Except eye contact!!!! (just a moment, we'll be there for you in a moment, would have been enough) • Lots of staff available! • Eye contact present! No reaction!!!!! No communication!!!!! • Upper floor not occupied! • we helped other guests who were impaired get out! After about 13 minutes I alerted a waiter!👍🏻 Someone is coming soon 👍🏻 We ultimately left because it was unprofessional behavior A kind word would have been enough 💕

Surprisingly good and we were not only served friendly but also very personally friendly at the table. Thank you for that

The restaurant looks inviting. There was no free choice of table (even though the restaurant was almost empty) and you were immediately informed that you only had 1.5 hours, which was okay at the beginning, but as new visitors you were still shown to the table half a minute later were given food for thought.

It wasn't just the food that was great. But the very friendly service was particularly pleasant

We were there at 9:30 p.m. and the waitress told us that there wasn't much going on there. And that's why you're calling it a day now. although it was supposed to be open until 11 p.m. I think it's a disgrace that a restaurant chain like this allows itself to do something like that?!

Busy but well organized restaurant. Pizzas are oversized and therefore a little more expensive, but very tasty. Pasta dishes and salads also good. We like to eat here regularly with the family.

Great furnished location. The pictures on the wall are great and there is an acoustic Italian course downstairs. Pizza huge and very tasty. Salad and zucchini noodles ditto. But the dessert Crema di Fragola al Mascarpone is really awesome and only has around 300 cal despite the addition of mascarpone. The waitresses are very charming.

I went out to eat with my family, the food was great, especially the pizza was good because it was thin but big. I recommend pizza with mozzarella and as a drink I would recommend a lemonade.

The pizza is huge! I shared the final pieces with my friends. The only thing that scared me at first was the voice from the loudspeaker in the toilet teaching you Italian. The restaurant is very easy to reach by public transport.

The pizza is great. Incredibly large portion for the approximately 14 euros you pay, the whole family will be fed up with 2 pizzas!😃 If you don't have a problem with a lot of oil, you will find your dream pizza here. The lily water really tastes super refreshing (my wife has always been rather reserved towards you, but the taste convinced her)! Service has always been very pleasant so far. The service goes from the trash can to cutting the pizza, the pizza was cold and the side salad I ordered was brought and I was almost finished eating the pizza. No more!!

The food is great, very very tasty The ambience is rather average, a large hall is quite loud... The staff is friendly and helpful. I didn't think it was great that our reservation was canceled because we were 6 minutes late (we were on time, but had to wait a while at reception...)

The pizzas are awesome. The salads were good with very good dressing. The pasta dishes are tasty. The service was excellent and very, very friendly. Unfortunately, yes unfortunately, I have to make deductions on the subject of ambience. It was carelessly decorated for Christmas and the window fronts are so dirty that it's very unappetizing for a restaurant and therefore not a "showpiece"!

Ordered through Wolt. Food came relatively quickly (30 minutes). It was quite cold when it arrived. Special requests were not taken into account. One pizza without basil and the other without peppers were ignored. After we cleaned the things up ourselves and put them in the oven again, they tasted good. By the way, Wolt didn't say anything about it after I reported it

Food was, as always, quite good. We would have liked to have ordered more drinks, but we were never asked about them. After we mentioned this when paying, the insulted gentleman no longer wanted our tip. Sorry if you spend €16 on a pizza or have €90 on the clock for dinner with your kids, the service just has to be right. And yes, you were understaffed again…….that’s the classic. If you don't have enough staff, the management shouldn't allocate all the tables.

My recent visit to L’Osteria Darmstadt was deeply disappointing. Despite being regular customers for 1.5 years, my friends and I experienced rude and discriminatory behavior from a staff member whose name I do not wish to disclose publicly. He made inappropriate and offensive remarks about our assumed nationality, criticized our decision not to leave a tip (since we weren’t satisfied with the service), and demonstrated a lack of professionalism. Such behavior is unacceptable and made us feel unwelcome. I’ve submitted a formal complaint to the restaurant and hope they take action to prevent such incidents in the future. Thank you for ruining Christmas mood and do not expect to see me or my friends ever again at this place.

We were there in the evening, there were a lot of people and very noisy, but the food was excellent, very tasty pizza and cocktails

Unfortunately the waiting time exceeded 15 minutes. We didn't get the free ice cream that was advertised either. Then let it be better.

We visited the restaurant and were initially very satisfied - the ambience and service seemed promising. But during our stay we noticed a mouse in the guest room. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he explained that the problem was known and an exterminator had already been notified. A few minutes later we saw another mouse, which made us feel increasingly uneasy. For someone like me who suffers from a severe phobia, this was the point at which we wanted to leave the place. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy our coffee or dessert. At the entrance we were charged the full amount despite the unpleasant situation. The only apology was that it was “normal” in Darmstadt. Such a statement is absolutely unacceptable for me as a guest. Mice in restaurants should by no means be viewed as normal – neither in Darmstadt nor elsewhere. This experience was extremely disappointing and I very much hope that quick and lasting measures will be taken to remedy such conditions.

More and more the feeling of mass processing. Everything is very hectic. Ambience okay. Pasta half a plate for 17€ is a joke.

Absolute impudence. Had a reservation for 2:30 p.m. for a larger group. We arrived almost 20 minutes later and were told that he had canceled the reservation and that it was "hard to accommodate us." Everything okay. We found it strange, but apparently the tolerance period is only 15 minutes. Then we had to wait because a table would become available soon. It is important that we get up at 4:30 p.m. We waited and waited. The waiter's attitude was the last thing. When we said that we would just go somewhere else, he just snapped at us and said, “Yes, I’ve already wiped the table.” Bravo. That's your job. Even if we didn't eat there, you would have had to wipe the table. Our only concern is HOW the situation was handled.

Unfortunately, my experience at the restaurant was anything but positive. I had a reservation for 6:30 p.m., but upon arrival I was greeted by an extremely unfriendly waitress at the entrance. Two women in front of me were seated at a table at 6:15 p.m., which they didn't want. We were then assigned this table, even though we were initially shown a completely different table. The whole procedure was unprofessional and chaotic. It seemed very disorganized and disrespectful. This is definitely not how you imagine service. Very disappointing!

I went for lunch today. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was also great. Only the one female waiter would be more friendly. As you could tell from her scarf, she may have had a cold but that shouldn't affect her friendliness!!!!

Very tasty, decent portions, good selection. The pizza is huge, nice thin dough, but unfortunately very little filling. The starter came after the main course, but at least with an announcement and apology. But..... If I order a table for 7:15 p.m. and don't sit down until 7:25 p.m. because of overcrowding, then I expect the kitchen to close at 8 p.m. not 35 minutes later. We didn't even get a coffee. As much as I wish the staff had their Christmas party, an announcement when making the reservation the day before would have been the least.

Waited over 1 hour for our to-go food

Very loud. I ordered my favorite dish, which usually has a subtle note of lemon like in other branches. I think they forgot the lemon oil here. The side entrance was open, as we have never been to this branch we went through it. Instead of being shown through the store, we were gently placed outside the door and told to enter the building from the front. This time I was disappointed when I visited a Losteria branch.

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a long time, which was annoying. The staff was also very rude and didn't try hard. To make matters worse, instead of the Capricciosa pizza we ordered, we only got a Margherita. Very disappointing and definitely not recommended.

We were very satisfied overall. As always, a typical L’Osteria inviting atmosphere that invites you to linger. Good quality of food and friendly staff. What more could you want?! Thank you for the lovely stay with you.

We stopped by here spontaneously and got a place on a Saturday evening. It was very crowded. Nevertheless, the service was very good, friendly and always there when you needed it. The atmosphere is very chic. As usual, the food is tasty and good.

L’Osteria in Darmstadt offers the usual, cozy atmosphere that you know from the chain – modern and inviting. The food is solid and tastes good, but without the “wow” effect. The selection of drinks is large and varied, which is a positive thing. However, there is room for improvement when it comes to service; the staff could be friendlier and more helpful, which would complete the experience. However, the value for money is right here, so overall you get a good range of food at a fair price. All in all, a solid restaurant, ideal for a relaxed evening, even if that certain extra something is missing.

I actually really like the restaurant and the food is great, but last night I was very disappointed. Yesterday I celebrated my birthday at L’osteria with a few friends. I made a special reservation at 6 p.m. that lasted until 8 p.m. At 7 p.m. the waiter comes to our table and tells me that we have to leave now because the next reservation has already been made. Even though my table was still reserved for us for an hour. Then when we paid we were told the price of the bill incorrectly (the waiter had already added the tip himself). And when the money was given to him, he still boldly waited for someone to round up. So conclusion: poorly organized and brash!

Food came quickly and by sharing pizza you can get enough food for two cheaply 👍

It was full and we had to wait, but that was manageable at the bar. The space assigned to us wasn't great - three of us at a small table and the pizza barely fit! These are huge, you can get them with two different toppings and share them. Pizza was very tasty!

The restaurant was crowded. Despite a reservation and 10 minutes late, we almost have to fight with a southern unfriendly guy/receptionist to get in. The food was ok and the conditions were also great. Please contact restaurant management. If you take a customer's email and phone number when making a reservation, then tell the customer that the reservation is canceled due to a 10-minute delay. So that the customers can eat somewhere else without stress.

Great lunch specials, delicious pizza and pasta dishes

So-so experience: an “Italian” place where no Italian is spoken (but easily English, and the waiter was very kind). Having many covers, I think the dishes are semi-ready (e.g. they couldn't make the risotto without onion). The set table consists of a napkin with cutlery on it, and cleaning them consists of wiping them with a wet cloth. The kitchen "saves" them, a delicious mushroom risotto and equally good macaroni with gorgonzola. Positive note: good coffee.

We had a salami pizza and the Caesar salad. I got extra parmesan (freshly grated, not out of the bag!) Both very tasty, pizza extremely large and very thin 😊🌻 We'll be happy to come back

The Vitello Tonnato was particularly a highlight – it tasted great! As you would expect from L’Osteria, the restaurant impresses with its great ambience and delicious food. Gladly again!

Today I ordered again from "L'Osteria" and, as always, I was thrilled! The pizza here is incredibly delicious, with fresh ingredients and a great taste. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. I found it particularly nice that they helped me call a taxi when I asked, even though that wasn't part of their job. I've been to this restaurant several times and every time it's a special experience. I can only recommend it to anyone who appreciates good service and delicious food.

It feels like it's an Italian fast food restaurant. When you enter to wait until you are brought to the table, waiters constantly walk past you, but no one feels responsible, no "Welcome, someone will come to you shortly." The waiters seem stressed, which ruins the atmosphere. Then the prices! The pizzas are just quite large but very thin and also quite thinly topped, you almost only eat dough. The fact that the pizzas are bigger than the plates can actually just be a gag. We paid more than 70€ for two pizzas, a salad + drinks, for a family with two children! Just way too much for the food.

Leider hatten wir eine enttäuschende Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant. Wir baten darum, nicht in der Nähe der Küche zu sitzen, da es dort sehr heiß war und wir alles mitbekamen. Der Service zeigte deutlich, dass er damit nicht einverstanden war, und wies uns auf unfreundliche Weise einen anderen Tisch zu. Die gesamte Situation wirkte unprofessionell und wenig kundenorientiert

A good concept. Good food for not too much money. You get value for your money. The food is really good. The atmosphere, well it's a chain restaurant so it's a concept atmosphere. But that's fine for a good pizza or tasty salad. You go to a restaurant for the food and it is delicious.

I went yesterday to have dinner here and it’s was ok but unfortunately I forgot my coat in the table. I called them today to ask to keep the coat till I get back to Darmstadt. The guy that picked up the phone did not speak English and refused to pass to a colleague that would speak it (I was served yesterday in English). In the end he just hanged the phone on me and I can’t retrieve my coat. Very disappointing and sad.

I ordered through Wolt I paid almost €50 only to end up hungrily looking for something new. I got Gorgonzola with cream sauce. They simply cut the rigattoni pasta into 2 halves and I could count them with my hands. Just sad and the biggest rip off I can't recommend it.

We had dinner yesterday with kids here. We shared one pizza with the four of us (2 toddlers, two adults) and were even quite filled. The waiter offered a pizza memory game to keep kids entertained. Quite fun. The pizzas tasted well, and personnel was really friendly (despite the peak hour they were in)

I've been here several times, or at L'Osteria in general. Today was the first time that it wasn't tasty. There were 5 of us and apart from the pizza, the pasta really didn't taste like ANYTHING! (Pasta with lemon sauce.) It was newly made and tasted just like pepper. I'm not used to that from L'Osteria. The rating was still good because the service was really first class! We asked several times whether it was better now, + pizza rolls were put on the table on the house and at the end there was another panna cotta for everyone on the house. Many thanks to dear Theresa for this good care. If it hadn't been for her it would have been my last visit here. Now I'd love to come back! In general, the girls working today were very, very nice!

We were a bit skeptical due to the negative reviews, but fortunately we cannot confirm them. We ordered two pizzas to take away (Pizza Tonno & Pizza Degli Artisti). We were warmly welcomed and were able to get the pizzas after 15 minutes. Take it fresh out of the oven after we were able to watch it being prepared. There were a few guests in the restaurant and the staff were definitely busy. The pizzas were baked just right and had plenty of toppings, hot and tasty. Priced completely right for the size. Our expectations were met and we would eat here again.
