Magado in Magdeburg

Had dinner yesterday and enjoyed the breakfast buffet today. Everything was very tasty. Something different like casseroles is also on the menu. At breakfast, the egg dishes are freshly made. The staff is very nice and friendly. We will definitely come back when we are in Magdeburg again.

Restaurant review for Magado in Magdeburg During my two-week stay in Magdeburg, I ordered a pizza salami, pizza bread and tiramisu by phone to pick up. So I can only concentrate on these dishes. Ordering by phone was a bit tedious because the lady on the phone wasn't informed about the full menu and often had to ask her colleague, who was fortunately standing next to her, for advice. The location is in a good location and is stylishly furnished, which is a positive thing. Unfortunately I wasn't happy with the food. I know it's hard to rate a pizza when you vacation in Italy every year and have the pizzas there as a reference. The pizza wasn't bad, but far from an authentic Italian pizza. There are now many pizza makers in Germany who offer this quality. The pizza at Magado reminded me of Gustavo Gusto, perhaps with a slight edge in quality. The pizza bread was also rather disappointing and tasted quite bland. The dip that came with it was tasteless and the amount was far too small. The tiramisu was okay, but the ratio between mascarpone and sponge cake was not optimal; there should have been a lot more mascarpone. If you're hungry you can order here, but you shouldn't expect too much. It doesn't taste bad, but it has little in common with a typical Italian pizza or a classic tiramisu. I can't judge what the other dishes are like, but visually the dishes that were brought to other tables looked very appealing. I can imagine that the other dishes are far better than the pizza, as pizza is an art that you have to master.

There is a solid breakfast buffet here at a fair price. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The volume level is significantly lower than in Alex, for example - making it a perfect place for breakfast with friends if you also want to chat.

We went to brunch for the second time today. The brunch was really fantastic! The selection was varied and offered something for every taste, from savory to sweet dishes. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted excellent. The drinks in particular were a highlight - they were not only delicious, but also creative and matched to the selection. An all-round successful experience. We would love to come back! Many thanks to the Magado team. :)

We went to Magado for the first time at the weekend and were not disappointed. The location is nice, the staff is nice. The food was delicious - there was a small greeting from the kitchen beforehand. The portions of the meat plates could be a little larger and more lovingly designed, also due to the sometimes hefty prices. The pizza was really good! We'll be back!

This was our second time eating here and it was delicious! We will probably come back during our stay here in Magdeburg. We were able to eat inside with our little poodle without any problems and the four-legged friend also got something to drink. Very nice and dog friendly here.

We were in the restaurant in the evening and at the breakfast buffet in the morning and we really enjoyed both. Above all, the fried egg that came with breakfast was excellent. The selection at the buffet was very varied and plentiful. The waitresses were always super friendly and the prices were absolutely reasonable. We'd love to come back!

The two of us had breakfast there on a Friday. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we got a very good spot. The breakfast was surprisingly cheap and super tasty. We also found the peace and quiet, even though it became relatively full over time, great. Definitely worth a visit...

Classic, modern and tastes good. A spontaneous visit to Magado, there was the Otto burger. Characterized by a slight spiciness and spicy burger sauce, the burger was rock solid. The meat was fried okay, unfortunately the "special bread" was a normal sesame seed bun. Classic, tasty lasagna. Sufficient portion, served in an earthenware bowl. Panna cotta unfortunately already prepared with a slight refrigerator taste and extremely sweet fruit sauce. Fast service, after the first order there was hardly any demand for further requests etc.

I was there again for breakfast with my girlfriend a few days ago. We made a reservation in advance, but it wasn't necessary as there was still plenty of space during the week. The waitress was friendly, showed us to our seats and immediately asked if we wanted drinks. After filling our plates at the small but extremely tasty buffet, we spontaneously moved to the larger table next to us, which wasn't a problem. The drinks were brought quickly and the freshly prepared scrambled eggs also arrived quickly. Unfortunately I didn't manage to try everything, but I'll go again tomorrow 😜. The kitchen fairy is also very positive - she is always friendly and available to say a few kind words and the food is really good. So a thumbs up for you. Only the toilets should see a repairman - I had the door handle in my hand when I wanted to close the door 🤣. Therefore a point deducted for the ambience.

It was our first time at Magado and we really loved it. The food was great all around, well seasoned, appetizingly prepared and simply incredibly tasty. The service was excellent, very friendly and courteous staff. The food came to the table quickly, not a long wait.

Went to “Magado” for lunch with my partner. We were placed very well and the waitress brought us the menu straight away. We each chose a main course from the extensive menu. As a starter we chose the bruschetta together. Then for my partner the pasta with beef fillet tips in a light tomato cream sauce and I chose the pizza with Mediterranean vegetables as the main course. After ordering, the waitress brought us our drinks straight away. As soon as we knew it, the bruschetta was brought to us. This tasted super delicious. Then our main courses came, my partner really liked the pasta. The tomato cream sauce wasn't too heavy and was well seasoned, and the pasta was still slightly al dente, so it was just right. My vegetarian pizza was simply great. Loose base and the tomato sauce was also quite good. The only point of criticism was that the vegetables on the pizza were cut too large, which made the pizza a little difficult to eat. All in all it was a decent lunch for us. 🍕🍝🍺🥃 Conclusion: the Magado is really recommended. We will definitely go back for dinner.

I was looking for a location for a private celebration with around 20 people and since I have always been very satisfied here, I chose the Magado. The arrangement was quick and uncomplicated and on the corresponding day we had a sufficiently large table in the upper area, where it was nice and quiet so that we could have a good conversation. As far as I could tell, everyone really enjoyed the food and the staff came by regularly to check if any more drinks were needed. From my side there is a clear recommendation and the Magado would also be my first choice for similar events in the future.

We went there for breakfast for the first time in your house. And ? We were very surprised by the offer and the great service from the house. The breakfast is more than sufficient and the price and range of services is great. We were very pleased with the service asking whether everything was OK and whether we had been there before. The staff is super friendly and very chatty and they really take their time when ordering. We were then moved to a larger table, which we really liked because you can see the guest and guests. The breakfast food was very tasty and delicious. We will definitely come back to you. Big PLUS: The peace and quiet in the house was world class, so having breakfast quietly was really relaxing.

We were there for breakfast this morning and had booked the buffet. It was rich and high quality. There were various rolls and also bread. The buffet ranged from healthy, to sweet and savory, to freshly prepared eggs of your choice. Definitely recommended is the homemade potato salad, really tasty. The service was very friendly and helpful. Again any time.

The brunch buffet is a joke. Calling 5m*2m a buffet and then charging a price of over €20 per head is an impudence. In addition, the dishes available in the buffet are tasteless and look unappetizing.

Super tasty buffet. As a vegan, I was brought a generously filled plate with avocado, lettuce, cucumber, tomato and fruit as an alternative. There are generally vegan options such as falafel, beetroot and sweet spreads.

We had lunch with 15 people and it was very nice, the staff was really nice and hard-working, the drinks were delicious and refreshing, there was a little greeting from the kitchen and the food was absolutely amazing, I had the king prawns with spaghetti aglio and was absolutely thrilled - anyone who says it's too expensive has no idea at all

The restaurant is very clean and really neat. The staff are friendly and are happy to advise you on the food. The food is good and the prices are also completely reasonable.

The buffet looked very good and tasty 😋. Everything was fresh and prepared with love. Everyone can find something to eat here. Whether scrambled eggs, chicken, vegetarian pasta, salads and so on... We went to Magado for brunch on a Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. It was the first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. A cozy atmosphere, great and friendly service and good value for money. The dishes prepared tasted great. Keep it up 👍

Unfortunately I'm disappointed, I ordered a potato casserole. This consisted of lukewarm triplets in a cream sauce with some cow's milk cheese (instead of sheep's cheese) gratinated. There were also a few raw spring onions.

Modern ambience with a wide view of the surrounding streets/squares. We were pleased with the midweek brunch option. There was a small selection at the buffet, a bit of everything. By buffet I mean a very good variety. In my opinion, not enough for the price. However, it's understandable, as it was very sparsely busy on our day and an extravagant selection would therefore be exaggerated. But for this small selection, price-performance would have to be reconsidered. Or then go to the bakery/café where you can choose something more special for at least the same price.

Das Essen war sehr gut, sowohl die Vorspeise als auch unsere beiden Hauptgerichte (Pasta bzw. Pizza). Ein Kritikpunkt ist, dass unsere Hauptgerichte serviert wurden, als wir noch nicht mit der Vorspeise fertig waren. Die Dame brachte sie auch nur auf Aufforderung wieder zurück in die Küche; eigentlich wollte sie die Teller schon auf unserem Tisch abstellen. Daher gab es keine Pause zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang. Trotz dieser Panne waren beide Gerichte übrigens noch sehr gut temperiert.

Sunday brunch at Magado was incredibly tasty...:-) great food, great service, simply great!!!

The food was very good and the ambience is also good. Parking spaces are nearby and it is a stone's throw from the tram stop to Magado. Everything was great but the service wasn't good, we sat for ages in front of empty plates and empty glasses. The waitress called and asked for the dessert menu and another quarter of an hour passed before I had to call again for someone to come. Didn't even look in our direction as we walked past. That's no way to make sales! Same game when paying. It wasn't overly crowded either, I have to say that. There was enough time for the waiters to chat. Otherwise we would like to come back because the food is good.

We were there straight away for the breakfast buffet in the morning. Egg as desired, coffee until you drop, nice small talk with the staff and a friendly atmosphere. The fried eggplant/zucchini vegetables picked me up straight away. We will be back!

Yesterday we were celebrating a birthday in Magado with a larger group. The service was great, the food was great, the drinks were great. We felt very, very comfortable! Many thanks again to the boss and all his colleagues! Also for allowing us to sit a little longer! :-)

My husband and I spontaneously wanted to go out for breakfast today because we were both free. We decided on the Magado because we hadn't been there yet. At 9:30 a.m. we were at the table we chose because the restaurant wasn't full. We order twice breakfasts with coffee and fresh mint tea for me. We were really disappointed with the offer. The restaurant had just opened and the buffet was sorted out and wasn't refilled for the next half hour. I waited 25 minutes for my tea The lady who checked in was dressed in a black tunic that was marked by kitchen work. A person also came into the restaurant from the street who went straight to the bar and made himself an espresso without taking off his clothes or washing his hands Unfortunately, our conclusion is that Magado doesn't get a second chance.

Wir haben kurzfristig im hinteren Teil bzw Kaffeezimmer einen Tisch für ca 25 Menschen bekommen und wurden freundlich bedient.

Für alle Kategorien verdiente 5 Sterne.Was aber uns das Essen versüßt hat, war diese mega freundliche Art des Teams. Dafür gibt es volle Empfehlung u danke für den Abend 🙏

Als Veganerin in Magdeburg ist es nicht wirklich einfach frühstücken zu gehen, die meisten Buffets sind wirklich überschaubar bestückt und das ist noch geschönt ausgedrückt. Obwohl an sich große Auswahl in den Supermärkten zu finden ist. Mit diesem Wissen habe ich im Magado einfach mal angerufen und nachgefragt... und das Telefonat mit dem Koch war super! Er schlug vor, das Angebot um Humus, Avokadocreme und Auberginencreme zu ergänzen. Ich war und bin begeistert! Über so viel Offenheit und Entgegenkommen! Das Frühstück war insgesamt sehr gut! Meine omnivore Begleitung fand die Auswahl der Speisen groß. Es hat alles oberlecker geschmeckt und das Personal ist freundlich, schnell und zugewandt. Unbedingte Empfehlung!

Das Fleisch vom Burger war leider etwas trocken. Und für den Preis könnte er auch ein bisschen größer ausfallen.

Sehr schönes Brunchbuffet ,es wurde alles nachgereicht. Getränke haben etwas gedauert aber das Magado war auch sehr gut besucht. Die Gemüse Linsen Pfanne war sehr lecker,die Soße vom Fisch war Mega und der Rinderrücken auf Bohnen hat auch geschmeckt. Wir kommen wieder!

Es hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen. Saßen mit einem Kleinkind direkt vor einer Eingangstür. Der kleine war völlig durchgefroren,da diese ja stets und ständig geöffnet wurde. Große Enttäuschung war auch das Essen. Alle warmen Speisen waren völlig trocken. Auch die Auswahl lässt zu wünschen übrig. Man hätte wenigstens eine Soße mit zur Auswahl haben müssen. Ich kann das Magsdo leider nicht weiter empfehlen.

Preise für den Geschmack und Mengen leider zu hoch, nichts besonderes.. Mitarbeiter könnten auch aus dem Baumarkt stammen. Wenn man oben sitzt hat man selten Kontakt zu ihnen und muss teils ewig warten.

Spontan besucht, super netter Service!! Tolles leckeres Essen!! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir sind spontan zum Frühstück im Magado eingekehrt und waren positiv überrascht. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm, das Personal sehr nett. Das Frühstück gibt's als Buffet, Eier nach Wunsch werden an den Tisch gebracht. Die Auswahl war ausreichend und das Preis -Leistungsverhältnis passt. Wir kommen wieder.

Essen war sehr lecker gewesen. Leider mussten wir über 1h warten nach dem Bestellen das wir unser Essen bekommen haben. Es wurde auch 1 Vorspeise vergessen und nach mehreren Nachfragen wurde die dann gebracht. Auch beim Trinken war der Service nicht wirklich ausreichend gewesen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker . Es hätte wärmer sein können, aber ich glaube das es nicht die Regel ist ,das das Essen kalt ist. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Restaurant ist auf alle Fälle zu empfehlen

Wir waren auf dem weg nach Berlin und leider ist unser Zug ausgefallen und wir mussten eine Stunde auf dem nächsten warten. Also haben wir etwas zum frühstücken gesucht und dieses tolle Restaurant gefunden. Dort gab es ein Frühstücksbrunch mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Die Bedienungen war total freundlich und waren öfter am Tisch und haben gefragt ob es noch was sein darf und ob alles gut ist und für ein kurzen smalltalk haben sie sich auch Zeit genommen. Wir waren sehr begeistert von der Ambiente und besuchen dieses Restaurant nochmal sobald wir wieder in Magdeburg landen

Seit Jahren sind wir regelmäßig Gäste im Magado und es ist immer wieder lecker. Super nettes Personal, angenehmes Ambiente und tolles Essen. Ob Auflauf, Pasta, Lachs oder Burger, alles ist geschmacklich super. Auch der Chef ist super freundlich und Kinder sind herzlich willkommen. Zum Brunch gibt es eine große Auswahl an warmen Speisen aber auch verschiedene Brötchen, Brote, Wurst, Käse und Kuchen/Torten.

War mit meinen Kolleginnen hier, wir hatten jetzt schon unsere Weihnachtsfeier und es war wieder sehr schön und lecker 😋. Dankeschön

War mit Freunden zum Sonntags-Brunch dort. Die Auswahl ist ziemlich groß (nicht riesig, aber gut). Frühstück wie verschiedene warme Mittagsgerichte und ein bisschen was zum Naschen werden angeboten. Ein bisschen fehlte es an Frühstücks-Süßspeisen (z.B. keine Croissants). Aber positiv ist anzumerken, dass es auch ein paar vegetarische Hauptgerichte gab (und "Kaltes" sowieso; mit Salaten, Brötchen und süßen Aufstrichen oder auch Schoko-Pudding, Anti-Pasti.) Vegan gab es eher wenig/ nicht explizit. Die Atmosphäre war - angesichts der Größe - dennoch recht ruhig/ nett/ nicht zu stressig. Das Personal war in jedem Fall sehr nett. Besonders der Chef! Nicht das günstigste Brunch-Angebot in Magdeburg (22,50 Euro p.P. ohne Getränke), aber wohl aktuell leider im normalen Preis-Rahmen... (= alles ist teuer.... d.h. man sollte schon für Frühstück und/ oder v.a. Mittagessen kommen, damit es sich preislich auch lohnt). Das Angebot gibt es (nur) von 10-14 (oder 14:30) Uhr. Andere Restaurants bieten Brunch meines Wissens nach auch bis 16 Uhr an. Insgesamt würde ich das Magado empfehlen... und 4 (bis 4,5) von 5 Sternen geben.

Das beste Sonntagsbrunch-Angebot, dass wir in Magdeburg bisher ausprobiert haben. Definitiv einen Besuch wert. Kostengünstig, reichhaltiges Buffet und sehr lecker!

Wie immer super lecker 😍 Mir war diesmal nur einfach nach Spaghetti pomodore. Perfekt. Und eine super Grappa Empfehlung vom Chef 😉 Ist bei Terminen in Magdeburg einfach Pflicht 👍

Wir haben das Restaurant zu einem späten Frühstück besucht. Das Buffet war noch gut gefüllt. Das Personal war leider nur teilweise aufmerksam, was jedoch durch den aufmerksamen Teil gut ausgeglichen wurde. Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig. Der Preis war angemessen. Es ist durchaus zu empfehlen, hier zum Frühstück einzukehren.

Sehr empfehlenswert Haben das Frühstücksbuffet getestet. Sehr lecker, keine Riesen Auswahl, aber absolut ausreichend. Preis Leistung ist sehr gut. Sehr aufmerksames Personal. Weiter so, bleibt euch treu. Vielleicht ein kleiner Hinweis, ein paar Dinge am Buffet könnte man noch beschildern z.B. bei warmen Speisen & die Schälchen fürs Müsli auch dort hinstellen wo sie gebraucht werden. Ein wenig Deko eventuell noch. Immer einen Besuch wert.

Ich durfte das Restaurant kürzlich für ein Fotoshooting nutzen und war begeistert von der Location und dem tollen Service..! Das Essen ist sehr lecker und auch die Getränke wussten zu überzeugen. Ich habe mich rundum wohl gefühlt..!
