Not recommended. We went there spontaneously today. The food tastes good, yes, but the portions are far too small. The waiter was rushing around, even though it really wasn't busy. Drinks were slammed down on the table, right over the guests; apparently, walking around the table was too much trouble. Guests who arrived after us were told that only pizza was available, otherwise it would take too long. We won't be back.

The service was terrible and unfriendly. Unfortunately, we didn't get what we ordered, and the portions were ridiculously small for the price :( He gave us a funny look because we didn't want ham cubes in our carbonara. Never again!!!!!

Definitely not recommended! We only drank an espresso while standing; we didn't eat anything there. The espresso came from a small, cheap machine, even though there was a proper portafilter machine next to it. They also poured us water from a bottle and charged us for it. Normally, you get a free glass of tap water with your espresso. Conclusion: One of the worst, but also most expensive, espressos we've ever had at an Italian restaurant. Incidentally, the place was empty, just like the name of the town...

Disappointing and unfortunately not recommended We had reserved a table at L'Osteria in Leer (East Frisia) – specifically with a view of the harbor, which was the main reason for our visit. Despite having made a reservation, we were told on the spot that this was "not possible," allegedly on the instructions of the chef. A comprehensible explanation was never forthcoming. The next shock came with the meal: We ordered Parmesan cheese with our pasta dish – it was clearly moldy. When we called the chef, he showed no apology or understanding, but reacted rather coldly. During our stay, we observed that the chef repeatedly loudly addressed the staff in a foreign language, which created a very unpleasant atmosphere. I would like to highlight a service employee who, despite the tense atmosphere, remained friendly and smiling throughout – she deserves recognition. Unfortunately, this is not enough to offset the overall very negative impression. One thing is for sure: We will not be returning.

I had dinner with my wife on my wedding anniversary. We received very friendly and welcoming service. The service was very warm and friendly. The food was delicious. Everything was clean and tidy, and the tables were set with great care. I can only recommend it. Thumbs up! 👍

My husband and I arrived at the restaurant at 4:50 p.m. and were greeted by a waiter—or rather, the manager?—with "Cucina 5 p.m." Okay, we're happy to wait 10 minutes. My husband ordered a draft beer. We were told the tap was broken. Okay, I ordered a Köstritzer Schwarzbier from the bottle, and I ordered an Aqua Panna. The waiter had to be shown this on the menu because he couldn't understand us. His language was a mixture of English, German, and unintelligible material. He didn't understand Italian either. My husband was then served a Warsteiner Pils from the bottle, non-alcoholic. He said there was nothing else available. For dinner, we both ordered Tagliatelle ai Funghi Porcini, which was supposed to include tagliatelle, porcini mushrooms, garlic, tomatoes, and Parma ham. The food arrived quickly. The pasta was in an indefinably pink sauce, with a few pieces of canned porcini mushrooms, quite wobbly, and a few birch mushrooms. Everything was too salty. There were other unidentifiable ingredients in the sauce. We asked the waitress again if the tap was actually broken, which she denied, but there was no beer. Another employee left and came back with a pack of beer bottles. She showed another guest, who had also ordered Köstritzer dark, a bottle of Schöfferhofer Weizen beer light and asked if that would work. My husband wanted to pay the bill with a card, but it didn't work. So we paid in cash. What is this? A money laundering operation, a rip-off shop because most of the customers are tourists anyway? We live nearby. We won't be seeing this shop again. Giving it one star is too much.

We had Bruschetta to start with. In a lot of places the tomato salad comes right out of the fridge on to the bread, but here it was fresh and seasoned well. We tried the Spaghetti Alio-Olio and the Pizza Vegetariana. The Pasta was good, the pizza even better. The veggies on the Pasta were smoked to a perfection. We also tried the Tiramisu and it was out of this world. It was definitely worth a visit and would love to visit again.

The food was okay—the service and ambiance weren't. It took a long time, with repeated delays, before we could even place our order. And in the relatively long time until our food arrived, we observed two hectic servers (manager, young employee) who repeatedly, sometimes loudly, passed their responsibilities back and forth without carrying out their orders. There was no music playing either, so the lack of confidence and hecticness was particularly noticeable. The young server kept running from the tables to the kitchen and back, even though the restaurant was only about a third full, which increased the restlessness. The "manager" understood very little German and, probably for this reason, rudely took back a dish that had been delivered incorrectly to a neighboring table without apologizing. Conclusion: The food was okay, but the surroundings were unwelcoming and didn't create a comfortable atmosphere for a guest. We were relieved to be able to leave after the meal...

Fantastic pizza in the heart of Leer's old town. Even at lunchtime during the holidays, it was no problem getting a table right away. The prices are actually fair, and the service is super fast. The decor is a bit more rustic, but it exudes a wonderful charm. The staff speak Italian among themselves, which further enhances the atmosphere. I'll be happy to come back.

I was at Restaurant Kurt and I was absolutely thrilled! The service was really friendly, attentive, and professional; I immediately felt at home. The food was simply delicious, fresh, well-seasoned, and lovingly prepared. I can definitely recommend the restaurant and would love to come back! And the staff are really friendly and welcoming.

I've been there a few times now, and each time it's been really good. The food tastes great, is fresh, and you can tell the kitchen puts in the effort. Whether it's a hot dish or an appetizer, everything is delicious and arrived piping hot. The drinks came quickly, everything was well chilled, and there was a wide selection. You don't have to wait forever, and if you need anything, they ask right away. The staff are really friendly. You're greeted without it seeming fake, and everyone is attentive. They regularly ask if everything's okay or if you'd like anything else, but without making you feel disturbed. You can tell they care. The shop itself is clean and cozy. You feel comfortable whether you're sitting inside or outside. I've left satisfied every time. Everything was just perfect, the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, a bitter disappointment – ​​absolutely not recommended. Six of us went to L'Osteria Apulien in Leer and had reserved a table in advance. The evening started off pleasantly – we were able to sit outside, the weather was nice. But what followed was, unfortunately, anything but satisfactory. The drinks order came promptly, but then the service was over. The glasses were empty quickly, which is understandable given the temperatures – but no one came by to ask for more drinks. We had to actively point out that our glasses had been empty for a long time. The food then took an extremely long time to arrive: The first dish arrived after about 1 hour and 20 minutes, but without any side dishes. The next two dishes arrived about ten minutes later – also without any side dishes. The next dish followed another ten minutes later – also without any side dishes. (The other side dishes were still missing) After waiting for over 30 minutes for the missing side dishes and with no hope of improvement, we lost patience, paid, and left the restaurant – without a full meal being served. The staff were unfriendly and completely disinterested. Other guests at the restaurant also had similar problems: The neighboring table received food, but no cutlery – which only arrived after asking again, ten minutes later. Conclusion: The service was a disaster. Unfortunately, I can't judge whether the food was good – I didn't get any. For me: 0 out of 5 stars. This was my first and last visit.

We've almost always been very satisfied. If Mama Mia's is closed on Mondays, you can go there. It's okay. You get good food for your money. The prices are reasonable, too.

Once and never again! My husband and I spontaneously went there for dinner yesterday. There were only three tables occupied when we arrived, which was probably not unusual for a Tuesday, but the waiter seemed very stressed. The food we ordered arrived very quickly. A very sparsely topped funghi pizza with three fresh mushrooms, which hadn't seen any seasoning and therefore tasted bland. And for me, the lasagna was a bit bigger than a slice of sheet cake, but it tasted good. The size was enough for me since I have a smaller stomach; for my husband, it would have only been half a portion. Unfortunately, we forgot to take pictures. The drinks we ordered, an Alster and a red wine, were still a long time coming. I had pointed this out to the nice waitress when she brought the food, but they didn't arrive until we were almost finished eating. When I asked the waiter how it was possible that the chef finished the food faster than he brought the drinks, he didn't understand at all. After the second attempt, I asked if he didn't speak German. He responded with a very annoyed "Sorry," and hurried away. The Alster my husband ordered was, in his opinion, a regular beer, and he then asked the waiter about it, who, in a completely unfriendly manner, insisted it was an Alster. He pointed to the bottom of the glass and slammed it back down on the table. A little later, he ran up with the Sprite bottle and poured more into the glass, saying quite cheekily, almost aggressively, "So, now Alster!" When the waitress brought the bill, the very unfriendly waiter came running after him, pointed at the bill, and said, "No Alster, no Alster!" and then took the half-drunk glass back with him. Not charging for the Alster would have been a nice gesture of apology, but it was very cheeky to simply take the glass away! Unfortunately, I had rounded up the bill beforehand. Had I known he'd take it away, I obviously wouldn't have done that. We've never been treated so unfriendly before. Next time, we'll go back to Mamma Mia, a little further away. By the way, if you're looking for the restrooms there, always follow your nose! I'm curious to see if the owner will delete this post...that's usually what happens when you can't handle criticism.

Went to the Osteria last night, had tagliatelle with olive oil, parmesan, parma ham, but left it out, garlic and tomatoes, porcini mushrooms, got tagliatelle in a tomato sauce and "drowned" porcini mushrooms. It really didn't taste good 🥴The service person was nice, wanted to swap it, but I didn't trust the kitchen to do it again Preparing it. It was technically bad!!! The medallion, champion sauce, fries, salad and vegetables were just fine. I barely ate from my plate, cashed in full, no compensation, espresso, dessert or anything like that... It's a shame, that would have made me a little more lenient!!!!! I wish your restaurant a lot of skill and a good cook for the future 🍀🍀🍀🍀

We were there spontaneously on Saturday evening. Lots of free seats on a Saturday evening. Ambience great. The meal only consisted of bruschetta. Drinks according to menu. At the end we were politely asked to leave. Before and during this, employees and owners ate and had eaten themselves. The cash register now closed and we were asked to pay in cash because the cash register was now closed in our presence. A no go! The portion is 4 small pieces of bread without any charm. We were there for the first but also the last time. In my opinion, that's not how you treat guests!!

We were here to eat and spontaneously got a table for 7 people. The waiter was nice, but seemed stressed. Everyone, except my sister-in-law, ordered a pizza, which was also delicious. My sister-in-law ordered the mixed salad with chicken breast fillet. However, the result was sobering: 5 small pieces of chicken, on a carelessly prepared iceberg lettuce with very, very few rocket strips, without dressing. Above and below the green lettuce were 4 tomato quarters and 4 slices of green cucumber, without dressing. This was brought separately in a sauce bowl and was obviously a ready-made dressing. My sister-in-law had the salad returned and stated that it was inedible and that it would be a disgrace to offer such a salad in an Italian restaurant for 13.90 euros. She hasn't eaten anything except for a fishy-tasting tomato. We tried to explain that they might have expected a few more olives, carrots or something similar, but without any understanding. The cook then came out of the kitchen and asked about the problem after the salad was actually on the bill...no insight, it was on the menu (mixed salad with chicken breast), then we should have read better! No apology, no insight, the full price had to be paid. Never again!

Very well eaten with a great wine. Grappa at its best, very friendly service. This is how I imagine a good Italian restaurant, the pasta is fresh and hot. The attentive, friendly Syrian employee wasn't Italian at all 🤓... that's how diversity works, everything was great! Highly recommended, gladly again🙏

Hello! From Argentina (we are staying in Groningen) we arrived in Leer, we looked for a good place to have lunch and we had a great time here, excellent food and service. Super recommended.

The pizzas were okay, although the Mozerella pizza lacked spices and was a bit tasteless. Unfortunately the service is not very good, we had to wait over 50 minutes for our order of two pizzas. The man, who I assume was the boss, wasn't particularly friendly. The other waitress was nice though.

We ate delicious pizzas, delicious red wine, the bruschettas were deliciously crispy and baked with a delicious fresh (vegetarian) topping (zucchini/eggplant/olives). Boris our dog was also welcome. Smooth service by a nice Italian gentleman. Definitely recommended, this pizzeria. The only downside I found was the furnishings; a bit dark/gloomy/not very cozy. But perhaps this is a matter of personal taste. By the way, there was a candle on the table.

We came here spontaneously and had lunch. The friendly service took us to our table and brought us the cards. After we had ordered drinks and food, we received a small basket with bread and dips as a greeting from the kitchen. Then our fresh and hot food arrived. This was very tasty and we were well full thanks to the large enough portion. Really recommended and we would love to come back 👍🏻

We were placed in the empty, cold winter garden. The tables in the front area were not all occupied. A waiter took our order, although he had difficulty understanding which salad meant chicken and Italian dressing. You had to point your finger at the corresponding location on the map several times. We also ordered a pizza. Then we started waiting. After a while the drinks came and we were in the queue again. Another waiter came and wanted to take our order again. When we replied that we had already ordered, he rolled his eyes and rudely apologized for asking. We continued to wait, an unusually long time. Then the salad we ordered came for 12.90. What a disgrace! Without dressing, a few tomato quarters framed iceberg arugula salad "decorated" with six cucumber slices, onion rings and a few small pieces of chicken. A side salad would have been better. When we asked for the dressing we were given a dingy rack with a bottle of vinegar and oil, as well as pepper and salt. My pizza arrived just as my friend finished his salad. Conclusion - never again!

It was the first and last time there. Very unfriendly waiter. He hardly spoke any German. We were there with several people and all but one of us didn't get enough. The food was really a joke. When we paid, he threw the receipt on the table and we had to calculate for ourselves what we each had to pay individually.

We were here for the first time. The waiting time between ordering and being able to eat was clearly too long. There was one daily recommendation: sole. We ordered a portion for 2 people. The fish was served hot on a large wooden board and the waiter wanted to fillet it. He did a good job, but first he had to get 2 cold plates, then some cutlery for filleting and another lemon, since the potion for 2 only included one lemon. So we only got the fillet lukewarm. Add one and a half potatoes in small pieces (well seasoned and hot), as well as a small dollop of spinach in a separate bowl. First there was a small slice of bruschetta. Oh yes and some salad with 2 cucumber slices and 2 quarter tomatoes. The way it went, we'll never come back.

Typical Italian restaurant with an excellent menu. Food was ready quickly & fresh! We sat at the back of the conservatory. Looking at the water. The lighting there in the restaurant is less attractive. Older gentleman serving was a bit blunt and agitated. You could say unfriendly. So don't come there again. Lost my respect! Shame! Toilet (in the basement, nice maze) is difficult to reach for people with a physical disability. -/- Biggest negative. You can only pay with cash (bar money) Dear people, it is the end of 2024. Then you simply let your customers pay by debit card. What a disgrace! Once again food is fine!

We reserved a table for 6 people on a Friday evening. The restaurant was very busy. The drinks were served fairly quickly, but we waited until 8:48 p.m. for our food after threatening to leave the restaurant 15 minutes beforehand. Overall the food was ok, only my calzone pizza was below average. Conclusion: This first visit was also the last.

For me the best place if you want to eat Italian in Leer. In the winter garden you have a beautiful view of the harbor. The service is attentive but not intrusive and knows the food. Great quality food

We were spontaneously in Leer for the first time and stopped there because we were in the mood for Italian cuisine. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a table straight away. We were given the menu and, on a board, the recommendations of the day that we chose. My wife had tagliatelle with parmesan and fresh truffles and I had tagliatelle with scampi and orange sauce. Both dishes were incredibly tasty; we haven't eaten so well in a long time. If we are in Leer again, we would be happy to come back.

We were there for lunch this afternoon with our dog girl. We were warmly welcomed and our girl was immediately given a pot of water. Then there was a very good red wine and tagliatelle with crab for my wife and I took Saltimbocca. Everything came to the table fresh and hot and we were more than full and it tasted great. The staff was very friendly and we had a wonderful time in this restaurant.

Cozy Italian restaurant in downtown Leer. Great appetizer plate, we've never had one so good! Main course both tagliatelle (1x with salmon, 1x with porcini mushrooms/ham) also very tasty! Starters and main courses are very attractively prepared, portions are large. Unfortunately we couldn't eat any more bedside food because we were already too full. Prices absolutely reasonable. Service very attentive and friendly! Unfortunately we are only on a short vacation in Leer, otherwise we would definitely come back!
