We had cocktails. They were okay.

Good food but it lacks the Cajun flavor that is its specialty

After our drinks arrived relatively quickly, our waitress disappeared for a good half hour. Since we wanted something to eat, we had to speak to two different waitresses. Our food was okay, but we were skillfully ignored afterward. When it came to paying, we spoke to two waitresses! We were told someone would come. Finally, after waiting over half an hour, we were finally allowed to pay.

Delicious hamburgers with good fries. It's nicely located. It's spacious with plenty of seating. The staff are all friendly.

We found shelter during a rainstorm. I can't say anything about the food, but the drinks were okay. The staff were definitely very friendly!

Had a great meal on a cozy terrace in the heart of Trier. The food was very tasty and the portions were good. The hamburger was perfect in its simplicity. I mean that as a compliment. A hamburger as a hamburger should be. So with 3 hands you can "just" take a bite and all the flavors come into their own.

A super delicious burger/sandwich with chicken marinated in a garlic and lemon marinade. Burger fans will especially enjoy the menu, but any tourist or local should also find something to their liking and be deliciously satisfied.

We were there for lunch again today. We've rarely experienced such friendly and attentive staff. Many restaurants could learn a thing or two from their experience. From ordering to serving the food to paying, the staff were consistently attentive and, above all, clean. UPDATE We were in Trier again today (June 2025). It's been a few months since our last visit. What happened here???? Almost everything has taken a shocking turn for the worse. We were shocked at how quickly something really good turned into the opposite and will most likely change restaurants on our next visits to Trier.

There was a live fly larva on my burger that had crawled across the plate. It was absolutely disgusting. We immediately returned the food and left. That's absolutely unacceptable.

Nice restaurant, but unfortunately the staff seemed quite disorganized and stressed. We—and many other guests—sat for a long time with empty glasses. The food was okay, but nothing more. In the women's restroom, the toilet seats were missing from the first two stalls. There was toilet paper and towels on the floor. No one seems to be checking. On my way out, I had to spontaneously avoid a waiter because we would have bumped into each other otherwise. There was no sign of an apology or "thank you."

I was recently at Louisiana Trier and opted for the chili cheeseburger with sides. The menu said it was served with Cajun fries and coleslaw – sounded promising. The burger itself was tasty, juicy, and well-topped. Unfortunately, that was the only positive thing about my visit. The sides were a complete disappointment: the portion of fries was tiny, and the coleslaw consisted of a small blob in a sauce bowl – barely a tablespoonful. For €15.50, I expected much more – the price-performance ratio is completely out of whack here. What was particularly disappointing was that my warning to the server was ignored – no apology, no interest. Conclusion: The burger was okay, but the rest of the food was simply not customer-friendly. Unfortunately, it's not a place I would visit again.

Helaas geen goede ervaring. Hadden twee salades besteld en het meisje wat ons bediende zei dat hier 2 gratis kipgerechten bijkwamen. Waardoor het wel erg veel was, waardoor we erg veel hebben moeten laten staan. Op zich goed gegeten maar bij het afrekenen kwamen deze twee kipgerechten ineens bij de rekening. Toen we hierover een vraag stelde zei ze ik werk hier net dus ik weet dat niet. Toen zijn we naar een van de andere oudere bediendes gegaan die zeiden dat er een kip gerecht af ging maar dat we een deel wel moesten betalen omdat we er iets van gegeten hadden. Eigenlijk wilde ik niets extra betalen maar om een hoop stampei te voorkomen heb ik maar betaald. Ben het er niet mee eens maar ze hadden haar moeten beschermen door te zeggen fouten worden gemaakt maar daar hoeft te klant nooit voor op te draaien.

Today we had a bad experience at this restaurant, we ordered a salad and the person who served us said that a free chicken dish would be included with this order. The food itself was fine but a lot. However, when paying, it turned out that the chicken dishes were included on the bill. When we complained about this, the employee said I thought it was free but I was mistaken? However, you have to pay. When we refused, we went to the counter, who wanted to take some of it off, but we still had to pay part of it. Although I did not intend to do so, we did it anyway to avoid extra hassle. The girl who served us admitted that it was her fault, but she was not supported by her colleagues. She herself could not say sorry and only defended herself. It remains strange that a mistake made by an employee has to be paid for by a customer. All in all, very bad staff who defend each other in a very bad way.

Always recommended. The service is great, as are the food and drinks. It gets a bit loud from time to time, as they often have football on, but that's what makes it worth it. 11/10.

Absolutely not recommended. It takes forever for someone to take and deliver your order, even though it's not busy. The food is absolutely bland and tasteless. The drinks, well, the Pinot Blanc was quite okay. A shame. Good location.

Today on Mother's Day I went to Louisiana with my wife for breakfast. Of course, we were aware that there would be a higher volume on such a day than on a normal Sunday. But the operators should also know this and react accordingly. Operation: The young man, a trainee according to his chest emblem, had no chance of doing justice to the guests outside on his own. Another waitress would certainly have helped here. Nevertheless, you have to praise the young man for always being nice and friendly despite the occasional chaos!! For the buffet: Coffee quite thin for a coffee drinker. Sausages, salmon etc. apparently discount products?! Queuing at the buffet with a long queue is no problem. But then no knives and forks arrive at the front, no plates, no rolls, butter and croissants only at the second attempt. No chance of scrambled eggs. It was filled out again and again when asked, but in my opinion it was already too late. An employee should have been assigned here to solely take care of refilling. Furthermore, how can you set up a buffet so that the queue runs along the serving area? The already stressed employees are here again Unnecessarily slowed down and visibly annoyed. It's a shame, but absolutely not recommended on a day like this. We heard the same thing from the neighboring tables.

We had a terrible experience here. We were seated on the terrace and waited 20 minutes just to receive two beverages. After 45 minutes, one of us went inside to check on the rest of our order, only to be told—without apology—that the wine we had ordered wasn’t available. It would have been helpful if someone had informed us earlier. Instead, we were given two very small Aperol spritzes as a replacement. When it was finally time to pay, we were left waiting once again. I voiced my frustration, but the waiter simply repeated, “Cash or card?” without acknowledging the complaint. To make matters worse, after we left, my son overheard the waiter insulting us, calling us “idiots.” Completely unprofessional and disappointing. I would not recommend this place.

The waiter with the mustache became emotional, which I unfortunately think is a shame. Location is good but the service is unfortunately divided between really good and very disappointingly bad.

Sind bei unserem Zwischenstopp in Trier auf das Restaurant gestoßen. Da wir nicht viel essen wollten und nur eine kurze Pause eingelegt haben, haben wir auch nur 3 Bier und eine Kleinigkeit zu essen bestellt. Jedoch ist zu erwähnen, dass die Preise wirklich in Ordnung sind, die Tische sauber und das Personal sehr nett. Die Süßkartoffelpommes sind definitiv zu empfehlen!

Food was below average burger with dry bun, the side salad coleslaw (tasted like cheap farmer's salad) A mini bowl was a maximum of 1 tablespoon in size. The Homemade Icetea was lemon syrup with a pot of hot black tea ordered with a few ice cubes instead of 0.5 liters it was only 250ml. The only answer was that the ice cubes were missing, so when asked, they filled up with tap water. You should deliver the quantity that needs to be paid for. The chicken with salad wasn't that great either, very dry, the salad was like a mixture from a bag. It's a shame, I thought it would be a great visit. The service also seemed very annoyed.

After a strenuous day of touring in Trier, we needed a breather and found some relaxation here with a bottle of wine and water. Our friends still had something to eat. We had a lovely afternoon and the service was very nice, even if something was forgotten. But: no problem :)

Just made a quick stop to have something to drink. Everything was fine so far. Unfortunately a coffee was forgotten and there was nothing vegetarian to eat. I'm not picky, but unfortunately I couldn't find any food without meat. 😅

Waiter 1 complains that the guests are so messy and always dragging menus away. When he didn't have time to pay the bill after 15 minutes despite saying "I'll be right away" (he was standing at the counter talking to a colleague) and we spoke to one of his colleagues, "Hey, can't you see that I'm full of everything? - Hey!" That's how service works... And you won't see me there anymore.

Furthermore, there was no sound or music. Sports bars are usually dark and have a louder atmosphere. The highly praised burgers are a joke: The bun looks like a carelessly bought standard bun from the supermarket, the meat tastes like a meatball from Aldi, and who the hell would come up with the idea of ​​putting a thumb-thick slice of cucumber on a burger? What's going wrong here? The wraps are also disappointing - carelessly filled with little content and tasteless. The chicken wings are so over-seasoned and fried that they basically taste like nothing because they taste like too much - if that makes any sense. The cocktails Call me an alcoholic, but a cocktail should have a certain oomph. You treat yourself to a cocktail once a month - and are served an expensive lemonade. In our case it was a Long Island Iced Tea and a Caipirinha. The Long Island Iced Tea tasted like a cola with lots of ice cubes - no oomph, it completely lacks that disgustingly delicious taste that you expect from a Long Island. Normally you sit on the beach on vacation, treat yourself to a Long Island after months of work, and then lie around for two hours, deeply relaxed, because nothing else works - that's a Long Island! This one tasted more like a children's cola. Don't even get me started on the Caipi. Conclusion: All in all, it's not a good store and I can't understand why it's so busy at times. But to each their own

Very bad experience! It took 50 minutes to serve the food! Customers who came later than us were served before us. I think it was discrimination against us!! I will not come again

So, we sit down, order our food, and it arrives. No big deal, right? A waitress passes by and asks if everything is fine. We hadn’t even taken a bite yet, but out of politeness, we just said yes. Then we actually try the food. And honestly? It was horrible. The wings were so salty they were borderline inedible, and on top of that, they were burnt. The ribs? I don’t even know how to describe them—chewing on actual tree bark might’ve been more enjoyable. Zero tenderness, no flavor, just dry and tough. The Cajun fries? No Cajun seasoning at all. The barbecue sauce? Completely forgettable, no depth, no uniqueness. And the coleslaw? I swear it was the tiniest portion I’ve ever seen in my life—like a joke. My partner’s chicken filet tasted exactly like frozen grocery store chicken, which, honestly, at this point, would’ve been an upgrade. So, I politely mention that the wings are way too salty and ask for a replacement. And you know what they tell me? No. Why? Because a coworker had already asked me earlier if the food was good, when we hadn’t even started eating yet. Since we said yes (because who complains about food they haven’t tasted yet?), apparently that meant we forfeited our right to speak up. Then she tells me I can order something else, but I’d have to pay for it. So basically, I was stuck with food I couldn’t eat unless I wanted to spend even more money. I genuinely don’t understand how that logic makes sense. So because I was polite and didn’t immediately cause a scene, I lost my right to have edible food? The beer was alright though.

We are regular guests. Food has always been good. The prices are ok too. Ambiance is difficult when there is a lot going on as it is very loud. Staff is mostly friendly and attentive.

The worst New Year's Eve party I've ever been to. No understatement!!! When we arrived we didn't get the reserved table and none of the numerous staff there was willing to take care of it. We were also denied the included welcome drink, with the bar staff cheekily explaining that “we couldn't know whether we had already received it.” So we stood in the aisle as ordered and didn't pick it up and didn't get a table either. The best thing came before midnight, when we ordered a round of champagne to toast (charges apply). The bar then replied that there was currently no more sparkling wine in stock and that it had to be taken out of storage (before midnight on New Year's Eve?!?!?!). We received this at around 12:20, which meant we could finally toast the New Year. Afterwards we also left massively disappointed. All in all, a lot was promised at the beginning, but in the end it was a huge disappointment. I won't be visiting Louisiana any time soon.

American-style sports bar. Sports broadcasts on the walls. Nice atmosphere. But that was it for America. My meal, a piece of chicken with a slice of tomato and weak cheese gratinated, was completely bland. Plus completely dried out potato slices and salad. The latter was ok. My wife had pasta that was completely tasteless. Even less American than the food - our service. Completely bored and uninterested. Yes, in the USA you buy friendliness through a tip, but if I'm going for an American sports bar, then please do it right. It's a shame, because Lousiana has potential.

Very unfriendly staff! Our drinks were simply tipped over into plastic cups, with half of them spilling out. We were thrown out on the grounds that we were blocking the way, although this problem was caused by acquaintances who were not at our table. We just wanted to have a coffee and had to wait almost half an hour before we were even served. Drinks came in stages. The waiter only became really friendly when paying 🫤. We don't have to go there again...the staff is probably busy with other things

Service is outrageous. Being thrown out for no reason because we apparently blocked the way with the table they assigned us. If you want to go somewhere, it's best to go to the inn which is right next door.

I had to make an order with barmen as waiter never came. I was in a rush so I ordered food and when he brought it I ordered a drink. My drink never camr. However, when I asked for a receipt I said my drink never came. He packed the rest of my meal to go and charged me for the drink anyways. When I asked if I could at least take a sip of the drink that never came - blond waiter said he will bring it in 1-2min. I waited much more than that and decided to leave as I don't want to drink coke with his spit in it.... Never again will go there. Staff is very slow and not up to the task

The service is very nice and professional. The glass of tap water (which I used to develop the whiskey) was served without further discussion. Simple but good food. The most important thing: The "Louisiana" has "Highland Park"! Worth a visit for that reason alone.

In spite of what other reviews imply, this place seems to only show “soccer”. I went there to watch an American Football game and they said they never show that. Didn’t stay since they were closing early on top of that.

Egendomligt namn. Stället har ingen som helst koppling till den delstaten i USA. Varken maten eller dryck som erbjuds harmonierar med namnet. Fantastiska nachos, i övrigt ok. Inte en gång fick vi frågan om vi ville ha något mer och tog oss 10 minuter att få kontakt när vi ville betala. God öl, men så är det alltid i Tyskland.

Gericht gefunden, Preise notiert, per Anruf bestellt, abgeholt und zack 3,60 mehr gezahlt, als vorher gesehen. Eine Frechheit, wie wir finden. Ultimate Nachos lt Homepage 6.90 gezahlt haben wir 7.50. Spencers Chicken lt. Homepage 7.90, gezahlt 10.90 !!!! Vielleicht sollte die Speisekarte online dringendst überholt werden. 3 Punkte, da das Essen gut war.

The food was good. I only gave 4 stars because the name is misleading. Cajun fries, for example, we're nice and crispy, but were not Cajun seasoned at all. With a name like Louisiana, I expected more seasoning on everything. That said, my burger was cooked perfectly. The ribs and chicken wings are not heavily sauced like you'd expect in an American restaurant. It is served with sauce on the side, however, so you can add to your liking. The atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent. I would eat there again.
