Cinecittà Nürnberg in Nürnberg

I've been trying to buy tickets for Cinecittà for an hour now, but I keep getting an error code (errorPage.errorCode.C-OL-2108) when selecting seats. If this gets fixed, I'll give it more stars. The tickets are expensive enough; the website should work properly.

This cinema is finished. All the negative reviews, sorry, but that's unacceptable. Cinecitta was once a flagship, Europe's most successful cinema – those days are gone. Cleanliness and order haven't been a priority here for a long time. It has nothing to do with cinema anymore, and it's not worth the prices they're charging. Going to the movies isn't fun anymore. They've missed the boat; they can't fix anything.

The biggest and most confusing cinema I've ever been to. I went to the "premium cinema" and thought "premium" meant that higher prices meant no commercials or trailers. Unfortunately, I was wrong; it simply refers to the facilities and the service at your seat.

Unfortunately, at 12:30 the cash registers were completely understaffed. Incomprehensible, for such a large and attractive store.

A fantastic cinema where everything is just right: You sink into wonderful seats where you could sit for hours, and even those with hearing difficulties can enjoy a high-end sound experience with excellent picture quality. The film selection is superb!

There's no better cinema experience. Whenever I come here, childhood memories come flooding back. This week I took my son to the cinema so he could have those wonderful memories too.

As someone from Nuremberg, I'm familiar with the Cine, but I've often noticed that it's not very clean, especially in the evenings. But today they really outdid themselves. I booked the Deluxe package with two snack menus, which cost over €60 in total, quite a lot. So we waited for the food, were looking forward to the movie, and nothing happened. The theater was practically empty. Only after I asked did the snacks arrive; they knew nothing about them. And as I said, the table was sticky, and there was popcorn on the seat. I don't want to blame the staff, but they need to be paid properly or hire more people to keep it clean. And to top it all off, mice ran in front of us on the way home (who knows where else they're hiding). So from now on, I'm going to the Admiral.

I only go there for the deluxe cinema. Please finally renovate your toilets!

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our cinema visit. For two tickets, popcorn, and a drink, we paid a total of around €62, but the service offered was in no way commensurate with the price. The restrooms were in an extremely neglected state and far worse than one would expect from a cinema. The popcorn was of poor quality: it contained large pieces of sugar, and about a third of the bag consisted of unpopped kernels. Even the deluxe seats we booked were not clean – there were still popcorn remnants from the previous patrons on the table. Overall, the visit left a very negative impression. We will likely choose the Admiral cinema for future cinema visits.

The cinema is showing its age, and the restrooms are now a disaster. Their age isn't so bad, and they don't need a complete overhaul, but they absolutely must be clean, which is no longer the case. And it wasn't an isolated incident; it's gotten progressively worse over the last few years. I'm very glad that the Admiral in Nuremberg has reopened, and we try to avoid the Cinecitta. The cinema experience suffers greatly from the less-than-pleasant atmosphere.

The lights in the cinema auditorium stayed on until the film actually started and were extremely bright. As a result, we couldn't see any of the advertisements or trailers. We were in cinema auditorium 7 at 1 p.m. on December 30, 2025. It was quite chilly and cold in there. Not exactly comfortable. Please turn on the heating.

We watched Avatar at the deluxe cinema.

Very good and varied Italian food. The service was very attentive. In summer you can sit by the Pegnitz river.

While Cinecitta is constantly upgrading its theaters with the latest technology, and despite staff shortages, more and more regular theaters are being converted into deluxe auditoriums, the rest of the building simply contradicts the impression of a modern and luxurious cinema. It's outdated and not particularly clean. But this is a problem that has been known for some time and, very likely, won't change in the coming years. My biggest problem is the new website. Apparently, someone in the office had the brilliant idea one day to replace the existing website with an inferior one. Don't believe me? Here are the differences: Old website: 1. The homepage was perfect, and when you scrolled down, you could see everything important – upcoming events, the box office charts, news from the film industry, which movies were currently playing (sorted by genre/category), and at the very bottom, you could see the Cinecitta's restaurants. ``` 2. Under the "Coming Soon" category, you could pre-order movies and receive a notification as soon as tickets became available. 3. Under "Program," showtimes were listed directly next to the film and thus immediately visible. New Website: 1. Instead of simply scrolling through all the information, you now have to click through the various categories. The "Cinema Charts" and "News" categories have been completely removed. 2. The feature to pre-order movies and then be notified as soon as tickets become available has also been completely eliminated. 3. Now, under "Program," you find ALL movies, even those that are only on sale and haven't even started yet. Instead of the showtimes being displayed next to the film, you now have to click on "Showtimes." I really wonder who came up with this idea, because the new website is far from good. The person in charge replaced an already very good website with a much worse one, and apparently did so without putting in much effort, simply by using AI.

Extremely large, eating on site is good!

Once a nice cinema, it's now more than just outdated. The toilets are often dirty and broken, and the walls on the way upstairs from the Cinemagnum are grimy. The screen is also dirty on the side, so the €18 ticket isn't worth it. The service is disorganized and slow. Twice, the wrong order was taken, resulting in long waits. Some of the concession stands are no longer in use and are empty. The movie Avatar was paused after 20 seconds because the audience was still waiting for their food. The day before, they couldn't find a replacement for the broken 3D glasses. This cinema desperately needs a fresh coat of paint; the competitor right next door is setting a good example.

Unfortunately, I have to say that the service has deteriorated significantly and is putting a strain on the staff. Overwhelmed counter staff have to handle the rush alone. The cleanliness also leaves much to be desired. For the price of the tickets, I expect more. In the future, I prefer to go to smaller cinemas, like the one in Schwabach. Everything is just right there.... It's a real shame.

The movie was great! But our popcorn counter was closed, so we had to wait in a long line and our movie had already started. Too few staff for such a high ticket price.

The cinema screening was great, but unfortunately the toilets are in a catastrophic state, there's dirt everywhere, the snack bars near the cinema are not open, so it takes forever to get your pre-reserved snacks and drinks.

The worst cinema I've ever experienced. Once you've navigated the maze of seating and found your auditorium, you're met with ripped and filthy seats, a hall that reeks of urine, and sound quality so poor you have to strain to hear the dialogue on screen. Charging unsuspecting customers for this is pure extortion. It's all just empty words from the management, because apparently we're not the first to complain about these conditions and the lack of hygiene, yet everything continues as before.

How bad this cinema has become... Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with the whole process.

A large cinema with comfortable deluxe seats, good picture and sound quality, and a great selection of films. The restaurant and bar create a very pleasant atmosphere. Service and cleanliness could be improved, but overall it's highly recommended.

I like the Cinecitta when we feel like going to a big movie.

A very modern cinema with clean facilities and friendly staff. Unfortunately, I can only give it 4 stars because the parking situation is inadequate. For a cinema of this size and with such high visitor numbers, significantly more parking spaces are needed. Ideally, there should be a dedicated parking garage. Furthermore, I feel the service could be improved. Despite pre-ordering a meal online, you often have to wait at least 15 minutes before your order is ready. The point of ordering online should be that your order is already prepared upon arrival – especially when the film is about to start. Overall, however, I am satisfied with the cinema and will continue to visit.

I went to the Cinecittà cinema in Nuremberg today. I generally really like this cinema, so this review isn't easy for me. At the snack bar, I was told that they were almost out of nachos and that they could only be ordered online, which is very inconvenient. During the film in Cinema 2, a rat ran past me, which is absolutely unacceptable. Furthermore, the auditorium had a very unpleasant smell, so bad that I had to hold my nose at times. The floor was completely covered in popcorn, and overall the auditorium seemed very neglected. I sincerely hope that the hygiene and organization improve, because I usually enjoy going to this cinema. However, under these circumstances, the visit was unfortunately disappointing.

I don't see why I should pay €30 for the film plus snacks, and then have to enjoy the film for 3 hours smelling like a toilet.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Besides the absolutely terrible signage indicating where each cinema is, only the greatest management genius could come up with the idea that I have to pre-order nachos!!! Otherwise, I can't buy them at the cinema, even though the concession stand is full. You must be so fat on cash that you don't need to do that anymore; otherwise, it's inexplicable.

The cinema is large and spacious, but hardly any of the concession stands are open. Furthermore, when ordering, you learn that there are no more nachos, even though they are being prepared and sample boxes are available. According to the staff, these are only available for online orders in the Deluxe section. A two-tier system? Especially in such a large cinema, this is absolutely unacceptable and truly disappointing. Parts of the facility are in need of renovation, and the restrooms are definitely in need of repair.

The security guard is really rude and there are mice everywhere, yallah!

In my opinion, it's the best cinema; I find the prices justified for the service. It's always great to watch films there!

Over several years, I went to the sneak previews a few times. The film selection is, about 95% of the time, a brutally niche offering. You pay to see something that's clearly being used as a test run. After the film, you're supposed to rate it – and the cinema presumably uses these ratings to calculate how well the film is doing and how often (or even if) it will be shown again. For paying customers, this just feels wrong. What also bothers me: The advertisement for the sneak previews is full of classic films in the background. This raises expectations that are almost never met in reality. Frankly, I find that blatantly misleading. On a positive note, I'd like to highlight the presentations and little contests – they're really well done and at least provide some entertainment. The price for the jumbo popcorn is also somewhat reasonable. A real highlight a while back was indeed "Mr. No Pain" – such exceptions show that it could be done differently. What bothers me even more is that the sneak previews are full of classic films in the background. What I find really disappointing is the scarcity of classic films. Sure, Harry Potter is shown again every now and then, but there's so much more potential. I'd love to see films like Mr. Bean or classics like the Bud Spencer series – that would fit perfectly into the program. And, most recently, and completely incomprehensible: the nice mugs or buckets for the new Avatar film are simply not available. Seriously? In THE cinema of Germany? Even my local village cinema had at least a few of them in stock. It's just embarrassing. An experience in auditorium 13 was an absolute no-go: a rat actually ran around our feet. That should never happen. Generally speaking, you can tell that many of the auditoriums are quite old – some even smell unpleasant, like a wet, fart-covered car seat from an 80s Audi. Cleanliness isn't exactly the cinema's strong suit, although to be fair, part of the problem definitely lies with some of the patrons. Ultimately, for me it's unfortunately not enough for more than 2 stars. The potential is definitely there – but it's used far too rarely.

Nice place. I was here to watch the Jurassic park movie. Loved the 3D glasses. Very clean and the experience was great. Here is a funny story: I wanted to use the restroom and kept searching everywhere but couldn’t one. The reason being here the restrooms are named as “H” for Herren “D” for Damen. So the door only had letters H or D not even a picture of a man/woman. Hehe, I need to unlock my brain to think and relate words in German sooner :) Overall, I really enjoyed the pushback seating/ snack corner and all of that. I will definitely visit again.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed again during my last visit yesterday, Sunday, at 3:55 PM to see "The Tiger" in the Deluxe 5 (Blackbox) theater. The seats were dirty with snacks. The tables were sticky and had rings from old glasses. When the pre-ordered items were delivered, I asked the three attendants to please clean the seats and not put everything in the drinks. The short, curt reply was "okay." As I was leaving, I slammed the door, and that was the end of it for the three women. Cheaper cinemas do a better job. What a waste of money!

It could be cheaper and have less advertising.

It used to be a nice cinema; I still come by occasionally to see a film, but unfortunately, it's getting worse and worse. Other cinemas now have deluxe theaters too, and for less money. The furniture has definitely seen better days. And every time, there are problems getting the popcorn and drinks to my seat; I constantly have to complain because nothing arrives. What's the point of pre-ordering in the deluxe theater if it doesn't come... and I miss the beginning of the film because I have to go and ask for something?

The cinema itself is very good, but the new website is a nightmare to use. It's very poorly designed, and you can't close notifications. I used to always buy tickets spontaneously on my phone (iPhone). Unfortunately, that's no longer possible. Cinemas 1 and 2 also have a very unpleasant smell of urine.

Nice cinema, but the popcorn is really bad. Unfortunately, it's been like this for many years. A real shame. Sometimes we end up getting jumbo popcorn from Cineplex beforehand if we have a reservation at Cinecitta.

When I think that the Cinecitta used to be my favorite cinema, and we always made the trip to Nuremberg, I can only shake my head. We had reserved seats in Deluxe Cinema 6, but there's absolutely nothing deluxe about it anymore. To put it kindly, the service at the concession stands is abysmal; it's not service at all, it's dereliction of duty. But the best part is Deluxe Cinema 6 itself, which is so ridiculously designed that you always see the glasses and popcorn bags of the people sitting in front of you in the picture. Charging €19.50 for such poor quality is an absolute outrage. Never again Cinecitta. To end on a positive note, my wife said the lights in the auditorium were nice.

I recently visited the Deluxe (Deluxe 2) cinema again after a while... and I have to say, the Cinecitta is showing its age everywhere you look. Even the friendly staff can't make up for it. A spring was broken in my seat, and I couldn't sit up straight. That wasn't "Deluxe" – the film became an ordeal. The rest of the cinema has definitely seen better days. The (faux) leather upholstery on the seating area in front of the theater shows clear signs of wear, and the restrooms are stuck in the 90s. All in all, a visit to the Deluxe cinema is only enjoyable to a limited extent and not worth the price.

Deluxe Cinema 2, December 6, 2025, 6:30 PM, Zootopia 2. The cinema is an absolute disgrace when it comes to cleanliness. The seats are dirty and smeared, the tables haven't been wiped, and don't even get me started on the floor. Tip: Vacuuming helps. For guests, bring tissues so you can clean your seats. And this is what they call Deluxe.

This place has such disrespectful people there was this staff that was extremely rude and disrespectful to my father I do not understand why they are very disrespectful towards people she has so many complaints even my friends and their parents say that she is very rude

We went to see "The Tiger." The film was scheduled to start at 3:55 p.m., but first there were 30 minutes of commercials. Finding the theater wasn't easy either, as access was difficult due to a private event. Furthermore, the theater was barely heated.

Unfortunately, our last visit wasn't as smooth as usual. During the movie, a mouse suddenly scurried across the auditorium. It must have a family. Also, all the lights suddenly switched on during the film... unbelievable. Of course, none of the staff noticed until a guest pointed it out and someone finally turned the lights off. Update 11/2025: Rude staff at the popcorn counters. Our bag was wet and soggy at the bottom. After a long argument, we got a new bag. Good grief, what's the problem? And then the bag wasn't even properly filled; it was several centimeters below the top. Normally, there's a mountain of popcorn in there. Very disappointing. The negative experiences are piling up.

After a film recommendation, I wanted to watch it and searched for it on the website. I found it. However, booking wasn't possible, which confused me because the film had only been added to the catalog three weeks prior, and this was confirmed on the film's page with the release date. So I called the service line and was stuck on hold for 35 to 40 minutes. 👎👎👎 The only positive thing was the woman on the other end of the line, who kindly confirmed that the film had been removed from the program. If films aren't profitable, removing them from the program is a no-brainer. But then please make this clear on the film's page (it would fit perfectly where the release date would be) or deactivate the page. The statement "If it's not bookable, then it's simply not playing anymore" once again demonstrates the abysmal customer service in Germany.

Overall a very good cinema, but today I found several long hairs in my popcorn, which was disgusting, and last time I saw a mouse in the auditorium, the staff didn't seem to care. An acquaintance who used to work there said there are always mice there, partly because it's right next to the Pegnitz River.

We were in the Deluxe 6 cinema, top row, center. I was a bit annoyed by the projector extension right in front of me. It was fine when we watched it later. Electronically adjustable seats with footrests are definitely premium. But so are the prices. Two tickets at €19 each for a normal-length film, not even in 3D. Plus, a ton of commercials and a pre-roll that was easily 30 minutes plus. It's crazy where we've ended up these days. Then there were nachos from the counter with a drink for €15 – wow! You order digitally in advance and get no mention anywhere that the QR code doesn't work, only the one in the separate email. Apparently, it's a bug that's supposedly being fixed. If you don't ask, you just stand there like an idiot and wait forever. At the bar, I had to wait minutes for two cappuccinos, and the staff didn't even look at me, chatting amongst themselves. I asked the young woman where I could order, and she just said "with me" as if nothing had happened. Right. Otherwise, the sound was great, but the picture quality wasn't any better than in other typical cinemas. And you also have to be lucky with the other patrons. You know how it is: moviegoers munching during the film (it's manageable), and their phones blasting loud, only to be turned off after what feels like 30 seconds. To top it off, two two-meter-tall giants were sitting in front of us, which, despite the now supposedly good seat design, still made reading the subtitles a real nuisance. Okay, lots of subjective impressions, but I'll only go to the cinema in exceptional circumstances from now on.

A beautiful cinema with super comfortable seats and plenty of legroom. The atmosphere is sophisticated and relaxed, the service friendly and attentive. Perfect for anyone looking for a more refined, quieter cinema experience. I'll definitely be back!

We saw the film in the DELUXE 6 auditorium and were absolutely thrilled! The separate entrance is especially convenient – ​​you can walk right in from the street without having to go all the way around the cinema complex. We ordered food and drinks right away, and when we arrived, everything was already lovingly prepared on our table. The service was incredibly attentive – DELUXE truly lives up to its name! The cheese was perfectly selected, the baguette fresh and crusty, and the presentation was simply superb. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience and the fantastic movie night!

The cinema was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The aisles were tidy and the restrooms were fine. The only thing that bothers me every time I visit is the nachos... You mostly just get bits and pieces. That's annoying... The sauces are still tasty, though.

The deluxe theaters are great. Food and snacks are a mixed bag. Unfortunately, the movie experience is often disrupted by other patrons. Perhaps some kind of security guard would be helpful, someone people could talk to. Prices are quite high, but the film selection is extensive.

It's just a cinema. In my opinion, the hype for the Cinnemagnum is completely overrated, but it's definitely worth seeing. The prices – especially for food – are sometimes outrageous.

Cool cinema and all. But if you want to watch arthouse or indie films, you have to search for the screening rooms. Studio 1 is so cleverly hidden, I'd say who can find it right away without help. Plus, apart from cleaning staff and the occasional concessionaire, there's nobody in that area. You feel really awkward. On top of that, the room isn't completely soundproofed from the rest of the cinema. You can always hear the traffic outside the auditorium. It's just unacceptable. Studio 1 has a glass door. Between the glass door and the auditorium, there's only a heavy black curtain. When people go in and out during the film because they need to use the restroom, light constantly spills into the auditorium. And yes, I know, fire safety regulations, so some lights have to be on to help you find the exit. But the lighting in Studio 1 is so bad, don't book a seat by the stairs! You need to use the restroom during a film and want to sit near the stairs for that reason? No. It's best not to drink anything at all and sit as far away from the door as possible. The film was great, the theater was awful. This review therefore only refers to the theater. I actually only wanted to give it one star. But I'm giving it two because you have to give art at least one chance (even if it's in a theater like that).

Great place to relax and watch movies

It's rather sad... as a disabled person in a wheelchair who can't do anything without assistance, not even go outside... my eyes, ears, hands, and legs are all my own... I still have to pay quite a bit, even for assistance. Unlike in other cinemas where assistance is free. It's difficult for people who only have €120 a month.

I had a truly fantastic visit to Cinecittà! The cinema is modern, clean, and very well organized. I especially enjoyed being able to watch the film in its original language – the sound quality was superb and the picture crystal clear. The seats were comfortable, the staff friendly, and the overall atmosphere very pleasant. The food and drink options in the lobby were also excellent – ​​a good selection and fair prices. I will definitely be back, especially for the wonderful opportunity to see films in their original language. A real highlight for film fans! 🎬🍿

Best cinema in the region, one of the best in Germany

I actually wanted to see the movie Chainsaw Man in the Deluxe 4, but unfortunately, I discovered that there were mice in the cinema seats. I hope this gets fixed soon… but for now, that's it for me!

It's my regular cinema for a reason. Buying tickets through Cinecitta's own website has always been seamless, and the 3D glasses are always waiting on the always clean seats. These are comfortable and also ideal for those who've already completed Star Wars or Lord of the Rings marathons. I'd especially like to mention the Kino Deluxe theaters; while the tickets aren't cheap, the price is definitely worth it for special films. Here, you can enjoy your cinema experience comfortably in incredibly comfortable, sofa-like seats with plenty of space, with a cheese platter instead of ordinary popcorn – definitely worth a look.

I don't understand the 4.5 rating at all. This is the best cinema. Great sound, amazing picture, perfect service. I only go to this cinema.

I didn't miss Cinecitta's 30th anniversary. It was a fantastic evening. I've been going to the cinema here regularly for 30 years, and of course, I also enjoy a cozy meal at the trattoria. It's always lovely here. Thanks to the organizers and staff.

Yesterday, I went to Cinecitta with my mom for the first time in a long time. It's not the cinema's fault that "After the Hunt" was a flop. However, the fact that a mouse was wandering through the auditorium (Cinema 2) is a problem the cinema should address! I don't even want to know where the mice are... A waste of time and money, including the disgusting factor! Another visit is out of the question for me!

If there are problems (credit card pre-charged but no tickets received), there's no way to contact Cine. No one answers the phone, no answer to the answering machine, no reply to emails. When complaining in person, they just shrug their shoulders and refer you to the "support" email, which, of course, also doesn't respond. The issue isn't addressed in the FAQ. The problem resolved itself a week later, but as a customer, you feel a bit let down. My money is welcome, but you shouldn't expect any service... The film selection and cinema technology are still superb, truly excellent, but a little customer service wouldn't hurt.
