Loreley Coburg in Coburg

This weekend we went to the Loreley restaurant in Coburg. Initially, we wanted to sit outside, but then went inside because of the wasps. My partner had roulade with dumplings, and I had grilled salmon with salad. Both were truly delicious. A small negative: With the exception of spaetzle, the menu only offers meat or fish dishes. This isn't really up to date for guests with special dietary requirements. However, because the food was so good, I'd like to give it full marks.

A very nice and cozy restaurant. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and the price was completely reasonable. The fries and schnitzel were left out of the picture. 😉

We ate there on the Friday before the Andrea Gabalier concert. The food was amazing! The service was also excellent. Melissa, in particular, was very attentive and looked after us perfectly. We'll be back!

My turkey steak with chanterelles was of very good quality but also quite expensive at €26.50. I missed the small lunch dishes on the menu at reasonable prices, so the tables around us were almost empty.

Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten, wurden wir dazwischen geschoben. Sehr freundliches Personal. Brachten unserem Hund gleich zu trinken. Essen kam sehr schnell und war sehr lecker. Portionen sind gut bemessen.

A wonderful evening from the start: Super nice and extremely professional staff welcomed and guided us through the evening. Wow from the first moment. (No comparison to the evening before with the skewers.) We had great starters, delicious schnitzels and at the end a delicious chocolate cake. Many thanks to the whole team.

We spontaneously decided to go out for dinner in the Loreley restaurant in the evening. The restaurant was full, so we got a table in a side room. There is something on the menu for all tastes. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. Dining, whether before or after main. or dessert was very good. We are happy to give 5 stars here! We would love to come back!

After a long morning hike from Coburg, we were really hungry. We thought the idea was good and the Loreley restaurant looked very inviting from the outside. Inside we were taken directly to a free space. There were only two tables left. It's definitely very lively here. The menu was short, but with great dishes. The decision was still quite easy for me. It was supposed to be the roast venison. What can I say? It was great! I could have sat in the sauce, the roast was tender like butter and dumplings, red cabbage and the side salad were also great. I can only report positive things here and highly recommend the restaurant. Price/performance top!

Wir waren heute zum Mittagessen hier. Zu unserer Freude fanden wir in den gemütlichen Gastraum einen Tisch,wir würden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Die beiden Essen waren hervorragend zubereitet Putenschnitzel und Rindersteak mit verschiedenen Beilagen Wenn wir wieder mal nach Coburg kommen kehren wir gerne hier wieder ein.

The worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant. Sauerbraten, 2 thin slices of meat, both tough and one flaxy. Obviously from 2 different pieces of roast. The meat had definitely not been pickled beforehand. The dumplings were totally watered down and the sauce was indefinable. And all at an unearthly price. Never again!!!

Cozy, rustic restaurant. We were served nicely and politely and felt welcome from the start. We ordered beef in horseradish sauce. Everything was just right, dumplings, sauce, meat. A pleasure! Just as it should be. The price-performance ratio was also suitable. We would love to come back!

Very nice meal here. The carpaccio as a starter was good and the pork tenderloin with chanterelles was delicious!

Luckily we had reserved and so we were able to sit down for dinner in the cozy garden in front of the restaurant. A very nice waiter treated us to two delicious dishes. The roast beef was spot on, delicious sauce, perfect dumplings, topped with the Kree meat, tender, tasty, with one of the best horseradish sauces we've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. It was an experience of taste and hospitality and the price is also very fair for this quality. We'll be back!

Wir hatten zum Glück reserviert und so konnten wir in dem gemütlichen Gastgarten, vor dem Lokal bequem zum Abendessen platz nehmen. Ein sehr netter Kellner bewirtet uns mit 2 super leckeren Gerichten. Der Rinderbraten war auf den Punkt getroffen, leckere Soße, perfekte Klöße, noch getoppt von dem Kreefleisch, zart, schmackhaft, mit einer der besten Meerrettichsoßen, die wir je genießen durften. Das war ein Erlebnis an Geschmack und Gastfreundlichkeit und auch der Preis ist sehr fair für diese Qualität. Wir kommen wieder!

Sehr einfache Reservierung per Gastronaut. Die besten Klösse in der Stadt. Super Service. Mehrmals nachgefragt, ob wir zufrieden sind. Wasser für den Hund gab es auch :)

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 4 Personen reserviert und auf Grund des schönen Wetters im freien saßen. Die Bedienungen waren schnell und sehr freundlich. Wir hatten unterschiedliche Gerichte bestellt und alle waren ausgezeichnet. Wir wurden auch gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist und ob wir noch was wünschen. Es war für uns alle ein kurzweiliger, gelungener und schöner Abend. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt und dafür vielen Dank.

The restaurant is beautifully located and its special façade invites you to stop by. We sat inside and also outside. The food was always a delight. You eat really well in the “Loreley”… However, we waited an eternity for it. Parking is not easy.

We were there for dinner. Very nice service, they opened a room for us because everything outside was full. Nice tables, very good food. We would be happy to come back.

Very good, I would visit again and again

We were regular guests before and very satisfied, now after 5 years of visiting we are still very satisfied. The Coburger dumplings are highly recommended, as are the service and the ambience.

Yesterday we ate at the Lore for the third time. It was again super tasty. What I think is great as a mom is that there are still toy boxes for children so they can keep themselves busy if they want. We will be back definitely. Keep it up 👏

I just had beef with horseradish and dumplings with a side salad. The horseradish was just right for my taste and the meat was super tender. Normally I often enjoy food, but this was excellent and the service was also excellent and courteous. There are ladies sitting behind me and from what I hear they are also full of praise. I'm sitting on the street so I give it 4 stars for the ambience, but it also speaks for the busy restaurant. The price-performance principle is very good.

Das beste fränkische restsurant coburg. Wo man noch schmeckt das mit Liebe und Hingabe gekocht wird. Der Service ist super und der neue Chef, der es seid diesem Jahr übernommen hat einfach absolut die beste Auswahl von den Vorgängern. Er ist sehr freundlich, nimmt die jacken ab, nimmt sich viel Zeit mit den Gästen hält da und dort mit ihnen einen Plausch, super Umhang mit seinem Team, so entspannt und ruhig. Wir kommen auf jedenfalls wieder. Es ist immer ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt bei euch.

As a Thuringian, we ate and enjoyed fantastic food in Coburg. Restaurant Loreley is absolutely recommended. Sauerbraten with dumplings was a delight. Special requests are also carried out. The service is very attentive and kind. Any time!!!

Alles tadellos, Sauber und einfach lecker. Zwar etwas teurer, aber für Qualität zahlen wir dann auch gerne etwas mehr. Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich, dieses Lokal kann man echt weiterempfehlen!

Don't the chefs feel like making spaetzle and gravy fresh? Instant sauces, the smell of magg...unfortunately only canteen quality at overpriced prices.....For other guests I recommend the winery noodles for 17.50...cheer, nothing more. Dear owner... thank you for your feedback. I told your employees that I would not order the food I ordered a second time. Out of consideration for other guests, I avoided the word Maggi. As you can see from your pictures, the sauces do not match the respective roasts in any way, but rather represent the general products from Braten - Fix in all variations. That's why I unfortunately have to refuse to dine with you again... Best regards

Nicht zu empfehlen. Der Chef geht sehr schlecht mit dem Personal um. Konnte man beim Besuch sehr oft hören und sehen. Essen qualitativ für den Preis nicht gut.

The restaurant is located near Schlossplatz Coburg. Very cozy and very nice service. We had a very tasty, home-style meal here. We'll definitely come back when we're in Coburg again.

First there was a sign on the door saying “We are taking a break and will be happy to reopen for you at 5:30 p.m.” So we passed the time for another 90 minutes. When we stood in front of the restaurant again at 5:25 p.m. and asked for a table for two people, the answer was "We have a large private party." That was also what was new on the sign. You could have written that straight away. This way you annoy your guests unnecessarily.

The roasts (e.g. sauerbraten) are a poem, the staff are very friendly! Clear recommendation!
