Super delicious food, it's some of the best Thai food I've had.

Unfortunately, the food isn't authentic at all. For example, Pas Krapao is served without a single piece of basil, which is the main flavor component of the dish.

no frills, affordable, and exactly what i want from an imbiss. cash only, take out or eat in (limited seating) and true neukölln staple.

It’s a very small humble place with great pad Thai, (maybe other good dishes too), but I’ve only ever ordered the pad Thai. The price is also completely reasonable. I always go back now and then.

Solid Thai snack bar with an authentic menu. Phat Thai with duck was very tasty 😋 Unfortunately, the space available is very limited, but it probably can't be done any other way at this location. Still recommended 👍😀

The pad thai was really crazy, and the red curry was also really crazy. The amount is quite large. You can taste the spices just right, and when you take a bite, it's a taste that makes you smile. The curry is also really crazy... It doesn't seem to have anything special in it, but it's this delicious? It was a place where I wanted to review each menu item one by one.

I was persuaded to come here by the good reviews. However, after eating, I must side with the minority opinion, as all I could taste in my Pad Thai was ketchup. As I don't like ketchup, that made it quite unpleasant. People who like/love ketchup will probably have a great time here. The staff were very nice.

Wow. Very very tasty. I had 29, rice with tofu and curry, paid 8.5 euros.

I ordered the Massaman had an authentic Thai flavor that took me straight to the heart of Thailand. The richness of the curry, combined with perfectly cooked potatoes and tender chicken, made every bite a delight the rice felt small but ok. You can tell the aunties in the kitchen know exactly what they’re doing, bringing traditional flavors with a homemade touch. The balance of spices, sweetness, and creaminess was spot on definitely a dish made with love and experience.

Unfortunately it has deteriorated massively in the last 1-2 years. The chicken meat in particular tastes like nothing. Pad Thai sticks together completely and the taste has also deteriorated considerably. Tofu is also probably the cheapest from the wholesale market. I would also be willing to pay a higher price for more quality. Unfortunately, it is no longer authentic Thai cuisine. However, the staff is very friendly

Very small and simple place with good food. This place is very small, there's barely space inside, except for ordering. They only take cash and you pay as you order. The food was simple but good—what I expected from street food style. It was well prepared and served very fast. This is not the kind of place I'd get out of my way to visit, but a very good option if you are in the area and fancy something simple.

The Thai food here is amazing. I recommend trying all the dishes. The rice is really good. And it's cheap.

Pad Thai is good, but I don't know why the ladies are so unfriendly. Last time she looked at me and smashed the dish on the counter with a serious face without saying anything. Also almost every time I go there they raise the prices. So have to reduce 3 stars.

We ordered the pad thai with chicken, and it was actually very good. It felt authentic. The service is not very friendly and they do not speak any English. But beyond that, the food is very good.

Authentic, delicious, cheap. We went as a large group and ordered different dishes. We found the food incredibly tasty. You will definitely be full. The prices are reasonable. There is also a really great, warm atmosphere there. You feel good. Unfortunately, the seats go quickly.

The meals are tasty for the price, and still affordable. But you may not find a place to sit during peak hours, so rather consider take out.

The ladies that assist here are super nice, the price is really affordable for the amount of food they give. The taste is good, it can be better, but it's understandable. Drinks are a bit high on price, but it is also understandable. I can see myself returning here if i want something different one day.

My favorite Thai place in Berlin

We had Pad Thai and spring rolls today and live right around the corner. When we walked past the food always made a good impression. But it's a complete disappointment. Pad Thai consists only of noodles, some chicken, a touch of sauce and a few bamboo shoots. Never again!

Very small and fine shop. There are no more than three small tables. Food is breathtakingly good!

Unfortunately the pad thai was too sweet and less flavorful than expected. The ketchup was the dominating flavour. I missed also some crunchy peanuts bits that are normally served with the pad thai.

I was always enthusiastic about the good Pad Thai, but that's no longer the case today. Totally sweet and tomato ketchup are the only two things I can taste! A pity!

Honest Thai women who will prepare you an outstanding Pad Thai and other Thai dishes. Small, cute snack bar with a few seats outside, but is perfect for to-go.

Real Padthai here from a Thai person review. If I want to eat glass noodle Padthai I always come here. I think it is a bit r-c*st to say it tastes like ketchup on some review. Hmm tamarind maybe, but ketchup.. wow

Despite the fact that the cafe has very little place to dine in, I go there with a great pleasure and don’t mind to wait in a queue or to take out. Portions are huge and prizes low!!!

The portions are big and the food is delicious! 🙂

Hmm, I was very pleasantly surprised. The shop doesn't look like much on the outside, and some of the food looks rather inconspicuous - but it really tastes very good. This is more than worth its (fairly low) price. Well, the seating is a bit cramped and uncomfortable, but there's nothing better in the area for a quick lunch. I will come here more often.

Thai style snack. Large portions, fair price. Depending on how you feel on the day, food ranges between good and average.

8€ for a pad thai that is not much more than noodles with ketchup? Stay away from this place!

Generous portions and cute atmosphere. However, no hint of coriander in my curry, let alone copious amounts of fresh coriander on top. I didn't taste lemongrass, either, a little bland. Pad Thai has no real crunch. Didn't bowl me over and no match to street food in Thailand.

Tiny little Imbiss with tasty food. Have to wait for about 15 mins plus most of the times, but the wait is always worth it.

Mae Chaeron has to be one of my favourite places to eat in Berlin and in Neukölln especially. Great food, super quick, not expensive at all (especially for the quantity, sometimes it's like two meals) and miles better than most Asian restaurants around the same price point. It can be tough to get a place to sit there sometimes, but if you're getting something to go, it's always a good shout. The Kau Pat (fried rice) is my personal favourite but the Pad Thai is fantastic and so are all the curries, soups and the menu in general. I've probably been there 50+ times at this point and it rarely, if ever, disappoints. Huge thank you to the Thai aunties of Sonnenallee - we love you!

Hab mir hier grünes Curry bestellt und wurde nicht entäuscht, auch wenn es nicht ganz an die Thai-Schärfe herankommt. Es war aber schön cremig und hatte eine leichte Würze. Der Laden selber ist sehr klein und man bekommt zur Mittagszeit eher keinen freien Tisch, also drauf einstellen zum Mitnehemn zu bestellen.

Vermutlich beliebt weil es recht günstig ist, aber mit echtem Thai food hat das so gar nix zu tun. Weder lecker noch authentisch. ไม่อร่อย ไม่เหมือนกับประเทศไทย ผัดกะเพราไม่มีกะเพรา 555

Wir haben zu zweit eine Suppe (Tom Kha Gai) einen Rindfleischsalat und Ente mit rotem Curry gehabt. Die Suppe war geschmacklich gut, nur aus unerfindlichen Gründen sehr süß. Der Salat war schön scharf und lecker. Die Ente war leider fast ungenießbar - das Fleisch war alt und wurde in Scheiben geschnitten nochmal frittiert - die Farbe war zwischen graubraun und schwarz - und man hat deutlich die Fasern gesehen (ähnlich Jahresringe bei einem Baum 😵‍💫) Auch der Curry war leider sehr süß und kein bisschen scharf. Natürlich ist mir klar, dass bei einem Preis von 9€ kein NeulandFleisch drin sein wird, aber dieses Fleisch war einfach alt, das hat man auch geschmeckt. Wahrscheinlich lebt der Laden wirklich vom Preis und von den guten Bewertungen von vor 6-8 Jahren .... wir kommen nicht wieder - von uns keine Empfehlung 🫤

Came for the good reviews, found many people eating outside and inside, the atmosphere was awesome with cute German „Bier-Sitzbänken“. Chicken Pad Thai was ok, not the best to be honest, but the three old Thai ladies cooked it - so it was adorable.

ASIAN-APPROVED! Pad thai tastes... right! Well, except not spicy enough, but there's a selection of chili sauce/oils to sort that out, PHEW. The salad was good spice though! Not enough peanuts or cilantro for the pad thai, but we just asked her and she delivered =) Portion sizes great, not skimpy with the topping (ie. plenty of egg / tofu / prawn / whatever you ordered) and the price is right. Not too long of a wait. I would just complain about the styrofoam takeout boxes =((((( Otherwise yes, I come back! Bring your own food container!

Echte Thailänder, schon mal 5 Sterne brauchte Extra Portion Reis, da etwas wenig im Teller, es gab viel für 2 Euro, daher noch 4 Sterne, Service nicht besonders freundlich,ok. Keinerlei Rechnung, alles schwarz, ok, Hygiene 2 Punkte leider. Schmutzig, Fleisch wird nicht richtig gewaschen,Tische schmutzig, Teller oberflächlich gereinigt etc etc. Preis zwar gut,4 Punkte bis auf den Reis, jedoch fehlt es komplett an den typischen Kräutern und Thai Aroma, Dann doch lieber 1 Euro mehr verlangen und Ingwer,Thai Basilikum, Chiilis etc.verwenden, nicht nur Fertigpaste.

After reading about the amazing Pad Thai, my boyfriend and I had to go check it for ourselves. We had a portion each, with shrimp, and the serving size is pretty big and there’s a good amount of shrimp. I kept eating and eating and thought the food wouldn’t dwindle down! I had to pack mine up to eat the rest at home so good prices for good serving sizes; check! Now, I don’t even think I had had Pad Thai before but my boyfriend loves Thai food and is pretty well versed on his love of the cuisine. We both were a little uncertain of how we felt about the food for the first few bites. I think I had been influenced by the reviews saying it tasted like noodles with ketchup and I could initially understand why they were saying that. There’s a sweetness there but I think it’s still a very ignorant way to describe the flavor of the food. After we got a few more bites in with the ingredients mingling, the lime juice on top, it all came to together and we loved it. I loved it for what it was (since I have no point of reference) and my boyfriend also loved it for being a great Pad Thai. Check! It’s a hole in the wall with limited seating so eat and go, pack it up and go, or bring your own Tuperware like I saw someone do. They move fast and practically all customers were ordering the Pad Thai. We got two portions, a coconut drink, and a Coke, and I think it cost 22€.

Meine lieben thaiomas! Jedoch schmeckt es mittlerweile sehr sehr lieblos! Maße statt klasse! Echt schade! Vor einigen Jahren DER Geheimtipp in berlin, mittlerweile leider echt nicht mehr lecker! Ich werd die nächsten Monate sicher nicht mehr vorbeischauen! Schade!

Other than the Pad Thai Noodles, everything else tastes pretty average. Soup and curry was too salty for my tastebud. Price is reasonable but they only accept cash.
