Schöner Biergarten, idyllische Lage, leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen, freundliche, flotte Bedienung. Für Radtour-Stops gut geeignet. Alternativ Parkplatz auf der anderen Straßenseite, sogar mit Schattenplätzen!

Sauberes, geräumiges Zimmer mit Klimaanlage. Gelegen inmitten Natur, Wanderwege direkt ab Hotel. Restaurant sehr gutes Essen und Ambiente. Alle Beschäftigten sehr hilfsbereit und nett. Wir kommen im Oktober wieder ( aus München), sagt ja wohl alles :-)

Sehr schönes Hotel in guter Lage, tolle Zimmer, guter Preis, hilfsbereites und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Essen ist köstlich und die Portionen sind groß. Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen!

Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie an Muttertag in der Lue. Ich habe mich so gefreut, weil ich immer das Essen dort sehr geschätzt habe. Bis zu diesem Tag. Meine Mutter und ich bestellten Spargel. Spargel mit Kartoffeln und Hollandaise kosten 27.50 Euro plus Lachs/Schnitzel/Schweinefilet etc.. okay dachte ich stolzer Preis, aber man gönnt sich ja sonst nichts. Ich bestellte Schweinefilet und es kam ein Teller mit Schnitzel. Okay dachte ich und sagte zu der Kellnerin lassen sie es hier. Da fiel mir schon die Farbe der Kartoffeln auf, auch meine Mutter sprach mich sofort an. Die Kartoffeln schmeckten alt, bzw. wurden diese bestimmt irgendwann vorgekocht und nur wieder aufgewärmt. Als die Kellnerin kam und fragte ob alles in Ordnung sei, haben wir ihr unser Problem erzählt. Man entschuldigte sich, aber es passierte nichts. In einem Restaurant mit diesem Preisen oder überhaupt nimmt man sich der Sache an oder bietet eine Entschädigung an. Auch vor dem Essen würde kein Brot oder ein Gruß aus der Küche angeboten. Wir haben mit 3 Erwachsenen und 1 Kind über 140 Euro da gelassen für dieses Essen. Ich bin erstmal geheilt und werde definitiv so schnell nicht mehr in der Lue essen.

Kaffee zu wenig in der Tasse, trotzdem 3,60 Euro, krass. Man sitzt direkt an der Straße

Ein wunderbares Restaurant mit guter Küche. Mitten im Grünen mit tollem Essen und sehr gutem Service. Mit Kleinkind waren wir hier bestens aufgehoben und konnten einen sehr entspannten Stopp auf der Heimreise machen. Entlang des Baches kann man sich gut die Beine vertreten.

Toller Biergarten, auch große Auswahl an Speisen und Kaffee und Kuchen. Kaffee und Kuchen recht preiswert.

Minuspunkte durch die Reinigungskraft die klar gemacht hat wie sich der Hund verhalten soll - nicht aufs Bett! Das ist schon abenteuerlich wenn man für den Hund schon zusätzlich bezahlt. Der Rest ist einwandfrei. Kostenfreie Parkplätze und eine gute Lage kann attestiert werden. Auch das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Schade das diese Servicekraft den guten Gesamteindruck schmälert.

Keine Ahnung wie das Hotel ist, aber wir haben dort ein Stück Kuchen gegessen und der war sehr lecker, sehr zu empfehlen

Unser Aufenthalt in der Lüttelforster Mühle war rundum sehr angenehm. Die Zimmer waren äußerst sauber und die Betten außergewöhnlich bequem – wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Personal: durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die ruhige Lage sorgt für eine entspannte Atmosphäre, und die gesamte Location ist wirklich sehr schön gestaltet. Ein perfekter Ort zum Abschalten und Genießen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!

We had lunch at Lü after our civil wedding ceremony. We'd never been there before and were thrilled. Both the food and the service were fantastic! We'll definitely be back.

A truly dreamlike accommodation! We took a short break in the region and booked this hotel because of its proximity to Borussia-Park and the Dutch border. Check-in was completely hassle-free. Upon arriving in our rooms, we were greeted by a charming and perfectly coordinated design. Everything was impeccably tidy and clean! Breakfast was delicious. We were seated with care, and any small extra requests were accommodated. We will definitely stay at this hotel again on our next visit to the stadium! Greetings from the Thuringian Forest

The rooms are basic and very noisy; you can hear your neighbor snoring all night. Every door that opens or closes in the hallway at night will jolt you awake. If you advertise that breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m., then breakfast should actually be ready at 7:00 a.m., not 7:20 a.m. After all, some people have appointments in the morning and aren't there for leisure.

Unfortunately, our wedding didn't quite go as planned. The meadow wasn't properly prepared beforehand; there was a lot of goose droppings everywhere, which soiled both the bride's dress and some of the guests' clothing. This was a real shame, as you naturally want a well-kept setting for such a special day. In the barn, it was extremely hot in the middle of summer, and opening the doors wasn't allowed because of the guests in the beer garden. This quickly made it uncomfortable inside, and many guests barely stayed in the reception venue – which unfortunately dampened the atmosphere considerably. Particularly disappointing was the fact that, despite the high cost, the guests in the beer garden apparently had priority, even well before 10 p.m. Additionally, there were unexpected extra charges for spontaneous well-wishers. These were charged at a flat rate per person, regardless of whether they were only there briefly, had a glass of sparkling wine, or just a juice. We felt this was excessively expensive. On a positive note, we would like to highlight the truly delicious food; it was excellent both in taste and presentation. The venue itself has great potential and is visually very appealing. The service during the day was pleasant thanks to the friendly waitresses, even though we hardly saw any other staff. The planning beforehand went well overall. In conclusion: For us, the price and performance were only partially in line. Nevertheless, thank you for your efforts and the lovely setting – with a little more attention to detail, the venue could truly be something special.

Our wedding with over 150 guests at the Lüttleforster Mill was a dream come true! The lovingly designed rooms create a special atmosphere. The blend of historical charm and modern elements made us and our guests feel instantly at ease and comfortable. The entire team was incredibly attentive and anticipated our every need, allowing us to fully enjoy our special day. The food was also outstanding and a big hit with all our guests. We wholeheartedly recommend the Lüttleforster Mill – an ideal location for unforgettable celebrations!

We dined there and were very impressed by the quality of the food and its preparation. A feast for the palate, a true delight. Kudos to the chef! Attentive and very pleasant service, too. All this in a somewhat secluded, tranquil location, surrounded by nature, fresh, clean air, and a calming atmosphere in the stylish ambiance of the old mill. In short, highly recommended.

I was just there for dinner! It was delicious, and the service was very quick and friendly, even though the restaurant was very busy.

We, a lucky threesome consisting of my girlfriend, our dog, and myself, spent a short vacation in my old hometown! The LÜ offers beautiful rooms with very loving dog care; two bowls, a blanket, and dog towels were in the room upon arrival! The food is also highly recommended; very tasty and everything perfectly prepared! The service was very friendly and accommodating, without being intrusive, coupled with a touch of Rhineland cheerfulness! You could also walk the dog directly at the LÜ, perfect for a walk! I do have one small drawback, though: the beds, or rather the mattresses, were much too soft for us! However, that's perhaps nitpicking, as we're used to a mattress as hard as a futon! I highly recommend the hotel and restaurant! We'd love to come back! 😈☠️👹💀🤘🏁

Delicious food, I've rarely eaten so well, and it's worth every penny. The ambiance is also extremely well-kept and creates a pleasant atmosphere. 👌

Unfortunately, I can't give it that many stars. We had room 108, which was right by the river. It was impossible to open a window; it was far too noisy. The air conditioning was directly on our bodies and was quite loud and too bright. While others here described breakfast as very good, it wasn't the case for us. The coffee was quite bitter. The selection wasn't anything special either; there was a lack of bread, cereal, etc. When we were almost finished, we noticed that some people had been given a boiled egg. We also noticed that cappuccino was available upon request. However, no one asked us for anything, so we couldn't assume that it was available. It's a shame, we were so looking forward to this hotel.

I was privileged to DJ Mareike & Daniel's wedding at the Lüttelforster Mühle in Schwalmtal – and it was simply dreamy! The venue is a true gem: rustic and romantic, nestled in an idyllic forest and meadow landscape, with plenty of charm and attention to detail. The outdoor area invites you to linger, while the interior offers a cozy and stylish atmosphere – perfect for an unforgettable wedding celebration. From a DJ perspective, everything was perfectly planned as well: plenty of space, great acoustics, and a fantastic team that was both professional and welcoming. Everything was just right here – a clear recommendation for anyone who wants to celebrate in a unique setting!

We stopped here to enjoy a latte macchiato in the fresh air. It was delicious, as was the price of €4.60! The service was friendly, but we rarely came back afterward. So we had to go inside to pay. I expect better service, especially since the price is quite steep for a relatively small glass of latte macchiato! The ambiance and the natural surroundings are very beautiful, though.

The taste is good, but the value for money isn't right. The price is too high for the portion size (at least €5-7). The add-ons for the dishes also don't represent good value for money (4-6 thin slices of chicken breast fillet = €6). I was particularly negative about the price of tap water, which is €5.50 per bottle. Overall, you pay too much for average food and quality (there's no information on the menu regarding the origin of the meat, for example).

A truly wonderful hotel/restaurant in an old mill. The rooms and restaurant are very modern. There's a fantastic beer garden in front of the restaurant. The staff is very attentive and efficient. The food was also good and plentiful. Highly recommended.

We celebrated my daughter's wedding there. Everything was to our satisfaction. The food (buffet) was delicious, the service very friendly, and the venue was perfect. The overnight stay with breakfast after the celebration was also great and gave us no cause for complaint. I highly recommend this venue.

It's nice that your guests can still enjoy the peace and greenery that you advertise with. However, it is not possible for your guests to destroy the greenery around the LÜ due to a lack of parking space at the events you are organizing! You park in construction sites with dead ends with no possibility of turning. Blocking adjacent areas. Drive onto private property and flatten plants that were planted to beautify Lüttelforst. Make sure there are parking spaces! Reply to your feedback: It's Mother's Day and someone comes to you to tell you that they are once again parking illegally in the Lüttelforst entrance, which is completely closed, and you have nothing better to do than with them 'We can't influence the answer. Ma was modest about her parking problem. If you hadn't converted your parking lot into a beer garden, you would have more parking space. So much for your statement, the parking options always present you with challenges, you have to find solutions together and the good neighborhood is important to you. That's exactly why I wrote the post so that everyone reads it, because talking doesn't seem to help. The public order office will be involved in the future.

We ate in the restaurant with 6 people. The side salad was very tasty. We had asparagus with ham, pork loin, grilled vegetables with dip, Wienerschnitzel and the tarte flambée. All dishes were very tasty.

Hello, We went to the mill for Easter breakfast Unfortunately there is only 3 stars on average. There was nothing to complain about in terms of service and location But given the price we would have expected more. The selection was average; There was nothing extra for vegetarians. Sometimes it was refilled quite late. And coffee was added to the price. Unfortunately, other restaurants offer more choice at a lower price.

We were there for breakfast. €29 per nose, coffee cost extra, which I found outrageous given the price. Not much choice, the buffet was in a completely different building, you had to walk quite a distance. Since we had older family members with us, this wasn't ideal. Scrambled eggs, bacon and fried eggs were cold and were only refilled slowly. First, plates weren't cleared at all, then my son's plate was cleared "under his nose" while he was still chewing. The quality of the cold cuts was average. There were no vegetarian options, or they were not labeled. I'm totally disappointed, just too expensive, here you pay for the name and the admittedly beautiful surroundings.

Went there today April 21st, 2025, unfortunately the food wasn't good. My rump steak with fried potatoes was almost cold, you could only guess that it got warm at some point. The food went back to the kitchen. It was probably placed on a new plate and parked under the salamander again. Result: it was a little warmer, but far from fresh, the herb butter was melted. And they charged over €30 for that. This is absolutely overkill for the performance! The rump steak ear was also really small, the taste was ok at best, but nothing more. I wouldn't eat here in my life if I had to pay for it myself. If we are invited again, we will politely decline. This is an update to a review from 2 years ago. At least the food was good back then, but unfortunately that has deteriorated significantly. I can't recommend this restaurant, I prefer to cook myself.

After the mill route on the bikes around Wegberg, my husband and I had dinner at the Lüttelforst mill at the end of the day. A nice restaurant with good service and delicious food!! We would love to come back 😀

We stayed here on a bike tour from Aachen to Xanten and were very satisfied. The bicycles could be safely stored. The room was well furnished and spacious. We ate very well in the evening and the breakfast was also very tasty and plentiful. What particularly struck us was the young, committed and very friendly team, both in the hotel and in the restaurant.

We would also give it 10*. The rooms are great!!! The food was super delicious!!! I'm looking forward to tonight and tomorrow's breakfast. The only drawback is that the ceiling doesn't seem stable, probably due to the old one. You can hear very clearly when someone walks over it. We were particularly impressed by the welcome our dog received. He was provided with a pillow with 2 bowls and his own towels. Wow, just wow!!!! We sat comfortably outside by the water. We drive over 300 km here, but will definitely come back. Price-performance absolutely fine! Extremely friendly staff. It was a short vacation for body and soul. The two of us stayed there for 2 nights with our dog Emma. We have never visited a more dog-friendly hotel. The food was great and the staff were always friendly, helpful and courteous! We will come back. THANKS!

Traditionally, we were here with a larger group for a fish dinner on Ash Wednesday. The special offer includes herring salad with fried potatoes, pasta with vegetables, and fried fish with potato salad. In the expectation that a juicy piece of fish in a crispy batter would be attractively served, there was a flat fish-shaped structure with breading on both sides that was as thick as the fish itself (as it seemed to me, and not just me, it was warmed-up convenience food), with a potato salad with peas and a surprisingly tasty tartar sauce, no garnish. The large bottle of mineral water was stylishly served with 2 glasses in an already open bottle with a house emblem, it was at room temperature, was flat and tasted a bit stale. The price-performance ratio was by no means justified. The prudent and friendly service staff should be positively highlighted, as well as the beautiful location of the house, the ambience and the cleanliness of the facilities.

What a gem hidden in the peace and beauty of nature! Our stay at the Lüttelforster Mühle was simply fantastic. From the first moment we felt welcome. We were immediately impressed by the warmth of the staff, the warm smiles at check-in and the attentive care given to both new and returning guests. The room? Immaculately clean and equipped with a wonderful box spring bed - plus a choice of several pillows. No restless nights here – just pure comfort. And the food… wow! Fresh ingredients, prepared with love and served with care. A big compliment to the chef and the entire team! The location of the mill is also very special. Surrounded by beautiful greenery, with a babbling stream in the background and hiking trails that invite you straight into nature. We thoroughly enjoyed this magical place - it felt like a second home. We'll definitely be back!

Great hotel in a beautiful location. The staff very accommodating.

This location was visited on February 22nd, 2025 on the occasion of a family celebration. This restaurant is characterized by friendly and unobtrusive service, as well as a wide selection of food and drinks. Children between the ages of 3 and 10 were able to romp around undisturbed in the large green area outside the large common room. The menus offered feature haute cuisine preparation and are priced commensurate with the quality. It is a culinary experience to dine here. My absolute recommendation for those who want to experience what high culinary art is. Unfortunately the location is a bit remote... but idyllic. A large parking lot completes the positive impression.

Very nice location and great service that is very friendly but not intrusive. The card absolutely convinced us. There are great vegetarian and vegan options. A very successful selection that probably changes regularly. Not typical inn food but really fresh cuisine. Not a run-of-the-mill salad but a delicious dressing and also a little eye-catcher when it comes to decoration. There are also modern options such as bowls or quiches that come with delicious dips and are seasonally adapted. We also saw classics at the neighboring tables if you want something hearty. Nice drinks selection. The Lü lemonade tastes great. We will definitely come back and will also recommend the hotel.

The Lüttelforster Mühle is located in a totally romantic location between fields and a forest and the restaurant is really one of the best in the area

A hotel with a beautiful ambience located directly on the forest and the Schwalm. The rooms are clean and comfortably furnished and equipped with air conditioning. The breakfast is perfectly fine for the price and the buffet was lovingly prepared with fresh fruit and homemade fruit quark. The breakfast lady was very friendly and accommodating. You can eat very well in the restaurant and enjoy a really nice evening in the beer garden. The service is friendly and attentive. All in all it was 2 very nice days that definitely have to be repeated

Excellent food, very friendly and experienced service and prices appropriate to the quality. We tasted the fresh and perfectly prepared ingredients. The menu is well tailored to the season and diversity and has something for every taste, including vegetarians. Only the large room could use a little more “comfort” - otherwise it would be 5 stars.

The LÜ is a great location for a larger celebration. With very good quality food, dedicated service, plenty of space and flexible options for interior design. We have already used this twice.

I was here as a service provider for a wedding. Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is fantastically beautiful and the combination of indoors and outdoors is simply great. The food was served as a grill buffet and was very tasty.

The planning of our wedding at the Lüttelforster Mühle started promisingly. The team was easy to reach and seemed eager to fulfill our wishes. But shortly before the wedding the shock came: We were assured that we could use the room to decorate the day before the wedding - provided it wasn't rented out. About three weeks in advance we received confirmation that the room was available, which gave us planning security. But just three days before the wedding the bad surprise came: the room was given to someone else at short notice. This extremely short notice and completely unforeseen change threw our entire wedding planning into chaos. All preparations for Friday - DJ, technology, photo box, breakfast and hairdresser appointments - suddenly had to be overturned and reorganized. On the wedding day itself, we had to drive to the location early to decorate the entire room and outdoor area. This ruined our entire morning. There was no trace of joy or romance left. If we had known about this change in time, we could have planned differently. Instead, we as a bride and groom were left in the lurch and had to fight through the chaos alone. Although we were assured that the owner and our contact person would be there on the wedding day to support us, our contact person only showed up about two hours before the wedding ceremony began. So on our most important day we were faced with a completely chaotic scenario. Even though the location is visually appealing and the food and service were good, this fiasco - as well as two friendly couples who also wanted to get married there - finally made us reject the Lüttelforster Mühle. After this disastrous experience, we cannot recommend anyone to get married there. Such serious, arbitrary changes to plans are simply unacceptable. Three days before the wedding, it is impossible for a bride and groom to manage such changes without significant stress and chaos. A little more consideration would have been appropriate here - we could have handled a change a week or two in advance, but not in this extremely short-term manner. It seems that only profit is in the foreground here, while the needs of the bride and groom are completely ignored . This is simply unacceptable. And as if that wasn't enough, we were subsequently charged a "confetti fee" of €250 - because of a few burst balloons. It was completely overlooked that our guests swept the dirty outdoor area themselves in suits on Saturday morning. The audacity of asking us to pay for it really tops it off.

Nice place to stop for a break for hikers and walkers on the Schwalm. Beautiful, very large terrace with huge parasols. Here you can sit quietly and comfortably. Coffee and cake 🎂 ☕️ are not very convincing, but quite expensive (20€ for 2 cups of coffee and 2 pieces of crumble cake), just a typical excursion restaurant.

Celebrated the wedding of my daughter and her wife on September 7th, 2024. What can I say, it was indescribably beautiful. The food, the drinks, the service, the ambience was so great. The staff exudes such calm and friendliness. The Free wedding ceremony in the garden and the entertainment afterwards with Prosecco and tarte flambée was so fitting. The highlight was the live cooking with pasta tossed in a parmesan wheel. With toppings of your choice. All in all, an unforgettable day and I think I can speak on behalf of all the guests especially in the name of the wedding couple. Just thank you. We had a very cozy evening with friendly service and the usual culinary quality.

Nice restaurant with a romantic atmosphere. The food was very delicious. However, I was horrified by the prices for one: they charge €6 for 0.15 liters of wine. And I was really looking forward to a glass of wine. I then switched to the “Lümonade”, which was also very tasty.

We were there for breakfast with our "breakfast group". Breakfast quality and service were excellent. The staff was very attentive and responded sensitively to our wishes.

We sat on the terrace and ate. We therefore cannot rate the rooms. The food was very tasty. We had to access the menu using a QR code, which I personally don't like. The service was friendly and attentive. There was also live music playing. We liked it and would like to come back

Went on a moped and then stopped and ate at the Lüttelforster mill. Were surprised how beautiful it was there. A great place to visit and a beautiful area with a great atmosphere. Everything was great. We'd love to come back

Very nice atmosphere, great staff, highly recommended and always worth a visit

Location is great, but unfortunately the restaurant is not. The prices are premium, but unfortunately the food is not. Steak ordered medium rare, but received well done. Meat quality wasn't the best either. Rice tasted like cardboard. At least vegetables were great. Then we received the wrong food, that can happen. But there were three service people involved (including the boss) and not a single one apologized. In addition, the subsequent delivery took a very long time. This is how you ruin an entire evening. That was our last experience, but it was roughly the same as the last time. Service and cuisine simply fail to meet expectations.

Nice shop in a very nice area. Only the restaurant seems to be for people from out of town

July 2024 • Friends Yesterday, Saturday, we were at the mill with our class reunion. We had a room slightly separated from the large audience. The ambience and the food were great! Allergies were also addressed. The service was very friendly and served us far back in the garden outside of the public traffic. Big praise and thanks for that! Great location. Nice service in the beer garden. Delicious meals Unfortunately I found the portion size a bit small. Therefore one point deducted.
