L'Osteria in Nürnberg

Although the food was delicious, the service was subpar. The manager is always very rude and not customer-oriented 😏😏😏 It was one of our favorite restaurants, but the service was poor. Unfortunately, we will look for an alternative.

Unfortunately, a disappointing visit Our visit to this restaurant was unfortunately a bitter disappointment. Food: The pizza we ordered was not only cold, but also completely dried out. Cutting it was almost impossible – it literally crumbled into dust when we tried. The taste was also unconvincing and didn't meet our expectations in any way. Service: The service also left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed very inexperienced, disorganized, and at times overwhelmed. It took about 30 minutes between serving our drinks and taking our food order – even though it was a Saturday night and several tables were free. We felt overlooked and ignored several times. Unfortunately, I can't share the positive reviews of other visitors.

I always enjoy going to this L'Osteria. The atmosphere is great, and the terrace is especially beautiful. The service is always excellent and polite. The gentleman with glasses and tattoos is especially accommodating.

I actually love this local… Super nice atmosphere and also delicious food. Unfortunately there is only a certain older waiter who is quite rude. If he thinks you don't tip enough, he throws the rest of the money on the table and simply walks away. And otherwise he's just plain rude.

The pizza was burnt, you can see that in the photo. Pizza Hawaii, to improve the taste I would make it with white sauce with chicken and pineapple, it would be more tender, but that's also a matter of taste. If it is tea with mint, then in my opinion, again subjectively, tea should serve as the base, white or green tea will do. Always good service and atmosphere. Pizza size is big, so either prepare your stomach or your box to take half at home with you. Delicious, though. The terrace is also nice, but inside the decorum is amazing.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. The older waiter clearly overcharged me and tried to sell it as a tip. When I asked, it turned out that I had supposedly paid more than half of the bill as a tip (€18 tip on a €35 bill). However, that wasn't the case. It turned out that the waiter knew exactly how to proceed - he asked in advance whether I wanted the bill, only then told me the price and then typed it into the debit machine himself. This all seemed very strange to me and didn't leave a trusting impression. It was obviously an attempt to deliberately manipulate the amount. The matter was only resolved after a conversation with a supervisor, who fortunately refunded the money. What particularly disappointed me, however, was that the boss didn't even seem surprised or concerned. It seems like the waiter's behavior is tolerated here. Definitely the last time I was in this restaurant for me. What a shame!

Unfortunately a bit slackened. Pizzas were always very good, but now a bit expensive. On my last visit I had lasagna… felt like frozen goods, Mikiportuon for 14.90 - there are better alternatives…

I think the atmosphere is great! Service needs to be optimized a lot, I took it in stride because the waiter was very personable and it was his third day there! Reason: starters were not brought, forgotten! The taste…..not really authentic Italian but ok! My son said (he had pizza) that it was true, but leeks have no place on a pizza! Overall ok, but I don't really need to go again!

Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience this evening. As you can easily see in the picture, the soap dispenser in the women's toilet completely soaked my clothes. That alone would be annoying enough, but unfortunately the staff's handling of the situation was unacceptable. Instead of showing understanding for the situation, which was very unpleasant for me, I was told that unfortunately no one could say anything about how to use the soap dispenser and what I would expect now (until then I didn't know that it was even possible to use a soap dispenser incorrectly). What I'm primarily concerned with here is not the incident itself, but rather the behavior of the staff on site. In my opinion, such behavior is completely out of place in the catering industry. I found the interaction to be unprofessional, if not disrespectful.

Nice atmosphere, if you have enough time you can take a look. Until you are served and food arrives. Unfortunately we're not coming anymore. Been disappointed too many times.

First of all: This is just my personal experience and does not mean that other guests feel the same. But now to my visit: We had reserved a table, but still had to endure a short wait before we were finally allowed to sit down. The restaurant was very full, which meant that the staff were visibly overwhelmed - we were forgotten several times or not noticed at all. Our table was inconveniently located, directly behind an open cupboard that the waiters frequently used. Even more disturbing was the nearby trash can, which was constantly being opened and closed again with a loud bang. In addition, we were occasionally splashed by cleaning water that was used for the tables - fortunately never directly into the food. The pizza was visually appealing, but the taste was a bitter disappointment. The dough had more of a cookie consistency, which was really unacceptable for the price. In combination with the benefits of 1. FC Nürnberg membership, I was just able to bring myself to pay the amount. All in all, this restaurant visit was unfortunately not a success. If I were to consider coming here again, I would definitely think twice.

Here you can enjoy the best pizza in the world. I have been to number of countries but haven’t ever tasted a Pizza like this. Simply the Best 🌟

Went there on a Saturday at 8pm. We made a reservation, but we had to wait 10 minutes for a seat. Drinking came relatively quickly. However, eating took far too long. We were pretty upset because the music was really unbearable and way too loud. When the pizza came after 40 minutes, the waiter hit me on my brand new pants with the dripping oil because the pizza went over the edge of the plate. The food itself was quite good, but far too much oil and waiting with this music is unfortunately really not good for you. I think it's a real shame because the store looks really good from the inside and could be really nice with quiet and relaxed music. Price performance is quite ok. It really doesn't have to happen again

An excellent experience at L’Osteria Nuremberg (Tullnaupark)! From start to finish our visit was a real highlight. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent service from waiter Jakob, who contributed significantly to a wonderful evening with his friendliness, attentiveness and professionalism. Thanks to his courteous manner, we felt completely at home. The food was great too - the huge, perfectly cooked pizzas and delicious pasta dishes exceeded our expectations. The quality of the ingredients and the loving preparation could clearly be tasted. An all-round successful experience – we will definitely be back!

Very good food, but very busy and you have to wait.

After tonight's dinner, I can't do without this review. I actually wanted to give a rating after the first disaster, but I thought that maybe it was a one-off and that you shouldn't give it a bad rating straight away. 1st disaster: Waited 30 minutes so we could order, then we had to wait another 2 hours (!!!) for the pizza because it suddenly rained outside and most people had to go inside. All well and good can happen, but I saw how the waitress only gave the order to the kitchen after an hour and after repeatedly asking that we wanted our pizzas. 2nd disaster: Waited 1 hour for the pizza and when I wanted to pay, I had to wait 30 minutes until I got the bill on the table. 3. Disaster: Ordering went quicker this time than last time, but I had to wait almost 25 minutes for the bill again Surely it can't be too much to ask to type and print out an invoice? It always just says "the colleague will be with you in a moment" or "I'll come straight away" etc. But when I see the colleague taking orders from others or trying to send another colleague to me and he in turn takes a long time because he has something to do, then I feel sick. Either your system doesn't work properly or you simply don't have enough employees. I also have to mention that your employees hardly look around to see whether customers need something or are in touch. Instead, I was at least very often “overlooked”, so I sometimes feel like I have to shout so that someone comes towards me. I can't complain about the food because otherwise I wouldn't have come at all the second time, but the rest just doesn't work for you and otherwise the food can be as good as it wants. Update: Things have clearly improved. Great service. Food great as always. Update 2.0: So that was it with LOsteria. Waited for an extremely long time and then the pizza was burnt. We were then told that we would be given a discount. When the bill came, the device was put down and another customer was briefly taken care of. There was no sign of the discount. Since our little one was crying, I didn't want to argue and leave quickly. I then mentioned it again briefly and then they said that they had forgotten it. As an apology we were given a black coffee for three people. Great.

I've never been so rudely approached by a waitress (the gentleman with the glasses). We immediately drove back to L'Osteria on Pirckheimerstraße. The service there is friendly 👍 It was barely busy.

Disappointing – Burnt pizza and no real compensation! There were three of us at L'Osteria and we were looking forward to a good pizza. Unfortunately, we were served a completely burnt pizza – black and hard like chips, absolutely inedible. Since it was Lent and we were already running late, we didn't want to exchange the pizza because the wait would have been 30 minutes (maybe more). As "compensation," we were given only a single Caffè Crema to go – for three people! Absolutely outrageous. Poor service, inedible food!

Unfriendly and rude service at entrance

I've been visiting L'Osteria at Tullnaupark for years. I like going there because the service is really more than friendly and accommodating. They respond to individual requests and the food tastes consistently good. The only thing I would have to complain about would be the loud music, as I really had to half shout at the person I was talking to - to put it exaggeratedly. Still come back.

A bit noisy, but the food is delicious. Service wasn't great that day. We couldn't order more drinks because no one came. They were apparently very stressed because it was so busy.

Although we reserved a table twice, we still had to wait like 20 minutes for our table. After we arrived at our tables we had to wait 15 minutes before we can make an order. We ordered drinks and Pizza. We had to wait for 1 Hour until our food arrived. The Pizza is really nice but apart from that it's really not worth to waste the time and money on this place. The prices are also really high. Better places in Nürnberg to enjoy Italian food.

Top quality pizza. Beautiful atmosphere. A little longer wait from order to serving, but ok.

Despite making a reservation a week in advance, we were able to get the last makeshift table between the counter and a pillar right on the kitchen aisle, where you could just sit for two people. I had already finished my meal for more than 10 minutes - even though I was eating extremely slowly - when my husband finally received his order. That's not possible at all, and even being friendly doesn't help anymore. At least 1 espresso should be included as a small apology. If we hadn't had an appointment, we would have left the restaurant without pizza and gone somewhere else. Food is ok, but not so great that you would want to do it again. The prices are clearly too high for this level of service and just average food. Almost 17 euros for 1 pizza with a few slices of salami and 2 cocktail tomatoes and 15 euros for a salad in which the nuts, apples and beetroot in homeopathic cans have to be looked for with a magnifying glass...phew.

Unfortunately, I can't really understand the good reviews and high volume of this restaurant. First of all, the music was way too loud, you could hardly have a conversation. The pizzas were huge and looked good (hard to eat because the plate underneath was much smaller), but you shouldn't order pasta and salads there. Getting such tiny portions for around €15 is really a disgrace. I have never left a restaurant hungry again. One of us had ordered a side salad with her pasta, but it only came when she had almost finished her pasta. Generally, the salads we ordered only arrived when the rest of the table had almost finished eating. The spritz drinks tasted stale (some of them were complained about and replaced). The positive thing is that our feedback about the size of the portions was well received and a small compensation was offered, which accounts for the second star in this review, but I didn't feel like I was being taken 100% seriously, even though the waiter was really very nice and accommodating. What I can't imagine, with the best will in the world, is that there have apparently never been any complaints about the size of the portions and that people tend to "complain" that it's too much. That may be the case with pizza, but with all other dishes I don't think it has been accepted without a word. All in all, unfortunately, I would definitely not come back and would also advise against visiting this location.

We had reserved a table for two people for my wife's birthday on Saturday. I've known L'Osteria for a very long time, even from Pirckheimerstr, and I'm actually a regular, even if I only eat there twice a year. Well, arrived at 5:50 p.m. As always, you can get a parking space right in front of the door (always allow 10 minutes for this, as it is not always easy to find a parking space there). There was a queue of about 10 people outside. After a wait of almost 10 minutes, it's finally our turn. The nice lady asks us for a reservation. I thought until 7:30 p.m. was enough time, well I'll leave that in the room. We of course agreed. We were then escorted to our table. This time on the first floor :) Get the menu straight away. Then it took about 15-20 minutes until we could place the order. It was also announced in advance that it was my wife's birthday and they recorded it later. It was 6:40 p.m. and our table was still empty. Of course, the drinks came quickly. After another 10 minutes the pizza pane appetizer arrived, which couldn't be topped. After another 20 minutes the pizza arrived (half Gorgonzola/spinach and half Quattro Formaggi) and the Manzo salad. About the food: I've been to Italy a lot on business and have often eaten upscale meals. I really have to admit, you just can't beat L'Osteria. They simply make the best pizzas in the world. I can only give full points here. Then the birthday surprise: a quick consultation with the waiter, a tiramisu with a candle arrived and Happy Birthday played throughout the restaurant. We just thought it was great. Tiramisu out of this world! It just doesn't get any better. Ambience: Very nostalgic and Italian. I think it was originally a factory site. But it fits perfectly! Well, conclusion: You can't eat better anywhere when it comes to pizza. The wine tasted excellent. The service for the birthday was great. The prices are absolutely OK, €53 for two people. I actually would have deducted a star because of the staff. The owner should simply have one more waiter. They're just racing and are visibly stressed. No criticism of the waiters themselves, they served us well. The point deduction goes to the owner. But we criticize at a very high level :) And again: Thank you for the wonderful and delicious evening :)

We were really looking forward to our visit to the restaurant. We wanted to make a reservation by phone in advance, but the gentleman on the phone told us that this was not possible and not necessary because there was enough space. However, we may have to wait a few minutes later before we can get to our table. We agreed to that. When we finally arrived at the restaurant, we found out that all tables were already occupied and we would have to wait at least fifteen minutes. This quarter of an hour ultimately turned into 45 minutes until we were finally assigned an improvised place. We were a group of five adults and one toddler. When the waiter came to us, we of course wanted to place our order immediately because the child was already very hungry. When we asked how long the meal would take, the waiter explained that we would have to expect a wait of about an hour for a pizza. So we had already waited 45 minutes, and now we had to wait another hour for the pizza, which was totally disproportionate. This was unacceptable to us and we left the restaurant upset. It is extremely unprofessional not to inform families with young children that they will not only have to wait for a table, but also a significant wait for their food. I really hope the team learns from this evening when they seemed to be completely overwhelmed.

We're here at 5:36 p.m. and have to leave the table at 7:15 p.m. We've been sitting here for an hour and just had the starter and ordered it an hour ago. It takes way too long, I won't do it again!!!!!!! And very loud!!!!!

I just want to rate the food today: I had a salad (pollo). I am extremely disappointed that the salad costs €14.50. I only had lettuce leaves, which were very bitter. Cherry tomatoes were 3 in number when it comes up. Hard cheese when it comes up 10 grams, if at all. The chicken consisted of 40-50 grams of meat if any and was hard and way too crispy. Yes, it’s “just” a salad. But for the price I expect a little more ingredients, instead of lettuce leaves which are bitter and mask any other taste.

Ein Stück Italien in der Stadt! Dieses Restaurant hat mich wirklich begeistert. Die Pizza ist einfach himmlisch – der Boden schön dünn und knusprig, der Belag reichhaltig und voller Geschmack. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit frischen und hochwertigen Zutaten gearbeitet wird. Besonders die Pizza Caprese war ein Traum! Der Service war super freundlich und hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Auch das Ambiente ist toll – modern und trotzdem gemütlich. Für mich eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die richtig gute Pizza genießen möchten!

Ein echter Genuss! Ich war begeistert von meinem Besuch in diesem Restaurant! Die Pizza war einfach unglaublich – perfekt dünner, knuspriger Boden, frischeste Zutaten und so herrlich aromatisch, dass ich mich direkt wie in Italien gefühlt habe. Besonders die Margherita war ein Highlight, klassisch und voller Geschmack. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell, was den Abend zusätzlich perfekt gemacht hat. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und einladend, ideal für einen entspannten Abend mit Familie oder Freunden. Ich komme definitiv wieder – absolut empfehlenswert!

The L’Osteria in Tullnaupark impresses across the board! The pizzas are huge and taste great - perfect for anyone who loves thin, crispy dough. The pasta dishes are also fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, ideal for a relaxed evening with friends or family. The staff is friendly, attentive and always professional despite being busy. Waiting times are reasonable, even at peak times. Particularly positive: the spacious outdoor area, ideal for sunny days. The only small criticism: It can sometimes get a bit noisy when the restaurant is full. Still absolutely recommended for all pizza and pasta fans!

I find the service here to be extremely attentive and friendly. The food is very good and the prices are still okay. The location itself is impressive. The Italian pop covers that play in the background all the time are definitely a matter of taste, I find them funny. All in all, definitely a recommendation.

Unfortunately there is a big difference compared to L'Osteria at Hans-Sachs-Platz. The music is very loud and the food is not very well prepared. The eggplants on the pizza were not sufficiently pre-fried and were too raw. Unfortunately the carbonara pasta wasn't enough either. The service was matter-of-fact, but unfortunately due to the loud music you could only draw attention to yourself by speaking directly (by having to get up and go over).

You only have 1.5 hours to eat. We arrived on time, but still had to wait 15 minutes for the table. Great location, cozy light and beautiful furnishings. The pizzas are huge and you can have different toppings on the two halves. All pizzas can also be ordered with vegan pizza melt and there are several vegan pasta dishes and salads. The service is professional, very friendly and personable. In summer there is a wonderful outdoor area. I highly recommend a visit to L'Osteria at Tullnaupark. It's best to reserve in advance.

The location is reminiscent of an old factory, where old and new meet harmoniously without losing its special charm. The food was excellent and the service left nothing to be desired. Particularly noteworthy is the extremely friendly staff. Absolute recommendation!
