L'Osteria Nürnberg am Hans-Sachs-Platz in Nürnberg

While I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, I make a big exception for L'Osteria: Whenever I travel for business, I always head straight for a branch, because you can expect good quality there. This is also the case (or rather, especially) in Nuremberg at Hans-Sachs-Platz: Even on my fourth visit, everything is perfect: The staff are really super friendly, the food is delicious, the portions are generous, and here you can sit in a beautiful spot in the middle of Nuremberg and enjoy pizza and pasta in the sun. Even our large group of 14 people was served very quickly - and the food arrived almost simultaneously for everyone. One thing is clear to me: Whenever I'm in Nuremberg, a visit to Hans-Sachs-Platz is already firmly in my plans.

Food was cold and service didn't seem interested in taking care of the guests despite several hints.

We already know the L'Osteria chain from other cities (Dresden, Berlin). We had reserved a table for two people here in advance. The placement wasn't optimal (in the middle and loud). The service is trying hard, but apparently a bit overwhelmed and then the "godfather" behind the counter... unfortunately doesn't seem likeable and rather repulsive! Food was average, so not great. A bit small in quantity for the relatively high price.

Unfortunately the app didn't work, it was difficult to understand the order, it took a long time and was wrong, despite repeating it several times. Online reservation options were not implemented. The food was good.

Disastrous service - waited over an hour for the pizza - Pizza was cold - 2 shared pizzas were incorrectly placed on 1 plate - Pizza was baked in the oven with arugula - no attempt by the service to repair the damage Too bad!

Unfortunately, more appearance than reality. The service is very inattentive, everything is quick and quick, even though the store is almost empty! In addition, it is simply common decency to talk to someone you don't know, unfortunately not the case here. The pizzas were dry, we left more than half of them. Neumarkter and Pirkheimerstrasse are worlds better. Regarding the ambience and location, we wanted a table where the seats were padded because we are a bit older, we were told that these 7 tables were reserved, we sat for 1 hour, these tables in question were still empty.

We entered with low expectations because we were hungry, but we left very satisfied. The pizzas were big and delicious, the lasagna was also good. I can say that the prices are reasonable.

L’Osteria in Nuremberg was very busy during our visit – the restaurant was full, which indicates its popularity. Despite the high number of people, there were enough staff available so that operations ran smoothly. The service was fine: friendly, but slightly stressed given the number of guests. The food tasted solid and was well organized for the large number of people. A small point of criticism concerns the Amore Hearts system: Although we explicitly mentioned that we were collecting when redeeming points and in conversation with the waiter, we were not informed of any changes. That was a bit disappointing. Apart from that, the visit was okay overall – not a highlight, but not a letdown either.

If you arrive at 8:30 p.m. you have to wait at least an hour

Quality has deteriorated significantly. Pizza dry. Pasta unappetizing. Forgot salad and didn't apologize. Hardly any service there. No recommendation.

We have been to restaurants from this chain in other cities several times and have always had positive experiences. But this restaurant unpleasantly surprised us from the start, especially the staff at the entrance. We also experienced clear prejudiced behavior from the staff. It was rude, inattentive and unhelpful. We had to wait 30 minutes even though the restaurant was almost empty. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to try the dishes as we lost all desire to eat after the rude treatment at the entrance. The unprofessionalism of the staff is the main problem!

I have been here first time but never expected so bad Pizza I will get from them I have been to so many L osteria but this one is the worst pizza I have ever had not properly cooked food.

From a party of 6 all of us suffered upset stomachs and Diarrhoea. Avoid !

Unfortunately this time it was very disappointing. L'osteria is actually always a good alternative. Unfortunately it wasn't this time. There were two of us and we had 2 pizzas. Both orders came to the table incorrectly. Unfortunately one had to go back and was then carelessly slammed onto the table. The service was very rude and inattentive. That's a shame because I'm actually used to better things from L'osteria.

SO… Pizza chain known for its large pizzas. With extra olives – there were 6 of them!!! It could use a bit more seasoning. Tiramisu standard: good. SERVICE: - the nice ladies are overworked and seem to be giving away espresso/schnapps on the house for good reviews (but only 1 for 1), as if we were on a voucher week…

My first experience with the restaurant chain was generally solid, if not great. Since I have no reference or gauge to other restaurants in the chain, my review refers exclusively to this experience. I had a tomato soup as a starter and to be honest it was a big disappointment. I have tasted many tomato soups in my life, few if any tasted as uninspiring and bland as this one. The butter content was around 70%, the pure tomato content was a maximum of 30%, which is not how it should be in my opinion and I have already tasted tomato soups in Italy. A tomato soup has to have a certain intensity and express tomato note, this one seemed as if the actual tomato soup had just been finished and the rest wanted to be used somehow. My Italian friend would have been offended that something like that cost over €7. And I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just honest. I have no idea if it's served as standard, but I honestly hope not. Especially because I can't explain who prefers something like that, I mean it was mainly butter sauce and it was almost white in color, faded orange. And of course she didn't seem fresh either. Now to the mostly positive rest. As the main course I had Penne Arrabbiata and that's exactly how Penne Arrabbiata should taste, intense, fiery-spicy, balanced and very tasty. The noodles themselves weren't cooked too soft, which I find quite positive. In my opinion, the portion could have been a little larger. I'm a person who gets hungrier when it comes to pasta and I would say the portion is definitely 10% too small. Of course it can fill you up, but not for everyone. I should mention that I had already been warned that the portion would probably be too small for me, which is why I asked the waitress if it would be possible for me to have a little more for an additional charge. To be honest, I don't think this request was passed on or it was simply ignored. But in other pictures I don't see any smaller portions than the one I got. Nevertheless, as a pasta lover, I still want to mention that I will definitely come back because of these arrabbiata, because they were really very tasty. To finish I had the panna cotta, which was absolutely perfect. I really can't say anything negative about it, that's exactly how panna cotta should taste and be served. For a chain, my first impression was generally good/solid overall, but there are definitely better Italians and quite a few here in Germany. Nevertheless, I can generally recommend L'Osteria, if we leave out the tomato soup. The coffee was also solid, but I also found the cocktails to be a bit bland.

Nice Italian restaurant with delicious dishes. There were 14 of us without a reservation and they put us in a private room. They let the kids paint and were very patient with the kids and the little bit of noise they made.

I would definitely recommend it. The food was delicious. My friends' drinks were also delicious. The first server was a bit unfriendly, but maybe she was just having a bad day. Later, a gentleman took over, and he was very funny and friendly. Overall, a great evening with delicious food and good drinks.

Very rude staff. We came from Café Katz opposite and wanted to sit outside in the Osteria opposite. Unfortunately we made a really “bad mistake” and entered the garden “sideways” instead of from the front. The waitress came and shouted at us in front of everyone that we wouldn't be served like that, the entrance is from the front - but it really wasn't visible from the side. She gave us a table and ignored us for 20 minutes and didn't serve us. Then we got up and left. It was 4 p.m. in the afternoon and everything was free. There is nothing more to say…….., very cheeky and never again.

Basically delicious as always, but L'Osteria has also raised its prices significantly. Charging 11 euros for a Margherita is borderline.

We weren't that hungry so we just got starters, definitely the right decision because even though it didn't look like much, it tasted very good. In addition, the burrata was of good quality, as was the bread, definitely recommended. Service was good and friendly. There's not much you can say about what's on offer, but I really liked the fact that the tables were placed far apart at this location so that you had your own space.

Im so disappointed! I made reservation online 2 weeks ago,I specifically wrote that I will need a high chair and that we are celebrating my childs 2nd Birthday. When we entered, The host asked us how many people are we ,he didnt even ask about my reservation,even though I tried to tell him but he didnt pay attention to me. The table was dirty,there were crumbs everywhere. We set with my husband and my child,I ordered a pizza for her and after 30min,while feeding my kid on my legs I decided to ask for a high.chair and the waitress said that they do have one..You have a chair and you dont offer one,why??? And why was there no high chair when i asked about it in the reservation?! After we ate all the empty plates were infront of us,we tried to grab out waitress attention, but she was way to busy with the table near us (where everyone spoke german,not english like us..) She was serving and picking up their things ,but did even look at us,not even when we were trying calling her to order additional stuff.. so after waiting for more than 30 minutes i took all of our guests plates and took it to the bar ,which is unacceptable.. Im so sorry that i picked up this restaurant, ruined our special day. If you cant handle what was noted in the reservation, better decline it !!

We booked a table online, everything was OK, the staff were helpful and friendly. The pizza Nduja was a bit sparsely topped, we don't know that, so I'm deducting the food points. Service had to suffer because of the payment policy with card! Tip 10%, followed by 8% and only at the end can you freely choose an amount!?!? We (there were four of us) didn't like it at all!

When I look at the reviews, people complain about the unpleasant and slow service, or the place in the restaurant. I don't know if they were in the same company as us. Upon arrival we asked for a table for two and were told to wait 5 minutes until I came back from the toilet, so my brother was already sitting at the table. If someone doesn't like waiting for a table, you can go elsewhere and not write that bad review. The toilets are clean, the table as well, the environment very pleasant and cozy. The service was very nice, they also spoke to us in English and we were warned in advance about the possibility of a % tip when paying. The food was very good and the last time I had such good pizza was in Italy. Food portions are large. I would like to add that at the time we arrived the restaurant was full - approximately 100 people and despite that we got our food very quickly. I highly recommend the restaurant and if I ever pass by again, we will definitely stop by again.

I like to try L'Osteria restaurants in different cities. This one was relatively low on Sunday evening, so the ordering time was very reasonable. My lasagna & salad were delicious by default. Only for this price the main course was a bit too small for me. Otherwise the cleanliness and service were good.

The barman's behavior is unacceptable and offensive! the boy who stands at the door and accepts people is probably just there for decoration, and his manner is also harsh, he can randomly stare at you until you feel uncomfortable. The food is sometimes very good, and there were times when I ate it because I was hungry. The atmosphere is cold and you get the feeling that you are unwelcome.

I had a reservation despite that I still had to wait 20 minutes. Food was average and in my opinion pricey for what you get.

During our girls' night out, the attentive staff recognized that we were celebrating a birthday and brought us dessert on the house through all the service staff. Mega cool atmosphere - gladly again. Above all, the young blonde service person is a gem, super nice and totally committed.

On the weekend the pizza there tastes like any other L'Osteria...but during the week it always disappoints me. For example, a raw egg on my pizza and after advertising I was offered 10% (=2€), but I couldn't eat half the pizza because there was raw egg everywhere...as an alternative they asked me to put the pizza back in the oven , which I then accepted. When I got the pizza back, part of it was black and the other part was dry and I still had to pay the full price... so really good on the weekend but not recommended during the week!!! (Probably only the new ones or interns work there🤷‍♂️)

Pitiful, pathetic place. I spent about 40 minutes in the restaurant trying to make an order, but no waiter came, although many of them saw me multiple times as I called them. But hold on, this is not the story. The story is this. I wrote a comment here about this situation long ago, and I just received an email from Google that the restaurant has filed a complaint against me because of this comment. And they required Google to remove the comment unless I “provide evidence” that I was their client. Well, they do not have 15 seconds to serve their client, but they have hours to write denunciations and censor! Not even speaking about ethics, this just completely makes no sense from the business standpoint, which itself tells a lot about this pathetic place.

Terrible experience. After eating pizza (which already looked very bad in itself), the whole family and one child were acutely ill with vomiting for 2 weeks and I even had to go to the hospital. What a nightmare. Zero hygiene!

Our visit to L’Osteria in Nuremberg was a very positive surprise! When we first looked at the menu we were a bit surprised by the high prices, but once the pizza is served you understand why this restaurant is so popular and the price of the pizza quickly becomes relative considering the size and size the quality. The taste is simply outstanding, and the size of the pizza is really impressive - no one will definitely go home hungry here! The price-performance ratio for the pizzas is unbeatable. When it comes to pizza, we'll be happy to come back any time. A great restaurant that we can recommend without reservation!
