Lucullus in Königstein im Taunus

Hervorragende Speisen, Pasta und Fisch auf den Punkt. Brot und Olivenöl sehr köstlich. Immer wieder zu empfehlen.

Immer ein Besuch wert sehr freundliche Bedienung, super leckeres Essen, schöne Atmosphäre.

Nach langer Zeit wollte ich mal wieder im Lucullus essen gehen (zuletzt war ich dort vor Corona und es hatte uns sehr gut gefallen). Obwohl nur rund 9 Tische belegt waren schienen die 3 Kellner (bzw 2 der 3) überfordert zu sein. Wir saßen die ersten 15min ohne Karte am Tisch, der eine Aperitif wurde erstmal vergessen und dem Nachbartisch wurden viele Gerichte vorgestellt, von denen wir erst nach der Bestellung erfahren haben. Das wäre tatsächlich ziemlich vorteilhaft gewesen, da die Karte im Restaurant komplett von der im Internet abweicht und wir anhand dieser überhaupt im Restaurant reserviert hatten. Da die Karte ohnehin sehr überschaubar ist, hatten wir uns für Gerichte entschieden, die leider nicht unseren Vorstellungen gerecht wurden. Wir wurden zwar andauernd von einem der Kellner gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist, aber am Ende wollten wir dann auch nichts sagen, da er bei Nachfragen unsererseits selber erstmal nachfragen musste… Sehr schade, da ich das Restaurant als Bereicherung für Königstein in Erinnerung hatte.

Ein absolut fantastisches Restaurant! Schon beim Betreten fühlt man sich herzlich willkommen. Das Personal ist hervorragend – super freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Die Kellner sind unglaublich zuvorkommend und immer hilfsbereit und haben stets ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Die Atmosphäre ist warm und elegant, perfekt für ein entspanntes Mittag- oder Abendessen. Das Essen war einfach köstlich, und zusammen mit der exzellenten Weinauswahl war das gesamte Erlebnis erstklassig. Ein perfekter Ort für ein Mittagessen mit toller Atmosphäre, hervorragendem Service und fantastischer Küche. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir waren am Vatertag nach einer langen Lucullus Pause wieder dort Essen. Mit den beiden netten Service Kräften: Marco und Fabio, ist der Service wieder auf seinem guten Niveau zurück. Die Küche ist schon seit langem mit mutigen und eben auch anderen Ansätzen auf einem hohen Niveau. Der Service war lange, leider dem nicht mehr gewachsen. Jetzt bringen Marco und Fabio mit Spaß an der Arbeit und echter Freundlichkeit wieder die schöne Atmosphäre zurück. Danke für den schönen Abend!

Meine Erwartungen waren höher als die Realität.

Wir hatten am Ostermontag ein wunderbares Abendessen mit Freunden. Das Essen war hervorragend, die Portionen großzügig, der Service freundlich und kompetent, die Atmosphäre entspannt und die Weinempfehlung perfekt. Wir finden, die Qualität des Essens hat sich seit unserem letzten Besuch noch verbessert. Service, Atmosphäre und Wein waren wie immer erstklassig.

Waren hier zum Mittagessen. Das Restaurant war kaum belegt. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen Wagyu Rind Carpaccio mit Trüffel und Spaghetti Vongole waren excellent. Die Qualität geht mit einem hohen Preis einher - eine Adresse für besondere Anlässe.

Ich hatte von einem gehobenen Restaurant mehr erwartet; der Preis war für das Gebotene recht hoch. Insgesamt war ich etwas enttäuscht.

Leider war mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant sehr negativ. Es herrscht eindeutig ein ungesundes Arbeitsumfeld; die Angestellten sind überarbeitet und haben keine angemessenen Arbeitsbedingungen. Das spiegelt sich auch im Service wider, der oft gestresst und unaufmerksam wirkt. Was das Essen angeht, lässt die Qualität angesichts der Preise sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Gerichte entsprechen nicht den Erwartungen und rechtfertigen den Preis in keiner Weise. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen. Es gibt definitiv bessere Alternativen, sowohl was die Qualität als auch die Arbeitsmoral angeht.

Wir haben unseren Kennenlerntag im Lucullus gefeiert und waren begeistert. Das Essen war geschmacklich und optisch sensationell gut, das Personal sehr freundlich, kompetent und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es war wie ein kleiner Italienurlaub. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Sehr gerne schon bald wieder.

Wir waren am Wochenende wieder im Lucculus. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass sowohl das Service-Team als auch der Koch nicht mehr dort tätig sind. Das ist sehr bedauerlich, da genau diese Konstanz und Qualität über Jahre hinweg ein wesentlicher Grund für unsere Zufriedenheit war. Am Ende steht und fällt ein Restaurant mit Service und Küche. Die Preise wurden erneut angehoben, qualitativ konnten wir bei unseren bestellten Gerichten jedoch keine entsprechende Weiterentwicklung feststellen. Der Service war höflich und aufmerksam. Wenn man jedoch ein Restaurant gerade wegen seines besonderen Charmes und eingespielten Teams geschätzt hat, ist es enttäuschend, wenn dieses Fundament plötzlich komplett fehlt. Schade.

Das Essen war köstlich und die Mitarbeiter sehr nett und höflich super Essen super Service kann ich nur empfehlen ob Mann ein romantisches Essen haben will oder mit Freunde Zeit verbringen Lucullus ist das beste Wahl

Der Weinservice wurde von allen Gästen sehr gelobt, insbesondere weil das Personal sein Engagement für die hohe Qualität aller Speisen und Getränke unter Beweis stellte. Vielen Dank!

Valentinstagsbesuch enttäuschend – Service und Ambiente unzureichend Mein Mann und ich hatten für den Valentinstag einen Tisch reserviert und uns auf einen besonderen Abend gefreut, insbesondere wegen des angekündigten Menüs. Leider entsprach unser Besuch in keiner Weise unseren Erwartungen. Wir wurden bei der Buchung (und der Bestätigung) nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass ein Teil der Tische im Außenbereich liegt. Unser Tisch war in einem Winterzelt ohne Bodenplatte (folglich ohne Dämmung), sodass trotz drei oben montierten Heizstrahlern für einen Bereich von sechs Zweiertischen und einem Gaskamin für diesen Bereich permanente Kälte von unten zog. Ein Platzwechsel näher zum Kamin brachte nur wenig Besserung. Andere Gäste an den Nachbartischen, insbesondere Damen mit dem Anlass angemessener festlicher Kleidung, hatten dasselbe Problem. Auch die außen, also direkt an der Zeltwand sitzenden Herren, froren im Laufe des Abends zusehends. Decken wurden auch auf Nachfrage nicht angeboten, es gäbe sie nicht. Sogar im Hauptbereich des Restaurants, der zum Außenbereich hin geöffnet war, sah ich mindestens ein Paar auch mit Winterjacken sitzen. Während unseres knapp zweistündigen Aufenthalts ging das Gas im Kamin aus, und es wurde schnell sehr kalt. Mehrfache Bitten an den Service, den Kamin wieder anzuzünden, blieben zunächst unbeantwortet oder wurden bei Nachfrage im Restaurant-Eingangsbereich mit „der Kamin ist kaputt“ abgetan. Zeitlich verzögert wurde dann doch die Gasflasche ausgetauscht. Auch beim Essen kam es zu erheblichen Problemen: Wir baten nach Antipasto und Primo um eine kurze Pause bis zum Secondo, da wir nicht „am Fließband“ essen wollten. Das Servicepersonal ignorierte unseren Wunsch zunächst, sodass der Secondo bereits kurz darauf kam, vor dem bestellten Wein. Noch bevor die Teller vor uns platziert wurden, erinnerten wir das Servicepersonal an die Pause, die Teller wurden wieder weggetragen. Einige Minuten später kam immerhin der bestellte Wein, aber auch ohne Präsentation der Flasche/Nennung des Jahrgangs etc.. Ca. 15 min später teilten wir dem Service mit, dass wir nun gerne den Secondo genießen möchten, doch die nächsten 30 Minuten vergingen, ohne dass dieser serviert wurde. Der Wein, den ich explizit zum Secondo bestellt hatte, war inzwischen nicht mehr auf Temperatur. Auf Nachfragen hin, wozu ich extra in den Eingangsbereich des Restaurants ging, bekamen wir nur die Antwort, wir sollten Geduld haben. Die Vorspeisen waren geschmacklich in Ordnung, über die Hauptgerichte kann ich nichts sagen, da wir den Abend wenige Minuten später durchgefroren schließlich vorzeitig abbrachen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist unter diesen Bedingungen völlig unzureichend. Auch Beobachtungen an anderen Tischen zeigten, dass das Servicepersonal offenbar nicht kontrolliert, ob die Gerichte vollständig serviert werden, teils andere Gäste auch in den Eingangsbereich gingen, weil sie endlos lange auf den bestellten Wein warteten und ihn dort selbst abholten, teils Gäste lange auf den Bezahlvorgang warteten oder zweimal bezahlen sollten. Vielleicht sollte dieses Restaurant sich 2027 auf den geschlossenen Restaurantbereich beschränken, dann könnte es ein netter Abend ohne Frieren und mit funktionierendem Service sein.

Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend mit vier Personen im Lokal. Ursprünglich war für fünf Personen reserviert, leider wurde eine Person krank, was mit "Perfekt, wir brauchen alle Plätze" kommentiert wurde. Nachdem die Bestellung aufgenommen war, wurde uns keine Weinkarte angeboten, erst auf Nachfrage. Der Wein wurde nicht präsentiert, die Flasche war schon offen, als sie gebracht wurde. Der Wein wurde nicht zum Verkosten angeboten, sondern einfach eingeschenkt, zuerst nur der Person, deren Aperitif schon ausgetrunken war, die anderen Personen am Tisch wurden nicht gefragt, ob sie auch schon Wein wollten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis beim Essen war für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Eines der beiden vegetarischen Pastagerichte war einfach Nudeln in Tomatensauce für über 20 Euro. Das Tatar als Vorspeise war gräulich-bräunlich und schmeckte nur nach Zitrone. Auch eine Dessertkarte wurde uns nur auf Nachfrage gebracht. Angeboten wurde z.B. ein Spanischer Käsekuchen in zwei Varianten, mit Kirschen oder mit Salted Caramel, bestellt war mit Salted Caramel, gebracht wurde mit Kirschen (auch eine Dame am Nachbartisch bekam ein falsches Gericht, es gab keine Entschuldigung, sondern als Kommentar "Das schmeckt doch auch gut"). Ambiente: Sehr dunkel, man konnte kaum die Speisekarte lesen. Fazit: Das war unser zweiter Besuch im Lucullus, vermutlich unser letzter.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal, gutem Essen und hervorragenden Weinen. Empfehlenswert!

Das Essen ist hervorragend, ebenso wie das entspannte und gemütliche Ambiente. Der Service ist gut, solange die Vorbereitungen für den nächsten Tag nicht beginnen. Es ist nicht kundenfreundlich, die lauten Arbeiten zu erledigen, da dann keine Gäste mehr da sind. Das hat das ansonsten positive Abendessenerlebnis getrübt. Ein Grund, nicht wiederzukommen.

Lucullus (Italian fine dining) - ein hervorragendes Restaurant im Herzen von Königstein. Das Lucullus überzeugt auf ganzer Linie und vereint alles, was einen gelungenen Restaurantbesuch ausmacht: eine Küche auf sehr hohem Niveau, einen überaus freundlichen, aufmerksamen Service und ein stilvolles, zugleich gemütliches Ambiente. Besonders angenehm ist auch der Außenbereich, in dem man besonders in den warmen Monaten wunderbar sitzen kann. Ob zum Mittagessen oder am Abend – ein Besuch lohnt sich immer. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas, ergänzt durch eine sehr schöne Auswahl an Weinen. Das Lucullus zählt mittlerweile zu unseren Lieblingsrestaurants in der Region, und wir freuen uns jedes Mal aufs Neue auf einen Besuch.

Yesterday, the two of us went to the restaurant and were looking forward to a relaxing evening. The food and the ambiance were lovely, however, an incident with a waiter made our visit quite unpleasant. Right at the beginning, my companion was kissed on both cheeks by the waiter without being asked – a completely unexpected and inappropriate gesture for her. Later, he spoke to her very directly several times and even offered her a glass of wine without being asked. His eye contact and demeanor felt uncomfortably intrusive to both of us. We want to emphasize that hospitality and attentiveness are wonderful – but physical closeness and personal advances are not part of service, especially when it's clear that the person is uncomfortable with it. We would appreciate it if the team would act more sensitively and respect guests' boundaries. Then we could truly enjoy our evening.

Food and service was not up to expectation for a fine dining restaurant. The food is just average. For example, wagyu carpaccio have way too much sauce that the whole dishes was overpowered by the mayo. Paccheri is okay, but another pasta dish Scialatelli was … not good. The waiter service definitely needs improvements. I have to call the waiter a few time to get one to attend to us. The Balsamico bottle also not cleaned or refilled on a regular basis, the Balsamico was stuck in the bottle 😓 I don’t recommend it. Pretty ordinary, both the food and services don’t justify the fine dine standard. You can get a better Italian food at any non-fine-dine restaurant.

Discovering this small terrace in the narrow streets of Hvar was an unexpected success. Rosa's impeccable and knowledgeable service elevated the experience to another level; it wasn't just about serving, but about knowing every detail that makes the difference. The dishes, a tribute to the Mediterranean, not only delighted the palate, but also challenged it. Each bite was full of freshness, balance, and perfection in every texture and flavor. It wasn't just a dinner, but a memory that will remain etched in your memory. A place where gastronomy not only satisfies, but also moves.

A disaster at a birthday dinner for four. The food cost €400, a total fiasco. Never again. The service was arrogant and irritated. The starters were okay. The main course was served frozen, the fish was inedible, and the "fresh" salad was clearly at least a day old. Other dishes weren't even brought to the table. We had to clear the plates ourselves. The birthday evening was ruined. We left the restaurant hungry.

Great Italian flair with a few unique specialties. The food was excellent, the wine outstanding, and the service exudes authentic Italian character. The restaurant is very busy, and the dishes are very freshly prepared. So, you need to allow some time for the excellent Italian cuisine, especially when it's busy. We had calculated less time than was ultimately necessary to enjoy all the courses. Our young guests couldn't wait any longer for their pasta main courses. When we decided to leave early and pay for everything except the missing dishes, the charming chef spontaneously decided to let us have the entire evening without paying. We were both unhappy about not being able to enjoy or demonstrate the full range of the cuisine. I hope this review makes up for the lost revenue. Ciao bene

No guest orientation in the event of a problem (you could have called, for example, the number was available). We had a very nice evening at Lucullus and were warmly welcomed at the entrance. A candlelit path led to our table. Francesco immediately introduced himself as our waiter and was very friendly throughout and had good recommendations. The food was excellent, the eye is also known to be very good, the food looked very tasty. Francesco also made sure that we received our food at the same time, which is no longer a given today. Yes, you pay more, but in return you get very friendly and good service and excellent food. We'd love to come back.

An all around perfect evening! As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed. The service was first class throughout. Francesco, his colleague and Daniel impressed with their friendliness, professionalism and attentiveness. What was particularly nice was the gesture that our dog was immediately given a water bowl and greeted in a very charming way. As a dog owner, you are particularly happy about this, because that is not something that can be taken for granted. The food was excellent, prepared with high quality ingredients and great attention to detail. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality, excellent service and great ambience absolutely justify it. I've been there several times and the food was good. Unfortunately last night it was the complete opposite. The sea bream tasteless, mixed vegetables, although I only ordered broccoli, that too was completely tasteless. Unfortunately, the price did not correspond to the performance in any way. Too bad.

We had a very nice evening, with very good food and outstanding service from Francesco.

I have already reserved a table for 2 people for Boxing Day, i.e. December 26th, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. on November 22nd, 2024, and also received the written reservation confirmation on November 22nd, 2024. Today, December 20th, 2024, we were informed that the restaurant cannot "honor" the reservation and the reservation has been canceled. I can only describe such an approach as extremely unprofessional - actually even outrageous.

Absolutely amazing. Had a business dinner, food was amazing, our waiter - Francesco - was amazing and incredibly attentive, atmosphere is classy and timeless. I cannot recommend enough, you will get what your money worth.

We had an absolutely lovely evening at Lucullus. Francesco looked after us very well, the service was very well coordinated. The food was beautifully presented and very delicious. Everything was perfect here! It was our first visit, but definitely not our last!

Overall a great evening! The food was excellent (beef fillet or veal chop) - perhaps the side dishes needed a little more sophistication to achieve true perfection. But for the location and food, the price-performance ratio is great. (But that shouldn't mislead anyone into thinking that it costs little) Particularly noteworthy is the really friendly service - a big thank you to Francesco - who accompanied us very warmly throughout the evening. Later, when it was completely full, it took a little longer - but still overall great service.

Pleasant ambience inside. The food is good Italian based cuisine for crazy prices though. The employees are friendly. There are enough tables available. Pre-order is advisable.

November 2024 Again at Lucullus for 2 months. We are so excited! A huge compliment to the fantastic kitchen team and the very charming service team. Our absolute feel-good restaurant 💓 January 2023 If we want to do something good for ourselves, go to Lucullus. The food is always varied (daily recommendations), refined and simply delicious. And our dog always finds a quiet place. We look forward to the next time.

The best Italian food restaurant. The atmosphere is good and Nicolas is also very gentle and polite. He suggested a good wine for menu. Two thumbs up.

Very stylish atmosphere, very nice service (English) and a small selection of food. I had shrimp risotto and even though I'm not a fan of risotto, I found it delicious. I only have to deduct a star for a few leftover shrimp arms in the risotto.
