We ate here again today with the family. Simply an all-round successful evening. From the warm welcome, the friendly service (the boss himself is happy to advise on the selection of dishes, explains the various oriental spices and always has a funny saying on his lips) and the delicious food. Everything perfect. Keep it up. We'd love to come back.

What can you say? The food was top! The service was excellent, also because a lot of the food was explained! What we really liked was that you weren't processed within a few minutes. In this restaurant the food is still “celebrated”, which means you take your time to enjoy the whole thing. We spent about 3 hours there. The service towards children is also 1a!!! We'll definitely be back And the price-performance ratio is also absolutely fine.

It was very nice, the service was excellent, and the work was always fun. The food (which, being Indian, looks almost the same) was very tasty and rich. You can choose the spiciness between mild, a little hot or Indian hot, which can also lead to tastings in a larger group. So all in all we'd love to come back.

Simply great! I've been there several times and am thrilled every time. The service is exceptionally friendly - you are always greeted with a smile. It was our first time in the Maharaja Palace. We made reservations for 7 p.m. We were left standing until 7:35 p.m. without really caring about us. We often go out for Indian food and the food there was just average. The service wasn't really good. They forgot to bring us drinks and they still ended up on the bill. No recommendation from me!

Exceptional food and hospitality. We are in Chemnitz for just one night and were looking for a place with a lot of vegetarian options. I am so happy we chose to go here- we were warmly welcomed, the place was cozy and beautiful, and the food was truly excellent. The toilets were also spotless. We were there for the first time and it was really an experience. The atmosphere was beautiful and the man who served us was very friendly. Food tasted really good and the portion was more than enough. The rest that we couldn't manage was packed up for us and even filled up with rice. At the end there was a homemade drink, which tasted really good. Overall a wonderful experience and I would like to thank the friendly waiter who served us. We will definitely come back.

We were very satisfied with our visit! We received a warm welcome and all of our wishes were courteously addressed. If you follow a vegan diet, the options in Chemnitz are very limited, but in the Maharaja Palace we were offered a large selection of vegan dishes. The vegan Mango Lassi is highly recommended😋. We had a lovely evening with delicious food in a lovely atmosphere and will definitely be back.

The food is excellent! However it may occur that you have to wait for some time before your order is served because all the dishes are freshly prepared, a fact which guarantees high quality meals. We had to wait ca. 45 minutes, but in the meantime we were served naan bread and dips for free! The seats are thrones: relatively heavy and with a vertically upright backrest. Make sure that you park your car at one of the 4 lots identfied by plates printed with the name of the restaurant.

We have been to the Maharaja Palace several times. It's always delicious, an experience, and overall a nice evening. For us, the overall package is right! Special requests are also taken into account. The extensive menu is always a challenge for us. The next visit is already planned and the table is reserved.

We had dinner in the restaurant today. Reservation went without any problems. The atmosphere was cozy and familiar. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. Of course everyone is nice and helpful. But after 40 minutes of waiting we were only able to place a drink order. Then half of the drinks were forgotten, which had to be pointed out. The food was tasty and sufficient. There is something for everyone, whether vegetarian or vegan... unfortunately no one came to the table and asked if it could be something else. You had to constantly make yourself aware that you would like to place another order. We sat “on dry land” for the last half hour. After payment, no farewell, no thank you. Nothing... So very disappointing and unfortunately I don't recommend going there. If I can't remember orders, I should use paper and pen. There's no shame in the masses of people...

We went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday. The honest friendliness of the staff cannot be beaten. They took a lot of time with us and explained everything in detail. When a spontaneous request was made for a little surprise for the birthday child, the boss came personally and brought the birthday child a small, loving and funny surprise. The food was very, very good and was lovingly prepared. Thanks to the staff, it was a wonderful evening. We will now regularly visit this restaurant because you can simply feel good there.

Incredible food and excellent service were provided by the staff. The waiter was very friendly and created a great atmosphere at the table. The ambiance was fantastic and had an authentic cultural feel. I had only one issue with this restaurant—personally, I found it too loud and a bit overstimulating, which became uncomfortable after a while. Next time I visit, I'll make sure to be better prepared. Also big recommendation for the mango lassi.

For me as a vegan, one of my favorite restaurants in Chemnitz. So far, all of my orders have been able to be converted into vegan alternatives. Everything is taken into consideration and it tastes very good😊

We really enjoyed the evening at the Maharajah. The atmosphere is nice, the service is very friendly and accommodating. In addition, the boss also gives personal advice on food, such as what best suits German tastes. There was some nice entertainment in between, such as the wonderful mix of Indian accent and Saxon dialect. Even if you can't manage to eat, you can have it packed and even topped up with a side dish so that you still have a complete meal. The price-performance ratio was also very good. We went home very satisfied and will definitely come back.

The ambience is also very appealing. The interaction between the teak furnishings and the lamps is very pretty. A restaurant decorated in a typical Indian style with very friendly staff. The food was very generous, served hot and we all enjoyed it fantastically. When ordering you could choose the level of spiciness you wanted. As the number of visitors increased, you noticed that the wait staff had a lot to do and was therefore no longer as present, but that didn't detract from the friendliness. It was an all-round successful evening for us at a fair price. We'll be back soon!!!

I was in Chemnitz for a short vacation and since I like going to Indian restaurants, I took the opportunity to go straight to the Maharaja Palace. The ambience is traditionally Indian and looks very nice. You are warmly welcomed as the staff seem extremely attentive. The boss is very accommodating and has great passion for his restaurant. Super friendly! The food was an absolute highlight and although I have visited many Indian restaurants in Lower Saxony, this one is something very special. The Alu Chana Masala that I ordered was by far the best and most tomatoey curry I have ever been served. The naan was also super fluffy. An absolute recommendation for this restaurant! I'll definitely come back.

In a larger group with 5 children between 5 and 12 we went to a small celebration in the restaurant. We thought it was great that food and drink for the children came very quickly. We adults were able to order at our leisure without any stress. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. Absolutely recommended with and without children!

Wonderful Indian restaurant, we've been coming back for a long time and it's always an experience. The staff is very attentive and always nice and accommodating. The boss is very entertaining and has a brilliant and warm way of reaching people. The food was always very plentiful, really tasty and special requests were always met without any problems. By the way, toilets are always in impeccable hygienic condition. In short: We love coming here and look forward to our next visit.

A real pearl of Indian/Ayurvedic cooking. Here the guest is the focus and is treated with respect. The dishes can be ordered individually in terms of spiciness. This is rare in the Indian restaurant segment. You usually get “European” spiced dishes that have an Indian flavor. So if you want to try spicy, spicy or Indian spicy, you've come to the right place. The mildly spiced dishes are also above-average tasty and exude an individual touch. If you want to enjoy real Indian cuisine, you should definitely treat yourself here.

Where are you going for your birthday dinner... of course to the Maharaja Palace in Chemnitz! Asked for a quiet place and received it, lovingly set and decorated. On top of that, we were greeted with congratulations from the boss himself. As always, the food was mediocre, so 5 stars aren't enough :) The boss takes time for each of his guests and always has time for a chat. We can only recommend this restaurant and would love to come here again and again!
