L'Angolo in Metzingen

Stay away from the "beef fillet." It was sinewy, fatty, and practically raw, and when we sent it back and asked for it to be cooked more thoroughly, it came back raw and sinewy. They charged over €40 for this dish alone. After sending it back a second time, they only deducted €10, even though the dish was practically inedible. The waiters showed little understanding. In total, we waited an hour for our food.

Sprite didn't taste like Sprite. Waited 40 minutes for a pizza. The server was unfriendly. The pizza was soggy and just didn't taste good at all. 👎👎

Even though it was half an hour before closing time, we were warmly welcomed. Our needs were listened to and taken seriously. The service was friendly and punctual. The three starters we ordered were tasty and reflected culinary traditions. The bruschetta was good but not exceptional, nor was the scaloppine. Overall, I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant, especially because their desire to do things well and to accommodate their customers is evident.

A very classy place, in the middle of Metzingen Outlet City, lots of old movie posters on the wall, give you the retro feeling. Ordered their house tuna salad, Spaghetti aglio e olio, and ramp 🥩 steak. Let's start from their Spaghetti aglio e olio, so garlicy and chiliy, but the good balance will let you keep having it spoon by spoon 🥄. The best part of dinner, is the ramp steak, so tender and juicy, and perfectly seasoning, at the beginning I was trying to figure out what's the sweet taste in the beef, turned out it was the 🫐 berry sauce gently seasoned, what a nice and delicious way to cook the steak.

The food was fresh, delicious, and arrived quickly. The prices were fair, and the restaurant was clean and tidy. The staff was super friendly and attentive. A truly great place!

In brief, our experience: Raw shrimp, incorrect orders delivered, poorly prepared, long wait times, very hot in the summer, nonexistent service, unfriendly staff. Unfortunately, they weren't open to feedback either...

Ordered three pizzas to go over the phone. 2 tonno, 1 spinacchi. Instead of spinach, I got expensive, overly salty salami. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home. The bill was €17.50 for Calabrese! I received the wrong pizza; I wanted a vegetarian pizza at an extremely high price. Calling and driving back would not have been economical. I was very disappointed. Yes, I should have checked on site, but I trusted that everything would be OK. The fault was yours; now you can feel free to threaten me with a lawyer again for a bad review, as you have done before.

Very good restaurant I was surprised by the delicious food and the excellent service from the staff. No long wait times. I can only recommend it to everyone!

Antrikot was fresh but too much nerves in it. Long chew. Kalb with white wine souce was small portion and not tasty. It is my 3rd time and not happy this time. We told this to waitress and gave 6%tip, still even not thanks or no gesture. Probably it will be my last visit.

The pizza was tasty but not great. What was good was that we were able to pre-order by phone since we didn't make it until 9 p.m. when the kitchen closed.

An all around wonderful experience! The food not only tasted excellent, but was also beautifully prepared – a real treat for all the senses. The service was perfect: friendly, attentive and very competent. You just feel completely comfortable here. A restaurant that you'll want to return to again and again. Absolute recommendation!

I ordered a margherita and pasta arrabbiata The pizza is delicious, the pasta is sweet, but it had a different taste than usual.

We dined at an Italian restaurant Langolo and ordered risotto. Unfortunately, the dish was more akin to Spanish paella, with a porridge-like texture. When asked, we explained it didn’t meet our expectations. The waiter understood and took the dish away, but we were still fully charged without any compensation. Therefore, we do not recommend this place for lovers of Italian cuisine.

Well - middle class but not good considering the prices

We always enjoyed eating there when visiting the outlet. The food was always really good. But now the total opposite. We had spaghetti with mussels and a forcaccia. The pasta was super aldente, the mussels could be searched for and the forcaccia was dusty. Even parmesan with spaghetti is no longer available. Maybe this will cost extra now. The portions have become smaller. The food wasn't enjoyable. Even the Aperol didn't taste as good as it did last year. Prices have risen enormously and quality has fallen. It's no longer worth a visit. Very unfortunate.

The lady from the service was very friendly, but my shrimp, which had a hefty price, were still raw. I let them go back and they came back just as chopped up (I had cut them). Popped it briefly in the oven, unfortunately still slightly raw. It can happen the first time, but then it has to be perfect. Unfortunately not recommended for me!

Ambiente gut, Bedienung freundlich, Essen: Pizza Tono gut und schmackhaft, Spagetti gut, aber Kinderportion für einen Erwachsenen, 2 x Lasagne mit Lachs oberflächig heiss, aberinnen kalt, mit dem Geschmack einer schlechten gekauften. Das gnaze war dazu noch total überteuert. 150€ dafür inkl. Getränke ist ja ne Ansage. Für uns für die Zukunft gestrichen.

While shopping at OUTLETCITY Metzingen, we were made aware of Ristorante L'Angolo - and that was an excellent recommendation! This charming family business impresses with a warm atmosphere and tasteful furnishings that exude real Italian flair. The food was a delight! The freshly made pasta and the crispy pizzas were simply outstanding. Every bite was an experience! The service was friendly and attentive, with a team passionate about ensuring guest satisfaction. Overall, our visit to Ristorante L'Angolo was a highlight of our day, and we highly recommend it. A piece of Italy in Metzingen – absolutely deserves 5 stars!

Abendessen. Ich esse regelmäßig an diese italienische Ecke(L’Angolo). Ich bin begeistert vom Essen und Service. Was ich sehr gerne esse ist Fisch, insbesondere Dorade gebraten in einem Aluminiumfolie. Sehr Lecker. Die Kellner sind alle sehr freundlich. Der Koch ist fantastisch. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass alles am gleichen Tag frisch eingekauft wird. Tutto belissimo,großartige gemütliche Atmosphäre. Sehr entspannend mit einem Glas vom roten Chianti.

Unfortunately I have to give a bad review. We had pasta and tortellini al forno. Portion: shabby small, even my wife, who usually leaves something left over, asked when we ran out where we could eat something else because we just weren't full. Price: outrageously high considering the portion Tortellini: bought tortellini cooked and gratinated with cheese for €16.50 is really expensive, especially because it could pass as a snack. Otherwise the service was very friendly and looked after us well. The atmosphere and location are good.

Lovely atmosphere and amazing food. The servers are very helpful with what to order and their large collection of wines. I would highly recommend this place and give their food a try. Easy parking right next to the establishment.

Meals are really delicious. There were many varieties of wine, and their flavors were excellent. Place is comfortable and workers are really friendly.

Service is very friendly. The price for the food that is offered is far too high. Sedani al Forno are a handful of rigatoni in a bowl with a dollop of tomato sauce, a thimble full of minced meat and then baked in the oven. The taste is quite neutral and not hot, but warm. Insalata Mista comes nicely prepared and fresh. But it's not turned on. The guest can empty the salt/pepper and vinegar/oil over it themselves. Sorry, but this won't be a good salad. If you order an affogato, your own creation made from tartufo, or something like that, and some espresso in a glass goblet will be served without any questions. Then costs 9.80 EUR.

Not recommended! Disastrous service! Overpriced food that doesn't match the quality and service. We waited almost 1.5 hours for our food and then the wrong one was delivered. The bill was also incorrect and much more was charged. There was also no apology and the waiter with the hat was very annoyed… Because of these points I cannot recommend this restaurant!

Unfortunately, I cannot confirm or understand the positive review on Google, which is why we chose this restaurant. We came to an empty restaurant. Here we received a totally listless and not particularly friendly welcome. The Aperol Spritz was brought quickly. Since we wanted to eat something light, we opted for the appetizer platter for two people. According to the service, EVERYTHING from the starter menu should be on it. We received a loveless plate for just under 30 euros with the following content: - 1 tasteless (cheapest vine tomato) tomato with 1/2 ball of mozzarella - a handful of dry rocket with a few splinters of Parmesan - two slices of Vitello Tonato - a scallop shell with octopus salad - two soggy mini bruscetta -a simple pizza bread (the menu said foccacia) When asked, they said carpaccio was not included. Considering the cost of goods, the taste and the quality of the starters, I find it really cheeky to charge 30 euros for a plate like this. The waiter asked if everything was good. We denied it. But he wasn't interested in that. I definitely wouldn't go here a second time.

Had dinner yesterday with my brother-in-law, sister and daughter. The service was very good. Despite the failure, the food was served quite quickly and was good and very tasty. When we ordered panna cotta and tiramisu for 4 people, 4 spoons also came. The toilet was very clean and what surprised me positively was that there were no paper towel dispensers but small towels. I'd love to come back

The quality and presentation of food is not good given the relatively high prices. The place looks authentic Italian but the plates are so basic. Also the service is very slow and not so welcoming. There are much better Italian restaurants in Metzingen.

The leisanie is good but the starter is too little, the service is polite but the prices are too extreme

Surprise - instead of the food we ordered, something else was brought out - well, that can happen, and instead of at least apologizing for it, people saw it as completely normal...and that too with two meals at our table. The ambience in the courtyard isn't that great either - there's a lot of traffic and restlessness. Food is okay, but what about the price?

Very friendly service, the quality of the food is very good and everything looks freshly prepared. However, the prices of the main courses shocked me a bit. I think 19 euros for a pizza with mushrooms, ham, peppers, etc. is just too much. Despite the good ingredients, the cost of goods was certainly under 5 euros and 19 euros is really sporty. The atmosphere is cozy, the terrace is sheltered so you can sit outside even in summer. If the price level were more appropriate, it would have been 5 stars.

Great Italian in the outlet city. Very tasty food in a nice atmosphere inside and outside. The waitresses are nice, not intrusive, and even rarely check that things are going well. Will definitely come back! :)

The food is absolutely delicious. From bruschetta, pasta, pizza, fish and perfect desserts such as tiramisu or tartufo al pistacchio or cioccolata is everything with fine taste. You can also pair the dishes with fine wines.

Food was ok but panna cotta was very sweet. Sauce shouldn't be sweet everything was very very sweet. I don't know if the parmesan was real parmesan, it wasn't like normal.

Great quality, service very attentive but relatively expensive for a normal pizza for lunch. A top address in the evening, starters for the whole group, dessert, etc. Everything was very nice. We'll come back when we get the chance.

L'Angolo is a typical Italian restaurant in a central location with a pleasant interior. However, the prices are high, we were shocked by the prices of over 20 euros for a pizza. There may be better options in Metzingen, but for those who value the location and are willing to accept the prices, L'Angolo offers a fitting choice.

Top place with the best and most friendly staff and owner. Will come back again and again and again. Try the best wine from Italy with the best dishes!!!!

Incredibly beautiful Italian restaurant if you go shopping in the outlet in Metzingen. I recommend pasta with zucchini and veal with white wine sauce (not on the menu). Totally familiar, have been there for 20 years. Simply great. 2 of us would love to come back. Grazie mille ❤️

Im an Indian and visited this restaurant last year during my training along with my German colleagues. Even after a year I can still experience that taste of food in my mouth.. what a delicious food it was!!! The owner of the restaurant is so friendly, that he comes in person and suggests dishes as per your food taste..

Recommended Italian restaurant. Very good cuisine and courteous service. Reservations recommended. The only disadvantage: it is relatively loud as conversations echo throughout the room.

Sehr gemütliches Lokal und tolles Essen! Einzig schade ist, dass es keine Mittagskarte mit Angeboten gibt. Preislich eher etwas gehoben, z.B. eine Margherita kostet inzwischen 13 Euro.
