Unfortunately our visit was a disaster. Out of 3 meals, 2 were wrong pizzas. So I had to eat my curry noodles alone. When I was finished, the 2 real pizzas arrived. The curry noodles didn't taste like anything, unfortunately. The base of the two pizzas was so hard that it was difficult to cut them. The service could also have been friendlier. So all in all it wasn't a nice stay and doesn't call for a repeat.

Teatro is a nice Italian restaurant with a varied menu, good lunch options and friendly atmosphere and service.

I was just about to leave a review when I see the review below 👇 from my colleague, which I can't understand. We were there on Saturday and had a great starter with bruschetta and fish soup. Afterwards we decided on pasta and pizza, which were also very tasty. The whole thing was rounded off by great service.

It was a horror experience. I have no understanding why the restaurant has such a good rating. Service terrible. You had to wait an hour for the food even though it wasn't extremely busy. Half the table got their food while the rest had to wait another half hour. Anything can happen. But the pizza rolls were probably a few days old. The bread from the bruschetta too. The food was not seasoned, not even with salt. At home we were all left to have fun with nausea and diarrhea all night long. Once and never again.

The lady who served us was extremely friendly and competent and was able to give us some good recommendations. The food came very quickly and everything was delicious. Gladly again!

The Teatro restaurant is an absolute delight! The food was first class and the atmosphere is stylish and inviting. Particularly noteworthy is the waitress Rojda, who made the evening perfect with her friendly and professional manner. Your service was attentive and warm. All in all a fantastic experience – definitely 5 stars!

We always like to eat there when we are in the Centro. The food is very tasty and the conditions were always friendly, which has unfortunately changed. Portions (pasta) have become very small and are served on flat plates and spread out so that it looks like more. Once you had finished eating and brought it up, you were very rude and unfriendly. Since we have been going there for several years, it is questionable whether we will continue going there. What we also really like is that you can sit outside in any weather, thanks to the patio heaters.

Pizza, pasta dishes were all very tasty. Price performance top. Service very nice and accommodating. The only thing that was criticized was the volume. You could hardly have a conversation (open kitchen). It wasn't exactly a quiet evening.

Certainly the best option in the CentrO area for anyone who wants to dine well and pleasantly away from the usual catering establishments. The menu offers common Italian classics in three courses, and special requests are easily addressed. The service is authentically friendly, quick and very attentive. We really liked the outdoor seating by the water. Very good price-performance ratio and therefore full marks!

We were there spontaneously on a Sunday afternoon/evening and immediately got a table outside. Attentive service, small minus point, the day ticket was only given upon request. Food came quickly, was very fresh and tasty and the price-performance ratio was good. A small deduction for the ambience, there were still large IKEA signs hanging on the upholstery and all in all it didn't seem very tidy. Definitely recommended for a visit to the promenade.

Perfect place to waste your time. We waited over 30 minutes for the waitress, who walked past us every few minutes and said "One moment" to us twice. Guests who came at the same time (6 people!) were able to order and enjoy their food at the same time.

Very tasty food and nice portions. A lunch meal for €12.90 with a glass of beer and warm pizza rolls with butter and olives tasted very good. Lunch dishes are available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Polite service. Everything is great, you can sit inside or outside, under the terrace or a little further by the water. A successful visit.

We dined in there bcz my son wanted a pizza after Legoland. Pizza was not tasty at all! We took diavola and 4 cheese. It was sooooooo fatty, literally you can see oil over the pizza and it’s not an olive oil that was poured over, no! Any way, I do not recommend this place for pizzas.

We ate there yesterday without a reservation and were able to choose a table. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The starters and main courses were very tasty - we will definitely be back.

The staff is very, very friendly and the food is great! The inside of the restaurant already looks very nice, outside you can eat very nicely near the water, which creates a nice atmosphere despite the busy pedestrian zone. A clear recommendation is the mascarpone cream with strawberries for dessert!!

Noodles went back 3 times I was served the same thing over and over again. I didn't get spaghetti but mud. Totally oily food, an unfriendly basement and it got to the point where we had to speak to the manager. I was charged for things that I didn't order. The amount of chilli borders on bodily harm. Never again. All of our pasta dishes were not good to poor.

Went to the theater with 5 people on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, two of the main courses were served 10 minutes before the pizzas. The champions were missing from my pizza. Even though the restaurant was only half full, none of the waiters showed up at our table for the next 40 minutes. We therefore saved ourselves a second glass of wine or dessert. Next time we visit Centro we will try a different restaurant.

It's really nice to eat outside. It's very uncomfortable inside. It's very loud, the waiters are very hectic. We had the appetizer on the table within two minutes, hadn't even finished it and the pizza was already there... no place on the table. Drinks also came later. When these were empty, no waiter came back to take a new order. So it was absolutely uncomfortable and going out for a relaxed meal was absolutely not our thing. Very unfortunate..

We always enjoy going to the Theater when we are in Oberhausen. The quality is always good, the service friendly and fast.

For overall all experience I won't come back again, with no special flavours, sea food dishes were missing lots of seasoning, the service was not good, and the vibe was off.

We've always enjoyed eating here, but after tonight that's over. I've never experienced such a rude waiter

Absolute favorite in Oberhausen - have been a guest countless times. Very fast friendly service, excellent food. The fact that a 0.5l apple spritzer now cost €6.80 shocked me a bit. Yes, everything is getting more expensive (...). But even in the LANXESS Arena Cologne, 0.5l drinks cost less.

Went there without a reservation. Free choice of seats was possible. The waiter came very quickly and brought our order quickly. The food was very good and prepared with love. Price performance definitely fits. We will be back.

As always, very good food. The first time I sat on the right side of the hall, the second time I sat on the left, always nice and far away from the counter and the kitchen. Last time across the counter. We basically had to shout at each other, incredibly loudly, dishes/cutlery were stacked behind the counter. That had nothing to do with a cozy meal. It was a Sunday at 6 p.m. It's quieter in the full Coca Cola oasis. After the meal we paid straight away and went to the ice cream parlor for dessert. There you could end the evening quietly.

Good lunch, good value for money. We will definitely stop by there in the evening too.

We were here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I can't say what it looks like inside because we were lucky enough to get a seat outside. Ordering drinks and food was very quick, and the pizzas we ordered also came very quickly, which I think is positive. The pizza is price/performance ratio, good size, good taste and the price was right for us too. Which posed a mystery to us: Why were there 5 pizza rolls and 2 large scoops of herb butter (which were also good) for 2 people who each ordered a pizza? Parking situation is good, it's at the Centro. What made me a bit unhappy was the service, there was a lot of staff present, but we had to wait longer to pay than for the food, and the receipt was just "given to us" without comment. But it was also warm and there was a lot to do. Nevertheless, I will definitely come back and am willing to adjust my review.

It was a beautiful day to dine outside but the waiters were completely overwhelmed. The icing on the cake was the cold food and the waiter's response. Well then let's just warm it up.

We drove 2 hours to get here because the internet said it was open until 1am. When we arrived at the restaurant at 11 p.m., all the doors were already closed. The entire journey was free. Oh yeah, there's a McDonald's next door that's open.👍🏻

Maybe we should think about keeping the opening times up to date, so today we would have driven 2 hours and saved money on gas. It said online that the shop was open until 1 a.m., and at 11 p.m. we were standing in front of the closed doors, 5 minutes away is Mc Donalds, Bon Appetit.

The Teatro has a very good price-performance ratio. As a starter or as a snack before the meal you get pizza rolls, herb butter and olives, which I think is a very nice gesture. I have to highlight that Teatro on Centro Promenade stands out from other restaurants because it offers gluten-free pizza and pasta. Both celiacs and non-celiacs enjoyed them. We had 1 pizza, 1 gluten free pizza and 1 pasta. It was all very tasty!

We were there on a Saturday evening with 5 people. The food was bland and not really seasoned. The pizza was very thin and therefore rather sticky. The waitress seemed very intrusive to us and we constantly had his arm or stomach in our face and shoulder. We were also positioned right next to the scullery. This meant that it was very loud and everyone had to walk past us (there wasn't much space between the table and the wall).

Were in the arena with Torsten Sträter and wanted to eat a little something beforehand. Since everything was occupied everywhere, we ended up here. We were quickly shown to a table at the entrance. Both drinks and food took a while. After asking that we had to go to the arena program, everything worked out on time. It was full, the staff was visibly stressed (that's clear). Then the food came and we agreed: price-performance was okay - the taste was good. And... the waiter was stressed, but never unfriendly, on the contrary, he joked with us. I have been eating at this restaurant for 15 years I wanted to eat there today at 9:55 p.m. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was no one left in the kitchen and no one was cleaning up. Only the waiters walked around the room. I wanted to eat something and I was told that the kitchen was unfortunately already closed, even though the opening time on the internet was stated to be 11 p.m. This is probably a joke and an absolute impudence. I had an answer of 10 km. Me and my family will no longer enter this restaurant, lazy people are no longer allowed to earn money.. a restaurant is a restaurant to eat and not a bar to drink alcohol. This means that what is important to me as a guest is the opening time, how long it is open, how long the kitchen is open. In other words, if it says opening hours until 10 p.m., I know there will be food until 10 p.m. If they are open for another hour after that for guests to drink or eat in peace, that's okay, but for me it's okay the kitchen is crucial in a restaurant

Perfect Italian cuisine, great service and a super central location

Mass processing in a very unpleasant way. Very loud. The waiter couldn't remember a single order the first time and was only a bit friendly every now and then. We had turkey steak and the portion was a joke. We have never experienced that you leave a restaurant NOT FULL. We complained about that too.

Nicely done restaurant, pizzas and pasta very tasty. Despite the restaurant being very full, the food was on the table super quickly and the friendliness of the staff was also very good despite the stress of serving.

So first of all, I think it's very good that there is the "gluten-free" option for all pizza and pasta dishes. However, the bottom of the gluten-free pizza was burnt. When the waiter asked us at the end how the food was and my mom said that it was Pizza was burnt from the bottom, there was no apology or anything... In general, the entire staff seemed annoyed and unmotivated. So unfortunately you didn't feel comfortable there. My meal was really tasty, but the steak was a little too well done.

As a starter there was delicious bread with herb butter, which in my opinion could have had more herbs, but since it was considered a gesture from the house we don't want to complain. The casserole was fresh and very well seasoned, the salad with scampi was also very tasty, but it lacked a bit of seasoning. Überfordertes, unmögliches, unfreundliches Personal. Übers Essen können wir ichts sagen, da uns bei so einer Behandlung der Appetit vergangen ist. Man wird angeschnautzt, dass man im Weg steht, das Personal wäre schließlich am Arbeiten, setzen darf man sich aber auch nicht, aber Gäste vor uns hatten uns schon vorgewarnt und viel Spaß gewünscht. Jetzt wissen wir, was sie damit meinten.

You'll get talked at stupidly because you're in the way, but you're not allowed to sit down either. Other guests have already warned us and wished us a lot of fun. This also scares guests away and they never dare to try to eat there again. One location further on, it tastes great and the staff is very nice.

Ontzettend goede pizza en een gezellige atmosfeer! Het eten zelf is erg betaalbaar, maar daar tegenover staat dat het drinken wat aan de dure kant is. (Overigens wel fatsoenlijk grote glazen.) Snelle bediening, maar tijdens de topdrukte wel wat gehaast waardoor ze wat gestresst overkomen. Verder is het personeel wel erg vriendelijk.

Das Personal war komplett überfordert. Wir mussten ewig auf unsere Getränke warten. Am Nachbartisch hat erstmal ein Gast sein Essen bekommen und wirklich 15 Minuten später die restlichen Gäste. Eine Dame vom Personal hat es leider mit den Tischnummern nicht hinbekommen und lief mit jedem Teller fragend durch die Tische, wer das Essen bestellt hat. War wirklich sehr chaotisch. Aber bei allem Stress war das Personal super freundlich

Super tasty pizza both normal and gluten-free and that's saying something. Restaurants often don't offer a gluten-free option and if they do, it doesn't taste good. The ambience was good, we sat upstairs on the balcony. It was a bit louder and stuffy there. Service was great.

Massenabfertigung, Vorspeise und Hauptgericht werden gleichzeitig zum Tisch gebracht. Angeblich weil wir nichts anderes gesagt haben…. Hallo? Wenn wir einen Nachtisch bestellt hätten, wäre der dann auch schon gebracht worden? Die Bedienung war unfreundlich, keine Entschuldigung, nichts…. Das Essen war sehr geschmacksneutral. Wir gehen sehr gerne und oft italienisch essen, aber hier waren wir definitiv zum letzten Mal. Da sind wir Besseres gewohnt!
