We took advantage of the lunch special (available separately from the menu) with bread, one dish, and one drink per person. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was delicious; we had cannelloni and pangasius fillet. However, the portions could have been a bit larger.

Absolutely authentic, delicious Italian cuisine. I've been here at least 100 times.

Unfortunately, yesterday's birthday dinner wasn't as nice as usual. The service was quick and friendly, or rather the entire service, but the main courses were not convincing.

We ate here with family and were unfortunately very disappointed. The service was clearly overwhelmed; our food arrived cold, not even lukewarm. During my meal, I even discovered pieces of meat in my pasta sauce, even though I had specifically ordered the dish without meat. It looked like it had been bitten off, which I found very unhygienic and disgusting. I immediately brought it to the attention of the waitress. They told me they would pass it on and get back to me, but no one came. The bill also seemed chaotic; no one was quite sure what was going on. At the end of the evening, there was no apology or solution. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience for us, both in terms of the food and the service.

Highly recommended. The pizza was incredibly good, and you could really dig into the pasta. The service was very attentive and made you feel at home. We didn't have to ask for anything; the waiter was attentive and even brought Parmesan cheese for the pasta.

The delivery service is a disaster! The wait time is 90 minutes, and the pizzas are delivered cold. They're not receptive to complaints or clarification. Absolutely not recommended!

I was here with my girlfriend today at the Theatro CentrO Oberhausen on the promenade. This is a highly recommended Italian restaurant. It's a lovely atmosphere, and the kitchen is open, so you can watch everything being freshly prepared. I had pasta with duck and chanterelle mushrooms. It's a highly recommended dish. It's also very reasonably priced, especially since the portions are very generous. We'd happily return, and this won't be our last visit. Highly recommended.

The Teatro has been one of my absolute favorite restaurants for years. The staff is always friendly and very quick. You don't have to wait long for your food, even when it's busy. And the dishes are delicious, with generous portions. I always enjoy eating here.

Yesterday we went to our favorite pizzeria, Teatro, in Oberhausen Centro. The food was excellent as always, and the service and staff were top-notch! (Attentive, friendly, etc.) We're already looking forward to our next visit! ☺️

We had the set menu for lunch – it consisted of freshly baked bread and herb butter, a choice of pasta, pizza, fish, and meat, and a drink – even house wine – for under €20. The service was very good, and all four of us enjoyed the food – highly recommended.

The food was very simple. Pork fillet with 7 fries, 2 carrots, 2 broccoli, 2 beans. Turkey fillet with 8 fries, chicken with 6 fries, same vegetables. On the other hand, the pasta with salmon was a miner's portion. The pizza looked large. Drinks took quite a while. Addendum: Of course, there were 6 of us at your restaurant (attached are two photos of your menu). Perhaps the term "fries" is the wrong choice for your small potato side dish, but unfortunately, everything I wrote is true.

They are friendly, the food is not wow and the atmosphere is not either

Nice place, friendly, fast service, and good prices. Great, large pizza. One small suggestion for improvement would be to round out the flavor of the tomato soup with a little sugar or honey.

The food is a disappointment, even though the place has been there since Oberhausen Centro opened. The food is simple and lacks any particular flavor. The pizzas are okay, edible, but the pasta is a disaster, without exaggeration, no different from Miracoli spaghetti. So, if you like pasta, you should have zero expectations.

We paid €53 for three main courses including three drinks – that's definitely fair in 2025. The service was friendly, and the food arrived promptly. Since the weather was nice, we sat outside. The location in a restaurant strip is ideal – one restaurant follows the next, so there are plenty of options to choose from. We'd be happy to come back to this place.

The gluten-free food was delicious, the staff were knowledgeable, and the preparation of the gluten-free dishes was explained to us thoroughly. We felt very safe and understood with our celiac disease. Thanks to the great service and the feeling that everything was taken for granted. 👍

I know I'm a child but I'm speaking from my heart. My parents and I often go out to eat, we've been to countless Italian restaurants but this one was something special. My mother and I had bread as a starter and let me tell you, it was heavenly! (Unfortunately it was fatal because we couldn't quite finish our main course) A short time later our food arrived, I had spaghetti ricola with parmesan and cherry tomatoes (I'm not a fan of tomatoes so I skipped those) and my mother had spaghetti carbonara. My mother isn't that young anymore and in all her years she's been to thousands of Italian restaurants and she said it was the best carbonara of her life, my pasta was also perfectly al dente and delicious, service 5/5 really friendly staff and the atmosphere also 5/5 nice, quiet corner on the promenade. I highly recommend this place.

We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday and reserved a table in advance. The wait time was pleasantly short. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The food was truly delicious – we felt completely at home.

Several dishes were swimming in oil. Portions varied. Food was unsalted, service unfriendly. In the end, the waiter threw away the bill and disappeared for five minutes. We won't be eating here again.

Fair prices for the food, deliciously prepared 😋, friendly service, and plenty of space. The only drawback: the restroom was only accessible via a long flight of stairs, making it difficult for older people. But overall, it's recommended.

The food served was of terrible quality. There was no sauce, it was some kind of oily slime. And the potatoes were anything but fresh. The sauce looked like it tasted good, and I felt the same way that evening. I returned the food, and the waitress reacted rudely. I was the only one who didn't like it. The waiter was kind and at least took the food off the bill.

The restaurant is inviting with a pleasant ambiance. There's a sheltered terrace outside, as well as seating right by the water. The service was okay, not unfriendly, but not great either – solidly average. Orders were taken quickly, and the food arrived shortly thereafter. The food was very poorly presented, with the pasta "slapped" onto the plate (see photo). The quality was okay, but nothing was seasoned; you had to add salt and pepper at the table. Even then, the dish unfortunately still lacked refinement. It could be much better.

Ordered food. The two tables next to us got their food before us, even though we were there first. We asked for our food to come right away. After a total of 40 minutes of waiting, we just stood up. The employees just walk past us. Better to go to McDonald's.

Great place! My email asking about gluten-free options was answered very quickly, friendly, and, above all, competently. Gluten-free items are prepared separately to avoid contamination. Perfect for people with celiac disease. The pizza was delicious, and the service was courteous and quick despite the full house. Highly recommended!

We were there for lunch. We had a lovely outdoor seating area on the promenade. We ordered two pizzas. They were really good. Unfortunately, we can only give them 5 stars. The staff was very friendly.

The value for money is good, as of June 2025. Very friendly and attentive service. It's fun to watch the kitchen. The food is delicious. The pizza is great, but try the calamari or cannelloni, too. Special requests are accommodated. The only problem is that the seating outside is very tight.

We've been loyal customers for decades and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff seems to have changed, and nothing of the former quality remains. What a shame!

Very tasty, portions more than sufficient, almost too large, attentive service

The appetizer (shrimp) was far too expensive. The main course (spaghetti carbonara) was barely seasoned.

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the poor management will prevent us from returning. We were there on a Friday and had reserved our table months in advance. All I can say is, it was a disaster! There were about 20 people waiting with us; apparently, they were taking too many reservations. All the tables were occupied, and they had to check out tables to make room. Our praise goes out to the waiter, Ricardo. He kept an overview of the situation upstairs and tried to handle the situation as best he could, despite the grumbling of some particularly annoying and impatient guests.

We went there after a visit to Legoland. We were able to sit outside by the water. The atmosphere was great. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. My son was very happy with the extra lemon slices. Everyone really enjoyed the food. The pizzas were huge. The prices were very reasonable for the quality.

The service was unfriendly and the food was sometimes much too late at the table, so that everyone was almost finished when the last of us got our food. Pizza is underground, impossible to cut and tastes like frozen pizza! Value for money, 6!

I've known the restaurant for a long time and have always been happy with the food and the service. Was there again today after a long time, the staff today was very unfriendly, the food especially the salad wasn't worth the money in my opinion. I remembered the place differently, it's a shame.

Also da ist noch Luft nach oben. Man sitzt sehr schön draußen. Es dauerte allerdings etwa bis wir platziert wurden obwohl nicht so viel zu tun war. Der Service ist insgesamt jetzt nicht so motiviert. Das Essen war soweit ganz lecker. In meinen Gnocci fand ich, als ich fast aufgegessen hatte ein recht großes Stück Plastik. Als ich den Kellner darauf aufmerksam machte, war die Entschulding sehr halbherzig. Wahrscheinlich würde ich nicht nochmal hingehen.

Incredibly great restaurant right on the promenade. The squid on a beetroot puree with wild garlic pesto was really an absolute poem. Our pasta dishes afterwards were also perfectly coordinated. Asparagus and prawns were cooked to perfection. Very generous portions. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. The service is very attentive, patient and friendly and the ambience is just great, especially now in spring. We had a table right by the river and were able to enjoy our lunch to the fullest.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. The pizza was mushy and soft. The cheese felt like rubber. But the pasta with shrimp and asparagus was worse. Unfortunately the dish had no sauce. The noodles tasted bland and watery. I tried to save the dish with olive oil and parmesan. Unfortunately in vain. My partner and I had digestive problems all night and the next day because of the shrimp. So unfortunately I can't recommend the Essrn. The ambience was nice. The condition was committed.

The restaurant is recommended. I had the pasta with salmon, which was very tasty. Unfortunately, I also had a few bones with me, but that can't be avoided 100%. The service was good and quick, but a smile would generally do the service staff a lot of good, I always had the feeling that I was a nuisance. The ambience is very nice. However, the toilets could be cleaner.

It was my first time there and definitely the last time. The beer that came first was undrinkable and smelled bad. The dishes we ordered arrived after what felt like 3 minutes. The noodles were cold on the outside and warmer towards the middle. There can be no question of the spicy one that was ordered. The older waiter was unfriendly and didn't feel like taking the order. This was definitely the worst Italian we ate!!!

A failure from start to finish! Were there yesterday for the first and last time. Incredibly long waiting times until someone finally came to the outdoor restaurant - not to mention the waiting times for the individual courses and the drinks, unfriendly, rushed, stroppy service, the food was substandard (bruschetta was completely soggy when it finally came to the table, salad was dry with minimal dressing on it, pizza was also completely soggy) and I'm not even getting started on the price performance for the salad with salmon, for example. Absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant!

Went there for the first time today. We weren't looked at, the menu was thrown on the table. We had to wait a long time to order, we actually wanted to get up. The food on the other hand was a 10/10. Pizza and starters great. The ambience was also very nice.

Unfortunately the visit was a complete waste of time. After the starter we were still in good spirits, but were bitterly disappointed. The main courses arrived very late, which can happen in a full restaurant, but the quality was poor. The calzone was undercooked and overloaded with cheese, the pasta on the daily menu was overcooked and tasteless. The tagliatelle were actually supposed to be tossed in a bowl of Parmesan, but the cheese was just grated and carelessly sprinkled on top and didn't taste like Parmesan. I let the Gniocci go back the first time because they were swimming in fat. After the second time the sauce looked better, but the taste was still boring and the salmon tasted very fishy. The service was very attentive, but all in all very disorganized and the stress was very noticeable. Unfortunately I have to say that we won't be coming back again.

Unfortunately very disappointing after a shopping tour in the Centro. Antipasti was fresh and tasty, but more vegetables would have been desirable in relation to the seafood. For the main course I had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms tossed in a parmesan wheel for €19.90 and it was terrible! The pasta was slightly overcooked, not seasoned and not cheesy. First I had to sprinkle a lot of salt and pepper on it so that the dish tasted like something and had some character. The time between the starter and the main entrance was over an hour!

We went to the “Teatro” on a Sunday. The restaurant is very nice and offers a lot of space - similar to a theater with a balcony inside and offers a lot of space. The service is okay, but unfortunately a bit inattentive during our visit. Some wishes had to be repeated. The food is solid. We ate pizza and beef tenderloin. Both were good, but could also be better. Unfortunately, the pizza rolls for the starter are nothing. The prices for food are okay, but unfortunately high for drinks. We paid around €7 for a 0.5 liter beer and €4.20 for an espresso.

Very nice ambiance. The decor and the music make you feel like you're in Italy. Friendly and attentive staff. Fantastic food. We had rump steak and duck and were thrilled. I highly recommend it.

I had a salad that was unfortunately completely soaked in oil and therefore only tasted like oil. The service was very unfriendly, “please” and “thank you” were not used and you didn’t really feel wanted as a guest. Special requests, such as additional bread with the salad, were simply forgotten. Overall, average food in a very noisy atmosphere and poor service. No recommendation from me.

Food tastes like nothing. The last two times we were there it was completely free. Had beef fillet which was completely raw. My side dish spaghetti aglio olio is prepared with tomato sauce, minimal garlic and cherry tomatoes. When you ask what that means, you just say, I don't know, I'll ask in the kitchen. The store is not worth the prices on the menu. My wife's food was unsalted and tasteless. For customers who like delicious and good food, I advise you to avoid the store.

I had the lunch menu. The lasagne was very tasty. Delicious tomato sauce. The pizza rolls with the herb butter were ok.

The food here tastes very bland, and the ingredients don't seem to be of very high quality. The olive oil smelled rancid. The staff was also rather uninterested and slow. When I asked the waiter, I actually told him the food wasn't tasty, but he wasn't interested at all. I had a stomach ache after the visit.

Cozy restaurant with a sheltered terrace and additional seating, in the sun, on the canal. I think the lunch offer is great. The food was very tasty and appetizingly prepared. It's nice that Italian music is played. I love it when it goes with my food. The service was professionally attentive. What bothered me was that the starter was served quickly... I had just eaten the first roll... Then the main course came. It's a shame... but it can happen.

We were in the restaurant last night. Completely overwhelmed waitresses. Unfriendly. Eternal waiting times. 30 minutes to order. We waited almost 1 hour for the food. Drinks came after the meal. Wanted to cancel the meal in between. The people next to us did it too. So before it came. After about 30 minutes of waiting. However, it was said that this was no longer possible. The food itself didn't taste good either. When we didn't tip, the waitress became rude. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant at all. The fact that we received a rating of 4 stars here is inexplicable to us. All the guests next to us were also dissatisfied and complained.

The three of us ate there on a Saturday and had reserved in advance. Nevertheless, it took 20 minutes until we got a table, which was also on the terrace. When I asked if the patio heater could be turned on, I was simply told, "My colleague will do it" - then later, "Look, it's broken." So we spent the evening freezing and had to wait a long time for drinks and food, which didn't come at the same time and unfortunately didn't taste good. Ingredients such as vegetables or ham were almost not included, nor were spices. We still had to deal with stomach pains for hours. It's a shame because we were very enthusiastic about the food there a year ago.

We reserved a table for the second time after eating there once a week. The food was okay back then. When we made the reservation the first time, there was no reserved space for us...when we made the reservation for the second time today, we had to join a long line of people waiting. Again nothing was reserved. The staff is completely overwhelmed and the outdoor area now looks more like a fast food restaurant...this is not a service and not a feel-good restaurant. We won't be coming back

The restaurant itself is very cozy. We were there on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately the service was like a check-in. Very restless and everything seemed very stressful. The food tasted good. Unfortunately, special requests could not be taken into account at all. Comparatively expensive for the portion size.

Prices OK, food very tasty. During our visit it was very full and relatively loud.

Since the restaurant offers gluten-free options and I have celiac disease, I wanted to ask the waiter whether the dishes were also suitable for people with celiac disease. To my surprise, neither the waiters nor the chef knew what celiac disease was supposed to be, and the gluten-free pizza option is made in the same oven as the regular pizza. In the future, I would like the staff to be better informed about allergens/intolerances, as this represents a significant health risk for people of my type.

Everyone got their food except the only black person at the table. although it had obviously been ordered. When asked, they rudely said she hadn't ordered anything. The food wasn't really that special for the price.

Mein Hauptgericht für rund 20€ bestand aus sage und schreibe 5 Ravioli mit ein bisschen Sauce. Das war bestenfalls eine Vorspeise. Der sowieso schon lustlose Kellner sagte mir dann ich könnte ja noch ein Hauptgericht bestellen, wenn ich noch hungrig wäre. Wir sind dann direkt im Anschluss in ein anderes Restaurant gegangen, wo normale Portionen serviert wurden. Der Laden sieht uns mit Sicherheit kein zweites mal

Three of us were there on a Saturday without a reservation and got a good seat in the heated outdoor area. The service was super fast and very attentive. Our lasagna, the beef fillet and the tagliatelle with tomato sauce tasted excellent, as did the chocolate soufflé. Definitely a recommendation from us

A great restaurant with style. A bit inconspicuous and normal from the outside, the theater impresses with charm and good accents from the inside. The service is upscale, very friendly, accommodating and with a good overview. The selection on the menu is large and there is something to suit every taste and diet. The food came quickly and at a very good temperature. The portion was larger than expected and the price was more than okay due to this aspect and the fact that the food was very tasty! The seating was comfortable and there are enough spaces. All in all, really highly recommended.

We came spontaneously on a Saturday lunchtime with 10 people, space was quickly made and we were warmly welcomed! The service was incredibly fast and we didn't have to wait long for food and drinks. The pizza was a dream, wafer thin and well topped 😋 Price performance was great! Always happy!

We arrived at short notice with 7 people. Very friendly service from Heidi. Despite the full restaurant, there was time for recommendations, regular requests for drinks and other requests. The food was fresh and very tasty for all participants. The facility can tolerate one or two renovations. We enjoyed the evening and would love to come back.

We ate here last week and it was great. We were there today and I found something strange in the food. That looked really disgusting. I asked the waiter about it and he wasn't interested, so he didn't know what they were and said they were champions. I'm allergic to champions. He also looked funny.

Unfortunately an absolute disappointment! The restaurant was incredibly disorganized. We had to wait almost an hour for our main course - without an apology or an update from the service. Some guests next to us even got up and left because the waiting time was too long for them. In addition, dishes were loudly placed right at the counter, so that a relaxed atmosphere was completely impossible. I've never experienced anything like this! There is definitely no recommendation for this chaotic service.
