The ambiance is stylish and modern, and the staff is warm and attentive. You immediately feel welcome. In short: If you love Vietnamese cuisine and want to enjoy sushi at its finest, this is the place for you. I'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, only 1 star. The worst bowl in all of Nuremberg. It consists of 90 percent rice... the restaurant is disproportionately loud, but it wasn't full. The price/performance ratio is completely off.

Traditional Franconian Goad des Schäufela

We went to an Asian restaurant today and it was really great. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented and tasted really high. The tuna tataki in particular was a highlight: tender, perfectly seared and wonderfully seasoned. My wife had chicken with vegetables which was superbly seasoned and lovely and light, just right. The salmon sushi was also really good, with a lovely buttery taste. All in all, a really great meal. We'll definitely be back.

I had a salmon teriyaki bowl delivered. What you get here for around €20 is ridiculous. The taste is great, but unfortunately, with about three forks of rice, it was "manageable." Either you only get these incredibly uninspiring portions via delivery, or you're in for a nasty surprise when you get there. There are so many good Asian restaurants in Nuremberg – unfortunately, this isn't one of them.

The homemade lemonades, soft drinks, cocktails, and beer were also very popular. We would especially like to highlight the excellent service: friendly, attentive, and always in a good mood. While strolling through Nuremberg's Old Town, I was craving Asian food for dinner. I saw this place on the street with 4.7-star reviews on Google and decided to give it a try. When I got to the table, I saw a sign on the table saying "Free espresso with Google review" and thought I was done for. Maybe I'd been given a slap on the wrist... However, not only was the service friendly, but the two main courses, drinks, and small pan-fried dumplings we ordered were all absolutely delicious! The total bill was about 50 euros. Highly recommended! I saw some sashimi and nigiri combinations that seemed pretty good, but they were usually between 25 and 29 euros (so I passed on them).

I would say the decorations were nice, but it was too crowded and way too loud. There were too many tables packed too closely together — more like a fast food restaurant, trying to fit as many tables as possible. We had made a reservation, and when we arrived, there were still about 7 tables available. Out of those, at least 3 were two-person tables. But they gave us the table right next to the bartender’s station — where staff constantly came to place orders, pick up food and drinks, and walk back and forth right behind us. That’s always the least desirable table — definitely a last option for me. It was my birthday, and we just wanted a normal seat — not the worst one in the house. It really ruined the mood for me. We eventually asked to move to another table, but that one was only about 10 cm away from the couple next to us. It felt more like a double date. It also took a long time for our food to arrive — over 30 minutes. We finished our drinks and were just about to order a second round by the time the food came. The drinks were nice, but the food… the salmon had a very strong smell. A sushi dish should not smell that fishy. Price-wise, it was reasonable. But I don’t think I’ll come back. The biggest disappointment was the table we were given at the beginning — it felt careless, especially on a special day. The restaurant was also extremely cold, despite being full and having people queuing at the entrance. One guy even had to wear his jacket while eating — it honestly felt like we were dining outdoors. And the toilet? A complete mess. The floor was wet, water all over the counter, the trash bin was overflowing, and toilet paper was scattered on the sink, the floor, around the bin, and even under the toilet seat.

Super delicious and great service. I'll be happy to come back next time I'm in Nuremberg.

I had a salad with sashimi and teriyaki. A combination I'd never tried before, but it sounded interesting. And it was really delicious. I'd definitely have it again!

I went there yesterday with my son for dinner. We had the handmade summer rolls and pan-fried tuna slices in a sesame-ginger sauce. Both were excellent. For the main course, we had the pork belly. It came in thin slices in a soup bowl with a truly unusual broth. It was sweet, sour, and fruity. It was a new taste, but we both enjoyed it. It also came with rice noodles, cilantro, pieces of iceberg lettuce, spring onions, red chilies, and very tasty sesame leaves. You could add all of these to the broth with the pork belly, depending on your taste. The combination was delicious. What wasn't bad, but wasn't a taste highlight, was the sushi. We ordered four different types, but none of them were particularly flavorful; I've had much better sushi. Everything tasted a bit bland, but really not bad either. Another problem, and another guest already mentioned this in their review, was: It was significantly too warm; it felt like the sushi rice was always sitting uncooled in the kitchen; it was at room temperature. And it was 30 degrees outside. The fish inside was already chilled, but it naturally warms up quickly if the sushi rice is too warm. Sushi shouldn't be completely cold, otherwise the flavor won't come through, but it shouldn't be too warm either. That's a bit irritating. Drinks were very good (2 cocktails, a glass of white wine). However, everything at Lu-Bu isn't exactly cheap. The service was super friendly and professional. Perfect.

This was my first time here and I tried the duck with rice – it was truly delicious! The meat was tender and crispy on the outside, the sauce was well-seasoned, not too sweet or too salty. The rice was also perfectly cooked. The portion was generous and the value for money was good. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

I would like to express my disappointment with an offer in your restaurant. A special was advertised for the Poké Bowl with salmon: you order one bowl and get a second one for free. Unfortunately, I was very surprised at the portion size. The amount of salmon was extremely small - just four very small pieces - and the remaining ingredients were randomly distributed in very small quantities throughout the bowl. For a price of 20 euros per bowl, I find this misleading and disappointing. I expected much more from this offer.

I reserved a table here to eat with some clients. My conclusion: absolutely recommended! From the beginning to the end, we were all absolutely thrilled. The service was always reliable and fulfilled all our special requests, even without us having to mention them. Things were recognized independently and simply implemented, something I rarely experience. Keep it up 👍 The food took us all to a whole new level in terms of taste. Fantastic, is all I can say. Of course, we didn't try everything, but based on our selection, there's no other rating to give. I'm already looking forward to our next visit and have/will recommend the restaurant wholeheartedly.

I have been looking forward to visiting Lu-Bu for a long time. I visited the restaurant along with my system last week for lunch. Surprisingly, there were lots of seats available so we were asking if we wanted to sit inside or outside. The service was really good. As natives of India, we both prefer spicy food with lots of flavour and we both enjoyed the food. The presentation of starters was also wonderful. I would totally recommend this place to friends and would love to visit again probably for dinner.

Unfortunately the sumo wasn't right today. Not recommended in terms of taste and the chicken meat... The quality of the meat was very poor.
