L'Osteria in Metzingen is my local favorite 😋 The staff is great, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Right: Of course, like in many restaurants, it depends on the time of day, the number of guests, and other factors. You also get loyalty points with every bill via the app, as well as discounts for ADAC members or with the Outletcity Card. Important: Is there no table and a long wait? Then try one of the other options nearby. Are you not being served? Peerily get their attention. Is your pizza burnt? Ask for a new one. Want motivated service? Leave a good tip and treat the staff and the restaurant with respect. And if things go wrong, remember that people work here, thankfully not machines 😉

The location is really lovely, the atmosphere is typically a bit loud but super pleasant. We had delicious pizza and excellent service from Maxima! There should be more Maximas, she does a wonderful job! ❤️ Mostafa is also doing a good job, but he could still learn a lot from Maxima! ☺️ We'll definitely be back!

I visited L’Osteria Metzingen today and was absolutely delighted. The food was delicious, the pizza was, as always, huge and perfectly baked, and the pasta was fresh and well-seasoned. I was particularly impressed by the very friendly and attentive service from both our server Maxima and her manager Mostafa. Despite the restaurant being full, all the staff were cheerful, efficient, and helpful.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a truly lovely evening. Our waitress, Maxima, was incredibly warm, attentive, and always had a smile on her face. It was clear she enjoyed her job. Her manager, Mostafa, was also very friendly and accommodating, which made me feel very welcome as a guest. The restaurant is spacious, the ambiance is pleasant and beautifully decorated; you immediately feel at ease. I had the gnocchi – they were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the portion size was just right! I would definitely come back.

My experience was positive! The food was delicious. Although the risotto wasn't quite the right consistency at first, the whole team worked hard to make it perfect so we could enjoy it. I was there with a two-year-old child and we were treated very well.

We had lunch there during our shopping trip. The service wasn't particularly good. They wanted to seat three of us at a tiny, round table, which would have been difficult for two people to eat a pizza at. My husband chose a pizza and requested a little cheese on his order, as he doesn't like cheese on his pizza, or rather, prefers no cheese at all. The waitress told us there was no cheese on this pizza at all. The pizza was then brought to the table, and what was on it were huge blobs of mozzarella. My husband tried to simply scrape it off, which destroyed a lot of the pizza topping. Unfortunately, the man who served us didn't come back to our table, and we didn't feel like ordering another pizza and waiting another 20 minutes for it. When we paid, my husband spoke to him, and all he said was, there wasn't much cheese on it. When my husband explained to him that he had told us there was no cheese, he was lost. There was no apology or "I'm sorry." We're used to a completely different level of service at L'Osterias in other cities. The other two pizzas we had were okay, but also burnt on the bottom in places.

It's a place where you can buy chocolate at much more affordable prices than supermarkets. Expiration dates are a bit close, but they're not just a week, but 3-5 months. This doesn't apply to every product, but to some.

Great. This time I had the monthly special, minestrone. Super fresh and delicious. I've often made minestrone myself, and it tastes just as good, so I highly recommend it. A second portion of Pizza Fungi and then dessert, Muse Chocolate with Amarena Espresso. Always worth a treat. The staff was great as always, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I'll be back. The food was delicious. You can have different toppings on the pizza and have the halves placed on two plates. The restaurant was busy, and we sat on the terrace. It was quite cold, but they provided blankets. The service was friendly and quick.

Unfortunately, I can't understand the positive reviews regarding the food. We were at L'Osteria today and were really disappointed with the food. We had a pizza and spaghetti pomodoro. While the pizzas are huge and hang over the edge of the plate, we found this rather unsightly and saw at numerous tables that guests couldn't finish the pizzas and didn't have them wrapped. So, unfortunately, a lot of food ends up in the trash unnecessarily – a no-go. Because the pizzas are so large, a paper placemat is placed on each guest's table – pure waste, as it's a disposable product. Sustainability doesn't seem to play a role here… We would have preferred a more compact pizza with a thicker crust, rather than one that "hangs on the table." We also found the way the guests "devoured" the pizzas rather unsightly. Due to the enormous diameter, the pizza, of course, was ice cold after just a few minutes. The spaghetti was okay, but nothing special. Generally, the large number of guests creates a real cafeteria feel, which I didn't like at all. It was also quite chilly in the pizzeria, so I had to put on my jacket. The service was friendly and attentive! Too bad, we won't be coming again.

This is by far the best L'Osteria I've ever been to. Whether pizza or pasta, the dishes are truly excellent and incredibly delicious. The ambiance, styled like an old factory hall, is uniquely beautiful. Even in summer, you can relax on the modern terrace. I particularly appreciate how professionally and efficiently the staff handles large crowds during peak hours. A visit to L'Osteria can easily be combined with a trip to Outletcity Metzingen. I feel very comfortable here, and the food is always delicious!

Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't that good; it was borderline light; it could have used another 1-2 minutes in the oven. The crust still tasted doughy, though. The pizza at the neighboring tables certainly looked better. What's outrageous, though, are the prices for a beer. They're now charging €5.75 (I paid €3.90 at the last pizzeria), which is a 50% surcharge, and then they pour it into a warm glass straight from the dishwasher. That shouldn't be allowed given the high prices. I don't know if I'd want to order anything else here.

Never again – that was truly the absolute lowest point! Today, October 10, 2025, we ate there from approximately 4:50 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – and that was definitely the very last time! Even upon entering, we had to wait until anyone even attended to us. An employee simply said his colleague would be there shortly and seat us – so we just stood there and waited. Finally, we were seated right by the entrance, by the window (on the wall with the windows). Our waiter (brown hair, brown eyes, beard, estimated to be between 30 and 50 years old) was cold, unfriendly, and disrespectful from the start. No smile, no eye contact, not a single kind word. When ordering, I asked if they had linguine instead of spaghetti. His reply was, "No, only whole-wheat linguine." When I then asked if there was anything similar to thick spaghetti, he replied ironically and disparagingly: "Yeah, just spaghetti." – That was just plain cheeky; he didn't mean it as a joke, because his look was simply annoyed. Before the meal, he laid out cutlery, salt, and pepper – not a word, not a look. He didn't respond at all to my request for chili oil and Parmesan cheese, not a "yes" or "coming right away." Just a brief nod. Then he brought it, but again without a single word. The food came quickly, but it was really bad: • The pizza had almost no sauce, just dough with toppings. • My pasta with shrimp in a tomato and cream sauce was watery; the sauce didn't stick to it at all. The waiter didn't come once to ask if everything was okay. Our one Coke remained almost full because we simply didn't want any more after that treatment. When paying, we still tipped – out of habit – even though it was absolutely undeserved. Afterward, we wanted to take our food (half a pizza and over half the pasta). The waiter came with a single empty box, placed it on the table without a word, and simply left. There was no packaging for the pasta at all. We were really, really angry. We then hastily wrapped the pizza, but the whole thing was so disrespectful that we simply didn't feel like sitting there any longer. We threw the pizza box on the table, left everything as it was, and left. When we paid earlier, there was no reaction, no "thank you," no "have a nice evening," not even a request for a receipt – just pure indifference. Such behavior is simply beneath contempt. That waiter should definitely not work there anymore; someone like that has no place in the service industry. 👉 Conclusion: Bad food, disrespectful waiter, zero friendliness – simply disappointing. We'll never go to L'Osteria again, and certainly not there!

A campsite that goes above and beyond the usual amenities of a campsite. Following the principle of "small but perfectly formed," you immediately feel at home upon arrival, thanks to the friendly welcome from the owners. Everything you need is there, without any hassle, and there's also a nice camping pub and beer garden with delicious food—especially pizza—what more could you want besides good regional beer? We'd love to come back when we head south ;-)
