LüttLiv in Hamburg

Sadly, they've changed the menu, and the food isn't as delicious as it used to be. Their main attraction was the vegan burger, but they removed it from the new menu. The new options are very simple and expensive for what they are. The pizza wasn't very tasty, but when you're hungry, anything's edible, haha.

I can't speak to the food or service there. But this: I had a reservation for this afternoon, and even though I received a reminder the day before, I found the café CLOSED due to the Barmbek flea market. It's great when you rely on something—and even get a reminder—and then... nothing!!! The back office organization needs to work harder.

LüttLiv is truly a great little restaurant. The ambiance is very cozy. You can sit outside in the garden, which is very uniquely and attractively decorated. The seating inside is a bit cramped, but still very nice. The lighting is cozy, and the interior is stylish. There are significantly fewer dishes to choose from these days. And the pizza, while tasty, is a bit small for the price. The Margherita costs €12, but you only get a small version. It's not big enough for a grown man. 😄 The drinks and wine selection, however, are excellent. And so is the service. They have the place well under control 👍🏻

Always a good place for a coffee with a piece of cake or a cold spritzer, especially in hot weather under the treetops outside, a good place to "short-term" relax on the way home after the weekly shopping.

I was here today, and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed it: the cake was delicious, as was the chai latte. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the whole atmosphere inside and out was absolutely quaint and cozy. You should make a reservation after 5 p.m., though, as it gets really busy. We'd love to come back!

Pizzas where really original. I really liked my pizza with spinach, Ricotta and lemon. My husband ordered one with patatoes and mustard. Drinks and dessert were also really good, although the latter wasn't as I expected, a cheesecake, but the flavour was there. The service was excellent.

Yesterday, the two of us went there at the end of our Hamburg trip, based on a recommendation. We had pizza on Saturday evening, all pizzas were €12. They tasted absolutely delicious. I had the Shitake pizza, something different, and it was also amazing. The space, staff, and service were also top-notch. We'd definitely go back if we're ever in Hamburg again.

Nice restaurant where you can sit and relax. Delicious lemonade and friendly staff. I just wish there were a few more vegan options. Simply omitting cheese isn't the best option.

You can sit outside great. There is a great lunch menu and there is also food of the best quality in the evenings. The menu changes regularly so it doesn't get boring. I come here regularly with friends and family and am always impressed. I recommend the Lütt Liv without reservation!

Sweet, tasty, great service people

Great food (pumpkin lasagna, creste a gallo, gnocchi) from the lunch menu. The cheesecake (dessert) was the best we have ever tasted. And totally friendly, lovely service.

Went there today with my father after a visit to the Museum of Work (recommended by the lady at the checkout there) for a really excellent cappuccino and a very tasty cheesecake - if it was vegan, I could get used to it! It's very cozy inside and the staff is really attentive. Thumbs up!

I was there in December to have a nice drink. The circus tent (heated), which is set up outside in winter, is super cozy, beautifully furnished and really heated so that you can sit there without a jacket. Drinks are ok, price normal. Service very nice and friendly.

Always nice at LüttLiv. When I'm in the area I like to come here, no matter what time of year, whether outside or inside, it's absolutely beautiful here. The service was friendly and accommodating. There is a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. This time, when making the reservation, I asked for a place that was on the edge so that it would be easier for my grandma with a hearing aid and this request was implemented very well. Thank you very much and certainly see you soon.

It's pre-Christmas time and it should be mulled wine. There was a tent set up like a ring and it looked tempting. Cozy and totally rustic inside. It was a great evening with mulled wine and apple punch at LüttLiv.

Relatively expensive, the dishes all taste relatively good, but the menu is confusing and some portions are quite small. It's a shame, you don't always get full.

Visited LüttLiv for the first time today. In general it is cozy and cute but also quite loud. If you're not vegan and don't like it that much, you should probably just have a coffee there and eat a piece of cake. The hot dishes are reduced to 4-5 offerings and 3 out of 4 are vegan or vegetarian. It's possible that this offer changes, but I don't assume that a burger or a currywurst with meat will suddenly be offered. The cake is mostly vegan too. But it tastes good! Prices are ok for me, service was good too. So if it wasn't so loud at times and if the vegan currywurst had a different consistency and taste, it would get 1 point more. It's all a matter of taste and many may celebrate exactly what I complained about. Feel free to give the little shop a chance, it might convince you.

The LÜTTLIV provides the participants of our company meeting, which always takes place in the tin smelter, with catering, finger food, drinks and also warm food. At LÜTTLIV everything can be ordered/ordered just as easily as at the tin smelter. The quality of the food and drinks is top, everything can be put together individually based on the menu. Even for around 50 participants, everything was just right and there was enough available. The combination of LÜTTLIV and tin melt works perfectly.

Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and a few tasty things on the menu. The prices are moderate and reasonable. However, a point deducted from the B grade for the crushed ice in the Negroni - something like that shouldn't happen to a bartender 😉

Top vegan options, delicious drinks

You pay €16 for a hamburger and €3 more if you want fries with it. At least that was the case. Now you actually get “chips” instead of fries. I really mean "chips"... possibly from a bag of chips from Aldi. For this typical business administration idea, the poor waiters have to tell a sad fairy tale about a defective deep fryer that cannot be replaced for lack of money. Finances don't allow you to prepare potato side dishes in the oven either. But I don't have to go to the restaurant for a few chips from the bag. It shows how dispassionate the management is towards the dishes they serve. It's also humiliating for the chef to garnish his burgers with chips without being creative. If you're looking for a shabby "Einstein" for boomers with wobbly tables, this is the place for you. An overwhelmed mother at a child's birthday party sometimes prefers to open a few bags of chips.

As a Hamburger, I am of the opinion that LüttLiv is an absolute insider tip. Lots of super friendly and competent staff. Super quick, we didn't have to wait long for the food. The food was really good. And all of this without any fancy dress. I will definitely come back.

We always like going to LüttLiv. A great location inside and outside. You can linger there with coffee and cake or have a warm meal. We've done both several times and we were thrilled. The staff is very nice, you definitely feel very comfortable there. We always enjoy being there

Anyone in a very stylish atmosphere! is also satisfied with very simple, mild but fresh vegetarian food, but also a good selection of coffee/cake, If the young team works very relaxed and informally... "In the middle of Barmbek" is the right place. The birthday guest was not congratulated, the empty glasses were not seen, the plates were cleared away too early. There could be a little more service :) Thanks

The place and the service are lovely. However the vegetarian menu lacks clarity and the salads are simple and overpriced. For example, there are "chicken" burgers when there is not real chicken in it. When a whole table doesn't get it without the explanation of the waiting staff, something should be changed. Overall the food is tasty 😋

A real recommendation for anyone who wants or can avoid meat. The LüttLiv offers a feel-good atmosphere. In summer weather there is a spot in one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the city.

Really a very nice restaurant/café with a great, quiet atmosphere! I was there once for cake (amazing!) and then yesterday evening. The burrata is really recommended!! Unfortunately, in my opinion, the vegan mayo was a bit bland, but there are also miso and sriracha mayo, which are also vegan, perhaps they have a bit more oomph. It's also great that all the sauces are homemade! 👌

Little selection, moderately motivated service and high prices. Kitchen inflexible (leaving out an optional side dish like bread was overwhelming). Absolutely not again.

The food was very tasty but the prices are questionable. I had the gnocchi, which consisted of 10 pieces filled with spinach. They were tasty but I think €18 is a bit much. My colleagues had burgers and penne. These were also very good but the price was technically a bit too much. All in all it was an OK experience. But as always, it's just my opinion. You have to know.

4.5 stars? (As of July '24) is actually an insult... mega exciting dishes, taste orgasms (e.g. grilled aubergine or rigatoni), super nice team and the overall experience can hardly be topped on warm summer evenings with a lime-ginger lemonade 😍

Beautiful, cozy little restaurant with a great outdoor area, fantastic service and super delicious food and drinks. All dishes on the menu are at least vegetarian, many are even vegan and most of them have at least a vegan option. The homemade lemonade is also a hit! We had a great evening and will come back when we are in Hamburg again!

From a vegan perspective, the menu has shrunk compared to 2-3 years ago. There is also no longer the delicious pizza. Completely unfortunate. The prices have also increased a bit, but the portions haven't necessarily increased. It feels a bit “finer” here now. Not necessarily an improvement for me personally. The quality of the food is good to very good (including the non-vegan dishes). The selection of cakes is excellent, including the vegan pieces. A positive thing to note is the very nice staff and the dog-friendliness (Wauzi is allowed to come along and also gets a drinking bowl).

We enjoyed our stay there very much. The sofa in the corner was super comfy and the fries were delicious.

We ate there twice in May and sat outside in the beer garden in a nice atmosphere. Service was very friendly and attentive. The vegetarian dishes were something different, but skillfully combined and deliciously seasoned. I had the grilled eggplant (be careful, the sauce is very spicy), with Cesar salad and another time the penne with lemon cream and peas.

We reserved a table, came into the restaurant and unfortunately none of the many people who worked there felt approached to take us. After a while we found the table alone But no one came to bring a card After calling several times, a stressed person came and said that there was only table service from 5 p.m. They could have told us 15 minutes in advance, as the waiters were all running around with food and drinks. But it was already after 5 p.m. The food is too expensive! The 2 pointed peppers had no side dishes apart from a little dip. The grilled overgine was not grilled properly and looked like it was dried, not freshly prepared. Nuts and lettuce were sprinkled on top so that you couldn't see it straight away. The gnocchi were tasty but sprinkled with natural nuts and careless on the plate. 3 people out of 4 didn't leave full and we didn't feel welcome A pity

Unfortunately, the food is mediocre and too expensive. The vegan cheeseburger for 14 euros is just fine, but I find it cheeky that for 6 euros you also get a salad that consists solely of a few leaves and nothing else. Unfortunately, the fries and the apparently homemade ketchup taste very bland. It's a shame, otherwise the café is nice and the staff is nice. Apparently the menu is brand new, hopefully there will be some improvements

Been there a couple times. The cakes are good but I wouldn’t recommend ordering any other type of food. Ordered „quiche“ and it was so disgusting that neither my companion nor I could eat it. It was served with a „salad“ which only consisted of one type of lettuce and nothing else. I complained and said the quiche wasn’t edible and all I was told was no one else has ever complained. I would highly recommend the chef to go to France to see what a real quiche should look and taste like. Awful. Cute atmosphere but overpriced and terrible service in my opinion for not taking complaints seriously.

Nice café and bistro behind the Museum of Work, just two minutes from Barmbek train station. Seats inside are limited, but you can also sit outside in a "circus tent". There are both homemade cakes and savory dishes. The coffee isn't in the top league, but it's definitely not bad. What's funny is that almost everyone gets a different plate or glass... which adds to the special ambience of the location.

Very tasty breakfast, great ambience and great service! 🤩 🤔Then why only 4 stars? Breakfast 4 has "shepherd's cheese" on the menu, but there is a vegan cheese substitute. It's a shame that there is no vegetarian version of this option. Two out of four people in our group were surprised and would have preferred butter and cheese made from milk (the yoghurt clearly states that it is made from coconut and there is generally a marking on the dish, but when I read shepherd's cheese I expect cheese made from milk) 🐄🥛🐐

Was there again today for a long time. 7 years ago I gave 5 stars, but not anymore. The 0.2 apple, carrot, ginger juice tasted like an ACE nectar, the small glass even contained 2 ice cubes - in winter. The scrambled eggs had two small pieces of bread and tasted good. We were seated with a reservation at a table right next to a door that was open every few minutes. It was incredibly cold because of it. When we noticed this as we were leaving and half the restaurant was empty and we could have sat somewhere else, we said "ok". Too bad, I'm disappointed.

We had a Christmas party and 2 colleagues had to cancel 2 days in advance because of Corona and these colleagues still had to pay 25 per person. I think this store is disgraceful. I would have understood it on the same day, but 2 days in advance are timely cancellations!

Just great! I came with no expectations and left with tears of joy. Service top: friendly and fast and the food was a feast for the eyes and the taste left nothing to be desired. I'd love to come back (and so would all my friends ;-)!! )

Mein Stammlokal zum Kaffeetrinken und Kuchenessen. Die Kuchenauswahl ist für mich als Veganerin fantastisch! Und der Kaffee ist auch sehr lecker. Immer wieder gerne....

Sehr nettes Ambiente, sehr freundliche Bedienung. Schade, daß viele Gerichte nur zu bestimmten Tageszeiten bestellt werden können, somit muß man nachmittags oft auf Kuchen zurückgreifen...das war mal anders.

Selten so wohlgefühlt, sehr gemütlich, tolle Idee mit dem beheizten Zelt, Burrata mit Basilikum und Buttermilchdressing unfassbar lecker. Das machte auch den kleinen Schock über den Preis von 0,2 l Rotwein wett (8,90€)...der sehr netter Service krönte das Ganze.

Ein Laden den ich immer gerne besuche ob dir Pilsner Urquell, Kaffee oder eine Portion Pommes. Alles schmeckt recht gut und die Bedienung ist meistens top freundlich. Das Ambiente ist sehr entspannt und süß. Preislich im mittleren Bereich.

Leckeres Essen! Die Gerichte sind mit Liebe zubereitet. Die Ambiente ist auch toll, es gibt einen schönen Biergarten. Ich bin öfter mal da zum Mittag.

Supernettes kleines Restaurant. Wir haben im Innenhof im Schatten unterm Segel (ein echtes Bootssegel :-) ) gesessen und sind freundlich und schnell bedient worden. Wir hatten Dosenfisch (geräucherte Sprotten) und das Brot und die Zwiebeln waren der Oberhammer: ganz frisch und selbst zubereitet. Auch die Fritten waren hausgemacht und superlecker. Als Drittes hatten wir uns für den Sandwich entschieden mit frisch geröstetem Brot, einer dicken Portion Käse und feinen Beilagen. Liebenswerter Ort direkt am Bahnhof Barmbek. Auch die Location innen sah richtig gemütlich aus - mit Spielautomat auf dem WC.

We needed a relaxed place for our highly sensitive daughter and we ended up there. She was able to wiggle around while we ate out in their garden. It was mostly smoke free and I kind of just realise that I won't ever find a place that is smoke free so I can't complain. The food came relatively fast and the server was fast compared to that she was almost by herself with a relatively full. The food kind of felt like it was just heated up but it was fine since we just needed something

Ein winzig kleines Lokal auf dem Gelände des Museums für Arbeit in Barmbek. Eine Speisekarte mit leckeren und teils vollwertigen Gerichten (der Vollkornpflaumenstreuselkuchen ist ein Gedicht). Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam, das Ambiente hat einen durcheinandergewürfelten Chic, was sehr viel Charme hat. Sollte bei keinem Hamburg Besuch fehlen. Reservierungen sind angebracht.

Sehr schönes kleines Café sowohl zum draußen sitzen als auch mit einem sehr schönen Innenbereich. Der Kuchen sowie die Hausgemachten Limonaden haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Tolles Restaurant in schöner Umgebung direkt beim Museum für Arbeit. Wir konnte draußen sitzen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das ist ist von bester Qualität und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Hier sollte man unbedingt mal hin!! Wir kommen wieder!
