L'Osteria Metzingen in Metzingen

As always, the food and service were perfect! Our waitress, Mounir, was quick, friendly, and efficient despite the full garden and the beautiful weather, and the food arrived in record time. Two vegetarian pizzas and two appetizers were freshly prepared and beautifully presented in the usual way. It's always a pleasure to enjoy our lunch break here!

Hi, we're Mali. Today we ate the pizza here in Metzingen and were very happy with it 😊 It tasted delicious, but unfortunately it wasn't quite as hot. The service was perfect and the terrace is beautiful. I highly recommend the espresso, too. Come here and see for yourself 😊 your restaurant pigs!

I ate asparagus ravioli and I liked it very much, but since the other people at the table ordered pizza, I tried those as well and the pizzas were very disappointing in terms of taste.

The waitress was very rude. Kids were hungry and they wanted to share a pizza. The waitress just insulted us saying ‘All 4 of you are going to have a pizza’. She brought a service for all. If you like to be insulted nice place to eat. On the other hand the rating was given for the taste. Worst 4 cheese ever.

A reservation is a must...otherwise, you'll have to wait. The visit was absolutely worth it. Very tasty pizza...great selection, and the pizza itself is amazing. XXL pizza...way beyond the ordinary. I also think it's great that you can order a pizza together. You can even order it half/half (two different ones). The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Basically, it was absolutely fine. We were there on a Sunday lunchtime. It wasn't exactly crowded, so the friendly waiter and the rest of the staff had enough time to do a thorough cleaning of the kitchen. That should definitely be done outside of opening hours. The food was okay, but not amazing. However, the size of the pizza is almost unbeatable, measuring 43 cm.

We as a family of 5 enjoyed our dinner there after a tiring day of shopping. The food arrived within minutes and our waiter Mounir was extremely attentive and friendly. Our manager Mustafa sweetened our evening. We've been to a few lottery stores, but this is by far the best service we've ever received. We'll be happy to come back next time we're shopping!

PIZZA 🍕 IS O.K Tall and very thin, then rather something smaller and thicker! You can't even hold it. Well for the prices it must seem big..... I prefer quality at a fair price. You can eat pasta, but it's not a burner either. Mass instead of class... It's just a franchise chain

Very loud, but we managed to get a table at short notice. Food was absolutely fine and the prices were reasonable. Paying took forever and we forgot the starter salad. But it was perfectly fine because we were all full after the big pizza. Next time we are in Metzingen we would go there again. The terrace also looked inviting.

This restaurant of all the ones I have visited from the same chain has been the best in terms of the taste of the food and the service, the person who served us was very pleasant and helpful, the prices vary according to the type of place, only that being a very busy restaurant you almost always have to wait for a table to be assigned to you.

Large and tasty portions. Music a bit too loud. It was pretty warm inside. The ice cream as a dessert was a bit disappointing: in a paper cup to go for almost €4.

We were guests in Metzingen on April 27th, 2025. The food was, as always, very good. It wasn't very full, unfortunately the service didn't work... probably due to a staff shortage there was only one service inside. We had to wait a long time, couldn't order any more drinks, the service wasn't very friendly, etc. We can understand that it's not always easy with staff, but a short note ('we're short on staff today, ... unfortunately it's taking a little longer today' or something similar) or some other type of communication would have been helpful and explanatory...

Our visit is part of the past, but unfortunately we cannot forget what we experienced; 4.1.25; Even at the reception in the restaurant, the waiters seemed unfriendly and stressed. We arrived at 9 p.m. (the restaurant was open until 12 p.m. and the kitchen until around 10 p.m.) and we were rudely told that there were only pizzas and that the kitchen closed at 10 p.m. We decided to give it a chance anyway because it was my birthday and we couldn't find anything else in the area that appealed to us. Unfortunately we were served unfriendly. The pizza was ok, I ordered a special pizza with bufala and salsiccia; But it was only after a few minutes that I was informed that there was no more Bufala. I decided on a different variant, which I found extremely spicy, but it was my own fault :) I would have liked to have been more excited about my tastes, but I was happy to accommodate. But please treat the guests better! Especially the guests who treat you with respect and kindness and understand and respect your hard work. But the guests don't deserve to be treated so unkindly. Hope for improvements in the future :)

Reception staff unfriendly and sometimes rude!! Pizza was delicious.

Food as expected was good but the initial waiter who got us to our seats seemed off, I would say almost racist. He kept ignoring us and attending to other guests around us who came in later. Then the new waiter came was kind and nice.

actually one of the best restaurants I have been to in Germany, but service is not good.. first guy who served was terrible, then they switched and one polite guy started to serve us, but due to so many people service was so so low! but food is amazing! you could get different 2 pizzas together, and I think it is really good idea! also wc was really clean and nice! really recommend to visit if you are in Metzingen.

Considering the size of the huge outlet, it is a very atmospheric Italian pizzeria with a good menu and service. The prices are above average, but the food is delicious.

The food was good, as you'd expect from a chain. The service was a joke. The waiter who served us was just typing on his phone, and when I asked if they'd pack up my leftovers, he replied, "But only if they really take them away!" Good value for money: €20 pizza with a drink

Very good food. Unfortunately, the music was almost as loud as in my regular club. So, the entertainment wasn't working. Please definitely change that :)

Unfortunately, it was very busy and we had to wait a bit to get in, but that was okay. The pasta was all a bit too hard, and since it was for a child, we asked for more, which wasn't a problem. However, the plate was simply shoved into the microwave. The pasta was still hard, but the plate was far too hot to touch. The pizza was delicious, and the service did everything they could—a bit chaotic, but as I said, it was very busy.

The carbonara pasta is tremendous. Good portions, excellent quality/price performance. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and the service was fast and pleasant. An ideal place to eat after an afternoon of shopping. The panna cotta is great. Without a doubt, an excellent option if you are passing through Metzingen.

Great pizzeria chain, nice staff who are on their toes, we went out to eat at 3 p.m. in the afternoon, took a short break while shopping, we ordered and less than 15 minutes later our pizzas were at the table. There were only about 20 people in the restaurant at that time, so it wasn't busy, but it was still cozy and pleasant. We'd be happy to go again. L'osteria is simply one of the best pizza chains in the world. We paid 49.80 for the two pizzas, a side salad and two passion fruit juice spritzers. That's fine in this day and age.

We were satisfied, we got a table quickly and the food was fresh and quickly at the table. Salad could have been more in quantity for the price. But if we're honest, we expected prices like that in the middle of Metzingen. We ate a salad with chicken and a ham and mushroom pizza. We'll definitely be back. The employees were probably a bit bored and kept looking at us. But everything is ok.

My girlfriend and I were browsing in the outlet and were extremely hungry. Since we were in the mood for a pizza, the decision to go to L'Osteria wasn't difficult. The service, as well as the ambience and the food, were, as you can see from the review, extremely convincing.

Very nice shop. There were four of us here. The pizzas here are all very large, which I personally like very much. The spaghetti carbonara was super tasty, I would take it again next time. Otherwise the atmosphere is very calm and serene here. Would come again 🥰

Can definitely recommend L'Osteria in Metzingen. It was the first time I had seen such a big pizza in my life. I didn't measure it, but it was probably about 35-40cm in diameter. Both dishes tasted very good. We ordered panna cotta for dessert and were also very surprised. So definitely a must in Metzingen. I reserved a table in advance because I noticed that it was usually overcrowded

The spaghetti was lukewarm. With the lasagne you had to look twice to see if anything else was being delivered (very small). Someone at the table (8 people) ordered a non-alcoholic wheat beer and I automatically got a non-alcoholic wheat beer with a “Hellen Hefe” (2x) - but I survived it. The food was passed across the table by all 3 waiters, even though the table was accessible from everywhere. The waiter already asked for coffee, while some people were still eating the main course. The core competency probably lies in the pizza - it has always been very good (pick up)!

Tables were quickly pushed together for our group of 8. Special requests when ordering pizza were taken into account and the pizza was huge and very tasty. My lasagne was just the right size and tasted very good. Service was quick, attentive and very friendly with a touch of humor! We'd love to come back! :)

Very pleasant restaurant and very nice staff.

We had lunch today with 7 people. For our youngest we ordered gnocchi with tomato sauce, but he got macaroni. We said nothing and tried to make it palatable to him. Then the pizza with salsiccia fresca was brought to my son-in-law. He ate a few bites of it, but it was way too spicy for him! When I took a closer look at the pizza, it was clear that it wasn't salsiccia, but spicy salami. When I complained about this to the waiter, he just said that it was salsiccia and not salsiccia fresca. Since we also had paccheri with salsiccia at the table, I showed him the difference and that there is no way to mix it up. He then took the pizza back without a word of apology and said he would have a new one made. He didn't react at all when we were told that macaroni was served instead of gnocchi. When we ordered the dessert, he wrote down the crema di fragola for me. When my daughter ordered the snack and also chose a small crema di fragola, he said that unfortunately it was all. I wonder what he would have brought me since he didn't mention anything about it when I ordered. This time we were very disappointed with the service, especially since the friendliness left a lot to be desired.

We ordered 3 pizzas, one of which was right and the other 2 pizzas were wrong or completely forgotten and only came to the table later.

The pizza was very tasty and big. It may be a little difficult for one person to finish it easily :) The service was fast, our order came immediately, but the empty items on the table were never cleared again. We ordered our dessert, but it did not arrive, we learned that it was forgotten. We couldn't try it because I had to get up. The venue design was enjoyable. Cleanliness control of toilets should be increased more frequently. It is useful to make a reservation.

Mixed experience – Great concept but disappointing service The first impression of L'Osteria Metzingen was promising: a modern ambience that exudes typical Italian flair. The oversized pizza, which protrudes over the edge of the plate, definitely looks good and is impressive at first glance. The taste was okay – solid, but not outstanding. Unfortunately the visit was greatly marred by the service. We were hardly noticed, had to wait a long time before anyone even took our order, and even after that the staff seemed to have little interest in the guests. Kindness or attention? None. Even for simple things like drinks or a bill we had to make ourselves known several times. Overall the experience was okay, but nothing more. Unfortunately, the large pizza alone is not enough to ignore the poor service. It's a shame, because the concept actually had a lot of potential. I would like to see more emphasis placed on hospitality here - because good food alone does not make a successful restaurant visit.

Don't get too excited and order a pizza for one person😂 It's delicious, but the guys pack and give away what they can't finish to everyone, without spoiling their smiling faces. It's a shame🥰

I had a live caterpillar in my salad that was still wriggling in the dressing. When I asked the waiter about it, he responded with an oops and asked me if I wanted a new salad or if he should take it off the bill. I then decided on the latter and let the salad go back. The waiter (a different one) who brought the bill asked if everything was OK. When asked about the caterpillar, he simply replied that he had heard about it. I never received an apology. Apparently I have to be glad that the salad really wasn't on the bill. I can't recommend the store.

The food is okay, but it is very loud and the service is sometimes very slow.

Pizzas taste okay. The taste is simply lacking. And cheap salami is used. Very loud and resembles a Menza canteen. Music was also too loud. If you want a cozy dinner, you've come to the wrong place here. And if you bake such huge pizzas, then you actually have the right plate to go with them. And not half of it is on the table because the plates are too small. We're not coming anymore.

The pizzas are highly recommended, we found them better than the pasta. The staff are super friendly and will give you very good advice if you can't decide. Everything was great from us, 5 stars

A really cool location with the biggest pizza I've ever eaten. There is a very good selection of vegetarian menus and the portions are large and tasty. You should make a reservation because the store is always very busy. I really enjoyed the stay!

Katastrophe- nach dem Salat tagelang nur noch gespuckt. Waren wohl E. Coli-Bakterien. Toiletten oftmals nicht sehr sauber, obwohl mittags nicht sooo viele Gäste da waren. Auf Sauberkeit scheint dort wohl grundsätzlich keiner zu achten.
