M1 Restaurant in München

It’s honestly embarrassing that a place as prestigious as the BMW Museum allows its restaurant staff to behave this unprofessionally. The guy standing by the terminal clearly had no sense of basic customer service — smiling and laughing because I had a small issue with my card payment and accidentally dropped a bottle of water? Completely unacceptable. If my phone hadn’t been dying, I wouldn’t have stepped into this place at all. For a museum of this level to have such careless and disrespectful staff is a real shame. It seriously drags down the entire experience.

We stopped here before entering the BMW Museum. Unfortunately, the staff told me that I couldn't have anything due to my peanut/tree nut allergy as there was a risk for cross-contamination, so I ordered a drink. The other people in my party had paninis and said it wasn't bad, but a little bit too salty. There are many tables outside (we went around 1pm) with shade by umbrellas.

It's so bad. I ordered an iced Americano but got a hot one and they didn't change it for me. It's so disgusting.

We grabbed some ice coffe and sweets before the BMW musem. Seller first told us his collegue will serve us the coffe. But then said explicitly that they have «self service» very confusing.

Very sad selection in terms of food

the cafe is pleasant, there is a choice, the croissants are fresh, I liked everything. there was a single moment. no water was added to the espresso. even on a double request there was a refusal, okay, it's a generally accepted practice, a young man offered to buy me water for 4 euros if I needed it, I consider it super inappropriate for such a position of the staff for the BMW salon and cafeteria. the museum itself is cool, I recommend it. 04/27/25

The M1 cafe was for sure a change of pace. If you thought “hey, they are really good at engineering, they must make fantastic cappuccinos” you might be wrong as it was a little disappointing but having a drink while being sat in my favourite museum made up for it. It is the perfect place to people-watch and if you are interested in cars, make friends. I would describe it as really fun, loud and a bit annoying- the same way I would describe any guy who owns a BMW. Recommend!!

Terrible service. Ordered a double espresso and for some reason the people behind me got their orders first.

The salad was 90% arugula and the cashier charged one Patong twice. By noting it, I got the extra payment back.

There are many people, most of them Chinese.

Super friendly staff! Had a capuchino, a blueberry muffin, and a salad and enjoyed eating all of them. The salad had tofu, and I must say, it was the first time I enjoyed eating it! Recommended.

Cool museum about how BMW was created

To avoid one of the worst experiences in BMW... after having been a customer of the BMW 520d then the 7 series and the 8 series... I decided to visit the museum... I entered the restaurant and the staff was arrogant, rude and disrespectful... the place is nice... but the employee was totally rude. I asked if the restaurant was open and the answer I received was... tickets can be bought from the ticket office... you have to exit the restaurant... I showed the ticket I had already bought several times and I was told that only sandwiches were available at 1.20pm... personally I wouldn't go back to a place like that where the people are unprofessional, the museum is very poor, it is poorly organised... I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend it to anyone to avoid the bar, they call it a restaurant but they don't even have hot toast, the sandwiches are cold

Easily get a cup of coffee quickly and friendly. Inside or outside on the terrace. Between the museum and De Welt

I really don't understand why ppl complain about service. Everything went smoothly with a smile on face. This place is very good for fast lunch with coffe.

There not much variety of food. They have some sandwiches and bowls as well as Brezel etc. but not proper meals during the lunch time. The staffs are super friendly and nice so you feel instantly welcomed which was really lovely. The interior is modern, warm and inviting. Since many walls are made of glass it’s bright and you can enjoy looking outside while eating which I liked a lot.

Very busy between 12 noon and 1 pm. For so many visitors, long queue for self-service without good flow, too little space + tables. Lots of choice. Quality coffee.

Food is very bland and rather cheap. Service simply underground. My BMW costs 110,000 francs but here BMW feels cheaper than any McDonald's branch.

The restaurant is so tiny for the number of people who visit the BMW Museum on a daily basis. So, naturally, it took an eternity to find a vacant seat. The food and the service, however, were its saving grace. The Panini was delicious, prepared well, and not overly chewy despite being cold. The staff was polite and quite organized with the orders, despite a fully packed restaurant.

There was nothing left except overpriced donuts and muffins... a shame.

We went here to eat because there were no other places nearby. A very friendly bartender who tried to help in everything and was very warm to the fact that we came with a child. But this is where the advantages end. In principle, there is no meat in the establishment, and the taste of other sandwiches did not leave a pleasant impression. So we will most likely not go here the second time

A place for a snack before/after the museum. The drinks and food taste good but are unfortunately too expensive.

2 Baguettes auf die Hand bestellt. Top, da sehr lecker. Insgesamt war es sehr voll. Wir haben dann draußen verzehrt.

كافيه فيه ماكولات بسيطة وقهوة تخلص من معرض BMW وتدخل له .. فيه مكان لقراءة مجلات وكتب عن BMW

Nice atmosphere but the prices are on the higher side and the sorbet portions a bit small. The sorbet itself was okay.

Das war mein persönlicher erster toller Moment in diesem Museum 🥰 sehr sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, was auch die Getränke mit Liebe zubereitet hat - vielen Dank dafür 🫶🏽

Der Besuch in der BMW Welt sowie dem BMW Museum war wundervoll, einfach klasse! Die Bedienung im M1 Restaurant ist leider völlig daneben. Maximal unfreundlich und nur dumme Kommentare. Wenn die das Erlebnis weitergeben würden, wäre es natürlich viel erfreulicher.

Hat uns gerettet als es nirgends mehr Kaffee gab, nach 17.00 Uhr. Kuchen war um die Zeit alle, also nicht zu testen. Kommt später mal.

Great snacks and drinks, didn't try to larger food items but they were probably delicious as well.

Da visitare assolutamente. Struttura moderna e avveniristica, curata eccezionalmente. L'entrata è gratuita, a pagamento è invece il museo BMW a pochi passi, ma anche la visita free offre grandi emozioni e stupore.
