L'Osteria in München

Delicious, affordable and in a great location!!

Although did the reservation, we had to wait about 15min to get seated. The way they get you seated nit pleasant and from first instance you how chaotic they serve customers specially on busy times like lunch on Saturday. We had to wait 15-20min till the waiter comes and gets our order. The food such as Pizza and Pasta are average in big portions. Overall experience is very average, the location is very good though.

Service is so terrible. You stand in the line, tables are free and nobody bothers to seat you anywhere. What a disaster

I called this company several times to make a reservation. Not once did anyone answer the phone, during any time during their opening hours. There was probably never a single employee available to answer the phone, but it was always enough to turn away the call. It's a shame, service is not satisfactory in any way, you can hardly call it service.

Great value for money, this time I had a crunchy and fruity chicken breast salad. Service was super friendly and very attentive, great! Then why 4 and not 5 stars? Due to the "good" location right next to the Zombieland city center, the restaurant is completely overcrowded with endless lines in front of the entrance. We made reservations early and everything went smoothly, but the restaurant itself is more hectic than relaxed due to the large number of visitors. Overall, very good and thank you for a successful evening!

Large, delicious pizzas that can be easily shared with various toppings. Nice ambience and great service.

The pizzas here are unbeatable in terms of size and taste. Luckily we had a reservation on a Friday evening. The queue at the entrance didn't let up, although more and more tables became free as the evening went on. The noise level in the restaurant is very high. There are always lots of birthday serenades being played. Actually a great gesture, but if you have to endure this three times during your stay, it's not so great. The service struggled to serve quickly, but was generally always friendly.

The artist house is beautiful. My Insalata Pollo was prepared without cheese upon request. The salad was edible but there was little dressing, I had 3 cherry tomatoes in addition to the lettuce and the chicken meat was dry and hard as if it had been in the pan for an hour. The ambience outside isn't the best either because it's right on the street and you can always hear the street loudly in the background I think, but if you get a seat inside it can be nice. Conclusion: the food was not as good as the price suggests.

The food was so delicious. We had Gnocchi Gamberetti, which is slightly spicy, and Pizza BBQ Chicken, which was also spicy. The dishes are really tasty and juicy. The starter: Vitello Tonnato was also really good. And the price-performance ratio is great: we didn't expect these prices in the heart of Munich. Armin, who served us, is very personable and nice and made a big contribution to our great evening. We are very satisfied and can only recommend L'Osteria here and would be happy to come back.

Bugs were running on the chair, we warned the waitresses and they said it is normal. I don’t find it normal/hygienic for a restaurant.

Great atmosphere, we would have liked to have lunch there but the staff just ignored us. We tried in vain to speak to one or the other of the waitresses, but all eye contact was avoided so as not to ask about possible seats. The motto is obvious: Be careful, guests want to eat with us!

An excellent restaurant with Italian cuisine and fair prices. The food is good. The quinoa and avocado salad was perfect. The atmosphere is lively, casual and somewhat chaotic. Because of the good prices and high quality, it is always crowded and there are queues.

I had reserved a table and we were simply seated at a long table. Then I don't need to make a reservation if there isn't really a decent space available. We left after five minutes without eating because we didn't feel well.

Good food, but waiter messed up the order and refused to accept his mistake

We waited for the administrator to let us in for 20 minutes. The staff has absolutely no business with the guests standing at the entrance and waiting, there was a line behind us, there were many tables from them, but no one came stupidly. We asked the bartender to call someone, to which she replied "wait". When we finally entered, we waved our hands at the waiter for a long time and called him (again - everyone was indifferent). With this attitude to guests, this restaurant is worse than McDonald's.

Despite having a reservation, we were left waiting at the entrance. When I told the waiter about our reservation, he rudely gestured for us to wait with his hands — as if we were old army buddies. The interior was beautiful, but unfortunately the service did not match the decor. We waited 45 minutes for our pizzas, which never arrived. In the end, we left without even eating. It’s a shame the quality of service wasn’t as impressive as the design of the place.

Very fun! Went there for a friend’s birthday and they even sang and gave her cake. Waitress was very attentive (gave us a vase for the flowers we had). The food was delicious and quick to come, and the waiters weren’t pushy when we had to leave (there’s a 2 hour limit and they weren’t strict when we stayed 10 mins more). I recommend making a reservation though because it’s crowded and the line is long

We had a reserved table and they made us wait at the door for a long time. Pizzas too big for the small amount of ingredients they put. It seems like you only eat the dough.

Bad service. They mixed up the tables and brought the wrong cocktails. They added a cocktail to the bill that we didn't drink. Good thing we asked and were able to get the money back. I had an unpleasant impression of this restaurant

The L’Osteria München Künstlerhaus is an absolute highlight in the culinary heart of the city. Here you are greeted by friendly and courteous staff who immediately create a feel-good atmosphere. The selection is very large and the pizzas are really huge, the service was quick and the prices were reasonable

The ambience is very nice. The pizzas are huge, we shared them with two different halves based on the restaurant's recommendation, plus a small salad. We enjoyed it very much. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. It's a bit noisy but the ambience and experience makes up for it! Highly recommended. We'll be back!

I want to say THANK YOU for a such a good and pleasant place. Despite the long line at the restaurant, I got to a table quickly. The waiter Bhupinder was very friendly, quickly brought my order (constantly asked how I liked the lasagna). He also brought me a cocktail very quickly and as I wanted, without ice (it often happens that when there is a large flow of visitors, the waiter forgets and brings me a drink with ice). I'm very glad that this time everything went as I wanted. The atmosphere of the restaurant is at a high level, a constant flow of customers, atmospheric music plays and the interior is beautiful. I highly recommend this place especially to those who like me are passing through Munich and don't have much time to see the city. The restaurant is within walking distance from the train station.

Since it was very full and we hadn't made a reservation, we had to wait a little longer in front of the door. It took some time before we could order, but then it happened quite quickly. We shared a pizza because here the pizza is bigger than the plate... and super tasty. The staff was very nice.

The food was very good, the food came quickly after we ordered. However, the service was rude, didn't look at us, we often had to call the waiter to order food and we had to go to the waiter so that we could pay. However, he only came after 15 minutes.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel the need to share what happened today because it left me both embarrassed and disappointed. My boyfriend and I visited L’Osteria on a Saturday evening. As expected, the place was packed, but even more frustrating was the lack of guidance upon arrival. When we entered, no staff member greeted us or explained anything, so we tried to find a seat by ourselves. There was no visible queue inside, so we assumed the line outside was only for the outdoor area. After a few minutes of looking around, we finally caught the attention of a waitress who asked us to wait in line. The whole experience from the beginning felt confusing and unwelcoming. Eventually, we were seated—but the tables were placed so close to each other that it was nearly impossible to move comfortably. While I was trying to get into my seat, I accidentally knocked over a bottle from the neighboring table with my small backpack without even realizing it. The bottle spilled (possibly alcohol) and unfortunately stained the dress of the woman sitting next to us. I immediately apologized several times and gave her tissues, doing my best to fix the situation. What made it worse: No staff member came to help or even noticed the situation. The tight layout clearly caused the accident, not carelessness. We left the restaurant feeling very uncomfortable, and outside, the woman confronted us and demanded we pay for the spilled drink. My boyfriend kindly went back and paid just to keep things calm, even though this was not entirely our fault. The whole experience left me feeling extremely stressed and disappointed, especially as a tourist. Maybe it’s a cultural difference, I don’t know—but both the staff and the German guest were unexpectedly rude, and I didn’t expect such treatment here. Still, I want to say once more: I’m truly sorry to the woman. I didn’t do this intentionally—it happened simply because the seating space was badly designed. I hope L’Osteria takes responsibility for: - Improving staff visibility and guest guidance - Fixing the dangerously tight seating - Supporting guests with empathy in unexpected situations We came for a peaceful meal but left feeling humiliated and misunderstood..((

They forgot our order and all the tables that came after us ate first. It's horrible! The last time I ate at Osteria, the exact same thing happened to me. How unfortunate that it happens so often and not even an apology!!!

Dear L’Osteria team, April 5th, 2025 I ordered a Risotto Funghi to take away, waited over 30 minutes and unfortunately received a poorly cooked dish. The rice was undercooked and the food was intended for my child - unfortunately inedible. I also tried several times to make contact by phone, but no one answered.

I had never get such rude service before. The order was 30mins later than our reservation time. And the guy yelled at me saying he has already too much problem inside and this is normal because of the crowd. I have seen the place in crowder days never had this issue. I said all i wanted was an apology and he didnt. I think the service guy was racist. Never reccomend again.

On Sunday March 30th, 2025 (4:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.) there were 9 of us at Losteria. We got a table without a reservation. We received all our orders in about 25 minutes. My pizza was well charred, unfortunately the waiter didn't ask me if it was OK or if he should bring me a new one. Afterwards the shift was changed and thank God 🤲 we got Erik. Erik was very friendly, professional and not overwhelmed. After I asked him if this pizza was normal, he replaced it straight away and the latte macchiato and café were on the house. So I can only recommend this restaurant. With you, the customer is still king, thanks for the top service Erik. The portions are good and the food is delicious. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Unfortunately disappointing – poor service We went to L’Osteria in Munich with our class and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The service was absolutely chaotic - the waiters were unfriendly and inattentive. Our orders were forgotten or brought incorrectly several times. In addition, the drinks seemed heavily diluted with water. The only positive was the food, which was fine, but the miserable service ruined the entire visit. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this branch.

I ordered a build your own pizza via the Wolt delivery service. The pizza arrived damage and ice cold. It is the worst pizza I have had ever. They put some peppers on it that I did but and would not have ordered. The pineapple was sparse. This whole pizza was as if the restaurant didn't try or care. Stay away from this one. I hope I don't get food poisoning from the few bites I tried before giving up on the whole thing.

Very nice restaurant. I would have liked the candle lit in the middle of the table. Instead it remained unlit at the other tables too. The waitress did not make us feel welcome. He even asked us to hurry up with our order when my son tried to specify his order. I asked to bring us the appetizers first and the first courses after. He replied that it was already late (even before finishing ordering?!) Whoever ordered the pizza was placed a round paper between the wooden surface of the table and the plate. The other plates, glasses and bottles were placed directly on the wooden surface of the table. The container of grated cheese was pitiful. The cutlery was accompanied by a (sturdy) paper napkin. As expected, the starter, first courses and pizzas arrived at the same time (except for my son's gnocchi which were a little late. For this the waitress apologised). We had to eat the starter quickly to eat the pasta at least warm. The crescents were cooked just right but the cream was watery. The mushroom rice was unfortunately disappointing. The rice grains in my mouth tasted like burgú. I appreciated the Tagiasca olives in the appetizer, the sweet and sour onions, the fresh raw ham. It would have been perfect if the courgettes and aubergines weren't almost raw. The open kitchen allowed me to see the operating methods and understand why the huge but thin pizza was nice and crunchy underneath but without puffy edges. The pizza dough was light. In short everything was below my expectations.

I went to L'Osteria with my buddy this evening and it was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. I tried the pasta bolognese and absolutely loved it! The sauce was wonderfully tangy and flavorful, and the pasta was perfectly al dente – simply delicious. The portion was also more than generous! The service was friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back and can only recommend L'Osteria!

Food was ok/good. Service took too long for me. You have to like the loud and hectic atmosphere.

Pizza was great, waiting time for the food to arrive was quite short. The staff was friendly and asked every now and then whether everything was okay. However, one star is deducted because we had to wait around 15-20 minutes for our table despite having a reservation. Not a problem in itself, but it does add a bit of stress with a planned time slot of 1.5 hours.

Kellner waren super nett, leider die falschen Nudeln bekommen, dennoch ein sehr familiärer Besuch. Wir haben direkt einen Platz bekommen und die Pizza ist sehr groß. Auch der Beilagen Salat ist good value for money

Very crowded in the evening and on weekends. Without reservation wait ~30 minutes before boarding. Italian food in the center of Munich. This is the place to go if you are in the city center and want to feel the atmosphere of an art museum turned cafe. This is a chain cafe, you can find similar ones in other parts of the city.

Pizza is classic losteria. Service was extremely hectic when we were there in the evening. You should make a reservation in the hall with the chandelier, the atmosphere here is really very nice

Wait time is a bit but the atmosphere and location is spot on. Its in the middle of the city with a very nice view. There’s inside and outside both options for sitting, both are amazing. I loved the atmosphere. Great place to be with a group but advance reservations is a must as otherwise you will have to wait a lot specially on the weekends.

The ambiance is very nice, but the tables are close together. The pizzas are really big. The pizza probably extends about 5cm beyond the edge of the plate. However, the crust is quite thin and crispy. I come here often and really recommend the restaurant.

We were there yesterday and it was the worst restaurant visit I've ever had. We waited forever for everything, we didn't even get a drink within half an hour. And when we reported to the boss, we also received our food. You can't say a good word about the pasta either; it tasted like 3-day-old pasta from the microwave. After the points were raised, the waiter became rude and ultimately it was due to the organization. I really can't recommend this store...

Our stay there was a complete disaster. There were three of us and we had to wait 30 minutes for the drinks (iced tea) because they were forgotten. The pasta we ordered took an hour (!!) and didn't arrive, with a watered-down sauce. Any sauce from the supermarket tastes better. It has to be said that our cellar only took care of 4-5 other tables and it was the same case. We then asked Keller about it objectively, but he then reacted in a completely unfriendly manner and said it was due to his boss's organization?! The boss then tried to save the whole thing, but after endless discussions and this meal, we were happy when we could finally leave. At L'Osteria you expect a certain level of quality and service, but you can't recommend this branch. I would have liked to give zero stars for service and food if I could.
