Caution! Be sure to check the bill. There were three of us here. The food was good. The bill was completely wrong. Unfortunately, due to our own carelessness, we ended up paying a good €30 too much. When I got home, I looked at the bill and noticed that we had been charged for something we didn't order. Due to our carelessness, the bill was about €94 and ended up being €128.30.

Reservations are recommended. We found the menu a bit pricey, but the food arrived with a decent portion. The atmosphere is really nice. It's also worth just having a beer at the bar.

Warning: Absolutely unsuitable for vegetarians. The waitress was completely overwhelmed and couldn't deliver our order properly. Everyone at the table had already received their food, but my cheese spaetzle – which I had expressly ordered as a vegetarian dish – arrived much too late. Upon inquiry, it became clear: The dish had apparently been remade at the last minute, as it originally contained bacon – which was apparently not communicated properly. I even joked beforehand and asked where my vegetarian burger was… but the topic isn't actually that funny: There isn't a single fully vegetarian main course on the menu. You'll only find something among the appetizers – which I honestly find outdated. When the cheese spaetzle finally arrived, they were a complete disappointment: They tasted like spaetzle had simply been tossed in cream – no trace of cheese. And all this for €19.50. Honestly, it was a real disappointment. The waitress was generally friendly and noticed that something was wrong, but I was simply too tired to argue that evening. I ate it because I was hungry. My table neighbor also had a problem: Instead of the croquettes he ordered, they served fries – they didn't listen, and they ordered the wrong thing again. My conclusion: Absolutely not recommended for vegetarians. Well-intentioned advice: Find something better.

Nice brewery, centrally located. The beer and food weren't exactly cheap, but they were tasty and good. One more server wouldn't have hurt with so many customers, but the wait time was reasonable.

A brewery with a beer garden in a city where there's not much to see and where the beautiful old houses weren't rebuilt after the war, but instead, entire streets were demolished to make way for wide boulevards lined with large, uniform Stalinist-style cubes. The brewery looks clean, with a small menu featuring things you can eat anywhere.

I'd heard a lot about the brewery from colleagues, so we went here for dinner yesterday. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, but unfortunately, we were totally disappointed with the menu. It lacked the highlights of a brewery, like all kinds of roasts, dumplings, and much more. Knuckle of pork is only available by reservation. The restaurant is okay, but there are much better restaurants in Magdeburg.

Absolutely not recommended for vegetarians! When I asked which dish was vegetarian (all the dishes on the menu were non-vegetarian, except for the appetizers), the waitress said she could make vegetarian cheese spaetzle. Due to a lack of alternatives, I naturally ordered them – for an extremely steep €19.50. When they arrived, they were a complete disaster. You can't really call them cheese spaetzle. They were spaetzle with cream and minimal cheese. I didn't have any onions or any other delicacies and thought to myself: My goodness... I strongly suspect the kitchen here is overwhelmed with vegetarian dishes. Besides, several mistakes were made with the other dishes as well. I didn't complain – we really had a long day and I didn't feel like complaining. Besides, reading the reviews is pointless anyway. I know that might not interest anyone here at the brewery, where there are no vegetarian dishes. Still, I think we're no longer in the Stone Age—it's somehow considered good manners to have some vegetarian options on the menu these days. My evening was definitely very expensive and unsatisfying to the max. Not a nice end to a long day at work.

The food tasted very good, but unfortunately the cheeseburger had almost no cheese and the burger bun was cold. But the cozy brewery atmosphere and the nice beer garden were great.

2-3 Kellner für zwei volle Etagen. Da kann das Personal nur überfordert sein. Wir haben 40 Minuten auf das erste Getränk und 1 1/2 bis 2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet. Das Essen war in Ordnung aber auch keine Glanzleistung. Nicht zu empfehlen!

A very nice brewery. The prices for main courses are quite high, but the food is very tasty. There's schnitzel, burgers, currywurst, etc., something for everyone. A seasonal menu is also available.

The number of vegetarian dishes is very manageable, but what would you expect from a brewery. The service could be a little more attentive. Sometimes you've been sitting there hungry or high and dry for a long time, and that definitely shouldn't happen in a brewery.

We were in Magdeburg for a group of men (age ~40). The location was chosen because it was relatively central to where we lived. Unfortunately the city is relatively dead in the evening. Comparable to Paderborn. No bar scene, none or just one bar where you could have danced. The restaurant here was good. The service is attentive and quick. He knows the food well and will also advise you if you have any questions. Unfortunately I wasn't hungry and only ordered the lard with bread, but I also tried the others. The food was very good. The portions are large. The beer is cold.

Were there with several people in December. We would have to wait over 20 minutes for our drinks. I found that really remarkable and then waited just over an hour for our food. Once and unfortunately never again!

It was cozy, the food came quickly, the service was very nice, the food was tasty (typical brewery) and attractively presented. The dessert (crème brulée) was incredibly tasty and a dream.

Top. Very good restaurant. Very tasty food, nice staff and good selection. The price-performance ratio is right.

We are there every year before Christmas. This year we were unfortunately disappointed with the service. We didn't even ask if everything was OK, if we wanted anything else, if it tasted good... I also expect that you will be offered a high chair if you see that there is a baby with you. It's a shame, we're used to it differently.

Very nice restaurant. I like the dark beer

For the first time I'm reviewing a restaurant without having been there! Sounds strange? But it's not. We chose this location from the Google reviews. Went there on foot in the pouring rain. According to Google they open at 4pm. Arriving there hungry and expectant, we read a note on the front door that said it wasn't open until 5 p.m. today. There was no justification for this. We accepted this because we didn't want to look for a new restaurant now. Went through the constant rain to a coffee shop and waited there for the longed-for opening. Were at the entrance to the restaurant at 5:00 p.m., but it was still locked. After opening late, we were told that the kitchen would not open until an hour later ... I'm sure everyone can imagine that we were blown away by this! This happened to us for the first time. It's a mystery to us why people ignore the opening times listed on Google. Apparently it's not that important to be there for your customers. Don't want to experience that again! Really bad business practice!

LausitzAngels on Tour Unser Ziel war in diesem Jahr Magdeburg. Am 30. Oktober 2024 - die Ankunft aus verschiedenen Ländern Deutschlands. Freudiges Wiedersehen, Hunger und Durst unendlich groß, also zogen wir „7“ gutgelaunt mal los. „Hummels Brauhaus“ fanden wir auf unserem Weg und entschieden uns zum Einkehrschwung. Zwei nette Kellnerinnen sofort vor Ort. Wir wurden platziert und brauchten nicht wieder fort. Nun nahm der Abend seinen Lauf. Leckeres Bier, Wein, Drinks, schmackhaftes Essen und schon hatten wir die Zeit vergessen. Das „Brauhaus“ mit tollem Ambiente, mit sehr nettem Personal und für kleine Späßchen jederzeit bereit. Fazit, rund um ein wunderbarer Abend! Nicht nur einmal kehrten wir hier ein, denn die Speisen, Getränke und das tolle Team gingen uns nicht aus dem Sinn. Wunderschöne Stunden verbrachten wir im „Hummels Brauhaus“ und erinnern uns gern daran zurück. Wir möchten auch nicht vergessen, dass Magdeburg eine wunderschöne Stadt ist, also eine Reise wert. Danke sagen wir: Zur lieben Michelle, Jasmin, Fabi, Daniel, Udo, Philipp, Armanelo und Paul. Wir empfehlen dieses Brauhaus gerne weiter, denn hier passt einfach alles. Vielleicht kommen wir mal wieder und finden dieses tolle Team noch vor.

We almost didn't get to enjoy it at all because... Everything was reserved for the 7th anniversary. But the boss made it possible and we got delicious beer (especially the Kellerbier) & schnitzel & burgers. Nice courteous service.

Were there on Friday evening for the first and last time. Burger without fries for €18 is a challenge, unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. Not the most toasted bun, according to the advertisement it had sesame but there was no sign of it. Then an extra 3.90 for fries!?!? You can get stuck! Bruschetta was okay. 2 different portion sizes of cheese spaetzle... it was probably delicious. Service didn't know anything about everything, for example that there was olive schnapps. The location is beautiful, you're desperately looking for a concept, even though it dictates the name! What's a disco ball doing in a brewery? Or dream catcher?

We came here to grab a bite to eat and drink a beer. We can recommend Soljanka, Obatzda and Würzfleisch. We enjoyed it very much. Beer is general, always a matter of taste. For fans of top-fermented beer, please order the Lausitzer Porter. Very tasty. The fresh dark country beer was also to our liking. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost completely booked. Luckily for us, there was a small table for us. The order was still received quickly. After a short wait, the things we ordered were on our table.

Steak was rancid and the second dry aged steak was even worse. Service was very good and the ambience was legendary. Would come back just to drink.

Die reinste Katastrophe. Wir hatten ein Geschäftsessen mit 45 Personen. Service miserable, Getränke waren ständig leer und keiner kam. Essen nach 2 Stunden Wartezeit. Für den Preis der Schnitzel sehr schlechte Fleischqualität. Es hat uns leider allen nicht gefallen und der krönende Abschluss war noch, dass 2 Leute von uns 2 l Bier in den Nacken vom Kellner bekommen hatten und triefend nass waren. Es kam vom Brauhaus leider nichts als Entschädigung. Weder ein Kaffee oder Dessert als Entschuldigung. Leider nie wieder.

We ate the Magde "Burger", very tasty. The beer is great too. Recommendation food drink👍. We sat pretty much on the edge of the beer garden. Unfortunately, we weren't noticed despite empty glasses and hand announcements. A waitress rarely came to the place. Only the seats next to the door were served regularly.

Overpriced with poor quality. Schnitzel was a molded schnitzel from the freezer. Sauces oily and fatty. Some of the staff are very unfriendly and don't roll their eyes in an accommodating manner.

Great service, super friendly, but the food was inedible and cold. The so-called “grill buffet” looked very inviting, but for €25 I expected a little more, especially the meat was freshly prepared and not served cold. Children pay the same price as adults, which is outrageously expensive.

Very original with real East German dishes

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio regarding the food is not right. I ordered the cheese spaetzle and was disappointed: old lettuce as decoration on the edge and the spaetzle tasted old. The children's meals are too high at €15.

So the adulation here can't come from guests. For us – never again. The schnitzel was bland and soft instead of brown and crispy, but at least it was still hot. The beef roulade was just warm but consisted of 80% minced meat filling and my hamburger for €17.50 (+ fries €22) was colder on the inside than on top. After complaining, I got the cut burger back, probably from the microwave. Now it was hot, hard and dry on top, warm on the inside and as cold on the bottom as it had been at the beginning. Thank you for our “nice” birthday meal for €100. My son's birthday was March 14th. 1-2 days later. What else is supposed to “not fit together?” I'll give you more info if you'd like. And e.g. The criticism of the hamburgers and bland schnitzels doesn't seem to be my sole criticism either. I would have preferred not to respond at all, but I find it very strange to present real criticism as untrue.

Wir haben das Brauhaus zum Abendessen aufgesucht, da es eine ordentliche Küche versprach und in der Nähe zum Hotel lag. Ds wir früh dran waren, brauchten wir keine Reservierung, sonst würde ich dies empfehlen. Wir haben das „Steak au four“ (mit Käse und Würzfleisch überbackenes Schweinesteak) mit Brauhaus-Pommes als Beilage gewählt. Schmackhaft und keine brauhaustypische Großportion, das nächste Mal würde ich eine Vorspeise nehmen. Die Karte zeichnet sich durch zahlreiche Burgervarianten aus, da scheinen die Stärken der Küche zu liegen. Das Bier schmeckte ebenfalls.

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right. The girls are friendly, no question. However, there is only a shrug of the shoulders when a late-night question about food comes up. I had a seam chicken burger myself. A trendy cold roll without sesame. Very bland. Nothing fresh about salad. Just an indefinable sauce. I ate half of it because I... was hungry. Too bad. The ambience is ok for a bar like this. I thought the cutlery was nice. It was elegant and actually clean. Unfortunately you don't have that often in MD either. A greeting to the kitchen, there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to taste and quality. But the service is absolutely fine!

My son made a reservation here on Friday. It is rustic and comfortably furnished. The staff was super friendly and responded to special requests without any problem. The food was very tasty, good portions. Price performance was ok, today everything has become more expensive. We had a lovely evening and would love to come back.

We sat in the beer garden, which was rustic and beautifully and harmoniously decorated. The service was very attentive, friendly and always willing to have a joke. The food, schnitzel with asparagus, potatoes and hollandaise was very tasty. Unfortunately the portion size wasn't manageable - we left a little potato and a bite of schnitzel on our plates. We would love to come back, highly recommended.

A big movie theater. Practically a week before Mother's Day you get a call saying that your confirmed reservation has been canceled because you've just decided not to open on Sundays anymore. You can do it, but that's not how you make friends.

Great brewery in the city not far from the Allee Center, with really good and tasty cuisine and tasty, drinkable beers. The really friendly service and the ambience offered should be highlighted. We really enjoyed everything and the feeling of hospitality came across as warm. After we had been dismissed coldly and rudely at the "Prager Wenzel" shortly before, we were all the more pleased with the friendly welcome here without a reservation. 5 stars, a real recommendation and always happy again! Update April 2024: Friday evening, but there were still only a few guests. Service very friendly as before, this time a seat with a view of the bar. And oops, the beer from the foam glass is used to fill up subsequent orders. When I was younger, I helped out in my own relatives' pub, but that was frowned upon and no guest was supposed to see it. And that is also understandable. By the way, I still see it that way today, really tapping isn't even like that...; The prices on the menu have risen noticeably, I think a flame burger with fries on the side for €22 is quite sporty despite the nice atmosphere and the otherwise delicious beer - but each guest has to decide that for themselves. Conclusion: Still recommended and good, but deducted from the B grade, too expensive for me for the quality and quantity of the dishes ordered, in relation to competitors and the location in Magdeburg.

Einmal ist keinmal, nach einigen Monaten nun mein zweiter Besuch im Brauhaus Hummel. Denn es gibt in Magdeburg tatsächlich kein zweites Lokal ähnlicher Art, das eine authentisch, nostalgische Brauhausatmosphäre bietet. Die Stimmung und Ausstattung erinnert mich sehr an den Gastrobetrieb meiner Grosseltern, was mir gefällt. Die Bedienung ist schnell und sehr freundlich, der Gast fühlt sich willkommen. Das Bier vom Fass schmeckt vorzüglich. Der bestellte Burger kommt bald, die Pommes Frites sind ausgezeichnet. Der Burger hingegen, der schlägt keine kulinarischen Wellen. Die Sauce überzeugt mich zwar, aber das Fleisch lag etwas zu lange auf dem Grill oder in der Pfanne. Das Brötchen überzeugt zwar in Form und Grösse, nicht aber in Geschmack und Konsistenz. Die abschliessende Crème Brulée bringt den etwas enttäuschten Gaumen wieder in Laune. Mein Resumé muss nun etwas differenziert ausfallen, ich biete: - vier Sterne für das Lokal, die Ambiente, die Bedienung, das Bier, die Pommes und Crème Brulée - drei Sterne für den Burger Somit nach meiner Gewichtung als Gesamtbewertung: vier Sterne
