I was here as a service provider for a wedding. Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is fantastically beautiful and the combination of indoors and outdoors is simply great. The food was served as a grill buffet and was very tasty.

The ambience is nice. The outdoor area invites you to linger. The service is friendly and the price-performance ratio is good.

Looks nice location, great service

The planning of our wedding at the Lüttelforster Mühle started promisingly. The team was easy to reach and seemed eager to fulfill our wishes. But shortly before the wedding the shock came: We were assured that we could use the room to decorate the day before the wedding - provided it wasn't rented out. About three weeks in advance we received confirmation that the room was available, which gave us planning security. But just three days before the wedding the bad surprise came: the room was given to someone else at short notice. This extremely short notice and completely unforeseen change threw our entire wedding planning into chaos. All preparations for Friday - DJ, technology, photo box, breakfast and hairdresser appointments - suddenly had to be overturned and reorganized. On the wedding day itself, we had to drive to the location early to decorate the entire room and outdoor area. This ruined our entire morning. There was no trace of joy or romance left. If we had known about this change in time, we could have planned differently. Instead, we as a bride and groom were left in the lurch and had to fight through the chaos alone. Although we were assured that the owner and our contact person would be there on the wedding day to support us, our contact person only showed up about two hours before the wedding ceremony began. So on our most important day we were faced with a completely chaotic scenario. Even though the location is visually appealing and the food and service were good, this fiasco - as well as two friendly couples who also wanted to get married there - finally made us reject the Lüttelforster Mühle. After this disastrous experience, we cannot recommend anyone to get married there. Such serious, arbitrary changes to plans are simply unacceptable. Three days before the wedding, it is impossible for a bride and groom to manage such changes without significant stress and chaos. A little more consideration would have been appropriate here - we could have handled a change a week or two in advance, but not in this extremely short-term manner. It seems that only profit is in the foreground here, while the needs of the bride and groom are completely ignored . This is simply unacceptable. And as if that wasn't enough, we were subsequently charged a "confetti fee" of €250 - because of a few burst balloons. It was completely overlooked that our guests swept the dirty outdoor area themselves in suits on Saturday morning. The audacity of asking us to pay for it really tops it off.

Nice place to stop for a break for hikers and walkers on the Schwalm. Beautiful, very large terrace with huge parasols. Here you can sit quietly and comfortably. Coffee and cake 🎂 ☕️ are not very convincing, but quite expensive (20€ for 2 cups of coffee and 2 pieces of crumble cake), just a typical excursion restaurant.

The schnitzel was very chewy for €28. The fried potatoes lukewarm. For the price you can expect more.

Celebrated the wedding of my daughter and her wife on September 7th, 2024. What can I say, it was indescribably beautiful. The food, the drinks, the service, the ambience was so great. The staff exudes such calm and friendliness. The Free wedding ceremony in the garden and the entertainment afterwards with Prosecco and tarte flambée was so fitting. The highlight was the live cooking with pasta tossed in a parmesan wheel. With toppings of your choice. All in all, an unforgettable day and I think I can speak on behalf of all the guests especially in the name of the wedding couple. Just thank you. We had a very cozy evening with friendly service and the usual culinary quality.

Nice restaurant with a romantic atmosphere. The food was very delicious. However, I was horrified by the prices for one: they charge €6 for 0.15 liters of wine. And I was really looking forward to a glass of wine. I then switched to the “Lümonade”, which was also very tasty.

Location is great, but unfortunately the restaurant is not. The prices are premium, but unfortunately the food is not. Steak ordered medium rare, but received well done. Meat quality wasn't the best either. Rice tasted like cardboard. At least vegetables were great. Then we received the wrong food, that can happen. But there were three service people involved (including the boss) and not a single one apologized. In addition, the subsequent delivery took a very long time. This is how you ruin an entire evening. That was our last experience, but it was roughly the same as the last time. Service and cuisine simply fail to meet expectations.

July 2024 • Friends Yesterday, Saturday, we were at the mill with our class reunion. We had a room slightly separated from the large audience. The ambience and the food were great! Allergies were also addressed. The service was very friendly and served us far back in the garden outside of the public traffic. Big praise and thanks for that! Nice restaurant with a spacious beer garden, delicious coffee, food and a mixed crowd. Unfortunately, the bill sometimes gets miscalculated; in our case, there was something there that we didn't even eat. But still, you feel very comfortable as a guest.

My brother celebrated his wedding there at the weekend. The location was beautiful. The rooms were all new and, above all, very clean. We felt very comfortable. What I would particularly like to highlight is the friendly staff. All employees were polite, helpful and played a big part in the great atmosphere.

Last week we got married in the Lü and our expectations were exceeded! The location itself is an absolute dream, with the beautiful restaurant, the large and green terrace and the Schwalm that flows past. The food, both the buffet with starters, main courses and desserts, as well as the cheese plate, as well as the breakfast the next day were excellent. The staff was always attentive and courteous and everyone always had a smile on their faces. Lü's easy and quick communication and flexibility also remained very positive in our minds when planning the wedding. The rooms were very nice, spacious and tidy! We also received extremely positive feedback about the Lü from family and friends! :) All in all, we couldn't have wished for better and this great day was made even better by the warmth that Lü brought! Thank you for everything! We'd love to come back! :)

Unfortunately, when we arrived, despite having a reservation (wedding party!), we received a very unfriendly welcome, the orders were taken and served incorrectly several times, the decoration was careless, as was the positioning of the seats, and the cutlery was partially contaminated. It's a shame, because the food itself was very tasty, even if the prices were relatively high. It should also be added that the service improved greatly over the course of the evening thanks to changes in staff. Unfortunately, “the mass had already been sung.” Let's hope the tip went to the right place...

I have an absolute “sweet tooth” and test many restaurants privately. I'm happy to pay a lot for good, honest food. Here: price vs. quality not justified! Sauces tasted like pre-packaged products. Prices for the food are not justified, it's almost like a rip-off - either consciously or because of ignorance. I have worked in good restaurants for over 20 years and know how to assess value for money. There is no balance here. It's a shame, because the location is fantastic, tastefully arranged and clean. If there was still a sensible cook there... It's a shame that it doesn't harmonize with the kitchen. It's not enough to have nice service. Unfortunately I was very disappointed!

We went here for lunch, parking is across the street. Nice location, there was also a bouncy castle set up there on the day we visited. Very nice service, we were greeted in a friendly manner, the menu left nothing to be desired, the food was beautifully prepared and very tasty, good price/performance ratio, we were very satisfied.

The beer garden is a real hit in the summer with a very pleasant atmosphere. Ideal for taking your dog for a walk along the beautiful river and then having a delicious meal at the mill. We also lovingly provided water for the dogs.

The Lüttelforster Mühle (or “Die LÜ” for short) is located in the middle of nowhere, but still a real recommendation. We used the LÜ as a base camp for beautiful bike tours into Schwalmtal and the surrounding area. Well-kept atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, etc. Overall, uncomplicated, not over-the-top - a recommendation 👍

Those who don't like what they do call it work, those who love it call it passion. The difference is noticeable in the result. In the renovated old mill, idyllically located on the Schwalm, the passion of the employees is visible everywhere. Everyone is friendly and professional, the service and ambience make every stay a pleasure. Thanks for that! Gladly again.

The location is very nice, very clean in the restaurant and outside area. The service is also very friendly. Today at 6 p.m. there were few tables occupied, we were able to sit down spontaneously in the restaurant, we were hungry. The food tastes terrible, even though we were hungry we couldn't eat much, and it's also absolutely overpriced. The service didn't ask us if we liked it... the full plates that were returned showed it. We are happy to pay for good quality, unfortunately we were disappointed a second time. We won't be coming anymore, you've lost us as guests. No recommendation!!!

Very nice atmosphere, beer garden on a busy street.

We had booked a table for 4 people for Easter Sunday evening. After arriving at the restaurant, we stood dripping (there was a heavy thunderstorm outside) at reception, where the young man, visibly overwhelmed, went through the reservation list. After what seemed like 5 minutes, he wanted to show us the table. When we asked where we could leave our jackets and umbrellas (= wet!), he made a vague hand gesture in the direction of a rather overcrowded coat rack, "There." The reserved table was against a wall right next to the passage to the rear dining room, which, like the front dining room, was almost full, so the service staff ran back and forth past our table in a hectic manner. Not very comfortable. A friendly waitress took our drink requests and brought the menu and after the drinks were served we were able to order our starters, which were served quite quickly. Attractively prepared, good quality and very tasty. However, it became clear that our table was quite small, as the starters were served on rectangular plates. Then nothing happened at first. The table of 6 in front of us, which had only been occupied after us, already had a second round of drinks. It was only after a few waves that we became aware of us. The main course and other drinks were ordered. The table in front of us, which had ordered its main courses later than us, was served. We watched. The service staff had now broken down to a running pace and our mood sank because we were hungry. After almost 45 minutes the main course finally arrived. Visually, the two “mill pans” were completely overloaded, as if they had been carelessly shoveled on top. The side beans were not canned, but were as flabby as they were tasteless, and the diced fried potatoes were unsalted. Only the meat was tasty. The same applied to the Wiener Schnitzel: meat ok. , side dish oh dear. The corn-fed chicken fillet in a herb coating tasted very good, but what was irritating was the bone, which for me has no place in a fillet. The sauce for the chicken had a thick, unappetizing skin and the fried mushrooms had a rubbery consistency with no taste. The "potato waffle" was original and delicious. The side salad, beautifully served in a glass, which was served twice with the Wiener Schitzel, was delicate, also because of the dressing. After we expressed our criticism to the waitress, we were served dessert, digestif and espresso "on the house", but that couldn't lessen our disappointment. Over €213 for a rather mediocre Easter dinner ☹. I don't know if things are different on normal weekdays, but an institution like the Lüttelforster Mühle should actually be able to do this on public holidays too. Probably without us from now on.

We were there on March 15th. for a musical dinner followed by an overnight stay in the LÜ. The presentation was inspiring, as was the perfect organization of the delicious 3-course menu with 3 different main courses to choose from. Many thanks to the entire, very friendly team.

Chic restaurant with delicious food

On February 29th, 2024 we celebrated our wedding in the LÜ. The planning and implementation were top notch, as was the ambience and food. Our wishes were completely taken into account and the LÜ is also very flexible when it comes to special requests. A beautiful location with clear recommendations.

A hotel with a beautiful ambience located directly on the forest and the Schwalm. The rooms are clean and comfortably furnished and equipped with air conditioning. The breakfast is perfectly fine for the price and the buffet was lovingly prepared with fresh fruit and homemade fruit quark. The breakfast lady was very friendly and accommodating. You can eat very well in the restaurant and enjoy a really nice evening in the beer garden. The service is friendly and attentive. All in all, it was 2 very nice days that definitely have to be repeated

Very nice location, has been beautifully renovated in the last 2 years. The young owners always have new ideas for events. We celebrated our wedding there and we didn't miss anything. Perfect service and great food. After a pleasant night in the honeymoon suite, we were treated to a hearty breakfast. The location is very nice and you can stop off there after a walk. There are always changing menus (depending on the season) and a manageable menu with great, tasty dishes. We are happy to recommend LÜ.

Food was good although the waiting time was long. Inn ice cold almost every woman. Guest sat at the table in a jacket and at least a scarf. Impossible

This restaurant is really an absolute recommendation. We were not only impressed by the modern menu and the food we ordered, but also by the outstanding friendliness and customer focus of the staff. If you want to spend a few nice hours in a beautiful, stylish atmosphere at affordable prices, this is the right place for you! We would like to come more often now.

We were there for the Boxing Day buffet and were disappointed. The food was okay but nothing more. There was plenty of choice, but the quality left a lot to be desired. The colorful vegetables were overcooked and at best resembled canteen food. The ox cheeks were sometimes as tough as leather, the dessert was reminiscent of a ready-made product and was only refilled when asked twice. Unfortunately the parmesan pasta was cold. The cod was completely dried out and the batter was soggy. All in all disappointing and not worthy of a holiday buffet for 54 per person. We won't be coming back, at least not to eat.

Yesterday we were there with 6 people for the Christmas buffet. No, it didn't really appeal to us. For 54 euros per person we expected more than pork schnitzel with champions (it felt like more mushrooms than meat), a dry crusty roast and very dry cod. The goose leg was good. There were no other main courses. Side dishes were available, but there was nothing special. We didn't really understand why there was pasta in a parmesan loaf for Christmas, especially since the pasta was cold and the cheese didn't stick to the pasta. Starters were good and desserts were ok. We imagined Christmas dinner to be different, especially at that price. And yes, I mentioned it on site and was told that you would let me know in the kitchen. Our conclusion, we will not be coming back. I was actually going to give it 2.5 stars, but since the staff were very friendly and attentive, I'm giving it 3 stars.

We celebrated the Christmas party with you with our practice. The atmosphere was very cozy and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was perfect from the starter to the dessert. Very tasty and the price-performance ratio is right. Not a long wait. The only drawback was that we ordered food at half past five, but unfortunately there was only one portion of Camembert available for the starter. But that's not a star deduction for me. Waren am 16.12. zum Hochzeitstagessen in der Lü… das erste mal. Wirklich sehr schönes Ambiente von außen. Einladend, warme Atmosphäre. Innen sehr schön aber auch etwas kühl von der Temperatur und der Ausstattung. Ausstattung hochwertig und gemütlich aber irgendwie wurde der Eindruck von außen nicht komplett nach innen übertragen. Essen wirklich phantastisch. Geschmacklich toll und nett angerichtet. Wir hatten von der Sonderkarte Hirschgulasch und Gänsekeule. P e r f e k t….. Preise der Qualität angemessen. Service immer da aber nicht zu aufdringlich. Alles in allem wirklich sehr zu Empfehlen. Kommen sehr gerne wieder und freuen uns schon auf den Biergarten wenn es wieder wärmer wird…

Das ästhetische Gebäude der Lue liegt in einer wunderbaren Landschaft. Der Innenraum ist etwas kühl. Das Personal freundlich und das Essen war köstlich und reichhaltig. Gerne komme ich hier wieder her und kann es nur jedem empfehlen

Wir haben in der LÜ unsere Hochzeit, nicht sehr groß, sondern im erweiterten Familienkreis, gefeiert. Es war alles absolut wunderbar. Angefangen vom "Probeessen", welches wir "Inkognito" ;- ) unternehmen hatten, über die tolle Betreuung und Inspirationen durch Lena bis hin zum sehr sehr guten Buffet und dem aufmerksamen und herzlichen Personal hat alles gepasst. Toll war auch, dass wir die Scheune am Vorabend unserer Feier in aller Ruhe dekorieren, und so allem eine persönliche Note verleihen konnten. Wir empfehlen die LÜ sehr gerne weiter und werden auch künftig sicher, auch ohne "Event", gerne zum Essen kommen (das a la carte - Essen, was wir als "Probeessen" bestellt hatten, war ein Gedicht!).

Heute spontan das Restaurant aufgesucht und Mittags gegessen. Wir haben ein sehr leckeres Essen genossen - mein highlight war das Wildschwein Schnitzel aus der Saisonkarte… mit Haselnusskruste - yummi. Auch super lecker die Haus-LÜmonade 😄 Wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben Anfang Oktober unsere Hochzeit in der Lü gefeiert und waren rundum begeistert. Lena hat uns im Vorfeld super betreut und stand uns bei Fragen immer zur Seite. Am Tag unserer Hochzeit lief alles perfekt. Das Service Team war aufmerksam und keiner musste lange auf Getränke warten. Auch kleine Änderungen wurden am Tag selber noch kurzfristig umgesetzt. Das Essen war hervorragend und einfach spitze. Von unseren Gästen hören wir ebenfalls nur positives. Wir würden uns immer wieder für die Lü entscheiden. Wir wünschen dem gesamten Team für die Zukunft alles Gute. Wir werden uns bestimmt wiedersehen.

Ich bedanke mich herzlich für diese Begegnung. Ein phantastisches Frühstück, welches mit so viel Liebe zubereitet wurde und ein sensationeller Service - Achtsamkeit, Wertschätzung, Menschlichkeit, Freude und Herzlichkeit. Alles was eine besondere Begegnung ausmacht - besonders wenn man auf Geschäftsreise ist. Ein großes Lob an Tamara, Eva und das Team!

Von der Vorspeise war ich noch sehr angetan. Hauptspeise Wienerschnitzel war leider Hart wie eine Schuhsohle. Kam eindeutig aus der Pommes Friteuse. Das geht garnicht. Nachtisch Eiskaffee war wieder top. Hier ist noch viel Luft nach oben.

Aufmersamer und wirklich sehr freundlicher Service. So etwas findet man heute selten. Das Essen war auch sehr gut und reichhaltig. Das Schnitzel hätte für meinen Geschmack ein wenig zarter sein können, aber dafür würde ich jetzt keinen Stern abziehen. Auf jeden Fall empfehlen wir die Lüttelforster Mühle gerne weter.

Wir sind begeistert. Ein sehr schönes Hotelzimmer, auch für unseren Hund, eine Wohlfühloase. Die Umgebung ist nicht zu toppen. Alle Menschen sind sehr tierlieb. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Der Service war gut. Da gab es wirklich nichts zu meckern. Die Lage ist ebenfalls gut. Aber das war es leider auch bereits. Allgemein ist das Essen in meinen Augen absolut überteuert. Für einen Salat mit Hähnchen Stückchen über 20,-€ ist schon eine Hausnummer und muss man sich als Gastgeber erstmal trauen. Zumal es mengenmäßig auch nicht die 20,-€ wert war. Ein wenig Brot zum Salat hätte dem ganzen gut getan. Der Geschmack war ok. Tipp an die Küche. Wenn frische Himbeeren zu einem Dressing verarbeitet werden, ist es fürs Mundgefühl angenehmer, wenn es passiert wird. Ohne passieren hat man das Gefühl, man würde auf Sand kauen.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit in der Lüttelforster Mühle gefeiert und es war ein Traum! Die freie Trauung mit sanftem plätschern des kleinen Bachs im Hintergrund und den riesigen, alten Bäumen hat kein Auge trocken gelassen. Für den restlichen Tag und Abend hatten wir die Scheune inkl. einem privaten Stück Biergarten direkt davor. Es war einfach perfekt. Die Atmosphäre in der Scheune hätte nicht besser sein können. Die Kellner waren allesamt absolut professionell und zuvorkommend. Und die Organisation, bei der uns Lena im Vorfeld begleitet hat, lief unkompliziert und reibungslos. Wir sind so glücklich unsere Hochzeit in der Lüttelforster Mühle, direkt im Grünen gefeiert zu haben. Vielen Dank!

Gestern dort Hochzeit gefeiert. Super Location ,tolles Buffet und der Service einfach klasse. Die Zimmer sehr ansprechend, geräumig und sogar mit Hund zu beziehen, das Frühstück am Morgen war reichhaltig und gut. Hier kNn Super gefeiert werden, wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder. 👍

Wir haben in der Lü dieses Jahr unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und waren rundum zufrieden. Von der Begleitung vor der Hochzeit, bei der man uns jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand, bis hin zum großen Tag. Das ganze Personal hat uns wirklich einen Traumhaften Tag beschert wo nichts gefehlt hat. Danke dafür!
