Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city we decided to drop into Ludwigs Bier Und Brot ,been here before on previous holidays to Dusseldorf, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this pub, interior is superb, an island style serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its just a great locals pub to unwind in. We were here on a cold and rainy night in late December, pub was toasty warm as was the welcome from the barmaid, we luckily managed to get a table were two altbiers from Schlosser Brauerei landed on our table, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. A bit fan of the altbiers from Dusseldorf, dark,slightly malty and bursting with flavour, when served freezing cold as in this pub its just a totally delicious beer indeed, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Ludwigs Bier Und Brot we had a great time. Ludwigs Bier Und Brot is easy to locate along Mertensgasse . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 6pm. A wonderful pub,well worth checking out if you're in the Old Town of Dusseldorf.

Ludwigs Bier&Brot on Mertensgasse was a superb local tavern me and my twin visited on a four day trip to Düsseldorf.Located in a superb area'this traditional tavern has a superb old world interior with nice fixtures and features and brilliant decor and was a superb tavern to have a few beers. We visited here late in the evening and this tavern was very busy and it took us a while to get served.When we visited here we had a few Altbiers which were superb and were really well priced.This is a superb tavern on a brilliant street and well worth visiting and is easy to locate from Heinrich-Heine Allee U-Bahn stop its a short walk.(This is my first review of Ludwigs Bier&Brot). Eine urige Kneipe,die mit Düsseldorf eng verbunden ist. Sei es mit dem traditionsreichen Fußball Club,oder im Eishockeybereich. In dieser Kneipe ist sogar ein Karnevalsverein,mit alten Traditionen beherbergt. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Getränke werden im gutgekühlten und sauberen Gläsern,mit humanen Preisen an den Gast weitergegeben .Die Stimmung ist grandios und die Musik fantastisch. Man kann ihr Kleinigkeiten essen,die wohlschmeckend und preiswert sind.Hier herrscht ein multikultureller Kundenstamm,der auch keine homophoben Probleme hat. Super,danke das es so etwas noch gibt!!!! When all clubs close, there is Ludwig to save the night :) Good music, nice atmosphere. You can get a coffee and something to eat at 4 in the morning. Great way to finish the night in Altstadt.

Kneipe in der Fußgängerzone, die bietet was man von solch einer Kneipe erwarten kann. Urige Atmosphäre, nette Leute und moderate Preise!

This was a great tavern we visited as we were bimbling around the Old Town and what a great little find. The interior is awesome,it's got a traditional pine look that is so prevalent in the pubs and bars throughout Dusseldorf ,fantastic decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar,it's Old Town location adds to the alore of this bar and all in all its just one amazing bar to visit. We were here on a Friday night and this place was busy ,we got a nice beer each and opted to have Schlösser alt and these were served in tip top condition,we just chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in here. I love the variety of of alt beers available throughout Dusseldorf and Schlösser alt is a particular favourite of mine. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with the great bar. Ludwigs Bier Und Brot ( Beer and Bread ) is easy to locate on Mertensgasse in an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. A great beer bar and well worth checking out.

То, что называют "кнайпе": тут собираются местные попить пива, и среди шумного Дюссельдорфа это очень немецкое место. Одно из важных достоинств - бармены настоящие подвижники и фанаты своего дела. Браво!
