Löwen in Endingen am Kaiserstuhl

A somewhat special restaurant. We were surprised. If you fancy something completely different, you shouldn't miss a visit.

A great bouquet, large portions and super tasty! And the Brägele (= fried potatoes), just mmmmhhhhhh! Crispy and delicious without being burnt. And all of this at very fair prices. Definitely a recommendation.

Just wow - we come here often. Our absolute favorite from the Kaiserstuhl. No matter whether it's a summer party, a cooking class or a relaxed meal. We've been through everything and have never been disappointed. It's expensive when the quality and performance are not right, so I think the prices are chosen accordingly. The kitchen really demonstrates a “cooking art” that is unbelievable. There are often taste surprises and we are always impressed. There is truly a craft behind the dishes. The service is simply genuine. We love it and it smells like the big city. An enrichment for Endingen and we are grateful that Merkles exists!

After the Endinger Christmas market on Saturday evening, four of us had dinner at the Gasthaus zum Schützen. The service was friendly and the food came quickly. We had four different dishes and we all enjoyed them. Home-style cuisine at fair prices.

I want to share today's experience with this establishment, we came to eat with a colleague at 11:30, we ordered a kebab plate and a pizza. They brought the food at 12:00, and there were no people there at all, we were alone when we left, so I told him that it was a long time to wait like this, the young waiter arrogantly replied that they are not Burger King. I have never seen such arrogant service. And one more thing, I asked for extra meat, instead of meat he gave more vegetables to make it look bigger. I was there last time.
