivery service (accepting a slight loss in quality) and were looking forward to juicy, tasty food from the Tandorri oven, but we were totally disappointed when it was served 😞. Watery sauces with no taste, dry meat cooked to death, bread was bland and covered in flavored oil and everything was delivered lukewarm. A visit to the site will probably not change the quality or preparation. Even good service and a nice ambience can't change that.

We had dinner in the evening. There was very little going on that day. We were served very friendly and there was some explanation about the dishes. Our questions were answered in detail. The owner really went all out with his enthusiasm. The food was plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced. You can also pay with a credit card here, and tips can also be paid by card. Unfortunately, the number of parking spaces is too small. The chairs are very heavy, so as an adult you have to work hard. You can go here with a clear conscience.

The Maharaja Palace in Chemnitz is a permanent institution for Indian food. You immediately feel welcome and when the boss himself is in the restaurant, there is always a nice little anecdote. The food itself was good and tasty and if you feel like Indian, then this restaurant is a good choice. The sauces could contain a little more different nuances. We also had a Chicken Tandori dish and here too the meat was still juicy, but the taste was also a little bland. What's great, however, is that you can choose between rice or Nan bread for free. The prices are okay and especially the drink prices are more than fair. Unfortunately, the interior of the restaurant is not really inviting and actually needs to be redone. The parking situation definitely needs to be improved. As soon as the car is bigger, it becomes more than tight.

The two of us were there for my birthday. It was a successful evening from start to finish, with extremely good food, absolutely friendly and courteous staff and a wonderful ambience. The furnishings are typical of the country with attention to detail, as is the music. You absolutely forget about time and can really relax and enjoy. I already want to come back. ☺️

I tried a few highly rated places Indian restaurants in Chemnitz and had the best Indian food in Chemnitz at Maharadscha Palast. I tried the paneer pakora, Biryani, tandoori mix, lassi and Rasmalai there on Eid festival and every single dish was equally tasty. Taste: Here you can choose the spice option from mild to Indian hot which brings out the best taste for each person. Ambience: Perfect for family. Service: The person who served us was nice and friendly with a smiling face. He managed to take into consideration the spice level for each item for us and served us non-alcoholic shots in the end as complimentary. It has also become my go-to place to order Indian food from Lieferando also in Chemnitz.

Highly recommended restaurant with upscale amenities. The food is absolutely delicious and seasoned in a variety of ways. You will be greeted and farewelled and questions about the preparation and the spices included will be answered. Individual wishes are also taken into account. The hospitality there is a tangible experience. I'm just annoyed that I'm only a guest in Saxony and therefore won't be able to enjoy a visit any time soon. Super delicious food! The service is funny and self-deprecating. You have to be prepared for jokes. Ordering is easy for vegans. We were treated very understandingly and our wishes were taken into account. We had the feeling that the term "vegan" was known - and in Chemnitz! ;) We recommend. For all people who like it spicy: you can order medium to hot. It's more European flavored...

The restaurant looks very inviting due to the beautiful ambience. We were greeted very friendly. The service is fantastic, the restaurant manager is an absolute bombshell. He personally takes care of orders, fulfills every guest request and explains every dish in detail. This kind of service has to be described as unique. From the starter to the dessert, all of our dishes were a culinary highlight. If you value really good food and the best service, you can't avoid the Maharaja's Palace. Here, eating is an experience and not just a meal.

I have never been treated so well as in this restaurant. I don't even like Indian food. Still, the ambience was pretty much exactly what I imagined this restaurant to be like. Beautifully old school, rustic Indian. With paintings on the wall, very large heavy decorated chairs and lots of pampam around. The boss entertained us and all the other guests so charmingly that it was really a pleasure to stay there. I only ate fries and chicken schnitzel, but others swear that the food was great if you like that kind of food. Very generous portions and you can have it prepared to whatever level of spiciness you want. Only a few minutes passed until the food was ready. It was nice and hot and, in my opinion, freshly prepared. But as I said: the highlight was the boss himself. Very entertaining, always with a nice anecdote on his lips and absolutely charming with his accent and the way he uses certain words. I can't say it any other way. In no other restaurant in Germany, whether German or otherwise, have we ever felt so comfortable and felt so welcome. The whole shop was full and yet the good man greeted all the guests personally, entertained them while they waited and ate and also gave them a dignified farewell. At no time, and this should be mentioned, did he seem in any way pushy or even fake. I appreciate that he is such an open person. Very pleasant. My absolute, unreserved recommendation for this Maharaja in Chemnitz an der Zschopauer.

Aus meiner Sicht findet hier jeder etwas leckeres zum genießen. Falls jemanden die Schärfe abschreckt, hier kann man jeden Schärfegrad wünschen, von "nicht scharf" bus "südindischen scharf" alles möglich!

If you like a family atmosphere with high-quality food, this is the place for you. Nice staff, good food - definitely again as soon as I'm in Germany. Update: Unfortunately this time it wasn't a very hospitable experience. Despite there being fewer guests, we were dismissed after the meal, but we weren't even asked if we wanted dessert or something to drink. After 45 minutes I didn't want anything anymore and had to go and ask twice so we could pay - disappointing. We really enjoyed being there, but next time we'll go somewhere else.

Very nice visit, the last one was about 2 years ago, the service was very polite and tried very hard to speak good German, the food was good, both had the mixed plate, Nan bread was very tasty, basmati rice, long grain, fantastic, sauces, slightly spicy and hot, super , pieces of meat, well, cooked to death, maybe that's how it is in India, so all in all, nice evening and I'd love to do it again! What I would like to say negatively, everyone is wearing normal street clothes, nothing traditional, the chef serves the food with a disposable apron, well, otherwise, very satisfied! We visited the restaurant for the first time based on recommendations. Inconspicuous from the outside, my girlfriend and I were very surprised at what it looked like from the inside. A nice little restaurant with a nice table layout and interior design. The menu is well stocked with many different flavors. The waitress (boss himself) gave us a warm welcome, he was immediately super friendly and very kind. Now to the food, my girlfriend and I were very enthusiastic about the starter and the main course didn't disappoint either. In my opinion, it was extremely seasoned, the meat was perfectly fried and the recommended sauce went well with the main course. You can choose between many levels of spiciness, something for everyone from mild to very hot. In conclusion, a very good restaurant that we can only recommend to everyone. Dishes are a great size and great value for money. Service was super nice and quick. We would love to go to the palace again and are really looking forward to it.

Wir gehen seit Jahren immer wieder mal zum Abendessen ins Mararadscha. Wir sind jedes Mal auf's Neue vom Essen, dem super Service und dem Ambiente begeistert. Das Essen ist über die Jahre von so einer gleichbleibenden super Qualität, dass wir immer wieder gerne kommen. Ebenso der Service mit immer wieder super Höflichkeit. Uuund ein Chef, der die hohe Schule der Gastronomie in bester Qualität beherrscht und sich einfach alles merken kann. Wir fühlen uns gern gesehen und gut aufgehoben ,kommen immer wieder gerne. Meinen speziellen Sport hat sich der Chef natürlich auch gemerkt, erstaunlich.

It's rare to meet a person with such an aura. He lives what he does with heart and passion, loves his job and the people. His great talent as an entertainer with his unique sense of humor is the crowning glory. I can't remember laughing so hard while going to a restaurant. We had a fantastic evening and would love to come back.
