The food was very tasty, but I thought the portion was a bit small. We had to wait 15 to 20 minutes at the counter before we could be seated. It has a cozy atmosphere and the staff is very friendly

We had reserved a table for five people for Sunday 18. There was no salad at all, the used cheese for the Pizza Forza was only enough for one of the two pizzas ordered, and of the three desserts ordered, spaghetti ice cream, panna cotta and tartufo, only tartufo was there. You almost had to look for the asparagus on the May pizza Pizza Asparagi. The service was partly friendly, but partly seemed overwhelmed. Unfortunately that was disappointing...

Very relaxed atmosphere and the prices are quite reasonable for the portions. :-)

The pizza is big and ok for its price. What brothers me is the way the waitresses arrived with a phone where I should pick option of his many percents tip I would give. Tip is a choice and I should not feel uncomfortable or forced to give some.

*** UPDATE 04/25/2025 *** The company is trying extremely hard to clarify the issue with my incorrect invoice. The sheer number of questions/answers sent back and forth between us proves that customer concerns are taken seriously here. The food was already A1, but now I have raised my overall rating to 5 stars for the 1 star customer service. My experience: The two of us had a large pizza (half each). Then carbonara and three drinks. The cost was 60 euros. Unfortunately we paid in a hurry and didn't think about it until later because it couldn't fit. Mistakes happen, it's just a shame that this mistake cost money 😒. The food tasted very good!

firsly and most importantly, the food was really good, although the food I ordered was a bit over-salted. the pasta was al dente, the sauce was creamy and overall it was an enjoyable experience. furthermore, the view was really nice, as you could see the Rhine (depending where you were seated). however, the service wasn't anything extraordinary or remarkable and the place was super crowded.

We spontaneously met here before an event in Gürzenich. The food was good, not great. The prices were not cheap, but reasonable for downtown Cologne. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was ok for a chain.

We were there for dinner yesterday and had to wait 10 minutes for our table. It went like this. We were then taken to our table and looked at the menu, then ordered and the food came quite quickly! We all enjoyed it and the atmosphere was really nice!

A L'Osteria like any other. Accordingly delicious pizzas and pasta. Thursday evening very crowded and loud. Apart from that, nice, multilingual and very fast service. Toilets clean, unfortunately once again only thin toilet paper.

The pizza was quite delicious, but unfortunately I originally ordered risotto, but what came was spaghetti bolognese, so I had to eat it because I didn’t want to waste my meal. I can only say that Bolognese is a meal that I would not order. It’s not that the food is not delicious.

on April 13th, 2025, we were in your restaurant at 6:30 p.m. We regret to inform you that our visit was anything but satisfactory While my friend's food was served in normal time, I had to wait an incredible 39 minutes for my pizza. Only after another waiter noticed that I hadn't received my food yet did he speak to me and ask if I had ordered a pizza. I said yes, whereupon he wanted to see if she was ready At this point, about ten other guests who had come after us had already received their pizzas - and some had already eaten them. Finally I was informed that my pizza would be served in about 2 minutes. Apparently my order was mixed up and given to someone else When the pizza finally came, it was so extremely hot that I had to wait another 10 minutes before I could even eat it. What made the situation even more awkward was that my boyfriend intentionally didn't start eating so he could eat with me, which created a very awkward atmosphere. In addition, when his food was served, the bread that normally came with it was forgotten. It took about 15 minutes for it to be delivered. He also ordered another drink later, but it was completely forgotten. It wasn't until I was on my last slice of pizza that the staff remembered that the drink was still pending - and only then brought it to him. The least we could have done would have been to apologize or, for example, offer us a dessert or a drink to make up for it - but nothing of the sort happened We were very disappointed with this experience as we actually enjoy eating at your place. However, such behavior is in no way what one should expect from a good service We hope that you will address this incident internally and rethink your procedures accordingly so that other guests are spared something like this in the future

We ordered risotto, pasta, pizza and lasagna. The pasta was disgusting, the rice was overcooked and stuck together, but the inside was crunchy.

There were five of us at L Osteria and we were able to reserve a table online without any problem. Even though it was fully booked, the conditions were prompt and friendly. Pizza was great, the maccaroncini with grilled vegetables had very few vegetables.

Absolutely unfriendly service. Lots of free tables on Saturday, reservations were possible online immediately, turned away at the entrance, you had to wait 30-45 minutes. When we were told about the possibility of making online reservations and the number of free tables, people got rude and said “you could go somewhere else”. Outrageous!

We were initially denied entry and simply put a stool there and said there was no entrance here, you could have said something more kindly! Food was okay, service was very friendly, but music was too loud to have a conversation.

Normally we always like to eat here because the atmosphere and service is always pleasant, but today something was going on because we waited almost 40 minutes for our two pizzas... it was a beautiful day but because of the long wait we missed a lot of the sun. Too bad...

Not recommended, left after 40 minutes of waiting for pizza, pasta. Staff very unfriendly when we dared to ask. Better go somewhere else.

This restaurant was one we have been visiting for years. Today we went there again, but the taste wasn't even close to what it used to be. An extremely dry, inedible pizza. A beer that doesn't taste anything like it used to. And don't forget that prices are increased periodically. If you increase prices, the reason should be to maintain the same taste and quality. Both together – price increase and loss of quality – are not possible. Today we were there for the last time.

Not haute cuisine but tasty, service friendly and fast, nice atmosphere

Pizza contents are much lesser than other L'Osterias. E.g. I ate a couple of times in Düsseldorf L'Osteria. The same pizzas had more than double toppings and much more delicious. Not recommended (this L'Osteria, not others)

After a long day at Koelnmesse, we had a wonderful dinner at this location. Each of us ordered the crayfish pasta after a round of Aperol spritzes with mango and passion fruit. The server was very kind and attentive. He even provided us tap water, which doesn't happen often enough in Cologne, where the tap water is healthy and safe to drink, and is more sustainable and environment-friendly than bottled water. After dinner, we had a very generous helping of tiramisu. We will come again during our next visit (We will never again visit the location next to Koelnmesse - that was a stressful, disrespectful disaster).

Super friendly welcome and very nice atmosphere! The drinks and food came very quickly. Everything tasted great and any special requests will of course be taken into account :)) Great management and service! Gladly again!

Top service!! I haven't been treated so well in a long time. Fast service and friendly handling. The food was also great and the place we sat at was quite quiet, making it perfect for a Saturday lunch. :) Gladly again soon!

The food was bland, without spices and without any taste. I had the calzone but it wasn't good at all, despite the high price of €16..! Never again...

Food and wine were bad very bad . Tasteless and wine tasted more like aerated drink .there is nothing called hospitality

**Updated after one month Losteria didn't respond via email even though they asked me to under this post and then deleted it** 2 mistakes in 2 visits On one date, they really did everything in their power to mess it up, absolutely everything. After we ordered, our food was served 15 minutes later. Great, but unfortunately everything was wrong, so they took it away, and we had to wait a good 60 minutes for our food. After we'd had enough, we got up and wanted to leave. The lady insisted that we pay and wait anyway; apparently, we were born to wait there. After a total of 90 minutes of waiting, we were given the full bill and half a free tiramisu for two non-alcoholics. So, you couldn't have gone any further wrong. Unfortunately, there were mistakes like this on previous visits, and *every* time the bill was wrong. Adding larger drinks instead of smaller ones can still be considered a typo. Therefore, I recommend not only avoiding L'Osteria but also checking your own bills. The emails and complaints were never responded to. Just ignored.

The food was delicious and the service was really courteous, friendly and in a good mood. Unfortunately it was very loud. Because of the loud music, everyone has to talk louder. Normal conversation is almost impossible.

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The welcome was unfriendly and emotionless, which left a negative impression right from the start. It took a long time before we could even place our order. For lunch we had to wait a whopping 30 minutes for the food. The service also left a lot to be desired: There was no eye contact with the guests, which made the whole thing even more impersonal. A salad we ordered wasn't served, and we didn't receive a spoon with our pasta - something like that should actually be a given. Another point of criticism is the toilet. The women's toilet was in a pretty poor condition - the yellowed toilet seat and the clogged sink didn't make a good impression. Despite all these shortcomings, the food was very tasty, but due to the poor service and hygienic deficiencies, we unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

As usual, good food and very friendly and fast service. This restaurant is also typically noisy, just like L'Osteria, but that's part of the concept and we always like to come here.

The food was good and the portion was ok. In terms of price, the restaurant is on a higher level, but still absolutely feasible (of course you also pay for the location). I was missing a little something with the bread (herb butter or something similar). The glass I received was dirty and really a bit worn. The toilets are clean and completely ok. The atmosphere feels cozy and it's easy to sit there and watch people. The espresso was very good.

Pizza was very tasty. Unfortunately, ordering took quite a long time. You also had to actively look for a waiter to order something to drink. Otherwise it was nice.

We ate a pizza and a salad. The size of the pizza is impressive. But why aren't there pizza plates the same size as pizza? The paper base also doesn't help cut the pizza in a "free-floating" way. I also find it unhygienic when the overhanging pizza is served on the waiter's arm. The salad with gambaretti and avocado wasn't worth the money. It was a mix of lettuce with 5 small gambarettini, 6 quarter pieces of cocktail tomatoes and half an avocado. I expected more for the price. In addition, the salad was initially forgotten when ordering and only arrived after I was reminded. My husband has almost finished his pizza at this point. Years ago we were in a L'Osteria where we were dissatisfied. I had to convince my husband to go to L'Osteria with me again. We will not be making another visit. We are more impressed with (almost) every classic pizzeria. And the beer price (0.3 l kölsch for €4.50) is huge...

The service is always excellent. The waiters are very friendly. delicious pizza and pleasant atmosphere. We always go here with friends when we are in the center.

Despite the carnival (state of emergency🤡), the service was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately the pizza wasn't quite warm anymore. All in all, the visit was very pleasant and the food was delicious.

As always, very tasty, even if the blobs of 'Nduja calabrese have become very small for months now (it would be nice if you were a little generous with them, or topped like before...). Very crowded at carnival time, which is why it's a bit crowded, but the staff is still friendly and professional as always.

The ladies in service were very nice and friendly. The food was nothing special, but completely okay. However, one thing was a bit unpleasant: A gentleman in service - with a very neutral demeanor - brought us the food. A side salad was forgotten. Apparently also in the kitchen. When asked, the gentleman fetched it himself from the kitchen and reached into the salad with his bare hand to put it in the bowl to mix with the dressing and then put it in the dishes. Since he had previously worked in service, from our point of view it was anything but hygienic. This should be done differently in general, but especially if the kitchen is open to view.

Was there on a Friday evening during full operating hours. We were served by a new employee who was very helpful and friendly. He often asked if everything was okay. I will definitely eat there more often

Went here today with the family. As always, everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. The staff is on the ball and very friendly.

They usually close the kitchen before 9:30 p.m. for everything other than pizzas, which is not reported in the published hours. After ordering a salad that is on their menu at 9:28 p.m., they tell me that it can't be done. After leaving the place, I noticed that one of the waiters with big curly hair was making fun of me, as if he couldn't see himself through the glass...

Title: Disappointing Experience My last experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing and unfortunately did not live up to my expectations. The service was extremely poor, which made the entire visit very unpleasant. After what felt like an eternity of waiting for my order, which was just a plain Coke, I was already frustrated. But the disappointment didn't stop there. When I finally received my order, I had to wait another long time to get the invoice. It was just very unsatisfactory and really spoiled my visit. Very nice staff, good service, the food was very tasty. We had pizza and salad, as well as panna cotta, all very tasty. We felt completely comfortable, I can really recommend it!

The place is very beautiful. You can easily come with your family. The food is quite delicious. I recommend you definitely try the tomato soup. Prices are reasonable compared to other Italian restaurants. We paid more money at another Italian restaurant and ate worse food. I recommend this place

Had such a great time here yesterday! The service was top-notch—super friendly and attentive without being over the top. You can really tell the staff and management put a lot of effort into making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The food was very good—fresh, flavorful, and just what you'd hope for from a good Italian spot. Everything we tried was delicious, and you can tell they care about quality. Overall, it’s just a great place with a nice vibe, good food, and attentive service. Definitely coming back soon!

Unfriendly staff and strange smelling food

Pizza and pasta OK We were missing food that we can usually find at Italian restaurants, such as Pasta de la Mare.

It is quite loud and on busy days the staff reaches their limits but they always give their all

We went to this restaurant for the first time on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Unfortunately the experience wasn't good at all! The organization of the restaurant is completely inadequate. Most of the tables were occupied and there was only one female server for the entire service. We were finally able to order our drinks after 30 minutes and it took another 15 minutes for them to be brought. Afterwards we had to wait about 20 minutes to order our food even though everyone in our group was hungry. I ordered an appetizer and when I got it I asked for bread more than 10 times. To be honest, I don't want to continue writing this bad story!!! I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

During my visit to L'Osteria on Münsterstrasse, I tried a selection of dishes that left a mixed impression. The lasagna impressed with its crispy baked cheese, which didn't seem dry, and a tasty sauce. One small point of criticism: the minced meat was ground too finely, which took away some of the dynamism from the texture. The "Conchiglie di Fiume" which we also ordered was a pleasant surprise. The noodles absorbed the sauce excellently and presented a successful overall picture. The service is particularly noteworthy: the staff was friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. Even small extra requests were implemented easily - a real plus point for the restaurant. When it came to starters, however, there was still room for improvement. The bruschetta was unconvincing: a thickly sliced, cold bread about two inches thick that was barely seasoned. I would have liked a classic, aromatic preparation here. In addition, the timing of the cuisine should be reconsidered - starters should be served as such and not at the same time as the main courses. Unfortunately, the Pizza Maria with salami was disappointing. Although the pizza dough itself was very tasty, the base was simply too thick, which lacked the lightness and crispiness that you expect from a good pizza. Overall, the food was solid and had some bright spots, but lacked consistency in quality. The service, on the other hand, highlights the experience positively and shows that hospitality is very important here. With more attention to detail in the kitchen, L'Osteria on Münsterstrasse could develop its full potential.

Service was very friendly and accommodating. We were served straight away and the food came very quickly, even though the restaurant was very full. Pizza and pasta were hot and tasted very good. Redeeming the voucher was no problem at all. Unfortunately the tables are very close together, that's the only point that bothered me a bit. Otherwise, a clear recommendation😊.

Only stopped in for a Spaghettieis. €5,5 for something that you can get at the convenience store. No fruit or anything, a bit sad.

We weren't allowed to stay there to eat because our 1-year-old son was sleeping in the stroller and apparently there wasn't room for him. There were currently at least 10 tables free. And we were already at the assigned table. And then we were approached by a young waiter and told to leave. Really outrageous! I will never go there again or recommend it!!!

To reserve: super easy online. Select Date and you will immediately see available times. A reminder email the day before. The service is great. Food came quickly even though it was busy. Our dog was also very welcome.

The food was very good, it really surprised us a lot. The menu has a lot of variety and very interesting dishes. The only bad thing is that when we went it was full of people so it took a long time to pay, but hey, that's the least of it.
