Empfehlenswert. Die Pasta ist köstlich. Die Croissants sind zu süß.

Ich liebe diesen Ort und besuche ihn immer, wenn ich in der Nähe von Xberg bin. Nettes Team, authentische Aromen – absolut empfehlenswert!

Es war für die Portionsgröße zu teuer.

Das Essen war köstlich und alle Angestellten waren so freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Restaurant hat ein modernes Ambiente, wirkt aber gleichzeitig sehr authentisch und gemütlich. Man merkt, dass ihnen ihr Lokal wirklich am Herzen liegt, und gutes Essen ist hier der Inbegriff von Fürsorge. Ich bin super gelaunt aus dem Restaurant gegangen, weil das Essen so lecker war – absolut empfehlenswert! Und die Gegend drumherum ist total süß.

Authentisch? Ja, vielleicht. Die Atmosphäre ist ungezwungen (auch authentisch). Kein Schnickschnack bei Stühlen und Deko, einfach Plastikhocker und Metalltisch, typisch asiatische Drei-Wand-Küche (so ein kleines, unscheinbares Restaurant, das ich mag). Aber überteuert. Einfaches Nasi Lemak (ohne Rendang, ohne Hähnchen) kostet 14 Euro. (Fleischbeilagen kosten 4 Euro extra.) Vor drei Jahren kostete das ganze Menü etwa 14,50 Euro. Das war akzeptabler. Aber jetzt 18 Euro, das ist zu viel, sorry.

Leider ein enttäuschender Besuch. Zunächst waren Gerichte auf der (schlanken) Karte nicht verfügbar. Dann wurden alle Getränke vergessen (ohne Entschuldigung, ohne Wiedergutmachung), dann wurde der Salat vergessen. Bis zum Servieren der Speisen dauerte es ca. 30 Minuten bei mittelstarkem Gästeaufkommen. Während der Wartezeit im Außenbereich wurden wir von mehreren Menschen angesprochen, was allerdings an der Gegend liegt und schwer vermeidbar ist. Auch die Bezahlung war mehrere Minuten nicht möglich, weil das Wifi ausgefallen war. Qualität und Geschmack der Speisen waren recht gut, sodass mehr als ein Stern gegeben werden kann.

Köstlich! Auch vegane Optionen! Und so niedlich!

Der gesalzene Butterkaffee war interessant, und der Eistee Yuanyang war im Grunde ein koffeinhaltiger Milchtee ohne Boba (ziemlich lecker). Das Essen war okay. Die Hainan-Hühnersuppe war gut, aber es war zu wenig Hühnchen drin. Die Reisnudeln waren erfrischend (wie ein kalter Salat), aber nicht sättigend. Das gebratene Hähnchen war in Ordnung, und die Portion Hühner-Rendang-Curry war genau richtig, wenn man nicht so hungrig ist und alles teilt. Das Highlight dieses Restaurants sind definitiv die Getränke!

Jedes Mal, wenn ich hierher komme, erinnert mich das so sehr an Singapur. Das Essen ist köstlich und authentisch, der Service und der Besitzer super freundlich, und ich fühle mich hier jedes Mal einfach wohl. Danke, dass es euch gibt! <3

Sehr freundliches Personal, fantastisches Essen.

Wir hatten Nasi Lemak mit dem Rendang Curry, und das Kayak Toast. Beides soooo, so lecker! Die Pandan Creme hätte für meinen Geschmack noch etwas kräftiger nach Pandan schmecken können, aber es war trotzdem suuuper lecker! Und das Curry, oh mein Gott! Es hat sooo rich geschmeckt, wir waren total begeistert!! Getränke auch toll :)

Das Essen war perfekt! Einziger tip vielleicht: das Ei in Bio-Qualität zur Wahl? Ich war so begeistert, dass ich nach zwei Tagen zurückkam und wieder dort aß. Der Service war exzellent und sehr aufmerksam. Punkte muss ich leider abziehen, da das Servicepersonal kaum Deutsch sprach bzw. verstand. Für mich ist das kein Problem. Hier denke ich einfach an Gäste, die der englischen Sprache nicht mächtig sind. Es gibt zwar eine deutsche Speisekarte, aber wenn man Fragen hätte, könnten diese nicht beantwortet werden.

Ich habe das Kaya-Set mit einem Kopi Kosong probiert. Hätte ich das in Singapur bekommen, hätte ich mich absolut nicht beschwert. Ich bin total happy, in Berlin einen Ort gefunden zu haben, wo ich meinen Kopi-Durst stillen kann. Verdammt lecker!

Wir haben hier köstlich gegessen. Ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis! Das Tofu Goreng und das Ayam Rendang waren perfekt zubereitet.

Fantastisches Essen und viel Liebe zum Detail mit einzigartigen Variationen typischer Singapur-Gerichte. Fühlt sich an wie zu Hause.

Es war ein wunderbares Erlebnis. Wir haben gerade gegessen, und alles war köstlich; außerdem war der Service hervorragend. Man half uns bei allen unseren Fragen – und das immer mit einem Lächeln.

Das beste Restaurant in Singapur, in dem ich je gegessen habe. Die Gerichte sind wirklich interessant und unbedingt einen Versuch wert. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die marinierten Chicken Wings. Auch der Kaffee mit Kondensmilch und gesalzener Butter ist ein absolutes Muss – einfach himmlisch! Das Personal war zudem äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich, immer mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht.

Einfach unglaublich leckeres, hausgemachtes Essen, frisch zubereitet. Unsere wunderbare spanische Kellnerin Jude war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben alles getan, um uns drinnen unterzubringen, obwohl wir ursprünglich lieber draußen essen wollten, was uns das Wetter aber leider erschwerte. Das Essen war absolut top, und wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt.

Unser Abendessen heute war fantastisch! Die Gerichte schmeckten sehr authentisch, und das Personal war freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir aßen Satay, Ikan Bakar, Nasi Lemak und Ayam Rendang und haben es sehr genossen. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, Google Maps zu öffnen und dort „makan“ zu besuchen. Der Teh Tarik war auch sehr gut. Vielen Dank!

Als Singapurerin kann ich bestätigen, dass das Essen hier authentisch singapurisch schmeckt! Es gibt zwar nur eine kleine, ausgewählte Speisekarte, aber jedes einzelne Gericht ist hervorragend zubereitet. Ein echter Geheimtipp, den man unbedingt besuchen sollte! Wir hatten das Glück, die Laksa vor der Aktualisierung der Speisekarte probieren zu können, und sie war superlecker. Auch Tahu Goreng, Nasi Lemak und Hühnchenreis waren erstklassig! Man merkt, dass viel Wert auf den authentischen Geschmack gelegt wurde. Unbedingt probieren!

Einer meiner Lieblingsorte! Köstliches Hainan-Hühnchenreis, Laksa und auch tolle Getränke – ich liebe den Kokos-Pandan-Latte. Besonders empfehlenswert ist das Pandan-Croissant am Wochenende.

Als Malaysier kann ich sagen, dass die Speisen und Getränke hier gut sind und mir ein Gefühl von Heimat vermitteln. Obwohl der Geschmack etwas abgemildert wurde, um dem lokalen Gaumen gerecht zu werden, schmeckt es mir so gut, dass ich gerne wiederkommen möchte.

Ein herausragender Ort, der eine eklatante kulinarische Lücke in Berlin schließt und noch vieles mehr bietet. Unglaublich herzlich und einladend mit liebenswürdigem Personal, fantastischer Essensqualität – und hat schon jemand das phänomenale Personal erwähnt? Ein absolutes Muss, vielen Dank!

Erstmal vielen Dank für euren tollen Service. Die Dame, die uns den ganzen Abend bedient hat, war wirklich sehr lieb. Sie hat sich große Mühe gegeben, unser Essen pünktlich zum Fastenbrechen zu bringen. Das Essen insgesamt fanden wir sehr lecker. Für mich war es das erste Mal, dass ich Nasi Lemak probiert habe. Beim nächsten Mal werde ich allerdings etwas anderes bestellen, da es geschmacklich nicht ganz mein Favorit war. Das Essen war in Ordnung, obwohl wir die originale Hainan-Sauce (die braune) erwartet hatten. Der Service war jedoch schlecht – wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen und mussten lange warten.

Ein toller Ort, um malaiisches/singapurisches Fast Food zu probieren. Laksa zum Beispiel – und ja, es war köstlich! Es schmeckt in kühlerem Klima sogar noch besser als in der tropischen Hitze. Mein Mann hatte das klassische Hainan-Hühnchenreis mit einer kleinen Schüssel Hühnerbrühe, und auch er fand es sehr lecker. Die Einrichtung ist nostalgisch und persönlich. Man fühlt sich wie in einer anderen Zeit – gemütlich und intim. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Absolut empfehlenswert für eine gute Schüssel Laksa!

Ich war dort zum Mittagessen und wurde sofort vom Inhaber herzlich empfangen. Der Service war fantastisch. Die Gerichte waren authentisch und haben mich an Zuhause erinnert. Alles war preiswert. Das Essen hat etwas gedauert, aber Perfektion braucht eben ihre Zeit. Einfach super! Ich komme bei meinem nächsten Berlin-Besuch auf jeden Fall wieder! ❤️❤️

Schönes kleines Restaurant mit offener Küche in der die Speisen frisch zubereitet werden. Authentische Gerichte. Sehr lecker. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Das Einzige, was nicht gut war, man muss seine Kreditkarte angeben bei der Tischreservierung und es werden pro Person 15€ Kaution auf der Karte geblockt nur für eine Tischreservierung. Das steht in keinem Verhältnis.

Ich bin extra quer durch die Stadt gefahren, um in dieses Restaurant zu kommen, obwohl mir gesagt wurde, ich bräuchte keine Reservierung. Ich kam 30 Minuten vor Ladenschluss an und mir wurde gesagt, sie würden früher schließen, weil sie „unterbesetzt“ seien. Das Restaurant war aber noch voll und ich war der einzige Gast. Sehr enttäuschend.

Gleich vorweg ich fand den Service außergewöhnlich gut, unglaublich aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich und das obwohl der Laden bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt war und draußen schon eine Schlange stand. Wir hatten Vor. - Haupt und Nachspeise und jedes Gericht sowie die Getränke haben hervorragend geschmeckt und trotz des hohen Gästeaufkommens gab es keine lange Wartezeit. Ich bin total begeistert von diesem Restaurant! 🤩 Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich, die Bedienung superfreundlich und das Essen unglaublich lecker. Mein Freund und ich haben die Nyonya-Auberginen-Laksa probiert, und sie war mit Abstand das Beste, was wir seit Langem gegessen haben. 🍜 Und dann war da noch der Sago-Pudding zum Nachtisch … mmm 🤤 … so etwas habe ich noch nie gegessen. Er war super zart, genau richtig süß und ist mir einfach auf der Zunge zergangen. Ein wahrer Genuss! Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem wärmstens empfehlen und werde natürlich selbst auch wiederkommen – und zwar mehr als einmal! 🤗💯

Es fühlte sich an wie in einem Hawker Center. Alle Gerichte waren perfekt zubereitet. Ich bestellte Pandan-Kaya-Buttertoast, gebratenen Tofu und Nasi Lemak. Das Sambal war der absolute Hammer! Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! 🤤🫶🏼😚

Die Laksa war perfekt für ein Essen an einem kalten Tag, obwohl sie im Sommer sicher genauso gut geschmeckt hätte. Die vegane Auberginen-Laksa war einfach unglaublich lecker, und die Kellner waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und haben sich gut um unsere relativ große Gruppe gekümmert.

Super freundlich und der beste Kaya-Toast überhaupt!!! Alles war einen Versuch wert, auch wenn es nicht ganz so scharf sein konnte, wie ich es mir gewünscht hätte. Absolut empfehlenswert!

We were lucky to come when it was the Laksa week. It was my first introduction to Malasyan and Singaporean cuisine. And it was very delicious. As a starter we took deep fried tofu that was also amazing.

Warm service in a very cute decor, the tofu starter is huge and great for the price! I though got disappointed by the chicken curry with nearly no meet or vegetable in it for 15.9€ (couldn't find a picture that looked like it here) and feeling overly gassy afterwards 😮‍💨

We tried some starters and a main here but I have to say the food is overpriced for what it is. 8. Euros for a small plate of chard in chili sauce is not good value. Also, the main had a bunch of rice with a fried egg and a v small amount of toppings. The taste is good but it's basically glorified/overpriced street food. Some of the foods we went there for were no longer on the menu (mushroom congee). 3 stars because the service was good.

This place is one of Berlin's culinary gems. There is no bad menu option, though my favourites are the Laksa, the Chicken Wings and the Tauhu Goreng. Perfect blends of flavours and textures. And the staff are lovely and so helpful! Support local women-led Berlin businesses!

After spending a year in Berlin, I finally found a place that truly captures the taste and feel of home – authentic Mee Laksa just like in Malaysia! The flavors were spot on – rich, spicy, and comforting. The shop’s setting immediately transported me back to Malaysia, with its familiar decor and casual vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find such a genuine Malaysian food spot in Berlin, and this one absolutely nails it. Updates: Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident. According to other comments, this kind of "dismissal" occurs frequently. Furthermore, "Asian-owned" isn't an argument. Discrimination can also occur within Asian communities. Moreover, the waitress in question wasn't Asian. Our conversation was interrupted several times every minute, and this is a very specific example of the behavior described. After paying, we were asked, "Can you leave already?", which is completely unacceptable. A queue doesn't justify pushing or a disrespectful tone. I'm collecting further incidents from social media and reporting the case to the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency. I won't accept any apologies for the discrimination—it's inherently malicious, and the restaurant continues to make excuses for its staff. ______________________________________________________________ Our visit to this restaurant was truly unpleasant! A waitress constantly interrupted our conversation and repeatedly tried to clear our dessert plates even though we weren't finished. After we paid and even tipped, they immediately asked us, "Can you leave already!?" Extremely disrespectful, and it made you feel like we weren't welcome as guests. Was it because we looked Asian and they thought we'd be easy to treat? Or was it because guests here generally HAVE TO be "processed" quickly!? This is completely unacceptable. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE and I firmly oppose any form of *DISCRIMINATION*.

Authentic Malaysian Singapore Flavors in Berlin I had the Nasi Lemak and Teh Tarik , both were amazing! The rice was perfectly fragrant, sambal rich and spicy, and all the sides were spot on. The Teh Tarik was smooth, frothy, and just the right sweetness. Cozy vibe, super friendly staff, and truly authentic taste. Can’t wait to come back!

Good food, pretty pricy for a community-based spot, but maybe we have different understandings of what "community" is. The most terrible aspect though is the horrendous attitude from the person serving us (Meg, according to the resto's Instagram). We were treated with passive-agressiveness as if we are at the wrong place, as if she's doing us a favour for having us in, as if we've done something wrong by entering that place. What.is.going.on?! A bit surreal, really.

True Singapore taste! Delicious, authentic Hainanese chicken rice — soup, chili, and ginger just right. Warm and friendly service with great recommendations and a cozy, at-home vibe. Highly recommend! The food was excellent. After traveling a lot through Southeast Asia, we’d really been craving more authentic flavors—less of the overly sweet, Germanized versions you often find —and that’s exactly what we got here. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place and will definitely be back. Sitting out on the terrace on a warm summer evening was such a great vibe, too. I highly recommend the pineapple cucumber dish (forgot what it’s exactly called) — it was super flavourful and refreshing. The staff were also incredibly friendly (a rare find in Berlin!) and even went out of their way to serve us the pandan dessert in a deconstructed style—since they had technically already sold out. It still looked beautiful and tasted amazing, by the way. :)

The best and most authentic Singaporean and Malay food you can find in Germany if not in all of Europe. The chicken rice and kaya toast wirh kopi makes you feel like you are at a hawker centre in Singapore. The service is always excellent and welcoming. Especially Megan, she is the nicest and always makes you feel at home.

Our absolute favorite Restaurant in Berlin! Everytime we come back to Berlin this is our top spot on the bucket list. After living in Singapore for a few years we can definitely say that the food is the most authentic. Our top recommendations are the Kaya toast and kopi for breakfast and, of course, the amazing chicken rice which is also a great dinner option next to the Rendang curry. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, this combined with the great atmosphere makes you feel super welcome every single time.

Our absolute favorite restaurant in Berlin. Super authentic Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine. We lived in Singapore for several years ourselves, and every time we're in Berlin, we plan several visits. Whether it's for breakfast with authentic kaya toast or for dinner with typical local dishes, you won't find anything more authentic in Europe. The service is also particularly great; very friendly and always attentive, even though Mamakan is always very busy. The chicken rice is an absolute MUST.

We walked past on our way home and wanted to book a table for later on in the evening. The waitress was kind and took my name and reserved us a table. We came back and were warmly greeted and shown the table as well as provided with menus and drinks swiftly (this itself is a big plus in Berlin where service tends to be atrocious). We chose the chicken wings for a starter to share. Tasty spices and crunchy batter. Bit expensive at 8 euro for 4 wings. Was worth 5-6 euros. For mains we had the Nasi Lemak and Chicken Rendang with a side of potato curry. The flavours were tasty but lacking heat. With the size of the potions I have to believe that they ran out of ingredients or portions. There cannot be any other explanation. The curry I got for 18 euros was like a small sauce side dish you might get with a proper meal like a biryani. I was so disappointed to pay 18 euros for such a tiny size. The potato curry had 5 small pieces of potato they was not even one potato in there. Left the restaurant hungry with my wallet a lot lighter. Won't go back. Service was excellent so thank you very much for making us feel welcome. Just a shame you couldn't take care of basic portion sizes that are not miniscule.

Honestly if I could have Kaya Toast with eggs for breakkie every morning for the rest of my life, I would. Thanks for bringing that to Berlin. Also the chicken is always soo comforting and delicious! Literally though, everything here is. Can’t go wrong. A place filled with warmth, memories, and really, really great food.

Food is okay but nothing special. Service is dreadful. The waitress’s contempt is palpable like you are not welcome. They strictly control where you sit and hover over the till when you pay to ask for a tip. Tipping is NOT required in Germany especially when the service is this miserable.

Food was tasty, service was good and friendly, but cant give it a higher rating due to the tiny portions and price, I was not full after eating what was supposed to be dinner and had to have another full meal 1.5 hours later. There wasnt even enough sauce to finish the small bowl of rice. The price for the size of the portions is too much, I'd probably give 4 stars if portions were increased or the prices lowered. None of the ingredients seemed particularly exotic so that doesnt explain the price either. I'll maybe try it again for lunch but not dinner.

Unfortunately quite disappointed with the flavourless of the food. I ordered the laksa with shrimps and to me it didn’t taste like much. I couldn’t feel the shrimp broth taste, and to me it was super plain. For 16 euros I would also have expected a bigger portion, I would not serve this portion as a main dish. We also ordered the little sandwich which was good but 7 euros is really too much to ask for such a little portion too. Unfortunately will not come back, I couldn’t taste the Singaporean autenthic flavours.

€14 for a mini portion of food? It's not even cooked, just thrown together... I don't know... It tastes okay, but sorry, you guys can never charge €14 for that. Please reconsider your prices—I doubt you can keep it up for long.

My new favorite restaurant in Berlin! So authentic. Definitely try the Tofu starter and Nasi Lemak. I loved all the dishes and the natural wine was delicious too! Felt like being back in Malaysia. Such attention to detail in the dishware, outside street style stools, loved the interior, and really friendly service. Will be back, thank you Ma-Makan! 😍

We had such a wonderful experience here! The flavors were outstanding, and we were especially surprised by how delicious the tofu was. The dessert was another highlight; we didn’t expect the tapioca balls to be that amazing! We sat on the terrace, and with the lovely weather, it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend coming here to taste this delicious food!

The staff is always incredibly friendly and makes me feel very welcome, even when I come by myself during work breaks. The curries and main dishes are consistently excellent—my favorite is the chicken curry, with its deep flavor and perfect spice level. The nasi lemak is also a standout, and I enjoy getting a small portion of curry on the side with it. You can really feel the passion they put into the food. I’ll definitely keep coming back. Keep up the amazing work! ❤️

I lived in Malaysia for a couple years and having nasi lemak here made me so nostalgic and I also took back a jar of kaya which is very smooth and Tasty

Chicken and rice a fairly simple meal if made well, it’s gonna be a banger. Unfortunately we felt like the broth didn’t pack that much flavor. Perhaps they were a bit cheap on the amount of chicken in the broth. For 16€ I’d expect a better flavor and also the serving of poached chicken was approximately 100-120g so not a generous serve. As for the rendang, the flavors were nice but a rendang is supposed to be a bit more sweet, the serving size for 14€ and just a small bowl of rice was also pretty small, not super small but also not generous. The chicken wings were good but the batter a bit too thick in my opinion. In total we spent 55€ for two and had a pretty mid chicken dinner. The service was nice though.

Wonderful atmosphere and service and the food is so delicious and nourishing.

I have mixed feelings about this place: the place isn't particularly large, nor is it particularly cozy. It's a space that can get quite loud when there are large crowds. But most importantly: the food. While the tofu starter was a real highlight with a sauce balanced between sweet, salty, and umami, I found the main course bland and boring. Anyone who comes here expecting to eat something extraordinary that they can't easily recreate at home will be disappointed. The dessert, on the other hand, was another highlight and truly special. I would definitely come back for the starter and dessert.

It's really delicious. I can't eat spicy food well, but after eating this, I realized that eating spicy food can release stress! I recommend the drinks as well as the exotic taste of the food. However, the portions are a bit small and there are too few toppings(ingredients), which was a shame ㅠㅠ..!

A casual bistro-style restaurant with friendly service. A clear menu with Malaysian-Singaporean dishes, focusing on the essentials. The curry changes regularly, and at the end of the month, there's laksa. I tried the nasi lemak. It was okay, though the coconut rice could have been a bit more flavorful. However, the price was quite steep at €14. Overall, a good concept with room for improvement.

Authentic food, satisfied my craving for home food during my pregnancy in Germany. Amazing service from the restaurant owner after my husband helped her chase away a homeless druggie thrashing her restaurant. Even secured us a seat during busy hours without reservations. 10/10 for authentic Msia/SG food.
