Yes, definitely. The only thing I didn't like was the noise level. The food is excellent! The pizza looks like it's over the edge of the plate 😉, everything is freshly prepared. You can watch through the open kitchen. The service is fast, but due to the size and crowds of the restaurant, it can take a while. The prices are a bit high, but the quality and quantity are absolutely fine. The only thing I found too loud in the restaurant was the noise level, which somewhat spoiled the cozy atmosphere of eating together, but that's a matter of opinion. Luckily, we reserved a table in advance, which I highly recommend.

The pizza is really good, but for various reasons, it gets incredibly loud in the place. One reason is probably the open-kitchen concept. It's not my thing. It's quite expensive, but still reasonable. Service is slow; when it's busy, you can wait an hour or more (both before and after ordering). But the service is very friendly, and even when the place is packed, they usually keep an overview. That's definitely an achievement. The tables are a bit small, too. If it's empty, it's a good option for takeout for authentic Neapolitan pizza.

We like to go to the L'Osteria chain and are always very satisfied. Our visit in Dortmund that day was OK... unfortunately, standard ingredients were forgotten on 2 of the 4 pizzas. And the service at our table was normally good, but unfortunately, they reacted very rudely and dismissively when we accidentally left no tips. It's always loud when a restaurant is full; this one was only half full at the time, but incredibly loud.

We often celebrate birthdays there with up to 30 people. The food is always brought to the table together and fairly quickly. The atmosphere is super friendly, and apart from minor details, everything runs smoothly. And that's with such large groups! It's truly remarkable, and I'd like to thank the entire team once again for their outstanding service. ♥️

I recently visited L'Osteria on Friedensplatz with friends and was completely impressed! As soon as you enter, you immediately sense the relaxed, Italian atmosphere – lively, bright, and friendly. The decor is stylish yet cozy, ideal for a relaxing evening for two or a nice get-together with friends. The food was simply fantastic: the pizza was crispy and thin, the base was perfect, and the toppings were plentiful and flavorful. The pasta dishes also left nothing to be desired – lovingly made, fresh, and with great sauce. And not just the main courses: the appetizers and desserts (e.g., the dolci menu) were also definitely impressive. If you like a sweet finish, you'll find something to your liking. A particular plus is the service: very friendly, courteous, and attentive, even when it was busy. We had the feeling that everyone was genuinely trying to make the evening as pleasant as possible. The location is also top-notch – right in the city center, easily accessible, and ideal for people who still want good food after shopping or a stroll through the city. In summer, the terrace invites you to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of Friedensplatz. A small note: It can be a bit noisy in the evenings, and at peak times, you may have to wait a bit – but that's hardly avoidable at such a popular Italian restaurant, and the anticipation of your meal somehow makes the wait worthwhile. In conclusion: L'Osteria Friedensplatz is a true gem for anyone who loves Italian cuisine – with great food, a fantastic ambiance, and dedicated service. I'd love to come back and highly recommend it!

I spontaneously stopped by last night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I found the tables very small for two people and two pizzas. The price/performance ratio was okay. I opted for tortellini, which wasn't big enough for a grown man. However, the food was good. All in all, it was good. Thanks to the kitchen and the staff.

Towards the end, we perhaps wished we had asked about drinks. Otherwise, it was an all-around pleasant visit to L'Osteria.

The Margherita's price-to-fat ratio is generally quite good, but why is the dough so thin? Why not make it 30cm instead of 40cm and a bit thicker? Alternatively, serve the pizza on a larger plate, which was honestly half the size of the pizza. The thing was almost impossible to cut.

The price/performance ratio was great! For 7 people, around €210 including 3 bottles of wine – totally fine. The pasta dishes were delicious, the pizzas were huge, and the service was pleasant, very friendly, and always approachable. They did a great job!

The pizzas are very, very, very large, so if you're smaller, it's better to share one with two people. Both sides can be topped with different toppings.

Sorry for the bad review, I can only give it 5 stars. Four people were there, and unfortunately, everyone's food was simply delicious... and then the service was so good... outrageous. And then the price... not cheap, but you only get a super delicious meal with fresh ingredients! What was not good, though, was that we were all completely full and extremely satisfied. Unfortunately, I have to tell you that this won't be our last visit. It's simply a disgrace how delicious it was and how good the service was!..........I need to give more stars 😉

Good starters, lasagna could be a bit bigger, but otherwise good food

I was here with my brother and thought I was the only one who thought it was so fantastic until we got our food and were more than satisfied. I would like to thank Iena's very much. Thank you for still having waiters who take their jobs seriously and place such value on customer satisfaction. We will definitely come back and wish everyone only such service and food in the future. If that's what you want, go to the Losteria at Friedensplatz. 5/5 stars in every respect.

The pizzas are great, nothing to complain about. The pasta is also delicious, but often there could be a bit more on the plate. What we didn't like about last night were the salads. They tasted good, but the quantity, for almost €16, was a complete disappointment. A little less and it would pass as a side salad. Apparently, something has changed in fast-food restaurants, because a good seven months ago, they were large salad bowls. Too bad, only 3 stars from me!

A very nice and attentive waitress with plenty of experience, where you don't have to point out everything yourself or remind us. Definitely recommend her. Ienas served us and anticipated all our requests, taking great care to satisfy us. The food was just as good and tasted very authentic. We had to wait almost an hour for the pizza, which was delicious. The guy who came after us had already finished his food. And when we ordered dessert, they only listened with one ear. It was also delicious, but just not what we ordered. It wasn't their best day, even though it wasn't busy.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because it never arrived! The waiter was arrogant and rude! Not recommended!

We had a lovely evening at Losteria. Our server, Gigi, was very attentive and entertaining. We'd love to come back.

I went there with a colleague during my lunch break. We ordered a Caesar salad with chicken breast strips. It was remarkable that we were offered different types of olive oil. We opted for the slightly spicy olive oil, which went perfectly with the salad. It tasted excellent. The service was friendly and professional. However, I felt a little lacking in the genuine attention to the guests. The point with eye contact and introducing one's own first name, and the hint that she would be happy to take care of our well-being today, would have been perfect for this place. The ambiance is excellent; I felt at home.

The salad was a bit bland, with a lot of sauce, and I missed the bread. Apparently, you have to order that with it. After complaining about too much sauce, I was told to order it separately next time. The antipasto and salad were served at the same time. This was definitely not a good experience.

We had a reservation. Two adults and one child. When we entered the restaurant, someone came immediately. We wanted to point out our reservation, as we would have preferred to sit at the edge. We just didn't get a chance. The response was something like: reservation doesn't matter, sit here, and the waitress was gone. Overall, a very unpleasant greeting. Nothing happened for a while, and we didn't want to make a huge fuss about our child. The second waitress, very friendly, came and took our order. Everything came very quickly, although the pasta came well before the pizzas. Not ideal for a table of three, and it wasn't full. Overall, there was a bit of a "processed" feeling. Drink, eat, pay, goodbye. The food was excellent. Everything tasted very good. Overall, though, it was a so-so visit.

"Would you like a drink beforehand?"...a common question in the restaurant industry, and also an understandable approach. Especially since guests can reorder drinks during their stay. However, it becomes unusual when the food arrives before the drinks despite reminders, and the server then notices it again and immediately returns with a completely different drink. It's also unusual because the same procedure happened here in Dortmund a few months ago. The server was clearly uninterested in the grievances raised when paying later, but they did show a very specific keystroke sequence on the card reader...cheeky and a real shame. Also worth mentioning: In terms of taste, both in the pizzas and pasta dishes, L'Osteria Dortmund is now far behind other restaurants in the chain, so much so that we will be giving this restaurant a wide berth from now on.

The pizza was huge, crispy, and absolutely delicious – exactly what you'd expect from L’Osteria. A special shout-out goes to Gigi, our waitress. She was extremely friendly, attentive, and provided genuine service. Despite the full house, she was always in a good mood, served our tables quickly, and always had a smile. This is definitely the best L'Osteria in Dortmund. The pizza sizes are still the same as before; at other restaurants, the pizzas have shrunk. Everything was delicious, served quickly, and the staff was very friendly. You get more than enough for a normal price. I'll be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, no staff member came to us, even though we turned around and looked toward the bar. The staff were more engaged in private conversations than paying attention to us. It was a shame, so we just left.

In 2025, in a fairly large city, it’s surprising when a waiter doesn’t speak any English. Another waiter, who was very kind and spoke English, ended up serving our table — but this led to long waits, as he seemed to be the only one able to help. Staff didn’t seem to notice that we were dining with two children, and service was generally slow. First of the starter was served after the main course, which was unusual. When we ordered dessert, it took a long time to be served, probably because it had started to rain, and the staff were busy moving everything inside, and many guests wanted to pay. Coffee was served, but the desserts were forgotten. The food was OK.

The biggest pizza I've ever eaten... DELICIOUS 😋 🍕

Unfortunately, it's much too loud for me. The music drowns out every conversation, and the guests talk louder as a result. This level of noise stressed me out, and I left immediately after dinner. Unfortunately, it wasn't a relaxing restaurant experience for me.

We recently ate pizza at L'Osteria. The pizza is top-notch, as at every L'Osteria! Unfortunately, this restaurant seems a bit crowded. However, the staff is trying hard. I can imagine it can get quite busy due to the high volume of customers. I don't recommend visiting during peak hours.

A wonderful place, with exceptionally friendly service. The spaghetti with red wine was delicious. The Lugado wine was first-rate. The carbonara was different from the Italian version, creamier, but still amazing.
