We had a really great dinner. Very delicious and very authentic.

The food is good and the service is very friendly, however, you have to wait about an hour for your food.

A spontaneous romantic dinner on a Thursday evening – no reservation, and we arrived very early in the evening, around 6 pm. WinterGarden was "open" to us even though we were the only customers. The service, including the waiters and waitresses, was very warm and incredibly helpful, friendly, and efficient. The meal: tapas for all tastes, each one as delicious as the next. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm – the bottle of Spanish wine was a wonderful discovery. The only downside: we'll have to go back at least twice to explore the rest of the menu and try everything ;-) ... I highly recommend it, but I think it's best to make a reservation if you want a table on a weekend or late afternoon/evening, around 8 pm.

The food here was unfortunately terrible. It was drenched in cheap rapeseed oil and totally overpriced.

The last two times we visited (without a pregnant woman), the experience was fine. However, today we had a truly awful experience. We wanted to eat there spontaneously and asked if we could just walk in. Initially, it seemed like it wouldn't be a problem. However, since my friend is pregnant, we asked if we could sit at a proper table instead of using bar stools. The somewhat older woman behind the bar immediately snapped at us, telling us to take the bar stools, ask the server, or leave. When we spotted an empty table with a bench, we politely asked the other server if it was free, as there was no "reserved" sign. The woman behind the bar immediately intervened again, this time in an even harsher tone, saying that there were only bar stools available and nothing else (even though, according to her, we "could" have asked for other seats). I pointed out that we had asked in a perfectly normal tone, that there was nothing wrong with that, and that she could have answered us normally. One of the waitresses was visibly uncomfortable with the woman's behavior and apologized, but we were so shocked by her disrespectful and rude behavior that we left the restaurant immediately. It's a shame; that's a sure way to drive away customers. Unfortunately, this woman is already known for her behavior there…

Good Spanish restaurant, very tasty food. Unfortunately, the dishes arrived too quickly.

I ate at the Luna y Sol Tapas Bar and Cerveceria today. The tuna and cream cheese custard with red onions, volcano pepper, and baguette was delicious. The dates with almond filling wrapped in bacon were also delicious, along with the fried baby squid with alioli – a delicious starter. We tried various tapas, including chicken breast fillet in mango sauce and Iberico pork loin in sherry cream sauce. The homemade sangria and Agua de Valencia are good and go perfectly with the dishes. We'd be happy to go again.

Super nice ambience and great food

Great location, top-quality food and menu with a wide selection. A very pleasant atmosphere, a conservatory with small table fireplaces. Excellent service and excellent value for money. Simply fantastic for groups or couples! Highly recommended.

We ordered tapas there, including salmon tartare. The salmon tartare had a very strong odor (sweet, sewer-like smell). So we didn't eat it. I complained. The waitress didn't smell it. She just said we still had to pay for it. It was a real shame about this experience.

It was an anniversary celebration. The welcome drink took a very long time to arrive. Then the food, too. It didn't taste very good and was sometimes cold. The seats on the terrace were very nice, though.

The food was okay, but the portion was way too small. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Extremely small, so it was a disaster for the price.

I don't know if we just caught a bad day or if it's always like this. 20 minutes after arriving, we still didn't have our menus, 40 minutes later, the drinks arrived, and 75 minutes later, the food. The patatas bravas had absolutely nothing to do with Spanish patatas bravas. The chorizo ​​had a strange consistency, and the tinto de verano was, we suspect, simply bad sangria. The service was attentive and apologized several times for the long wait. It's a shame, but it wasn't really Spanish tapas. There are countless better ones around.

Normally, I'm always extremely satisfied. Only this time, the service wasn't good. They forgot parts of our order, and then we sat for over half an hour with empty plates. And that was even though the restaurant was at most half full. But the food was, as always, delicious.

We went to Lina y Sol yesterday on the recommendation of friends. First of all, the food was absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow. We had to wait a very long time for our food. We only ordered mixed appetizers and waited at least an hour. They repeatedly wanted to bring us drinks we hadn't ordered. Unfortunately, this also reflected in the bill. Drinks were listed that we hadn't ordered, and some dishes were listed twice, even though we had only ordered them once. We actually wanted to order dessert, but after no service for half an hour, we immediately asked for the bill. But the food was still very, very delicious!

Great tapas and sangria. The service, food, and drinks were perfect. The seating is very comfortable and quiet in the back of the property. We were only in Bad Homburg on vacation and would otherwise stop by more often.

Very cozy restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating. We were there as a group of four with the boys and the service was really friendly.

It was really bad. When we got there, they didn't even say hello; they just ignored us. When we finally sat down after five minutes, they didn't give us the menu, so we were seated right there, and after 20 minutes, we left because we didn't even have the menu. The staff just weren't very well informed. They had no idea what was going on. So we left and found something else.

The seating here is lovely, in a quiet courtyard, lovingly planted with hydrangeas. The sangria and tapas were delicious, although the latter were all served cold. Unfortunately, reorders were forgotten several times (it was also very busy), so we left hungry. Given the prices and portions, I expect a bit more. €6 for three slices of baguette with aioli is quite a statement.

The food was disappointing—neither authentic nor flavorful, and extremely oily. Several of us had stomach aches the next day. It was significantly overpriced for the standard offered. On the plus side, however, the friendly service was worth mentioning. Price per person: €60–70

This evening we went to Luna y Sol for the first time and were completely disappointed by the end of the evening. The sangria we ordered was watery, the fruit wasn't particularly fresh, and the traces of red wine were at the level of a tetra pack. On the other hand, the carafe had very questionable greasy fingerprints... The six different tapas plates (served after about an hour of waiting), each costing a good €7-9, were also of poor quality. Unloved attempts at seasoning and watery Dutch tomatoes made for a run-of-the-mill taste experience. They generously served three tiny slices of baguette, so half a slice per plate! Upon request, they brought "extra bread," which left me anxiously awaiting the bill. These slices were promptly charged an extra €1.50. All in all, completely overpriced considering the terrible quality. To top it all off, we had to wash our hands in the restroom, where carelessness and questionable cleanliness were evident in every crack. This restaurant will definitely remain a unique experience. P.S. What really tops it all off is the owner's irritating, ignorant, and even cheeky response. Anyone who "runs" a restaurant with such unqualified or inadequate skills and who deals flippantly with qualified criticism should definitely not work in the restaurant industry! Of course, we raised our justified criticism on-site and complained, but apart from a timid apology to the young, somewhat overwhelmed waitress, we received no other, more appropriate response! I then told the young lady that her boss could look at my comment online. Terrible from start to finish! And I'm not alone in that opinion...

Service was very friendly, the food was a disaster. I'll start with the aioli, which tasted completely artificial, almost inedible. We ordered the appetizer plate for two people, which contained nothing Spanish except cheap sausage and cheese, including two slices of Jagdwurst or something similar, not even a Spanish salami, and all for €20! After that, we had calamari, which you couldn't taste because it was just thick, fried batter. The anchovies were sloppy and totally dry, as well as tasteless, and actually inedible. The only food we could eat were the chicken wings, which were quite good. To drink, we had two beers and a small Rader and paid €80, an absolute disgrace for the size and quality of the food. The ambiance is nice, but it doesn't help with the poor food. We've had this experience several times over the years and just wanted to try it again; this was truly the last time.

We were there for Sunday lunch; I had reserved outside for 6 people the previous Monday. It wasn't a problem; the response to the reservation was really quick and friendly. During our visit, I'd say it was moderately busy, although there were also guests who hadn't reserved, and they easily got a seat. However, I can imagine it getting quite busy in the evening, so I would always make a reservation, at least for evening visits, to be on the safe side. We were early, before opening time, and were still greeted cheerfully, were able to sit down, and order water (because it's warm...). The service from the very beginning – top-notch!! Truly. Good-humored and funny, patient with us and our questions, not a single mistake in the order (which wouldn't be surprising, given the amount of food we ordered), and quick, too. Honestly, I've rarely felt so comfortable. I think we ordered the whole menu. Everyone had something different, only a few duplicates. We were able to try each other's dishes and were simply thrilled with everything. Delicious, delicious, delicious. I'm a vegetarian myself, and I'm disappointed by the salad selection in pretty much every restaurant that isn't specifically vegetarian. Not so here! We had two different ones on the table, each one more appetizing than the last, and just as delicious as they looked. No one was disappointed; we were absolutely stuffed by the end (there was no room for dessert, unfortunately...), and all our plates were empty. Many thanks to the whole team, big compliments, and see you soon, because there's still so much I want to try... ;)))

Great place for Spanish tapas in a heart of Bad Homburg. Good flavours, well cooked and plenty of choice

Not recommended – the food was poorly prepared and extremely overpriced. We had to wait a very long time for our food and had to repeatedly call for attention. You can't always use the excuse of a staff shortage – it's also about interacting with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

We were there for brunch: Super friendly staff, selection Okay. Some really tasty things. The roll/bread selection was a bit limited, and for that price, it would be nice to have a coffee included.

Beautiful place, very characteristic and welcoming. The staff is very prepared, professional and kind. Unfortunately the food was not as I expected, some dishes were good, others not. The typical taste and smells of Spanish cuisine were not there. I must also say that I expected more of a Tapas service, but the dishes were small like Tapas at an exaggerated price. For an evening with friends, aperitif & wine is fine because there is a nice atmosphere.

We went for dinner spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised. The interior is very nice and the beer garden is fantastic. The service was excellent and the advice was good. The food reminded us of a vacation in Spain.

Unser heutiger Besuch hat uns leider nicht überzeugt – wir hatten uns ein stimmiges kulinarisches Erlebnis erhofft, wurden jedoch in mehrfacher Hinsicht enttäuscht. Der Salat war frisch und reichlich, allerdings war das Hähnchenfleisch bereits hier trocken und zäh. Die Paella war insgesamt nicht genießbar: vertrocknete Muscheln, hartes Hähnchenfleisch und kaum essbares Kaninchen. Auf unsere Bitte nach etwas Soße, um das Gericht etwas genießbarer zu machen, wurde uns ein kleines Schälchen Salsa – vermutlich aus der Flasche – gebracht, das zusätzlich mit 2 € berechnet wurde. Das fanden wir in der Situation wenig entgegenkommend. Da das Kaninchen kaum angerührt blieb, baten wir darum, es für den Hund mitnehmen zu dürfen. Stattdessen wurde uns lediglich ein Aluminiumschälchen zum Selbsteinpacken hingestellt. Auch das hat uns irritiert. Bei einem Preis von 115 € hätten wir deutlich mehr Qualität und Service erwartet. Wir zahlen gerne für gutes Essen – in diesem Fall stimmte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis jedoch ganz und gar nicht. Aus diesem Grund sehen wir von einem weiteren Besuch ab.

With some reservations - the chicken wasn't cooked through - but we got new ones. Service was friendly but also messy! Patatas bravas were missing the green sauce. There is no chicken in garlic oil on the menu - nor any tuna croquettes - which I usually find on the menu at a tapas bar!

Nice location, good for chilling. The menu isn't overly original, but okay, so is the food we ordered. Service was inconsistent, I left again because no one came. Usually a bit crowded.

I had high hopes for this place after wanting to try it for quite some time now. Perhaps we came on a bad night - Friday - but the restaurant was understaffed - both kitchen and staff. It took us almost two hours to get our food, also, quite average food. (Recommendation for the restaurant- is to offer a complimentary baguette and/or some finger food when delays are so significant. It will make a big difference and won’t leave your customers hangry and irritable). The ambiance is fun and the place has potential - but not worth the wait.

The food isn't really tasty, just ok. The cleared dishes with leftover food that are thrown away are partly mixed up with the tapas freshly delivered from the kitchen.

We go there often, it's very nice and tastes good, at least most of it. When it's full, sometimes the things aren't quite as fresh, they've been in the oven too long, etc., that can happen. However, I think the price-performance ratio could be better. I would say it's quite expensive for slightly above average quality. Still, very nice atmosphere, nice staff (always quite loud inside, unfortunately, if that doesn't bother you) and, as I said, the food is also delicious. So definitely worth a visit!

My husband and I visited this cozy restaurant on the weekend. With a glass of Spanish red wine and delicious tapas, we left the stressful everyday life behind us.

The food is top and the atmosphere is beautifully designed. Unfortunately, the kitchen was understaffed and the waiters also complained about not enough staff, which meant we waited about an hour for our dessert. Overall it was a very nice stay.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was not particularly pleasant. Our waitress, a blonde lady with a strong Russian accent, was rude and inattentive. She seemed annoyed when we had a question about the menu and made us wait far too long - both when ordering and when paying. She also seemed to have little interest in whether we were happy. It's a shame because the food was good, but the service really spoiled the overall impression.

Very nice tapas bar. Be sure to reserve. In summer you can also sit outside. I had no problems finding very tasty, gluten-free tapas on the large menu and meat lovers will also get their money's worth. Absolutely okay in terms of price. The crowning conclusion was a perfect Barraquito.
