Lu-Bu in Nürnberg

This was my second time at LU-BU. My girlfriend and I received a very warm welcome, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the vibe was fantastic. The service was impeccable – very attentive and friendly. A great restaurant, keep it up! 👍🏻

I ordered the following dishes: The gyoza were unfortunately soft, even though I'm used to them being crispy. The sushi was rather average and far too salty. The place is fantastic, the restaurant is great, but the sushi doesn't deserve a 6/10!

Great atmosphere, very good service, extremely delicious sushi

We arrived on New Year's Eve after 7pm and didn't have a reservation. They still found a table for 2 (we just wanted to eat and go). We ordered Red Curry with Duck. The food was prepared quite quickly, even though it was completely full. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed it. The service was also excellent. Very satisfied. 👍👏🏻

We ordered delivery by Uber eats with the 1:1 deal to try. Flavour fantastic, though the portion size was (in our opinion) shocking. Max 100g salmon, a couple small piece of avocado and a mini handful Edamame. The sauce was the flavour. All in all very small amount of everything. Huge potential to be great but for something that usually costs more than 20 euro, o would not order again.

There are several Asian cuisines on offer. Our food arrived quickly and was very tasty. The service was attentive and friendly. The sodas are worth trying. All in all, it's worth the slight detour from the tourist area.

I come here at least twice a week – Lu-Bu is on par with my favorite restaurants in the area, but with its own unique style. The sushi is consistently excellent: fresh, expertly prepared, and incredibly flavorful. The staff is always friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You feel welcome, not just rushed through. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and perfectly complements the concept. For anyone who appreciates good food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere: highly recommended.

The food was very good, however, a little less cream sauce would have been better.

We were a group of 12, and the service was prompt. Our very diverse orders (sushi, curries, wontons) arrived at just the right time. Since I hadn't even heard of this restaurant before, I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The duck curry was really good, and the sushi I tried was also very good. Overall, a solid Asian fusion restaurant. Personally, I prefer restaurants that focus on traditional cuisine (Korean, Japanese, Thai, etc.), but I understand the concept, especially from a business perspective. I can definitely recommend it and will come back again.

We had a small company event at LU-BU – and it was simply perfect. The food was fantastic, and our waiter Phillip was incredibly attentive and on the ball at all times, even though the restaurant was packed. We'd love to come back – highly recommended!

Unfortunately, only 1 star. The worst bowl in all of Nuremberg. It consists of 90 percent rice... the restaurant is disproportionately loud, but it wasn't full. The price/performance ratio is completely off.

Excellent quality, beautifully presented, and the prices are fantastic for this quality. Everything tasted great and arrived piping hot. My only slight complaint was that the homemade iced tea was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's subjective.

The food was excellent as always, I always enjoy coming to your restaurant. It's just a shame that my request in the online reservation ("Please, something special for my 44th birthday") was overlooked – there was no indication at the table that it was my birthday. I simply wanted a little something extra special.

Traditional Franconian Goad des Schäufela

We went to an Asian restaurant today and it was really great. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented and tasted really high. The tuna tataki in particular was a highlight: tender, perfectly seared and wonderfully seasoned. My wife had chicken with vegetables which was superbly seasoned and lovely and light, just right. The salmon sushi was also really good, with a lovely buttery taste. All in all, a really great meal. We'll definitely be back.

Great decor, clean appearance, and full shop. There's a wide selection of food and drinks. You can eat inside or outside.

I had a salmon teriyaki bowl delivered. What you get here for around €20 is ridiculous. The taste is great, but unfortunately, with about three forks of rice, it was "manageable." Either you only get these incredibly uninspiring portions via delivery, or you're in for a nasty surprise when you get there. There are so many good Asian restaurants in Nuremberg – unfortunately, this isn't one of them.

The homemade lemonades, soft drinks, cocktails, and beer were also very popular. We would especially like to highlight the excellent service: friendly, attentive, and always in a good mood. The venue was beautifully decorated, and the dance floor was perfect for our celebration. Highly recommended for weddings and large parties! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

She was so friendly, attentive, and gave us such good advice that we ended up staying for almost two hours! The food was also delicious—another reason we'll definitely be back. While strolling through Nuremberg's Old Town, I was craving Asian food for dinner. I saw this place on the street with 4.7-star reviews on Google and decided to give it a try. When I got to the table, I saw a sign on the table saying "Free espresso with Google review" and thought I was done for. Maybe I'd been given a slap on the wrist... However, not only was the service friendly, but the two main courses, drinks, and small pan-fried dumplings we ordered were all absolutely delicious! The total bill was about 50 euros. Highly recommended! I saw some sashimi and nigiri combinations that seemed pretty good, but they were usually between 25 and 29 euros (so I passed on them).

I would say the decorations were nice, but it was too crowded and way too loud. There were too many tables packed too closely together — more like a fast food restaurant, trying to fit as many tables as possible. We had made a reservation, and when we arrived, there were still about 7 tables available. Out of those, at least 3 were two-person tables. But they gave us the table right next to the bartender’s station — where staff constantly came to place orders, pick up food and drinks, and walk back and forth right behind us. That’s always the least desirable table — definitely a last option for me. It was my birthday, and we just wanted a normal seat — not the worst one in the house. It really ruined the mood for me. We eventually asked to move to another table, but that one was only about 10 cm away from the couple next to us. It felt more like a double date. It also took a long time for our food to arrive — over 30 minutes. We finished our drinks and were just about to order a second round by the time the food came. The drinks were nice, but the food… the salmon had a very strong smell. A sushi dish should not smell that fishy. Price-wise, it was reasonable. But I don’t think I’ll come back. The biggest disappointment was the table we were given at the beginning — it felt careless, especially on a special day. The restaurant was also extremely cold, despite being full and having people queuing at the entrance. One guy even had to wear his jacket while eating — it honestly felt like we were dining outdoors. And the toilet? A complete mess. The floor was wet, water all over the counter, the trash bin was overflowing, and toilet paper was scattered on the sink, the floor, around the bin, and even under the toilet seat.

Super delicious and great service. I'll be happy to come back next time I'm in Nuremberg.

Very tasty food and great atmosphere

I had a salad with sashimi and teriyaki. A combination I'd never tried before, but it sounded interesting. And it was really delicious. I'd definitely have it again!

I went there yesterday with my son for dinner. We had the handmade summer rolls and pan-fried tuna slices in a sesame-ginger sauce. Both were excellent. For the main course, we had the pork belly. It came in thin slices in a soup bowl with a truly unusual broth. It was sweet, sour, and fruity. It was a new taste, but we both enjoyed it. It also came with rice noodles, cilantro, pieces of iceberg lettuce, spring onions, red chilies, and very tasty sesame leaves. You could add all of these to the broth with the pork belly, depending on your taste. The combination was delicious. What wasn't bad, but wasn't a taste highlight, was the sushi. We ordered four different types, but none of them were particularly flavorful; I've had much better sushi. Everything tasted a bit bland, but really not bad either. Another problem, and another guest already mentioned this in their review, was: It was significantly too warm; it felt like the sushi rice was always sitting uncooled in the kitchen; it was at room temperature. And it was 30 degrees outside. The fish inside was already chilled, but it naturally warms up quickly if the sushi rice is too warm. Sushi shouldn't be completely cold, otherwise the flavor won't come through, but it shouldn't be too warm either. That's a bit irritating. Drinks were very good (2 cocktails, a glass of white wine). However, everything at Lu-Bu isn't exactly cheap. The service was super friendly and professional. Perfect.
