3x 5 stars for this restaurant. The service was extremely friendly and quick. The food was perfect and we were in the middle of the most popular district of Essen, a beer garden with a Mediterranean atmosphere. We would like to thank you very much 🥰. The restaurant used to be equipped with washing machines, but today it invites you to dream. We will come back.

Food is great, but service is just bad. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks (despite the almost empty restaurant) and it also took almost 30 minutes before we could finally pay. In order to take the leftover pizza with us, we were at least allowed to fold the pizza box ourselves...

A really nice place to stay, especially if you have children. Because the outdoor sandpit brings parents a touch of relaxation. However, you can expect system catering here, which isn't a bad thing. However, you should be aware of this. In terms of price in the upper segment, quality in the middle range. Every Italian would never make a carbonara with cream. The bruscetta was extremely hard and tasteless. The Pizza Formaggie was tasty, but very thin. The waiters tried to serve every guest quickly, which is why the atmosphere was quite hectic. You can certainly eat there for a quick dinner or spend a nice evening with friends. However, if you are looking for traditional Italian cuisine and a certain style, you have come to the wrong place.

Great ambience..And the beer garden is great..It gives you that holiday feeling..And the pizzas are legendary...huge size for big appetites...price performance and service top..If you can't manage the pizza...you'll get it packed up ..I was very satisfied and felt comfortable there..

We were at L'Osteria on a wonderfully warm day. The outside area is nice but no reservations are accepted for outside. We were there with a larger group and had to sit in the restaurant and that's how the "disaster" began. All the service staff were so busy outside that we were put to the test with our orders with a long waiting time. After eating we didn't have the opportunity to order any more drinks. We sat near the counter and repeatedly called attention to ourselves without success. The managing director didn't accept any drink requests, but he did buy us a Limochello to settle the matter. Long story...we paid and moved on for more drinks, that's quite possible in Rüttenscheid, Conclusion: There are good, huge pizzas, the risotto was great, but the service unfortunately detracts from a positive impression.

We didn't even wait 10 minutes before our food was already served. Very friendly and courteous staff (Ismael). I'm already looking forward to the next visit ❤️

Great place with a wonderful location in the Rüttenscheid Street, delicious desserts, beautiful music, gentle waiters and clear bathrooms! We were there at 3 pm, so there were not many people, but pretty many reservation carda on the tables, so if you're planning to come in the evening, I believe a reservation would be a smart decision. We ordered cappuccino, latte macchiato, chocolate suffle and a mascarpone creme with strawberries - everything was incredibly tasty! ☕ An immediate recommendation! I have in plans come back and try a pizza there or anything of the kind 🍽️

I find the decor and the waiters very nice and personable. The food was excellent, there was no need to add any salt because they knew exactly how to season it perfectly. Simply great!!!

Yesterday, July 19, 2024, I was there with my Mammutmarsch friends and it was a dream how the staff looked after us. As always, the food was great and arrived quickly at the table, as were the drinks. There was no problem with a dog in the restaurant. Any time again especially at this la Osteria and I have already been to a few. Greetings to all waitresses (Unfortunately I don't know the name but I have kept my promise)

Our waitress Susy was really good with the service and the pizzas were amazing; they are enormous and really tasty 😋. If you want to have a nice price/quality pizza, this is the place to eat.

You know the RÜ, but you don't know what's behind the restaurants (we definitely don't). There were 3 tables and chairs at the front, the waiter pointed out to us that there were still seats available in the courtyard at the back. We didn't know it would go any further. We followed the waiter through the huge, great restaurant, stood on a metal staircase and then wow... a really great beer garden with super nice staff. Even though it was full, it was really quiet. Almost a little holiday feeling. The food, pizza was amazing. Olive trees and lemon trees so warmly

We don’t need to talk about the taste, I love L’Osteria. However, the staff at the Rüttenscheid branch cannot be surpassed in terms of unfriendliness. When you come in you are asked in annoyance whether you have already decided, last time my wife was asked why she was standing there in the entrance area and you were told “Just pizza” and not in a good tone. In any case, it was the last time. From now on to the city center.

The evening in the garden at L’Osteria was beautiful. The ambience is great and you hardly notice anything of the big city of Essen. We were served very nicely by Viviane. A noticeably friendly employee who obviously enjoys her job and her manner made our stay even better. Thank you 😊

Absolutely not recommended, we wanted to eat something there shortly after eight and sit outside on one of the few sunny days. Unfortunately it was explained to us that the terrace can only be used for a drink. It's a real shame, since there are hardly any nice days when you can sit outside, you would be even more looking forward to an outdoor dinner. Disappointing, but there are other good and friendly restaurants, such as Café Olive, which gave us friendly hospitality.

Here's a little update. A great restaurant with fantastic pizzas. The atmosphere is amazing. Today I revised my previous rating upwards. A few years ago: Great experience, delicious food The pizzas are huge and very tasty. But they were so big that you quickly got cold. Sometimes something less is more. Still recommended. The service was ok.

I don't know how to start but MOBINA is the worst and worst waitress I have ever seen in my entire life and I have lived in this world for 49 years and what happened to me is simply unbelievable. MOBINA was very ungrateful and asked for a tip which is very inappropriate in my OPINION If she just fires then the PROBLEM (Mobina) is gone.

It's been a long time since I ate there again this evening with three friends. As always, the food was very good and plentiful. Service very attentive. Ambience ok. Unfortunately, none of us are flower fans and the bouquet from the entrance could clearly be smelled all the way to the back corner 😁

Ambiguous impression: first we are made to wait forever to be able to order because the waiter prefers to clean the neighboring table and dismisses us for it, then a lovely waitress comes and profusely apologizes for the delay. The pizza was the wrong one, but still delicious. After paying (including a 10% tip), we are asked twice (!) to pay again (one drink missing... another drink missing). Super annoying, especially since we had to go to the train station. In our haste we couldn't determine whether the bill was correct - €53 for two pizzas, 1 bottle of water and three non-alcoholic beers?!) A lack of staff is one thing… but people! Get your technology and dealing with guests together!

It's just a system catering with the standard program in all branches. The branch looks a bit cozier, is more like a bar and is not housed in the chain's standard new building. Service was courteous and friendly, even when we were the last guests at a late hour.

We wanted to pay for food separately. In the end everyone paid something, even though it was listed exactly who had what. When I asked, the response was very rude and I should get my money back myself. No apology and not. Check your bills, people are ripping you off here! Service in general was hardly there. Every repeat order had to be fought for. It was the last time for me.

We found it very nice. The food was delicious and came within a few minutes. The service was totally friendly, despite the great stress and the crowded hut. The only drawback, as always in such shops, is that at times you can't understand your own words. But you know that in advance.

Like all l'osterias, delicious food, typical ambience. Only the toilet rooms should be checked and cleaned more often. The wastebasket at the sink was overflowing and paper was flying everywhere on the floor. A toilet was clogged with paper, and there were lots of leftover chips and nuts next to it. That is not how it works.

The L'Osteria in Rüttenscheid is highly recommended. It was possible to get a table spontaneously, great! Not a given with 10 people. The service was very attentive and quick. Top! The food was very tasty! So, we can only recommend it! Always very happy! ✌️

I know l'osteria differently... I got stale cola three times even though I said I didn't want to drink it anymore and would rather take something else. There was no way I felt like I was being taken for a ride by the waitress because she always said it was new. Unfortunately the service was just the waitress with the red hair. Too little cutlery and no napkins. Food was okay like at every l'osteria... I wouldn't come again. The noodle portion was also more of a children's portion... well, it's a shame

We were there for our grandchild's baptism. It was very nice, but the shop is humming and therefore it is relatively loud.

Had to wait forever for our food. Guests who arrived later were more likely to be served. They had already finished eating and paid, but we still didn't have our food. Due to a later appointment we were under a bit of time pressure, but no one was interested in that. Never again.

As usual from Losteria, very tasty pizza, food came quickly despite the restaurant being busy on a Friday evening. Delicious Limoncello Spritz. However, we had to wait 15 minutes for our table despite having a reservation; the table was free the whole time, which unfortunately led to a downgrade.

We were there with three adults and two children. The food can be said to be good as in any other branch. Service was also good. I like the atmosphere here best compared to other branches I've been to. So it's good as always at L'Osteria.

We ordered a pizza and a risotto, which we drank prosecco with. Everything was of very good quality. Very tasty and in large quantities. The service was very friendly and smiling. The music was very fun and gave a good atmosphere. Great place to spend an evening with friends.
