Great place to eat with friendly staff

Unfortunately we didn't even get in. Waiting time of 45 minutes. Very unfortunate 😕 The store was packed

After attending an event in the arena, we wanted to have something to eat late in the evening. No problem at all in Louisiana. Friendly employees quickly brought the delicious 😋 and rich food to the table. Since there was also happy hour for various cocktails 🍸 🍹, we stayed longer and had a nice rest of the evening. Unfortunately it is very loud inside...

The restaurant was very busy and luckily we had reserved a table. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was a long time coming, after 1 1/4 hours it was brought to our table. Burgers and co made a pretty decent impression. However, I had ordered a salad and additional chicken strips. The lettuce was dried at the cut edges and looked like it came from a prepackaged package. The tomato wedges on top were also dry. The chicken strips were pressed ready-made schnitzels that were cut into strips on a separate plate. These were not thrown back into the pan or hairdresser, which was evident from the limp breading and lukewarm temperature. Visually and tastefully scary. I have rarely received such poor quality in a restaurant. I think if you go to Louisiana you might want to choose a dish like burgers and fries or pulled pork. The only thing that was really good was the service. Too bad.

Conclusion: More appearance than reality :-( The Louisiana is a cool location with very hard-working employees (who really have a lot to do due to the large shop space ;-)) and a menu with a lot of selection (cocktails, burgers, rips, etc.) It wasn't difficult for us to decide on dishes and we were full of anticipation. Unfortunately, this was extremely limited when the food was delivered to the table: these are finished products that are sold for horrendous prices. Among other things, we ate burgers: including the “Premium Burgers” on the menu, which feature a ready-made patty with something around it. This "meat" tastes terrible and hardly resembles minced meat. The wraps were attractively presented, unfortunately the very liquid sauce inside did not combine with the contents. Spare ribs and chicken wings were okay. Unfortunately, we find the prices for these dishes to be significantly too high and the quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Solid restaurant but with room for improvement 🍽️ Pros: ✔️ The atmosphere in Louisiana is cozy and modern. ✔️ The staff is friendly and accommodating. ✔️ Good selection of dishes. ❌ Cons: ➖ Waiting times could be shorter. ➖ Some dishes were a bit too salty and could have been fresher. ➖ The prices are in the higher segment and not entirely justified for the quality. 📌 Conclusion: The Louisiana in Oberhausen is a solid restaurant with good service and a pleasant atmosphere. The selection and the staff are convincing, but the quality and prices could still be worked on. My personal opinion – of course yours may be different! 😊

However, it is absolutely impossible that there is no WiFi for guests. I expect something like that to be standard these days...

Burger wasn't good, everything just tasted like sauce and the patty was inferior. Fries were ok. Ginger Orange Lemonade contained no ginger and tasted like Sprite. A waiter moved across a neighboring table right next to us.

We were there today with six people, including two children, and enjoyed a “pre-eve” meal around 3:30 p.m. The service was good – fast, friendly and really accommodating. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. We once ordered the chicken wrap and five burgers, of which two children's burgers were free due to the promotion (there is a free children's meal with every adult meal until 4 p.m.) - a really positive offer! But the quality of the food really left a lot to be desired. The entire burger seemed like a ready-made wholesale product. The meat was tough, obviously frozen and didn't taste convincing. For the bill of around €120 - including two beers, a large bottle of water and two apple spritzers - we would definitely have expected more, especially fresh meat, as is usual in a real restaurant. Under these circumstances we wouldn't come here to eat again. However, the location is “okay” for a drink.

Unfortunately, you have to put it this way: Apart from the location, the Louisiana unfortunately has almost nothing in common with the one from the early days. While it used to be possible to speak of an atmosphere like that of the southern states, there is hardly anything left of the loving, inspiring decoration. Where an entire wall was once decorated with photos of well-known musicians, there is now simply nothing left. Instead you see cardboard boxes and a German flag. The music selection no longer has anything to do with Louisiana, but there is a DJ playing outside. When we complained to him, he replied that it would be sorted out inside. A conversation at the table was only possible by shouting.

A highly recommended restaurant! Of course not cheap in price, but bearable. A burger costs €17, and cocktails or non-alcoholic alternatives cost €10-13. The selection is clear but completely sufficient, with vegetarian and one (?) vegan option. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the flat screens that show music videos (and advertisements) on the walls, but of course you can also sit so that you don't see the whole thing, or outside, so it's okay. The food was really tasty, I had the Ceaser Chicken Wrap, highly recommended. If requested, even without peppers :) When it comes to guests' requests, they really do what they can. I was there at lunchtime and it was relatively empty - in the evening it should generally be a bit more crowded. Generally a nice restaurant for burger lovers!

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The service was unfriendly and extremely disrespectful. When I asked to speak to branch management, I was told that the person in charge “didn’t have time.” This behavior is unacceptable and gives the impression that customer requests are not taken seriously. Overall, the visit was a bitter disappointment and I would recommend everyone to look for an alternative that values ​​friendliness and service.

The waitresses were completely overwhelmed. We sat for 10 minutes until someone came, even though we politely asked the waiter if we could order something. Food was good as were the drinks. But the service was bad, they kept skipping us. In the end it took more than half an hour to pay because no one helped us, and a tip was added without us wanting it.

I ate with my 4th child, I myself have a milk intolerance. The menu card conveniently indicates what the allergens are with letters, BUT BEWARE. That's not right at all, I ordered BBQ pulled pork. I don't speak German myself, so I just went by those letters with what I wanted to eat, and there was cheese in my dish. OBVIOUSLY the allergens are just not correct at all, be careful if you eat here. The waitress only kept talking German and also got angry at me because I should read the menu better. THEN I got a plate with only fries which I had not communicated, she got angry at me because I should read the menu better. Clearly their allergen map is simply wrong. I think it's really rude how poorly I was treated, I will never eat here again!!!!

Had a cocktail after the Fantastischen Vier concert, was in a good mood, the restaurant played Fanta4 music, simply wonderful. After a fantastic concert, the successful end. We didn't eat anything, so no review. Service friendly and quick. Merry Christmas 😊

The Louisiana is dark inside, but that's exactly what gives it its flair. The portion sizes of the dishes are quite large. So you can't complain about the prices for the dishes.

Mevrouw van de bediening zou op staande voet ontslagen moeten worden. Het was druk, dat begrijp ik. Maar… als ik na vier keer langslopen de serveerster wenk omdat ik wil bestellen en ze rolt al met haar ogen voordat ik iets kan zeggen is de toon al gezet. In mijn beste Duits vraag ik: “Kan ik bestellen alstublieft?” Waarop mevrouw me bits antwoordt: “Ik sta hier toch? Bestel dan!” Yoooo! Cocktail was prima al hoort een Hurricane (het restaurant heet Louisiana! Daar komt de Hurricane vandaan!) passievruchtensap te bevatten, nee dus. Salade van mijn vrouw verzoop in de saus, maar goed. Toen ik wilde afrekenen (serveerster negeerde onze tafel geruime tijd) vroeg ik aan een glazenophaler of hij iemand kon sturen. Vijf minuten later nog steeds niemand. Serveerster negeert ons. Nogmaals gevraagd aan tweede persoon die daar werkt. Nog steeds niemand die komt afrekenen. Toch serveerster aangeschoten die me toesnauwde dat ik even geduld moest hebben en ze écht écht écht zó zou komen. Maar ze kwam niet. Had andere dingen te doen, zoals kwekken met collega’s aan de bar. Uiteindelijk naar een kassa gelopen en nog als gevraagd of ik alsjeblieft kon afrekenen. Kreeg de volle laag van deze vrouw: ik had maar geduld te hebben. Waarop ik boos antwoordde dat ik het al drie keer gevraagd had en al twintig minuten zat te wachten. Dat was niet waar volgens haar. Ik ben kwaad weggelopen. Mijn vrouw heeft nog netjes betaald maar niet voordat ze van de serveerster nog te horen kreeg dat haar man een moeilijk mens was. Wat mij betreft wordt deze vrouw ontslagen. Zij begrijpt werkelijk NIETS van klantvriendelijkheid, gastvrijheid of vriendelijkheid in het algemeen. Niet dat het wat boeit want de zaak zal altijd vol zitten met stumperds als ik die als een lowlife behandeld kunnen worden zonder dat er iets verandert. Ik heb meerdere recensies gelezen over de bediening en dat loog er niet om. Klanten die bedreigd werden zelfs.

Cocktail was fine, although a Hurricane (the restaurant is called Louisiana! That's where the Hurricane comes from!) should contain passion fruit juice, so no. My wife's salad was drowned in sauce, but good. When I wanted to pay (waitress ignored our table for quite some time) I asked a glass collector if he could send someone. Five minutes later, still no one. Waitress ignores us. Asked again to second person working there. Still no one to pay. Still, the waitress was tipsy and she snapped at me to tell me that I had to be patient and that she would really come right away. But she didn't come. Had other things to do, like chatting with colleagues at the bar. Finally I walked to a cash register and asked if I could please pay. I got the full brunt from this woman: I just had to be patient. To which I angrily replied that I had already asked three times and had been waiting for twenty minutes. That was not true according to her. I walked away angry. My wife paid nicely, but not before the waitress told her that her husband was a difficult person. As far as I'm concerned, this woman is fired. She really understands NOTHING about customer service, hospitality or friendliness in general. Not that it matters because the place will always be full of wimps like me who can be treated like a lowlife without anything changing. Three drinks and a salad, €43.50.

It used to be better. Unfortunately quantity instead of quality. The nachos as a starter were a loveless affair. The burger was good, the California Bowl was a sticky disaster with mayo. It was a concert evening and therefore very crowded. It feels like a lot of untrained, unmotivated staff. But there is a toilet man and a plate for cash. Why? I haven't seen him in Germany for a long time. We probably won't come back again.

Individual wishes were not taken into account. They didn't want allergens in the order, but they were still prepared in the dish. One employee takes the order, the second brings the drinks and the third brings the food.

It has been around for 28 years now. The quality of the food is consistently good, typical American cuisine, the best chicken wings I know. And the burgers with steak fries are still excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio is right. You always have to think about what to expect. For me it is still one of the best American restaurant concepts in Germany.

A great location for anyone who loves delicious food, especially burgers! The burgers are fresh, juicy and creatively topped – everyone will find their favorite here. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to sit together and relax with friends or family. What's particularly great is that you can also watch live football games here, which makes the atmosphere even more lively. The service is super friendly and attentive, you immediately feel welcome. Definitely a place you'll want to visit again and again!

Great sports bar. No matter where you sit, you have a good view of various screens. Table reservation on Wednesday is recommended. It was very busy and unfortunately the service wasn't quite up to par, but it was very friendly and helpful. The food is exactly as you would expect in a restaurant like this, very solid. The waiters are simply rude... I work in the restaurant industry myself and was a regular customer at Louisiana and was insulted by the waitress. First of all I had to wait 30-40 minutes for my bill and when I asked about it they said “then don’t come eat here if you can’t be patient”. There was an argument and when I went back there the blonde waitress grabbed me and started an argument and said I wasn't allowed to come here anymore and that I was being rude. She said every waiter would gossip about me and told lies, she said she wouldn't serve me and that's why a boy came especially to take our order. My sister then also had an argument with her. Very bad there, can't recommend it at all, I loved it there but the last 2 visits were a disaster.

Yesterday I ordered chicken baked with mozzarella and tomatoes with fries and a side salad. You had to look for the chicken on the plate and the generous salad was put on the plate. It tasted good but the ratio didn't work for me. Service was friendly and the food came quickly despite it being full. The Lillet I ordered for 8.20 euros was a ready-made Lillet, meaning it wasn't freshly mixed. Quite steep for the price.

We always enjoy coming here. The food is great, the cocktails are delicious (especially during happy hour) and the service is nice and quick. Everything is currently decorated for Halloween, a lot of effort has been put into it, we really liked it.

After an event we went over for a quick meal and spontaneously managed to grab a seat for two. Super friendly waiter served us quickly and drinks and food were brought out in no time. Really crispy fries and decently sized portions, you can have the leftovers packed up and have lunch for the office the next day. I can recommend it, gladly again!

After a long day of shopping in the Centro, we had a good and tasty meal here. Children will also find something in the selection of dishes. For us it was burgers and salad. Even though it was a Friday afternoon and the outside terrace was full, we quickly received the menus we wanted.

Very nice tent! Good prices, great food and nice staff! From 5pm to close (2) cocktail happy hour, always fun 😉 Eating for 3 of us and some drinks cost us 68 euros. Went back later in the evening for some drinks (2 cocktail, 2 mocktail, 2 half liters of beer, 1 whiskey and a large nacho dish) we were surprised that it was only 55 euros 😅 Also surprised that food could still be ordered so late in the evening.

The food was okay - the price was definitely fair, but the taste wasn't necessarily such that I would have to go there again (my baked potato was quite small, which was compensated for with a lot of sour cream, in which it sank a little ). Maybe it was because the store was busy - it was always difficult to catch a waitress throughout the entire visit, even when something was forgotten.

Waren gestern da. Empfang sehr freundlich. Hatten uns etwas zu Essen bestellt,nach 15-20 Minuten war das Essen auch da. Das Essen von meiner Partnerin war lauwarm,meins ging so. Ich hatte einen Burger mit Fritten,meine Frau einen Auflauf mit Fleisch. Essens Bewertung eine glatte 4 ausreichent,kann man Essen,muß mann aber nicht essen. Meine Frau hatte nicht alles aufgegessen und bad die Kellnerin den Rest bitte einzupacken. Sie sagte kein Problem. der Teller wurde auf der Theke abgestellt,und nach 5Minuten kam der nächste Kellner mit Abfällen auf den Tablet und unser Essen was wir mitnehmen wollten ging Richtung Müll...... Das kann ja wohl nicht sein .so geht mann mit Lebensmittel um.Ein absolutes No Go.....
