L'Osteria Metzingen in Metzingen

If you don’t speak German dont come here. The waiter was very rude when he stated that he only speaks deutsh (although later he spoke in English). He brought the wrong food even when I asked him straight pointing from the menu, never looked to the table in sign of assistance and only could ask for the check when I was putting my coat because it was pretty obvious already that we were leaving. Extremely poor service and mediocre pizza. Good place and environment

The service is super friendly, very attentive and accommodating. The food could have used a little salt, but it was still delicious and arrived very quickly. The waitress Dounja was a super, super nice lady! Rarely have we experienced such great service

We had dinner at L'Osteria on a Friday evening. We got a table even without a reservation. We ordered the side salad, bruschetta, lasagne and pasta with pesto. Everything was very tasty. The portion of pasta with pesto was good. However, the lasagna was a bit small. Unfortunately it was very loud in the large room. Unfortunately there was no toilet paper in the women's toilet and one cubicle was broken. When we're back there, we'd love to come back.

We were there for the first and unfortunately also for the last time. After ordering, we waited 30 minutes for our starter. This was carelessly placed on the plate. The waitress apologized and drinks were on the house. Pizza arrived after another 20 minutes of waiting on a plate that was far too small. Price performance not understandable! In addition, the music was so loud that evening that you could hardly hold a conversation. Cruel! An atmosphere like at a motorway service station. We were happy when we could leave. NEVER AGAIN!

You wait at the reception and are ignored. When you ask you are only asked whether you have reserved. No information as to whether you should continue to wait or make a reservation first. Very poorly organized. Lack of communication. The organization of the allocation of places urgently needs to be improved. The losterias in Karlsruhe and Pforzheim should be role models. Metzingen still has a lot to learn. Sebr disappointed!!!

Great food and drink. Be sure to reserve at least 1 day in advance! (They don't do it on the same day!) Due to the "factory hall atmosphere" it is rather loud, with more than 4 people at the table you have to be able to listen well and of course talk loudly. Pizza was huge but awesome. Spaghetti Carbonara was also almost exactly like original Italy. Carpaccio and Vitello are also great, I haven't been able to try anything else yet...

Super delicious food. Be sure to reserve a day earlier, as it is no longer permitted on the same day. (If you're lucky or can wait, you're sure to find a place - the kitchen is open until around 9 p.m., and pizza even until around 9:30 p.m.). Very loud atmosphere, but bearable.

We ate there on Saturday evening. It was okay, the usual, good Losteria standard. The service was very friendly and quick. The toilets were very dirty and unhygienic.

The pizzas correspond to expectations in this price segment. They are oversized, but very thin. A very interesting concept! We were less pleased with the service. The shop was half empty and yet you waited almost 25 minutes until you were shown to a table. There were almost 10 people in line... The person in charge of reservations and reception didn't seem too happy about her job. During the long wait, you could watch as she set the tables at a snail's pace and walked past you without greeting the new guests or briefly saying that she would be with them shortly. You weren't even looked at! For me, such an attitude/personality has no place in the catering sector and should look for a job where she works in the background without customer contact. This is detrimental to what is actually a great restaurant.

Good pizzas, the crust was very dry. We ordered two different halves, one with mozzarella and the other with cheese. Everything just tasted like cheese.

We were very positively surprised. The pizza was amazing and so was this eggplant pasta, everything freshly prepared and simply excellent. The waiter was also very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was great. The tables are not too close together so there is plenty of space between them, which we really appreciated. When making the reservation you can even specify your different needs (wheelchair, stroller, dog, etc.). 1a, we would love to come back. Thank you very much for the great experience!

It took a while to get a table, but the food was worth it! The pizzas are so huge that you can easily eat them twice, so the price is reasonable too. What is particularly noteworthy is that, in addition to beer, water and cola, there is also iced tea as a sugar-free drink, which is very rare.

On September 20th At 8:45 p.m. we entered this restaurant, attracted by the excellent internet presentation recommended to us by the staff of the Moxy Hotel Metzingen where we were staying. To make a long story short, we can't even call the experience bad because we didn't have one. When we entered the restaurant was half full, it was a Friday evening, and there were four servers standing behind the bar who seemed more concerned with chatting than serving. We asked the first member of staff if we could be seated but were simply referred to someone else. After a two minute long "consultation" among the various staff members in front of us, who clearly had no clear communication, we were finally told that the kitchen was already closed and everyone had already left. We were told there was no point in taking a seat. We had all good intentions to sit down and enjoy their delicacies, but unfortunately we felt that there was no one in service who was responsible or helpful. Google and the official website say closing time is 11pm and we were hoping this would be respected. We ended up going somewhere else. I hope my negative experience helps future guests avoid missing dinner and therefore fasting.

Am 20.09. um 20:45 Uhr betraten wir dieses Restaurant, angezogen von der hervorragenden Internetpräsentation, die uns von den Mitarbeitern des Moxy Hotels Metzingen empfohlen wurde, in dem wir wohnten. Um es kurz zu machen: Wir können das Erlebnis nicht einmal als schlecht bezeichnen, da wir keines hatten. Beim Betreten war das Restaurant halb voll, es war Freitagabend, und vier Servicekräfte standen hinter der Bar und schienen mehr mit dem Plaudern beschäftigt zu sein als mit dem Service. Wir fragten den ersten Mitarbeiter, ob wir Platz nehmen könnten, wurden jedoch einfach an eine andere Person verwiesen. Nach einer zwei Minuten langen „Beratung“ unter den verschiedenen Mitarbeitern vor uns, die offensichtlich keine klare Kommunikation hatten, wurde uns schließlich mitgeteilt, dass die Küche bereits geschlossen sei und alle bereits gegangen seien. Uns wurde gesagt, dass es keinen Sinn machte, Platz zu nehmen. Wir hatten alle guten Absichten, uns zu setzen und ihre Köstlichkeiten zu genießen, doch leider hatten wir den Eindruck, dass es niemanden im Service gab, der verantwortlich oder hilfsbereit war. Auf Google und der offiziellen Webseite steht als Schließzeit 23:00 Uhr, und wir hatten gehofft, dass dies respektiert würde. Letztendlich sind wir woanders hingegangen. Ich hoffe, dass meine negative Erfahrung zukünftigen Gästen hilft, ein verpasstes Abendessen und somit das Fasten zu vermeiden.

I have been a regular at this restaurant chain for many years and have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, I had an extremely disappointing experience on my last visit, which prompted me to write this review. As soon as we entered the restaurant we felt unwelcome. The waiter who served us showed disrespectful behavior that we would never have expected in such a prestigious restaurant. Instead of greeting us in a friendly manner and helping us choose our food, his manner was rude and dismissive. This made us feel uncomfortable and ultimately decided to cancel our meal and leave the restaurant. We were shocked at the way we were treated and as regulars we are disappointed that a restaurant we have been loyal to for so long treated us like this. It is unfortunate that a negative incident such as this has so badly affected our impression of an otherwise treasured place. We will be making another complaint to management to resolve this incident in the hope that such disrespectful behavior will be avoided in the future. In summary, I am very disappointed with our last visit and hope the restaurant learns from this experience to provide a more pleasant experience for future guests.

Have eaten there twice so far. Service super fast and very friendly. The food is very tasty and more authentic than some "Italians". Gladly again at any time.

The taste of the food was very good, 4 pizzas and once pasta and a small salad, then 3 espressos. In my opinion, the pizza base was a bit too thick and the pizza itself was a bit too generously topped. Everything was freshly prepared. The waitresses were extremely nice, polite and accommodating. In total we paid €100 for it.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a large pizza at this restaurant and it was simply outstanding - perfectly baked and incredibly tasty! However, we were particularly impressed by the first-class service: the staff was friendly, attentive and made us feel completely at home. We'll definitely be back! Absolutely recommended!

We've been there twice now and the number will probably stay that way. First of all, as in every Losteria, the food is excellent. Unfortunately, the service in Metzingen leaves a lot to be desired. We were there twice during the week and there was never a huge rush. Nevertheless, it is almost torture to get a waitress to come to your table. Despite waving or speaking to someone, you are constantly ignored. In my opinion, courteous service looks different. We also didn't sit in the back corner but in the middle of the restaurant.

Для меня, для третьего гостя принесли спагетти карбонару через 20 минут после пиццы! Все что мог сказать официант- Sorry… и вот тут полное разочарование. Вместо заявленной карбонары мне принесли спагетти (далеко от Аль Денте) политые небольшим количеством сливок и с небольшим количество бекона. Сыра нет. Попросить официанта принести - нельзя (Не видно официанта). Я лично готовлю лучше, хоть и не повар, и да, моя карбонара - шедевр по сравнению с тем что предлагают в этом заведении. Хуже всего то, что мы рассматривали это заведение, как место для проведения семейного вечера для гостей примерно в 22 человека из-за локации и интерьера. Но, однозначно сюда больше ни ногой. После «прекрасного ужина» на десерт получили игнорирования от официанта. Молодой человек видел нашу поднятую руку, но подошел на пятый или шестой раз. Настоящего десерта мы уже не захотели и попросили счет с желанием покинуть это заведение. Официант P.S обслуживал еще и другие столы, которые приходили позже, но обслуживались быстрее.

Had our summer party from work there. I have to say it was really tasty there

If you want to spoil your evening, just come here in the hope of having a good meal. After looking at the menu, we sat for about 20 minutes waiting for the waiter. The appetizers and drinks arrived quickly because the waiter did her job well. Pizza for two of the three guests was brought 30 minutes after the appetizers had been eaten. The pizza is mediocre, there is no wow effect and no pleasure in general. For me, for the third guest, they brought spaghetti carbonara 20 minutes after the pizza! All the waiter could say was Sorry... and here we are completely disappointed. Instead of the ordered carbonara, they brought me spaghetti (far from Al Dente) topped with a little cream and a little bacon. There is no cheese. You cannot ask the waiter to bring it (The waiter is not visible). I personally cook better, although I am not a chef, and yes, my carbonara is a masterpiece compared to what is offered in this establishment. The worst part is that we considered this place as a place for a family evening for about 22 guests due to the location and interior. But definitely don’t set foot here again. After a “wonderful dinner” for dessert, we were ignored by the waiter. The young man saw our raised hand, but came up for the fifth or sixth time. We no longer wanted real dessert and asked for the bill with the desire to leave this establishment. Waiter P.S also served other tables that arrived later, but were served faster.

This was the case today in Metzingen (I have been a guest here several times over the past two years). However, my visit today was frustrating and disastrous. After 20 minutes of waiting (even though there was very little going on), no service came. Although I saw at least four (3 men and one woman). These were more occupied with themselves and joking. When I got up and left the restaurant, I spoke to the young lady and asked “if you don’t actually get served here”. Instead of apologizing or asking what I would like to order, all I got was a cheeky grin. I then ate somewhere else. My table neighbors felt the same way. Sorry L'Osteria Metzingen, I won't be back. Lack of staff here or there...the lady (with the two pigtails up) is a no go.

Spaghetti Carbonara and Gnocci with Gorgonzola were delicious. According to our taste, both dishes could have been a little more seasoned and a little warmer. But we were still very satisfied, especially with the good service.
