Italienisches Restaurant La Romantica Ristorante München in München

During a trade show, we wanted to eat near the hotel. We sat inside because it was raining. When we sat down, dust blew around us. The service was okay. However, the food was not up to scratch. The pizza was sparse and rubbery, the salad was baked, and the sausages had a questionable flavor. The pasta seemed to be served with Barilla sauce. The cut of meat had an artificial/chemically pink grilled color, the typical tasteless meat of meat that had been frozen for too long. No air conditioning inside the pizza oven.

Staff (all of them) very unfriendly, they look at you when closing time is over, food is supposed to be Italian but far from really tasty, no fried food on the menu, setting is good but nothing special.

The food is okay, nothing to complain about. The waiter wasn't "unfriendly," but "not friendly." He did his job and didn't say much. You won't find the Italian over-the-top friendliness here. The food we ordered arrived very quickly.

We went to this Italian restaurant today, and unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. The staff was unfriendly, which made the atmosphere very unpleasant—we felt unwelcome. Additionally, the portions were surprisingly small, especially considering the price. The food tasted okay, but the poor service and small portions unfortunately prevented us from enjoying the visit. Dear Sir or Madam, On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, I visited your restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, my visit was accompanied by extremely unpleasant experiences, which prompted me to submit a written complaint to you. Right from the start, a waiter named Antonio demonstrated a lack of professionalism: He threw the menus onto our table without a word and then left us waiting unattended for over ten minutes before taking our order. During our meal, I wanted to inform the waiter that I was unfortunately not satisfied with the food – but he was nowhere to be found at the time. After our meal, he suddenly appeared, didn't ask about our satisfaction or if we wanted anything else, but cleared a half-full plate without comment and disappeared again. I have rarely encountered such unfriendly and inattentive service. I had expected much more from a visit to your restaurant – especially in terms of respectful treatment of guests. The waiter was unfriendly and always made improvements. The best food there was was the pizza, everything else was disgusting, the ice cream still had chunks of ice in it. The first and last time I eat there, if only to take away.

The waiter always corrected all of our words, even though we didn't even know Italian, and was very aggressive

Well, we do not recommend this restaurant La Romantica to anyone who likes high-quality service. The waiters are endless jerks, they are phlegmatic, the food goes down the drain. Rating: 1 point out of 5.

The waiter was rude, made us get up without even greeting us because he hadn’t cleared the table, made faces, answered rudely when asked, and kept sighing. We have never encountered such a rude waiter before, so we didn’t even wait for the food and left instead.

Service is a disaster....jerk employees

The owner's attitude towards us was ugly, wrong ordering and a contemptuous attitude towards us. I also saw a foreigner leave without eating because of their attitude. If you're a tourist, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant because you'll be treated badly

Tortellini with cream and ham didn't taste like anything, the ham was just diced and thrown in. Pizza Magharita very oily, thin and soggy. It was the worst pizza place I've ever ordered from.

The elder waiter is very rude. His behaviors are unacceptable. I really regretted to eat my dinner there. If you like to pay for rude attitudes this is the right place. I’ll never go there again.

They discriminate and bad service

One of the worst restaurants I've ever eaten at. When we asked for tomato soup, we were told that it would take too much time on a Saturday, but when a group of 5 people came in, the tomato soup wasn't a problem. You were ignored and the service was very unfriendly. The pizza was tasty but not recommended at all.

I didn’t like the food at all, the only thing you can eat there is pizza, but that one was a little burnt. When the waiter refused the drinks, he contorted his face and left dissatisfied. I didn’t explain to him that we had just had drinks in another establishment. The ministerone soup was so terrible (I love this soup and have tried it in many countries around the world) that after one spoon I completely lost my appetite. The interior and decoration of the hall are good, but the service in the form of this rude waiter and the food, which caused me nothing but sadness, discourage me from visiting this place again.

We were there on Saturday evening because we were in the hotel opposite and I have to say once and never again. As soon as we walked in the service was very unfriendly. The food came relatively quickly, but some of the spaghetti was still hard. The pizza didn't taste like anything and the cheese became more and more as you chewed. When we paid, neither a thank you nor a goodbye was said, but we simply walked away. Absolutely not recommended!

The atmosphere is good, not even very Italian, the employees are Italians, at least they speak Italian, mineral water is bottled, like in Italy, they try, but that’s where the positives end. If you want to eat, this is not the place for you. Portions are small, prices are normal. The pizza is rubbery, I don’t know how they do it, maybe the flour is bad in Germany 🤷‍♂️. In any case, you can't eat the food.

Terrible service, I ordered a simple pasta with garlic and olive oil and it was TERRIBLE, very spicy, impossible to eat and when I asked if they could change it, they laughed and told another table that they wouldn't change it. The menu doesn't say it's spicy, which is a shame because the place is nice. I don't recommend it and I won't be back. They charged me for the pasta, which was all on the plate. I only ate one bottle.

Einfach nur frech und soooo wass von unfreundlich. Die Stimmung unter den wenigen Gästen war so schlecht wie die Pizza… Eigentlich hätten sich Alle auf dem Absatz drehen und wieder gehen sollen… die einzige Hoffnung nach der ersten Begegnung mit dem Cheff, war auf eine richtig bombastische Pizza.. aber eben auch diese ist geplatzt… wäre besser gewesen mit Hunger und friedlich vis-a-vis im Hotel ins Bett zu gehen.Einfach unglaublich, da Geld auszugeben wo es nicht geschätzt und realisiert wird, dass mit Freundlichkeit so viel mehr im Leben zurück kommt. Eine schwierige Situation in dem Schuppen. Vielleicht kratzen sie noch die Kurve bevor sie noch mehr verlieren.

Nothing fancy, food was OK, but not more.

The food was very good, but the treatment we received in my opinion left a lot to be desired. It has been an uncomfortable deal, since we felt that what they wanted was for us to finish eating and leave as soon as possible. When paying the bill, he asked us if we wanted to leave a tip, I told him that I would leave them €1 as a tip, and I proceeded to pay by card. To my surprise they charged €2.20 as a tip by their own decision. Be careful with tipping here.

Food was very good. From the begining older waiter was quiet and his first word was with the main dish. When I was paying I left 1.30€ tip and after that I noticed that he already charged me 5€ for tip. When I summed up all of my food it was 5€ less than number written on the check. And then I noticed his 5€ tip. It was written on the check. So be careful when he brings the check.

En primer lugar, la comida era bastante buena y muy asequible. Comimos sopas y pasta y fue genial. Sin embargo, hay mucho que decir sobre el personal que trabaja en el restaurante. Cuando entramos inmediatamente sentimos que no éramos bienvenidos porque ni siquiera nos recibieron. Pensamos que la razón detrás de eso es porque el camarero no habla inglés, así que lo eliminamos, pero el ambiente extraño continuó. Su servicio era cuestionable - lanzó una servilleta que estaba en nuestra mesa molesta, apenas dijo una palabra y continuamente hizo todo lo posible para sacarnos de allí lo más rápido posible. Por último, lo peor de todo - intentó ROBARNOS. Recibimos nuestro recibo en el que decía 'TIP 5 €'. Nadie le dio permiso para poner una pista en nuestro recibo y estaba claro que estaba tratando de robar. Nos enfrentamos a él y actuó tonto, pero parecía que es algo que hace a la mayoría de sus clientes. Si va a ir a este restaurante (porque la comida está bien) - CUIDADO AL PAGAR. LEA LO QUE HAY EN SU RECIBO.

Worst experinece ever. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The waiter was incredibly rude and unprofessional, which really affected the overall atmosphere. The pizza was also a letdown – the crust was soggy and the toppings, especially the ham, tasted sour and unpleasant. Definitely not worth the visit. I won’t be coming back. They even wanted to charge us for something we did not order so we had to argue about that. And also we all felt sick after the meal. We were never treated like that.

The owner is an edgy guy but the food and service are very good. The prices are also unbeatable.

We just wanted to drink some wine at 10 p.m. The owner was very unfriendly and didn't sell us anything even though he was still open for another hour. As I said, very unfriendly. Not recommended. Better go somewhere else. And leave your money somewhere else. Apparently the colleague doesn't need that. And we weren't the only guests. And that when people in the catering industry are always complaining.

Incredibly unfriendly boss, they don't say please or thank you, even if you give a tip. If you order or ask something, people look at you as if you're a bother. Lunch is okay in terms of price and performance

The food nice. Pizza with thin dough, al dente spaghetti and a variety of options. The service is fast. But the owner unacceptable. We would ask him something and either he would not answer us, or he would answer us abruptly. Unsmiling, expressionless. I regretted leaving him a tip.

Do not eat here! I came with my partner a couple of weeks ago, and as soon as the server realised that we were a lesbian couple we were treated incredibly rudely by all staff. We minded our own business, simply holding hands across the table, and the server wouldn’t look at us while speaking to us, took our plates while we were still eating. Disgraceful place in this day and age.

Das kleine Restaurant in München Ost sticht hervor mit tollem Flair und rustikal Ambiente. Durch den großen Pizzaofen hat es schon beim betreten der Räumlichkeiten nach dem unglaublichen Duft von frischer italienischer Pizza gerochen. Das kleine Restaurant hatte für den Abend eine größere Buchung. So stand der vermeintliche Chef des Restaurants, der die Gäste bedient hat, ein wenig unter Druck war dadurch aber an diesem Abend mit Sicherheit der schnellste Italiener in ganz München. Das Essen kam schnell, frisch und heiß auf den Tisch und nach knapp 45 Minuten bis 1 Stunde war der Aufenthalt auf dem Punkt abgeschlossen. Die etwas kühler gewesen. Ausstrahlung des Service spiegelte an diesem Abend aber auf keinen Fall die Qualität des Essens wieder, denn dieses war lecker, insbesondere die Pizza aus dem großen Ofen sehr zu empfehlen. Man darf keinen „Überflieger-Italiener“ erwarten, man bekommt sehr solide, leckere italienische Küche in einem tollen Flair.

Received the food delivered by Lieferando before half an hour. The tortellini smelled and tasted totally like fish, absolutely inedible. Should actually just be cream sauce with ham. You can only hope you don't get food poisoning, who knows how it was prepared...

I eated pizza here, the food was great but the service was the WORST I experience, not even a good "Thank you" or "The food was good?", nothing. Just cold communication and 2,40 for each coffe expresso !?

We wanted to go to the restaurant at around 9:30 p.m. and wanted to have a nice drink until we walked in the door and asked if there was still a table available for two people, and we only received a very unfriendly answer: ' We're closing soon (at 9:30 p.m. even though the restaurant doesn't close until 11 p.m. according to the opening times)'. We then asked if it would be possible to just have a drink and were rejected in a very rude tone. Since it was too stupid for us to discuss it with him, we left. Absolutely not recommended!!

Very dissatisfied because you have to order a main course to consume a dessert for €8. This means that if you only want to order a dessert, you will be asked to leave.

A busy night, so the only server (elderly man) taking orders and delivering was very stressed. Refused to let chairs be moved to accommodate others wishing to sit together. But observed it was ok for him to move a chair when needed. I was annoyed by the the enforced tip. He didn’t give me change, and when asked for it, he said “what about tip?”. So he gave me half my change back, saying “some for you and some for me”. I’m naturally a generous person, and would have tipped but his insistence was plain rude.

By far the most “skin colour selective” restaurant I have ever encountered. Definitely a bad place for tourists! From the moment you enter the restaurant, you encounter a hostile attitude. The waiters are rude and hostile.I ordered takeaway and when I got to my hotel I was greeted with uncooked pasta with hot water and salmon. I had to throw away the whole meal as it tasted like it was cooked for an animal. Terrible place! So backward and it’s disgusting 🤮

It took a while until we were served. Lasagna was quite cold and tasted very bland.

We stayed at this Italian pizza restaurant in Munich for three consecutive evenings and were thrilled. The pizza, with its perfect dough and fresh ingredients, brought us back to the true flavors of home. The first courses were also a true triumph of taste, with generous portions and authentic flavours. The welcome was warm and the service impeccable, always making us feel at ease. A true Italian gem in Monaco, which we highly recommend to anyone who wants to taste authentic Italian cuisine!

There is a lack of temporary staff, conditions also have to cook....

Good food. Finding parking can be difficult.

The carbonara was very oily. The gentleman with gray hair was very rude, he didn't want to give me anything, he acted like he was at work as a punishment when he heard the Polish language.

Such a rude shop, there was no greeting, food is served without a word, not a friendly word. The person at the next table was ripped off and a tip was simply charged. The pizza was undercooked and tasteless. I felt unwanted and had insisted on change. Maybe there are too many hotels nearby and tourists only come once. Tip for travelers, a few hundred meters further on Eggenfeldener Straße is an Italian restaurant with top food and service.

We arrived and were not greeted friendly or at all. After we sat down, it took a while for the waiter (probably the boss) to come and take our order. The food came quite quickly and was very tasty. When I reordered the drinks I had the feeling that he wanted to get rid of us. Regular guests were treated very nicely and courteously. Price-performance is top All in one NEVER AGAIN!!!!

La Romantica Ristorante impresses across the board with its excellent food. The dishes are authentic and taste fantastic. What's particularly impressive is the great price-performance ratio - you get a lot for your money here. Another big plus is the fast service. The food is served quickly, so you don't have to wait long and can enjoy the delicious dishes quickly. Although the atmosphere could be a little more comfortable and the staff friendlier, the outstanding food and fair prices more than make up for these small flaws. Overall, La Romantica Ristorante is an excellent choice for anyone looking for delicious and inexpensive Italian food.

I have ordered a pizza! I was about to eat it there but i had to go after receiving an urgent call… and luckily because i haven’t enjoyed the atmosphere since i have started eating there, so i had to get it packed and took out. The Pizza was nice tho, but it tasted bad after i had the waiter’s reactions, he mades me feel like i’m dine in for free like i’m not gonna pay them or sum. It’s pity because they seem to be in the industry for a long time, but it’s still hard for them even to smile!!! I would never wish this experience to anybody would visit this spot… Please smile, cheese :D

Wie waren wiederholt in der Pizzeria la Romantica, weil wir beruflich in der Gegend zu tun hatten. Und zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten war der Chef immer unfreundlich, auch wenn wenig los war. Wer hier italienische Herzlichkeit sucht, sucht leider vergebens

Unfortunately, you weren't greeted warmly at the entrance, but were rather easily turned away. After a short discussion you were allowed to sit down. Slightly irritated, we went to choose the dish, until then everything was great. Food was ordered and arrived pretty quickly. The pizza itself was just okay. Far too fatty for my taste and the Parma ham had hardly any taste. Unfortunately, some colleagues completely forgot about their meal. After you pointed this out to the waitress, you started a discussion and dismissed the blame, and it got a little louder here. The chef was at least able to apologize for the action, but the cellar was met with a lack of understanding. All in all, you can say that you don't really feel invited to dinner and are treated accordingly. For me, as well as numerous colleagues, the first and last time. A pity.

We had dinner at this Italian restaurant in the evening during a trade fair. Weather was great, so a table outside. It seems that the boss does the entire service alone. He's actually fast, but I've rarely experienced anything so unfriendly in my life. During the meal there was a certain escalation that I don't even want to repeat here. Instead of an apology, I received an accusation myself! Doesn't work at all!!! Finally the chef brought me the food (a different one than I had originally ordered!) - he at least offered a small apology. All in all: incredibly unfriendly, rather rude. I'll never go to this store again!!! I'd rather go a few meters further to the Burger King...

Positive: good pizza from the stone oven. Pasta from the daily menu is also good. Served al dente, good portion and well seasoned. Well: the outside seats are very loud. I can't judge inside. In any case, this was my first and last visit here. The Italian in question speaks stupidly to his customers. Especially if you don't speak Italian or German. It doesn't work at all. Even though the restaurant was half empty, it was impossible to order 1 beer. We were sent away by the waiter because we “just” wanted something to drink. This is not possible without eating something...

After another 20 minutes our food arrived, which was absolutely fine in terms of time, we had 2 pasta dishes and 1 pizza, the food was really very good, the pasta was freshly prepared and pizza came straight from the stone oven. The very good food really made up for the difficult service and the prices were very reasonable. If you're looking for classic, good and inexpensive Italian food and perhaps have a bit of good nerve, you're in good hands here.

We had about an hour to eat because the table was reserved. Within 45 minutes we had eaten and paid for 2 drinks, 1 pizza, 1 spaghetti carbonara (Italian style) and a chocolate souffle. Service was super fast and the food was delicious. We'd love to come back.
