Honestly, for the price, it was really disappointing! The presentation wasn't nice; the tomato soup was not creamy at all and over-seasoned! The farfalle with salmon was too spicy and served as if I had cooked it at home. The same goes for my companion's risotto. Then, after the starter, we had a miserable wait for the main course. I was also surprised that they put bread and other things there and then charged for it, which is standard service in other upscale restaurants. Then there was the latte macchiato in a tea glass, and even for an Italian restaurant, it came from a fully automatic machine. I hadn't expected anything different!

I got the Fettuccine truffle pasta and the Pasta Ripena con Spinaci e ricotta. Very good pasta. Ended up with the tiramisu for dessert. The interior was very nice and the staff was amazing. Would recommend!

Food was okay. Service wasn't great. Ambience was okay. Spent €300 and no drinks were included.

I visited Acqua Dortmund for the first time today and was impressed by the upscale decor of the establishment and the relaxed clientele. The service was friendly and the food was delicious – exactly what I expected. However, there was one major drawback that left a bitter taste in my mouth: the side dish that was served before the main course wasn't actively ordered. It was served automatically, and without me being informed in advance that it would incur an additional charge. As a new customer, I would have liked to have been informed beforehand that there was a charge for the side dish, so that I could have decided for myself whether I wanted it or not. I actually find that quite cheeky and disrespectful. I only noticed hours later on the bill, purely by chance, that there was a charge for this, when I actually just wanted to introduce my friend to the restaurant and share my positive experience so far. It's a real shame, because as a customer, you don't pay attention to whether unordered side dishes cost extra or not. This is especially disappointing because I didn't hesitate to tip the employee €15. Overall, however, the experience was very soured by this situation. It has led me to the decision to avoid this restaurant and not recommend it to anyone.

More show than substance. The food seems to be served in 3 minutes, so after 45 minutes, we're already finished with the starter, main course, and dessert. Everything seems rather fake, and the quality isn't there at all. Just because some BVB players go there doesn't mean they have any taste or knowledge. It's a shame, we thought there was a real alternative in Dortmund.

Very friendly and well-kept restaurant. Staff very friendly and accommodating. On a hot day and waiting for someone, we were warmly welcomed and were even able to have just one drink although this is not usual. A big thank you to the restaurant, I will definitely try the menu on my next visit.

We only went to Acqua for a coffee and a dessert because we also wanted to check out the location. The atmosphere was very calm, relaxed and really beautiful. However, we found the price-performance ratio to be a bit exaggerated - you can tell that the aim here is to appeal to a more upscale audience. In terms of taste, the desserts were okay, but no real highlights

Some dishes - for example the tomato soup - are not that great. Anyone who feels comfortable in the atmosphere, wants to eat slightly above average and has an open wallet will spend a great evening here.

We hadn't reserved a Risch before the Italy Germany international match and the restaurant was full. The gentleman at reception still made a table available for us. I had a beef fillet and my son had the penne with veal ragout. Both are recommended, even if the vegetable side dish with the beef fillet was a bit bland. The sauce ripped it out again. The penne with veal ragout was simply great.

It was our first time eating at Acqua Dortmund and we were really very satisfied. The food was tasty and hot. The selection of food and drinks was absolutely fine. The staff clears the tables quickly and is really friendly. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated.

Food was very tasty, but 8.80 for 0.5l Krombacher was way over the top. The ambience is modern but not uncomfortable or cold. The service was first class. Everyone definitely enjoyed it and apart from the price of the beer, the price was reasonable considering the quality.

Had dinner there with friends on Saturday October 5th. The restaurant clearly deserves five stars. All three dishes tasted very good. The collection of unique jerseys with autographs from BvB is also impressive.

On September 7th, 2024 we were guests of a wedding party who wanted to end the beautiful day in Aqua. That was a fallacy. The service was so disrespectful and rude to us that we couldn't stop being amazed. It is said that the guest is king, but not at Aqua. You're only king if you work the way the staff wants you to. I would give a recommendation for the future. Send your staff to training so that they can learn how to deal with people and control their emotions. Staff unfriendly, food overpriced.

**Restaurant Review** We went to this restaurant for lunch today and absolutely loved it! The very friendly waiter Roman welcomed us warmly and looked after us well. The spaghetti with tomato sauce was delicious, plus gluten-free pasta with aromatic chanterelles - a real treat! The grilled octopus with salad was tender and perfectly cooked. Clear recommendation! 6 out of 5 stars :-)

We were here with a wedding party. The self-proclaimed head waiter was anything but polite. We were there with 16 people, but instead of being served appropriately, we were unfortunately only rudely told that any food would not be enough to cover the turnover. That's why he said that we wouldn't get our food until later, since he would now serve the other tables (guests were only there for half an hour to an hour) and bring them their food. Luckily, in this restaurant, which tastes impeccable, there are also other service staff who were much nicer and did a great job despite being a black sheep. Even if I'm not from here, I wouldn't come here again, even if it were an opportunity. You should know 😘

My companion's steak was great, the accompanying side dish was a disgrace for the price. My penne with ragout wasn't recommended either, the ragout was great but the penne wasn't cooked long enough. At a price of €100 for 2 main courses, you can expect more.

Quite expensive. Dishes taste very good. However, the puree was only lukewarm in both portions. We would have expected more for the money. There was only a shortened card for BVB's home games, which made the selection quite difficult.

We have been guests at ACQUA for many years and can count the restaurant as one of our favorite, upscale addresses in Dortmund! The service, the ambience, the quiet location and the dishes are convincing in every respect. The waitresses are friendly and attentive, Roman in particular always has an open ear and makes every visit a pleasant experience. The prices are in the upper segment, but in our opinion you also get excellent quality and a certain exclusivity. There are numerous parking spaces on site and directly in front of the restaurant.

Excellent environment truly sophisticated Italian restaurant. The baby octopuses are amazing and the yellowfin tuna are fantastic. The same with the porcini risotto. The sweets are also of the same level. The wine list could be better. Expensive shop but justifiably so

Great atmosphere, nice waiters, nothing to complain about, but if the schnitzel costs €40 you should only go in with enough budget. Rather upscale and expensive. And the schnitzel wasn't seasoned at all, but maybe that's how you eat it in the "star kitchen". I didn't like it. But still 3 stars, but only because of the funny waiter. It's my personal opinion, make up your own mind :)

Wiener Schnitzel over 30 euros is simply a lot. Incoming goods are high, manpower for production is minimal...easy "doing". The pasta would be al dente, but unfortunately here it is cooked for even less time. Sorry, but if you have to chew pasta like meat, then at least I don't like it anymore......and this is the third time I've had that.

At Acqua in Dortmund I experience culinary excellence. The dishes are a treat for the palate and the ambience is appealing. The steaks are simply fantastic, the veal is one of the best in the area, and the fish also impresses with its absolute freshness and quality. The atmospheric ambience creates a pleasant atmosphere. The team is characterized by hospitality and attentive service.

Leider waren nicht alle Servicekräfte so professionell, wie man es bei einer gehobenen Gastronomie erwarten würde. So wurde das alkoholfreie Getränk regelmäßig vergessen und auf Nachfrage erhielt man die Antwort, dass man nur alkoholische servieren könne und die anderen irgendwie immer vergessen würden. Leider stach das Essen geschmacklich auch nicht besonders heraus, so dass der Service-Fauxpas den bleibenden Eindruck ausmacht.

Nudeln leider ungenießbar waren nicht gar hatte nicht mal was mit aldente zu tun waren noch hart gewesen hab das essen so zurück gehen lassen und wollte auch nix neues mehr einmal und die wieder

Im Juli haben wir sehr gut gegessen. Der Dienstag, der 3. Oktober, war eine Katastrophe . Das unschlagbare Kalbs Kotolet, der Trockenfisch, die Albtraumnudeln. Wir werden ihm noch eine Chance geben

Wir waren zu einem Geburtstagsessen im Acqua. Aufgrund einer persönlichen Bekanntschaft war der Service sehr gut - dies kann als neutraler Gast möglicherweise anders aussehen. Die Qualität der Speisen war sehr gut, auch Sonderwünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Das Ambiente war interessant - es tendiert zum Sehen und Gesehen werden.

Tolle italienische Küche, sehr zu empfehlen. Leider sehr hochpreisig.

Absolut Top, Essen Service und Location!

Meiner Meinung nach: keinen einzigen Stern wert. ich war gestern nach längerer Zeit wieder im ACQUA zum Abendessen und war ehrlich gesagt schockiert. Unhöflichkeit, Unprofessionalität des Kellners und starke Qualitätsabnahme der Speisen. Fazit des Abends: nach den mäßig schlechten Vorspeisen, das Abendessen abgebrochen. Trotz Nachfrage, wurde dies auch nicht korrigiert sondern, mit einer beleidigenden Ausdrucks- und Wortweise belächelt. Sehr schade und enttäuschend. Ich finde, davon sollte der Manager erfahren, da das tolle „Acqua“ wie es mal war, anscheinend nicht mehr existiert. Die Vorspeisen hatten von der Anrichtung her einen „Café E*trabla*t“ Charakter (nicht falsch verstehen, mögen wir auch, kostet aber vielleicht nur 1/8 davon & geschmacklich absolut nicht zu bemängeln, wenn man nur einen „Snack“ und kein Abendessen will ;-)). Apropos Essen: Der Tuhnfischtartar war frisch aufgetaut, auf einer unreifen Acocado serviert. Für ein Restaurant dieser Preisklasse, sollte man sich nicht nur auf dem guten „alten“ Namen ausruhen. P.S.: wenn der Kellner den Tartar wirklich mit „Zuma Mykonos“ oder „Gatsby Barcelona“ Standards vergleicht, sollte er vielleicht mal wirklich mit uns dahin kommen um „hohen Standard“ zu verstehen. ach, ich bin sprachlos. Leider, nie wieder mein Go 2.

Bestes Restaurant in Dortmund, wunderbares Essen, gute Weine und ein herrliches Ambiente!

Wir waren das erste mal dort und der Weg dorthin lies nicht erahnen das am Ende des "Industriegebiets" solch ein tolle Gastronomie sich befindet. Ein supergemütlicher Terrassenbereich und von innen geschmackvoll gestaltete Räume die italienische Nobless unaufgeregt wieder spiegeln.Wir wurden superfreundlich empfangenund bewirtet. Der Service lies keine Wünsche offen und die Speisen und Getränke waren erstklassig. Ich finde eine der ersten Adressen in Dortmund .

Wir sind zu zweit hin, wurden anfangs nicht mal gefragt was wir trinken möchten, eine rollbare Karte wurde uns vor den Tisch gestellt und der Kellner ging. Bei 30 Grad ohne Trinken fanden wir das nicht ganz so lustig. Auf der normalen Karte gab es nicht viel Auswahl. Ein italienisches Restaurant in dem es nicht mal Pizza gibt, zwei Sorten Nudeln und (warum auch immer) Wiener Schnitzel. Bestellt wurden das Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und gefüllte Nudeln in Salbei Butter. Die (4) Nudeln schmeckten nach gar nichts, außer Salbei, was als Hauptgeschmack nicht wirklich appetitlich ist. Brot mit Petersilie-Frischkäse Dip gabs im Vornherein gegen einen Aufpreis von 1,50 pro Person. Auf dem Tisch stand ein kleines Schild, versteckt hinter Öl und Gewürzstreuern, auf dem stand, würde man dies nicht wollen sollte man dies im Vornherein anmerken. Das Einzige was man gut essen konnte, waren die Bratkartoffeln. Sobald wir fertig waren wurden bereits die Teller weggenommen, der Versuch uns ein überteuertes Dessert anzudrehen war damit auch gescheitert. Ich persönlich fand es auch ziemlich alte Schule die Rechnung direkt zum Mann zu legen statt sie neutral auf den Tisch zu stellen. Habe sie dann provokant an mich genommen, woraufhin der Kellner ziemlich verwirrt dreinschaute. Ja, auch Frauen können bezahlen. Fazit: Schlechtes Essen, schlechter Service, und überteuert. - Nein, danke.

Das Essen war nicht richtig warm.Der kellner der uns bediente war unfreundlich und kurz ab.Die Preise für die Speisen sind überteuert und der Sache nicht gerecht. Für mich und meiner Familie war es das letzte Mal das wir dort Essen wären.

Tolles & modernes Ambiente, super Service (an dieser Stelle sei Sam besonders hervorzuheben), erstklassige Speisen und Weine. Mit ein bisschen Glück, trifft man an Spieltagen auch auf aktive und/oder ehemalige Spieler des BvB. Tolles Restaurant. Offene, helle Location.

Die Speisen kommen bieder und langweilig auf den Tisch. Das Beste zuerst: 8 Oliven und ein Löffel Kräuterquark und drei Scheiben trockenes Brot als Entree - na ja, jede Pizzeria macht besseres Brot - der Knüller: Eine Karte, versteckt hinter dem Essig und Olivenöl verrät: Ab sofort ist diese kleine Aufmerksamkeit kostenpflichtig, 1,5 € pro Person. Wenn man es nicht haben will, soll man es vorher abbestellen - hä? Das kommt angesichts des Gesamtpreises von 180 € für 2 Personen lächerlich daher. Das Personal macht aber auch nicht vorab darauf aufmerksam. Kommen wir zu den (viel zu teuren Vorspeisen). Vitello Tonato - hauchdünn geschnittenes Kalbfleisch mit einer Creme und winzigen Kapern - na ja, für knapp 18€ ... kein Knüller - der Pep fehlte. Auf der anderen Seite Steinpilze auf einem Salatbett - das war wirklich lecker, auch wenn es 20€ kostete - angemessen ist etwas anderes. Die Hauptspeisen: Doradenfilet gegrillt - mit Bratkartoffeln (lieblos auf den Teller geknallt) - einen Schönheitspreis bekommt der Koch dafür nicht, der Fisch war ok, das Gegrillte haben wir trotzdem vermisst .Auf der anderen Seite Gamperoni Pep - 5 Gambas und drei verlorene Häufchen Kartoffelpüree. Die Gambas haben trotz Schale am Ende und mit Kopf klar den Garpunkt verfehlt - lagen auf einer undefinierbaren Sauce, angedickt mit irgendetwas - geschmacklich eine klare 6 (deutscher Zensurenspiegel). Keine Zitrone, kein Salz, keine Würze des Pürees - schade. Die Salate waren "veressigt" - nahezu ungeniessbar - kamen Gott sei Dank in einem kleinen Schälchen gesondert daher - sonst hätten wir das Essen sofort zurück gegeben. Getränke (30 € für zwei mal 0,1 l Sekt, Flasche Wasser 8,00 € - das sind Preise für Spitzengastronomie oder für Fussballer, denen Geld egal ist. Den Nachtisch haben wir dann mal weggelassen - ein 25. Hochzeitstag, der leider mit dem Abendessen nicht so feierlich daher kam. Wir werden das wohl in einem anderen Lokal nachholen müssen. . Ach so, da war doch etwas: Der Kellner hat die Bestellung geistig aufgenommen (5 Tische waren besetzt für 2 Kellner) , kam nach 10 min wider und sagte noch einmal nach, was wir bestellen wollten. Puh, das war es aber jetzt . Klare Empfehlung; Leute, sucht euch etwas anderes -wir Dortmunder haben etwas Besseres verdient

Service und Essen waren gut. Auch als mein Steak noch nicht optimal für mich gebraten war,wurde es nochmal in die Pfanne geworfen und auch nett serviert zurückgebracht. Preislich alles natürlich etwas höher angesiedelt. Das Ambiente ist auch wirklich gut gestaltet,wenn man es etwas moderner mag. Einziges Manko war die Wartezeit von 50 Minuten,obwohl der Laden ziemlich leer war.
