We were just there. My ham and corn pizza had very little ham and corn on it. My daughter had salad and pizza—well, mostly salad with arugula, two tomatoes, and four cucumber slices. She had maggots with corn, onions, and bell peppers, but not really much corn. The service was very slow and inattentive; glasses were empty on the table for a long time. When we finished eating, no one came to clear the table. Very disappointing. It wasn't busy at all. I asked for a children's portion because I can't eat much, but unfortunately, they don't offer that.

L’Osteria in Ingolstadt is absolutely fantastic! We ate there for the first time, received a warm welcome, and immediately felt at ease. The atmosphere is lively, modern, yet cozy. We especially want to highlight the enormous pizzas, which are not only visually impressive but also incredibly delicious. The crust is thin and crispy, and the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. The pasta dishes are also perfectly seasoned and very generously portioned. The service was very attentive, friendly, and pleasantly quick despite the restaurant being busy. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, authentic Italian cuisine, and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

The giant pizza is definitely worth experiencing. Prices are reasonable, as is the service. The ambiance is rather below average. The tables are very close together (designed for mass production). It's very noisy when busy.

I'm typically a big fan of L'Osteria having visited the one in Osnabrück many times. I have only visited the Ingolstadt establishment once before visiting the second time in Friday evening with my family visiting from abroad. We had a reservation and we're seated quickly but everything from that point on went down hill. Slow/absent service. Orders came out wrong... Servers and kitchen staff repeatedly sending wrong food to tables all around us. When the food arrived it was cold. A server asked if we wanted dessert or anything else which I said yes. She said she'd inform our server. Our server never visited us again until I finally, by luck, was able to flag him down after repeated attempts and waiting nearly 30 minutes. The whole evening was rather disappointing especially since I was very much looking forward to sharing the experience of L'Osteria with my family.

Dear Sir or Madam, I hereby submit a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable, disrespectful, and offensive behavior of a person in your restaurant. This evening, December 24, 2025, I was asked to leave your restaurant without any justifiable reason, even though I was alone and behaving appropriately. The person in question told me in an extremely arrogant manner that they were the manager or owner of the establishment and could throw me out at any time they pleased. This statement, as well as their entire demeanor, was humiliating, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Such behavior towards guests is in no way acceptable and significantly damages the reputation of your restaurant. The person was tall, dark-skinned, had black hair, and wore white-rimmed glasses. At the time, the restaurant was not busy, so there was absolutely no justification for this behavior. This incident is particularly serious for me because I am a regular customer and have always been satisfied with your restaurant. After this experience, I feel disrespected and deeply disappointed. We spontaneously went to the restaurant one Saturday evening, asked for a table, and were told to wait an hour. No problem, since we hadn't made a reservation. However, we actively asked if we should make a reservation for an hour later. The man at reception told us that wasn't necessary. When we returned an hour later, the same employee told us that he didn't have a table for us. Overall, I have fond memories of the food, but it's difficult when you can't rely on a promise.

Upon entering the restaurant, a dark-haired waiter seated us at a table without asking. We requested to change tables, but this was refused. The waiter was unfriendly, and the service was very slow. We returned specifically because we had received prompt and friendly service on previous visits. This time, however, he didn't even check if everything was alright or if we were satisfied. Only the Mexican waiter came to us, asked if we needed anything, and was very pleasant. In the end, we didn't want to leave a tip, but there was no option for it on the card terminal. Because of the poor service, we probably won't return, which is a shame because the food is really delicious.

Everything is great, the food tastes delicious, I always love coming back here! I'd especially like to commend Ewelina; she was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and very professional. I immediately felt welcome. Thank you so much for the wonderful service!

Good food, good people, good atmosphere

The pizza was quite good overall and tasted fine. However, what bothered me most was the requirement to leave a tip of at least 10%. The young waitress with the sleek stylist gave us no choice; we had to select a tip option before paying. I find this inappropriate and unpleasant. Tipping should be voluntary and not expected or demanded.

The food was delicious – fresh, beautifully presented, and very tasty. Our waitress, Lily, was very friendly, attentive, and always had a smile on her face. The service was quick without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely outrageous. The Maccheroncini Gorgonzola was a tiny portion, not even remotely enough to satisfy an adult. To then charge €14.25 for the pasta and an additional €4.49 delivery fee is simply a rip-off. The value for money is catastrophic. Never again.

So, the drinks, Fanta Spezi, etc., were all watered down with punch; I've never had anything like it. The food was sometimes okay, sometimes inedible, especially if it was the person cooking. The staff was very uninterested. Not recommended unless you just want to give the place a good run.

We held our Christmas dinner here, and it was simply fantastic. The pizza was crispy and delicious, the appetizers perfectly seasoned, and the service very friendly. I can't understand the few negative reviews. It's also interesting that the authors of these reviews can't even spell, let alone grammar. And this in the age of autocorrect! But that's just a side note. In any case, we were extremely satisfied and will definitely come back again. Thank you!!!

It was just a plain tomato sauce with absolutely no flavor—no spice, no garlic, nothing at all. I left half the plate untouched. The pasta from the monthly specials (conchiglie, pollo, and paprika) that my wife ordered wasn't anything special either. We usually eat at L'osteria, but this time it was a real disappointment. When the waiter asked if we enjoyed our meal, I mentioned that the penne arrabbiata was awful. He apologized, saying that many of his staff were out sick and that's why the regular chef hadn't made it, but he didn't offer to remove it from the bill or give us a discount. We were offered coffee, but we don't drink coffee. I think it's a real shame, and we'll be avoiding this restaurant in the future. When the waiter asked if we enjoyed our meal, I mentioned that the penne arrabbiata was terrible. The same thing happened with the food—who got the children's pasta with butter and who got the full-sized lunches? Unfortunately, the restaurant isn't stroller-friendly either; there are several steps at the entrance and inside.

*0 stars!* Ordering from there is an absolute disgrace! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! We ordered from L’Osteria via Lieferando today at around 9:40 pm and paid online via PayPal. Initially, we were able to track the order without any problems. It repeatedly showed that the food was "on its way" and "coming soon." After more than 70 minutes – almost an hour and a half – we finally called the restaurant. We were told that our order slips were still at the restaurant and not a single Lieferando driver had come to pick anything up. We were told we had to call Lieferando ourselves – as if it wasn't their responsibility to take care of it or at least inform the customer. No apology, no information, nothing at all. Instead, we were simply left waiting, and later they stopped answering the phone. It seemed to us as if the matter was simply "closed" for them, even though we received neither food nor any kind of compensation or apology. . , ... We used to order from there often and happily; the food was always delicious. But today's service was simply disrespectful. Leaving customers hanging like that—despite payment—is absolutely unprofessional. And unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident: In the past, specific instructions in our orders (e.g., no onions) were repeatedly ignored without any response or apology. After this experience, we've decided: We will never order from here again. I strongly advise everyone against it—if you have a problem, you get neither help nor a reasonable response. This was by far the most outrageous and utterly unacceptable service! *An absolute disgrace.* You're lucky that PayPal refunded the money immediately. *Never again. We can definitely do without such terrible service.*

Wolfgang provided excellent service; he was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very noisy, and management really needs to address this! I find it a shame that management doesn't seem to care about the atmosphere or make any changes. It would be so easy, and customers would feel much more comfortable if the noise level were reduced.

I absolutely love coming here for pizza. The atmosphere is fantastic – warm, lively, and the smell of fresh pizza is everywhere. You almost feel like you're in Italy. Whether with friends or alone, the pizza is always delicious. What I particularly appreciate is that when you come alone, you often get served faster and have your pizza at your table in no time. That's a real plus. For me, it's one of the best spots in Ingolstadt when it comes to good pizza and a relaxed atmosphere.

L'Osteria is a modern Italian restaurant serves delicious 😋 and authentic Italian food at the heart of Ingolstadt old town, right by the oldest church also the oldest surviving building of Ingolstadt. Like their interior design, especially the lighting, gives you a warm atmosphere. Food-wise, like their avocado 🥑 and beet 🫜 salad, house sauce with quinoa, plus the fresh greens, strongly recommend it!!! As suggested by the restaurant, I ordered Gnocchi Gamberetti, you know what, the shrimps 🦐 are very very fresh, while I made the wrong decision to ask for spaghetti instead of penne, so the noodle portion was a bit plain, not as I expected. Having said this, I definitely will come again next time in town.

Is it true that you can only get your child in without a stroller (2 months old)? I saw a video where someone complained about it, and there were at least three reviews from people who immediately knew where it was and had the same experience. I can understand the space issue, but it's still not acceptable, and to suggest a highchair for an obvious child who can't sit up is outrageous. Especially since the parents can't even eat then. So, I wouldn't go there with a child; it's a disaster. I've never heard of or seen anything like this before. It's annoying when people take up space, yes, but you can't just say that. And yes, there was a video where the restaurant was empty. I have two children myself, neither of whom are walking yet. The first is 8 weeks old and can't sit up yet, so this isn't a restaurant for us. It's a shame.
