The Rheinterrassen have a truly great location, and the large terrace promises a pleasant experience for many guests. ​The Disappointment (The Service/The System): Unfortunately, the service was a huge disappointment. You have to pay in advance and pick up your food yourself from a chip shop 50 meters away. Even though there are plenty of seats available and they were free (we thought they were prepared to serve larger crowds), we had to wait 45 minutes (or 35 minutes) for our food. This is absolutely unacceptable. The wait in line was far too long and stressful.

Cologne is great. Theater am Tanzbrunnen is nice and manageable. Prices are a bit too high. Parking is €10, fries, bratwurst, or a soft drink are each about €5. If you've already paid €300 for tickets, you'll quickly blow an additional €60...it's cheaper...

Was here for a company meeting. Venue was ok, great view, staff was friendly. My only issue is that chatter from a back room was very distracting... perhaps back room staff should be aware when they're is an event going on and keep the noise level down.

€18 for three cold and very mild cappuccinos and a bottle of water. I complained and got a shot of espresso. But that doesn't change the quality. For €3.70, customers should expect more. One of the waiters was completely out of sorts. It's a shame, I used to like coming here. This is the last time. Better go to the ice cream man in the cart 100 meters away. It's definitely better and cheaper there.

Beautiful view of the Rhine and the cathedral. But that was about it. Incredibly crowded, the beer was completely watered down, and you had to wait over 40 minutes for a beer.

The perfect spot to enjoy a cold glass of rosé in the sunshine, with a fantastic view of the city. We initially wanted to go to the city beach next door, but there was an entrance fee and the view was of the sidewalk instead of directly on the water. We ended up here, and we were so glad we did!

Great place with a lovely view on the water and big church of Köln. You can have some great rosé here. Weirdly enough, it was not crowded here on a sunny day. Would recommend!

The bar needs a better concept. The location is fantastic, but the owner needs to learn how we drink Kölsch and serve us accordingly. The concept isn't feasible as it is.

The currywurst is worth the money

The view is sensational. At 30°C, all the parasols were closed. The reason: too strong a wind – which wasn't there. I waited over 30 minutes for my fries – the waiter couldn't find the table. They were only delivered after I asked again.

We ordered vegan carpaccio... Some of the ingredients were, to say the least, simply not fresh. The guy who brought the dish seemed to have no background in the food industry at all and never eats himself, as he doesn't even understand what fresh food should look like. The coffee wasn't hot... Instead of enjoying the visit, we got a bad mood and wasted money. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!! Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a photo of the dish as 200% proof, as I've never left reviews online. If you want to be sure, go ahead!!!)

The location directly on the Rhine is truly beautiful and invites you to linger. Unfortunately, there's no table service in this appealing ambiance, which I find a bit of a shame for such a busy place. I would still recommend the Rhine Terrace – but more for shorter stays of less than an hour, as the upper deck can be a bit noisy, especially since it's often rented out. The staff was friendly, and overall, there's little to complain about.

The food at the Pinzza was a disaster and completely overpriced! The staff, with one exception, were very friendly and the atmosphere was simply lovely.

Highly recommended...just down the stairs and you can go straight to the beach club! And right on the Rhine!

A beautiful place with a wonderful view! Unfortunately, most of the seats are reserved for beer benches, making it very uncomfortable. The waiters are friendly and attentive, but it seems rather forced! What was truly disappointing was the currywurst. The price for six euros was the currywurst in a jar, four pieces of sausage drowned in gravy! Unfortunately, it didn't come with a roll as advertised, but with homemade bread, which looked like lemon cake and didn't taste good either. After a complaint, we at least got a free beer.

The waitress, the blonde with the cap on the terrace, is such a dumb ass, sorry, the worst waitress I've ever had to meet.

Aperitif with good DJs. But an espresso martini that tastes like a bad Cuba Libre for €10.50 in a plastic cup is a disgrace. Also, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water are €7 more expensive than seven wine spritzers individually… Prices should be reconsidered. A shame.

For me, Rheinterrasse is the perfect place for events, concerts, parties. Located directly on the Rhine, it offers not only a space for fun, but also unforgettable views. During the day it is beautiful, but in the evening it becomes truly magical - the view of the cathedral is breathtaking. The food is very tasty, and the Kölsch beer tastes delicious, especially when you drink it in such beautiful surroundings. In addition, fantastic service, which takes care of every detail. What more could you want?

Very friendly staff, a very nice beer garden when the weather is nice

We went to the Maaren inn for the slaughter festival and were absolutely thrilled! The interior is a successful combination of cozy and modern, which creates a great atmosphere. The service staff was extremely friendly and attentive - you really feel welcome here as a guest. The dishes were excellent across the board, with first-class ingredients and perfect preparation. You can taste the quality and attention to detail. An all-round successful experience – absolutely recommended! We'll definitely be back!

Nice location, great food but unfriendly staff. Wine for €6.80 is served with ice. If you want it without ice, you simply pour the ice out of the glass and then look at it strangely. Ambiance and food is great. There could be a little more choice.

The beer garden offers a great view of Cologne and the cathedral, which makes the ambience really nice - especially before a concert! Self-service wasn't a problem for us, but unfortunately there weren't enough staff in the food truck, which led to longer waiting times. The food was disappointing as it was given out cold. I got new fries, which wasn't a problem, but when I got back to my table the currywurst was also cold. That's a real shame because I expected more. The salad wasn't particularly appealing and simply wasn't justified for the price. For a drink the beer garden is really nice, but for the food and the greasy fries I would recommend choosing something else.

We were there on the weekend. Nice location. You can order online using a QR code at the table, pay and then your name will be called and you can pick up your order at the counter. It is not served, just cleared away. The prices are completely ok.

Great location, nice atmosphere. High prices are normal there, but 10.90 for a tiny piece of baked haloumi (less than two fingers wide) plus three cherry tomatoes, I was speechless for a moment...

For me the perfect place for events, concerts, parties and beer gardens. During the day but especially in the evening, the view of the cathedral side and the cathedral itself is really magnificent. Celebrate exuberantly with a great service team, what more could you want.

The view is spectacular, but the place doesn't serve everyone and there is no information on that anywhere whatsoever. You must reserve beforehand, though no-one knows how early you should. People without reservation can get in from Riverside, lacks security.

Today we spontaneously went to the Rhine Terraces and spent 20 euros per head in 30 minutes. We were massively annoyed by the disparaging service of a blonde employee who very carelessly prepared an Aperol we ordered for 8.90 with an inappropriate comment and pushed it over the counter. If you don't know which glass to make a drink in and don't have all the ingredients on hand, then you should at least be customer-friendly and try hard. We went on to the Hyatt and can only recommend the quality of the drinks and service here.

You can forget about the meal ticket. Bad service, seems very arrogant, and apparently has no idea about gastronomy. Ordered 2 banana wheat (it felt like the only thing available on the menu)... Lady seemed to be making this for the first time - cobbled together terribly and then asked if we would like straws with it?! Only the view is great. It's a real shame, it used to be a very nice location.

Seldom eaten so badly. First of all, half of the already tiny menu is no longer available and if it is still available, the Krakauer is, for example, the same as the hot dog, where the Krakauer is simply in a bun that is far too dry. Overpriced, just the view is nice. One star for that.

I can only judge the beer garden on the one day I was there! Maybe it's different otherwise. Great, sunny Sunday afternoon with strangely little activity. You get your own drinks at the bar, which is fine. You can view a map at the counter or use a QR code on your cell phone. This is very uncomfortable and perhaps not necessary with such a small card. You sit on uncomfortable beer tent sets, which is acceptable in a beer garden. However, the tables and benches are painted and therefore very sticky if not wiped down. If employees are stressed because the store is buzzing or there is obviously not enough staff, I understand that too. But if there is time to constantly collect the empty glasses (or to have a conversation), you can also take a rag with you. Food is served in a separate booth that is so high that you can hardly see what is there. I would have liked to eat a piece of cake, but for €5.50 I passed it up. In general, I found the prices to be quite high in relation to the comfort factor. The whole design seems careless and sparse. Planted oil drums line a path that you can only guess is the entrance to the restaurant. The fact that so many tables remained unoccupied on this wonderful day and people quickly left can be explained in retrospect. Not least because of the very loud techno sound. If it weren't for the great view, you could be in a campsite restaurant. Sorry.....

We spent very nice and sunny hours here. Even with a view of the cathedral :) It was well attended, but not overcrowded. Self-service, but very, very nice staff behind the counter. Prices are okay for the location and the view. We'd love to come back.

It's definitely a great place to sit, but you're paying for the view with the drinks. You stand in line for drinks for a really long time, it was really annoying. Had a plate of fries, yeah it was ok. Other menus looked pretty good though. If there isn't much going on and you don't have to wait in line for long, it's definitely worth it.

Today we wanted to go to the chillout breakfast with 5 people. When we arrived half an hour before opening, there was already a queue of more than 50 people in front of the closed gate. Once on site, you could see the staff watching people from above the restaurant. Things were a little slow, but after another 20 minutes we arrived at the checkout. We paid 110€ for 5 people, and then found up in the dining room that there was no seat left. There were already several groups of people walking around the back of the table looking for a place and more and more people were pouring in. I can't understand how you can let so many guests in when you don't have the capacity!! For €22 per person I expect a reasonable seat and no bar table or space at the bar. At least we got the money we paid back without much hassle. Since I don't feel like standing in front of locked gates for an hour on a Sunday to have a leisurely breakfast, we won't be coming back again. There was no sign of “chillout” whatsoever. The announced DJ was nowhere to be seen either. It's a shame ☹️

Ein toller, ruhiger und sonniger Ort direkt am Wasser mit bestem Domblick. Die Getränke sind für Selbstbedienung etwas teurer. Mit etwas Glück kann man einen der Strandkörbe ergattern. Leider ohne Halterung für das Getränk, da musste dann das Geländer herhalten. Der Sand wurde durch kleine steine ersetzt, darunter leider die Athmosphäre etwas...

Freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr guter Flammkuchen, tolle Aussicht. Alles bestens 👍

Ich komme hier immer wieder für diverse Veranstaltungen hin und bin jedes Mal begeistert. Klar kommt es auf das Catering an, aber allein die Größe und der Aufbau direkt am Wasser ist jedes Mal wieder beeindruckend. Einfach ne hammer Location.

Eine top location mit Blick über den Rhein auf den Dom. Wir haben hier mit einer geschlossenen Gesellschaft gefeiert. Einfach 👍🏻. Alles passt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir haben uns extra diesen tollen Ort für unser Abendessen ausgesucht. Entsprechend groß war die Enttäuschung, als der Biergarten und der Beach Club trotz Öffnungsankündigung auf der Homepage geschlossen waren. Und das bei bestem Wetter.

Wir haben bei euch am 19.8.23 unsere standesamtliche Hochzeit gefeiert und es war einfach traumhaft! Das anwesende Personal hat sich so viel Mühe gegeben und war stets aufmerksam und zu jeder Zeit super freundlich! Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend und ein großes Lob an Euch!

4 July mit dem Amerikahaus eine schöne Feier erlebt. Guter Service in ansprechendem Ambiente mit gutem Buffet. Der Blick zum Dom mit nichts zu bezahlen.

Rheinterrassen Köln – eine angenehme Kneipe mit schönem Blick auf den Fluss Rhein und die Stadt. Sowohl das Bier – Kölsch als auch der Flammkuchen waren lecker. Es war nötig, die Bestellung an der Bar abzugeben und zu bezahlen. Ich konnte auch mit Handy Kreditkarte bezahlen.
