Excellent restaurant, great service, I have ever tasted the best sole with butter and sage. There is also a great wine selection and homemade limoncello.

Super nice, small and, above all, typically Italian cult restaurant with charm. The Luciano is an absolute must in Cologne, especially for fans of upscale, yet simple (good) cuisine. Always happy with important business partners and loved ones in the family. Bravissimo!!!

Dear Ms. Ilya Labeika, apparently you did not know where she was. Going to a restaurant where we have written a part of Italian culinary history and not eating anything is not entirely ok either, apparently you have confused us with an ice cream parlor, with all due respect to the ice cream parlor operators.

Not recommended. Arrogant cellars (typical for older men) who look askance at you when you just order something to drink. Your plate and cutlery will be taken directly from you, regardless of whether your companion has ordered something to eat. Manageable portions, cheap young wine at 9 euros a glass and a whopping 9 euros for a bottle of water. Overall, the price-performance ratio here is not right at all. As other guests wrote: the furnishings are already getting old and need to be renovated long ago. The service is all “Italiano” like in real Italy, but feels rather strange. All in all, a rip-off restaurant near the main train station 😄

Starters were great, main course rack of lamb was almost raw, really not good. Desserts were good. Probably depends on your form on the day. Service is really good

Arrived at 1900 hours and settled in 2015. With the two of us. Sandwich, starter and main course, bottle of water and bottle of rose (€40.00). Served by older gentlemen. Friendly here, but everything is hurried and restless and they always serve quickly, as if they like to fill the table twice a night. Remove the plate immediately and empty it. Final bill € 160.00 for 5 minutes with average quality food. No music, little atmosphere. Not for us to repeat.

Best lamb chops I’ve ever had in my life.

I had low expectations to begin with as I just needed a in-out dinner experience. However even with this Low bar - as well the place bombed. I spent with tips 60€ - for a truffle pasta / lemon sorbetto and 2 Kölsch (beers). For this price - I got truffles (which don’t taste / smell like anything) - these are probably the least expensive expired stuff for 36€ you would expect much more. Normally it’s common to offer some shaved Parmesan - but I had to ask for it. I have to admit while it’s a bad idea to add Parmesan if you trying truffles but it was really that sad / bad truffles. Also , they try to mask the ridiculous cheap truffles by putting a fair bit of truffle oil—- at this point I may as well eat pasta from McDonald’s and sprinkle artificial truffle oil. Furthermore, I tried to mix in not act like a typical American tourist. Made significant efforts to speak German while ordering , but the service was no where close to warm. Also the kölsch served was not from tap but bottles which I found strange as the place is at heart of Köln. Maybe this was not justified to expect but I somehow felt it would be from Tap. Good points - Limoncello was Ok nothing mind blowing. The Parmesan was real - so at least I had a cheese pasta (not truffle pasta ;)) for 36€ ————- Don’t waste your money on this place. It’s probably only good for regulars who know them definitely as a tourist you will find the food / service sub par.

Fabulous dining experience here this week. Authentic Italian cooking, up with the best I've had. Simple, unpretentious, honest and delicious. Great service. Great wine selection. Could not fault.

We come to this restaurant very often! It is always fantastic, the waiters treat you like family, the food is always superb, their tiramisu and coffee as well. The cookies they give you at the end made me cry the first time I tried them, as they were identical as the ones my grandma used to make me when I was little. It really is a traditional Italian restaurant. t is not cheap but if you are looking for good quality Italian food, nice ambiance and friendly service, go to Luciano.

Auch unter neuer Führung durch Erasmo der Italiener in Köln, wenn es um authentische italienische Küche geht. Der Service war während meines Mittagessens wieder legendär. Die Pasta ein Gedicht. An den Nebentischen wurde die Seezunge mehr als gelobt. Weiter so!

Not cheap and not the best Italian food but very warm welcoming staff. The wines price are prohibitive.

Ristorante Luciano has been one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Cologne for a long time. This combines good food with very attentive service and what I find to be an appealing ambience. Numerous regular guests who have been visiting the restaurant - some of them for many years - speak a language for themselves.

Excellent food in a classic atmosphere

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was 16..Every 2 years.This place was run by Sr Luciano until the first steward took charge..Unfortunately the spirit and the warmth have dissipated..there is still a good team trying to cover the coldness of the current owner...but after more than 38 years I will no longer be a customer of this nostalgic place. Many thanks Mr LUCIANO for making us experience happy moments.....

Menu is written exclusively in Italian on a wooden board. There is no memory card. Food was quite good but nothing special. The portions were very clear. The atmosphere is very old. The toilet facilities need modernization and cleanliness.

Otro restaurante italiano en Colonia. Muy cerca del Hilton y de la estación de trenes. Se come bien porciones chicas. Precio razonable pero no sé si están muy acordes con el tamaño que nosotros estamos acostumbrados a comer en Buenos Aires

Das Restaurant ansich sah sehr gut aus und zum Anfang sah der Preis auch gut aus, dennoch waren die Kellner ständig in der nähe sodass man sich nicht richtig unterhalten konnte, außerdem war die Speisekarte auf Italienisch, wodurch ich nicht viel verstanden habe und auch nach der Übersetzung war es ziemlich schwer einzuschätzen was es sein könnte. Das Essen ansich war lecker, aber für den Preis zu kleine Portionen. Außerdem war der Wein mit Karaffe viel zu teuer. Das Ambiente ansich war gut aufgestellt nur das es ziemlich zu förmlich rüber kam und das womöglich den ein oder anderen abschrecken könnte.

War wieder ein wunderbarer Abend im Luciano Köln. Alle Mitarbeiter haben mit ihrem außerordentlichen Service zu diesem Erlebnis beigetragen.

Very much enjoyed the food and atmosphere. At around 100 eur each a little pricey!

The truffle pasta lacked flavor, seemingly prepared with the least expensive truffle, which had no discernible truffle taste. The food seemed to be cooked without passion and soul. It was overpriced for what was offered. The staff were not particularly friendly and there seemed to be a noticeable difference in their treatment of tourists versus locals. The wine, although inexpensive, was served without presenting the bottle.

Nach einem 1.negativen kurzen Besuch, heute Versuch Nummer 2. Top Service, super Essen, ganz ganz lieb. Chance Nummer 2 mit sehr gutem Erfolg bestanden. Danke für den Tag!!! :)

Spectacular experience here while on a business trip. I'll preface the review by saying I was at dinner here with several Italian colleagues who had never tried the place either. They ordered everything for our table, so I had little interaction with the staff myself other than observing. They were incredible, from my perspective. As was the food, which our Italian friends claimed was superb by their standards and was also by my own. Highly recommended.

Als Frage nach einem guten Restaurant-Tipp hieß es an unserer Hotel Rezeption: LUCIANO sei fußläufig vom Dom entfernt und einer der besten Italiener der Stadt. Donnerstags 19.30 Uhr kurz nach einem Tisch für 8 Personen gefragt: Ja - kriegen wir hin, kommt vorbei! Service, Speisen, Getränke, Ansprache - TIPPITOPPI!! Wir waren mit asiatischen Gästen dort, die von der zwanglosen Atmosphäre infiziert wurden. Lasst Euch nicht von der etwas oldfashioned Einrichtung irritieren.

Man bekommt keine Getränkekarte, weil es angeblich keine gibt. Dann bekommt man den Aperol Spritz schon förmlich in den Mund gelegt um bei der Zahlung festzustellen, dass dies der teuerste Aperol überhaupt war: 12 Euro für ein kleines Glas! So viel zahlt man nicht mal an der Promenade in Kühlungsborn. Die Speisekarte gibt’s nur auf Italienisch und wir haben sie uns mit dem Google Übersetzer übersetzt, sind dann aber zum Essen woanders hin gegangen.

Ein Italiener, wie er typischer kaum sein kann. Man bekommt nicht nur die Jacke abgenommen, sondern auch jede Entscheidung. Man kann sich einfach fallen und darauf einlassen, dass preislich anspruchsvolle, aber sehr leckere Essen genießen und den italienischen Charme auf sich wirken lassen. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Eigentlich hatte ich gehofft hier richtig gut zu essen..auch wenn alles etwas abgestaubt wirkte, so hatte ich doch das Gefühl zum „Italiener“ zu gehen…freundlicher Empfang, emsige Kellner…Tafel mit Gerichten an den Tisch gebracht…das Tartar war gut aber nicht sehr gut…bei der Hauptspeise war ein Stück Fleisch ungenießbar…der Kellner hat es hinten angeschnitten und sich entschuldigt…es gab Grappa und Tiramisu als Entschädigung. Service nett und sehr bemüht..Essen einfach das Geld, zumindest an diesem Abend leider nicht wert! Der Wein war ok…aber für 77€ allein, bei kostenlosen Dessert wegen der Entschuldigung muss ich einfach sagen, enttäuschend!

Situated in the middle of Cologne is this wonderful traditional Italian restaurant. The food is beautifully prepared cooked and served and the menu is both varied and sophisticated. Just read the blackboard! Established in 1969 the staff work together like clockwork to ensure you have a lovely evening. You are greeted at the door on arrival and made to feel special throughout your stay. Reasonable cost as you are eating the best ingredients cooked by expert Italian chefs. Visit Luciano's when you have time to relax and enjoy the occasion - this restaurant deserves respect!! Don't forget to book!

Es war lecker, aber Preis/Leistung war nicht in Ordnung.

Wenn man Service mag, ist man hier genau richtig. Tolle Bedienung! Wenn man gutes Essen zu einem fairen Preis mag, ist man hier genau falsch. Die Speisekarte ist erstmal auf italienisch. Wenn man das überwunden hat, kommt das Essen. Ich finde, es entspricht nicht dem Preis, der verlangt wird. Das Fleisch war einmal zu trocken (das hat unser China Imbiss besser gemacht) und bei meiner Pasta fehlte der Käse. Letztes mal hatten wir beide Bauchschmerzen. Ich war sogar einen Tag krank geschrieben. Komisch.

Restaurante bem localizado, próximo a Hauptbahnhof de Colônia e hotéis da região. Cardápio é um quadro-negro que o garçom traz à mesa. As opções de entradas, pratos principais e sobremesas são limitadas. Escolhemos dous tagliateles verdes com molho de vitela, muito saboroso, mas o prato não é bem servido. Tomamos uma jarra de um bom vinho da casa e uma água grande. Duas sobremesas e dois limoncellos. Total da janta para duas pessoas 95 Euros, ou seja, caríssimo para os padrões da Alemanha.

Ich bin immer zur Messe hier. Normalerweise 2x im Jahr. Durch Corona war ich 15 Monate nicht hier . Ich habe mich so darauf gefreut. Das Essen ist hervorragend , der Service ist auch sehr aufmerksam. Die Kellner sind sehr aufmerksam. Der Inhaber kennt seine Gäste persönlich. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Buen restaurante italiano, servicio bueno, comida buena, pero el ambiente deja muchísimo que desear y desde luego los precios son demasiado elevados para lo que se ofrece. Ya he ido varias veces y la sensación es siempre la misma, como bien pero la relación calidad /precio es bastante mala. Edit: le rebajo una estrella porque la cantidad de comida ha bajado. Sales con hambre. Edit 2022: la calidad ha bajado y los precios siguen altos. Le rebajó otra estrella

Ottima cena in un vero ristorante italiano a Colonia. I piatti buoni e con ottime materie prime e i camerieri davvero gentili, simpatici attenti e tutti italiani. Quando torneremo a Colonia per lavoro, saremo sicuramente di nuovo ospiti.Consigliato!!!

Incredibly rude staff, we went to get some food asked questions regarding the menu each questions we asked the waiter was getting ruder and ruder. We asked for a price of a specific meal because it was badly written on the board and the waiter replied “ this is a restaurant not a pizzeria “ we got up and left. He made us feel like he was doing us a favour by eating there I never experienced this rudeness in an Italian restaurant before

Küche arbeitet wirklich mit reinster Sorgfalt ind die Teller kommen so achön zugerichtet dass man schon alleine von dem Anblick Satt wird! Meine Nudeln waren sehr lecker, die Soße war nicht zu fettig wie in anderen Restaurants die mann kennt. Südländisches Flavour ist auch mit dabei. Die Kellnerin ist super sympathisch. Nächste mal wenn ich wieder in Köln bin, gehört es schon zu meinen Top 5!!!

Total nett und super Service. Besonders charmant ganz Italiener eben 😉 Essen war prima. Portion könnte nur etwas größer sein für die Preisstufe alles in allem hatte ich einen wunderschönen Abend auch wenn ich allein gewesen bin war ich es unterm Strich nicht.

Nonostante l'ora tardiva, siamo stati accolti con calore. Le pietanze buone, il servizio rapido.

Für mich immer noch der beste Italiener in Köln. Wer einen schönen Abend mit leckerem Essen und gutem Wein verbringen möchte, der ist hier genau richtig. Ich hoffe, dass Bald wieder geöffnet wird (COVID-19).

Okay, eine Institution, aber hier stimmt mittlerweile nichts mehr. Kellner unhöflich und mitunter frech (ich spreche Italienisch, was sie nicht wussten) und vulgär, Essen lieblos angerichtet und leider nicht schmackhaft. Preise der geleisteten Arbeiten nicht entsprechend. Einzig der Wein war Top, dafür gibt es den einen Stern.

Wie soll ich sagen einfach das beste italienische Restaurant in Köln und das konstant seit vielen Jahren.

Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Essen

Personal super unfreundlich und von oben herab. Wir haben uns eine Vorspeise geteilt zu zweit und wollten nach dem Hauptgang eine Nachspeise teilen. Der Inhaber meinte Wort wörtlich zu uns (!): "Das könnt ihr Euch nicht leisten". Absolut frech und arrogant. Das Essen war noch nicht mal gut, sondern durchschnittlich, was die hohen Preise in keinster Weise rechtfertigt.

In 10 Jahren ca 10 mal besucht immer ausgezeichnet komme gerne wieder wenn in Köln

Siamo venuti in questo ristorante italiano con la speranza di mangiare e pagare come fossimo in Italia, l’accoglienza ottima, il resto è meglio nn commentarlo, visto i prezzi esorbitanti basta dire che 3 bottiglie d’acqua da 75cl sono costate 27 €. Se nn siete del posto evitate, ci sono ristoranti migliori con prezzi umani. Delusissimo.

Echte italienische Küche. Das Essen ist überragend. Ich komme seit 30 Jahren her und wurde nie enttäuscht.

Gemütliches Ambiente (vor allem draußen). Originelle Speisen von der Tafel und sehr aufmerksame Kellner mit ital. Flair. Ausgiebige Weinkarte in jedem Preissegment. Empfehlenswert sind die Melanzane Vorspeise und der Limoncello.

Authentischer geht es nicht. Unbedingt hin und sich einfach darauf einlassen.

Es war sehr gut, kann das Restaurant sehr empfehlen
