Very friendly staff, good food, we will definitely come back.

We went to this restaurant for dinner for the first time today. It was relatively cold in the restaurant.. The drinks were served to us quite quickly. After waiting 50 minutes for our food, we received lukewarm burgers. The plates were cleared while one person was still eating at the table... We were then left sitting with empty glasses and the waiter made no attempt to ask for the bill. Instead, new guests were sent away who could have eaten from our table. If we hadn't ordered the bill after half an hour, we would still be waiting.

Service and kitchen are poorly organized. Drinks and food took far too long to be served. There wasn't enough cutlery on the tables. Food was then forgotten and mixed up. Card was short, which was good with an additional Christmas card. Food was also tasty, but nothing special. There is definitely still room for improvement!

Ready-made food out of the bag The day I was there I had fried potatoes with minced meatballs. The fried potatoes were 100 percent straight from the bag. The meatballs were all identical, but I can't decide on them. The food was freshly prepared, but not homemade. I didn't say it wasn't tasty. But when I go out to eat somewhere, I don't want ready-made food. What is the internet for? If I am asked by Google to give my review about the restaurant. I didn't insult anyone. That was my experience that day. I know what ready-made fried potatoes taste like. Maybe my mistake was that I was there at lunchtime. Unfortunately there were none of the delicious dishes that are on the menu on the website.

The ambience is attractive, the service was fine. However, the menu seems a bit bland and it would be nice if there was more choice of dishes. The food was good, but there is still room for improvement.

Wir waren vor einen Monat hier essen und habe eine Bewertung bei Google hinterlassen die der Inhaberin nicht gepasst hat somit schreibe ich sie hier. Ich muss sagen das die Speisekarte sehr überschaubar ist ein zwei Burger mehr wären ganz schön. Der burger war schon okay. Dann hatten wir noch ein Rumpsteak mit Knoblauchbaguette und Champignons für denn Preis muss ich sagen war dieses nicht schön die Champignons waren aus der Dose bzw. TK das Knoblauchbaguette war leider auch fertig und für 4,20 bekomme ich im Laden 4 von denn fertigen Knoblauchbaguette. Der Service war okay aber müsste etwas mehr auf die Gäste eingehen. Die Karte war klein und wenige Gerichte und dafür noch TK Produkte zu verwerten ist sehr schade. Da bei einer kleinen Karte keine TK Produkte nötig wären. Es steckt Potenzial dahinter. Was ich mir wünsche für meinen nächsten Besuch wenn die Karte Liebe-voller gestaltet wird und mehr frische Produkte verwendet werden wie bei denn Champions. Da diese wirklich nicht so teuer sind auch da Brot könnte das nächste Mal doch frisch sein und kein fertig Baguette was man im Laden bekommt.

Six of us had dinner this evening. All of us ordered a fillet steak with various side dishes. One of the steaks did not have the quality of a fillet and was therefore criticized. This got so badly into the boss's nose that it was the end of it - the steak was removed from the plate with the cleared cutlery of another guest, as we didn't have to pay for it, and to top it all off, the stranger's fork was placed on the table with kind regards Plate left lying around. Disgusting and a huge mess!!! We were given a waiver of drinks and one meal, but at the end we were said goodbye: If we don't want to come anymore, then it's not a big deal. Unfortunately, a world of difference from the previous owner!

Everything was great, great people, good value for money…. We'd love to come back.

We can only advise against visiting at lunchtime. Nothing to order from a menu, only 3 dishes to choose from, but only one can be served. Service and service at the lowest level, but high prices - a glass of ginger ale €5.00!

Staff: Dominican Republic/Venezuela/Germany. The German language is no problem. Special requests will be accommodated. Friendliness and dealing with guests at a very good and high level. The chef himself comes from Venezuela. I would like more food. Steak prices are TOP because the quality is outstanding. I would say PERFECT. All other dishes are also 100%. Definitely a good place for family celebrations too. In summary: Very professional when it comes to gastronomy. THANK YOU for the lovely evening with you. We'll be back.

Das Longhorn in Bautzen hat neue Betreiber. Sie geben sich absolu Mühe, sind freundlich und bereiten ein sehr schmackhaftes Essen zu. Wer die amerikanische Küche (Nord und Süd Amerika) liebt ist hier richtig.

New flair in the Longhorn. The new operators of the Longhorn put in a lot of effort, are friendly and the food is very tasty. It is absolutely recommended to pay a visit to the restaurant.

Tested the lunch menu for the third time today after the change of operator. Conclusion: Far from the level of the previous operator. Fried potatoes taste okay, but only slightly warm, fried egg "fried to death", lukewarm and without taste, slice of meatloaf only 3-4 mm thick, salad was already falling apart... not a fourth time so quickly.

Das Essen ist spektakulär, gut zubereitet und man merkt, dass es mit viel Liebe zubereitet wurde Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist großartig. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.

We had reserved for 12 people. Only after about 30 minutes did we get a card to order drinks. After about another 30 minutes we asked if we could order food, as up to this point (1 hour after arriving on time) no food order had been taken. There were around 12 other guests in the restaurant besides us. We had three small children with us who were becoming restless. Further drink orders were only brought after repeated reminders. Dishes were mostly cold, steaks were cooked through despite being ordered medium, rump steak was cold and only about 1 cm thick, burger was cold, potato wedges and sour cream were unseasoned. Unfortunately, the Longhorn cannot be recommended at this time.

One of the best restaurants I've been to so far. Food is a dream for America lovers. I don't know exactly whether the service is funny or unfriendly. We found it rather unfriendly ':D Gladly again because of the food and ambience!

We often eat at the "new" Longhorn and are thrilled with the Dominican cuisine on offer. A super delicious dish every day, prepared with love. We have never had a day of disappointment; we have always been surprised. We also know the Longhorn and its offering as it was. Super. You shouldn't always talk badly about everything. Every beginning is difficult. And here the new crew is following in very big footsteps. So give yourself some time and a chance. Dominican cuisine in our region, a special variety.

We often go to Longhorn for lunch. In addition to the usual lunch dishes, there is always a Dominican dish, which we have often been surprised by and it has always been a treat for the palate 😊 Very tasty, cooked and lovingly prepared. You should definitely give something new a chance here!

Never again. I don't know how these people can drag the Long Horn name so badly. The first impression was frightening. Dried flowers and dusty balloons from the housewarming party lay in the dining room. Stale beer was the next disappointment. And the highlight was the sirloin steak, which was completely cooked through and tasted like the sole of a shoe. The garlic bread we ordered was from “Gut und Günstig” from the discount store. Every snack bar and canteen has better food and better service.

We were there on Saturday evening and were unfortunately absolutely disappointed. - NEW OWNERS - After half an hour we were asked what drinks we wanted - until then we didn't even have a menu, but we were then given two tickets for three people. We were later informed that one of the two cards was still from the previous owner and was no longer being used. Then the pen to write down our order was missing and it dragged on like this... We left after the starter and will definitely not come back. Lack of staff is definitely not an excuse for this poor service! It's a shame for the name "Longhorn", it's no longer what it used to be - unfortunately the website isn't updated either. We hope that we remain an exception and that the other guests can have a better experience with the new owners.

I have to say that the menu is very manageable, two more burgers would be nice. The burger was okay. Then we had a rump steak with garlic baguette and mushrooms. For the price I have to say it wasn't nice. The mushrooms were canned or frozen. Unfortunately the garlic baguette was also ready and for 4.20 I got 4 of the ready-made garlic baguettes in the store. The service was okay but needs to be a little more responsive to the guests. The menu was small and there were only a few dishes and it was a shame to use frozen products instead. Because with a small card no TK products would be necessary. There is potential behind it. What I hope for my next visit is when the menu is designed with more love and more fresh products are used like at Champions. Since these are really not that expensive, the bread could be fresh next time and not a ready-made baguette that you get in the store.

It was always top notch but that doesn't work at all. I'm sure the previous operator is extremely annoyed. I'm so disappointed, I'm at a loss for words. There has recently been a new operator here. I was there for lunch and had a fantastic fish risotto with coconut milk. In addition to classic dishes, the kitchen also offers delicious meals from Dominican cuisine. I'm looking forward to a great dinner there soon and wish Heidi all the best with the new Longhorn 🙏🏻❤️

Food was good, but the service wasn't very attentive. Glasses stay empty for a long time.

They used to be regular customers. It doesn't work with the new owner and the old concept. You should do what you can and that's really not it! Ordered medium steak - it was really very well done! Good thing it was only 200g. Even the potato wedges were messed up, left in too old frying fat for too long. The burger was bland and tasteless. There were maybe 12 other guests in front of us and it just took too long. And please. You can only advise against the gratinated herb baguette. White and unappetizing, a refrigerated baguette sprinkled with a little cheese - there really is a better way. Our recommendation to the operators. Try something different - different name, different dishes - nothing that draws comparison to the food from the old Longhorn. Maybe the old staff was special (But Lovable!) - but there was never any criticism of the food!

Even though there were a few small initial errors, we were very well looked after and the food was really delicious!! Keep it up, we'll see each other again in November at the latest!

Very friendly staff, very accommodating, always careful to fully fulfill the customers' wishes, even if there is a short waiting time, it is still worth it. Food in pleasantly large portions so that both young and old get their fill. We'll definitely be back!

Very friendly service, unfortunately the staff made a small mistake but this was quickly and brilliantly resolved by the service and kitchen. The food was ok except for the steak, which was tough and had a thick edge of fat/cartilage. The service was outrageous. The atmosphere is very nice.

The unfriendly greeting we have ever experienced in a restaurant. Brittle charm That's still a gross understatement. If you only want to work with reservations, you should write this on the website or at least on the outside of the restaurant. This way you can save yourself the trouble of having to go there or go in and be handled by the unfriendly older gentlemen in the dining room. (You can't smell it or imagine how some people tick or think they have to run their business.) As I said, customer friendliness looks different and I would say a very bad example for the Bautzen gastronomy. I can't judge the food on offer and won't because we'll never visit this place again. By the way, afterwards we found a fine restaurant in downtown Bautzen where everyone was nice, friendly and accommodating. We were happy to pay them our money. Conclusion: If you want to know what it felt like to go to the restaurant in Eastern Time, you are in good hands at the Longhorn. The one star was only given for being able to write the comment here, so 0 points. Best regards

A great restaurant! Birthdays, celebrations, just go out to eat - you can't go wrong here. Nice and authentic service, great food and lots of choice, but always authentic in style and taste. An absolute recommendation for everyone!!!!

We've been there several times. Now it's been a long time and quite spontaneously for 2. We got a place without a reservation - but it's still recommended to reserve in advance. Service was great. Quick, prompt and friendly. Years ago this wasn't always the CASE, so it's great. Food came quite quickly and it was very tasty. My onion rings were a bit greasy - see picture on the left - but it was okay - since I didn't finish everything anyway. Everything else was delicious and will be back soon. Ambiance is also perfectly fine. Plenty of parking spaces. What more could you want? We go home happy and full ;)

High quality steaks with a perfect degree of doneness

It's been a while since I dined at the Longhorn... I was obviously amazed at the great offerings, it was very good and the service was friendly and quick. Everything was fine...gladly again :-)

It's a real shame that the (apparently) owner isn't interested in random customers (2 people). Nowhere is it stated that you can "only" enter the restaurant with a reservation, according to the statement of the rather unfriendly gentleman who sent us out again at 6 p.m. on April 3rd, 2024, even though many tables were still free. We come here very rarely because we come from Bavaria and are visiting friends. But from now on the restaurant will no longer see us, there are much friendlier and more flexible hosts in the area.

Have been here twice now with colleagues and were thrilled both times. The steak was on point and the side dishes went well with it. Whenever I'm craving a good steak again, the Longhorn will definitely be my first choice. It's great what you offer.

Lunch from Tuesday to Friday from 5.50 euros or 7.00 euros. We recommend. Delicious home cooking.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 17 Uhr telefonisch reserviert. Als wir am Tag pünktlich Vorort waren, standen wir vor verschlossenen Türen. Wir wurden nicht informiert. Lediglich auf der Internetseite war vermerkt, wegen Krankheit geschlossen....

Habe eine Woche vorher telefonisch reserviert und am Tag der Reservierung stand ich vor verschlossener Tür. Es gab keine Info warum, wieso,weshalb. Erst nach Google Recherche haben wir herausgefunden, dass wegen Krankheit. Können die nicht telefonieren und Bescheid geben?

I have never experienced anything so unfriendly in Germany. When ordering, the waitress had to wait a whole 3 seconds, then immediately said that you should hurry up, there are others waiting. We lit the existing candle that was on the table and the waitress extinguished the candle again; no candles were allowed due to the risk of being knocked over. In addition, a large lace was put on someone without giving a reason for it. Furthermore, the waitress was loudly in a bad mood. This place will never see me again.

If you like rustic cosiness, this is the right place for you. In addition, the food is plentiful and very good and the landlord always has a relaxed saying on his lips.

The food was super tasty, the prices are justified in and of themselves. Only the service was a bit rude, seemed snippy, annoyed and very arrogant. If you can't deal with people like that, you shouldn't go there. That destroys the atmosphere there a bit. Otherwise it is really recommended.

By chance while passing through, I saw this restaurant, which was inconspicuous from the outside. Inside, however, totally surprised. So rustic and yet very cozy. The service was very polite, quick and fun. The food is first class. An unconditional recommendation from us. Saved as a POI on our navigation system and we return when we are nearby.

Went there spontaneously. Very nice style restaurant. The food was very tasty and the desired degree of doneness of the meat was achieved exactly, and the service was friendly. What I don't understand (and therefore only 4 instead of 5 stars) is how it could be that a steakhouse doesn't offer any sauces. No pepper sauce, no cream sauce, nothing. Wir wurden eingeladen von Freunden ins Longhorn. Das Lokal sieht von außen aus wie so eine Kneipe aus dem wilden Westen wie man es aus den Filmen kennt. 😃 Die Inneneinrichtung setzt sich in dem Stil fort. Wir wurden sehr offen und freundlich empfangen und zu unseren Tisch geführt. Unsere Kellnerin wieß uns darauf hin, dass es mit dem Essen ein wenig länger dauern könne, was kein Problem für uns war. Letztendlich kam es doch sehr schnell alles. Allgemein war sie freundlich und aufmerksam. 🙂 Zum Essen. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl von Steaks, TeX Mex Gerichten, Burger und anderen amerikanischen Leckereien. Die Portionsgrößen erinnern auch an Amerika 😅 Preis-Leistungsmäßig gibt es nichts zu sagen. Allen hat es gut geschmeckt. Das Einzige was wir zu kritisieren hätten, wäre der Aufpreis von 50 Cent, für das restliche Essen zum mitnehmen und dass wir es selber einpacken mussten. Aber geschenkt. Wir hatten ein tollen Abend. Danke dafür! 😊🙏🏻

Schönes Restaurant. Liegt etwas versteckt. Burger waren lecker. Den Kindern hat es auch gescheckt. Portionen waren reichlich.

Super lecker und reichlich. Man wird auf jeden Fall satt. Der Wirt ist witzig, freundlich und gesprächig.

War nur zum 11-er-Zug, zum Bier trinken da ... aber sehr angenehme Gaststätte mit einem sehr umsichtigen Chef!!! Leider wird er das Lokal schließen, weil keine Nachfolge gegeben ist ... ganz traurig, da wieder ein Stück Heimatkultur verloren gehen ... einfach nur traurig wie viel den Bach runtergehet!!!

Alles in allem 10 von 10 Punkten 👍👌 Da Google zu dämlich is, eine Zusammenstellung zu akzeptieren, gibt's nur ein Bild vom Steak 🤦‍♂️ das Andere musste ich leider entfernen.. 🤷‍♂️ Hauptsache, man kann halb nackte "Männer" in Frauenkleidern posten 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ völlig verblödet diese Gesellschaft 🤦‍♂️aber egal.. wir waren begeistert und wenn doch Einige es nicht begreifen, dass Dienstleister keine Sklaven sind, dann sollen sie an ihrer negativen Rezession erst... 🤦‍♂️ Ich finde die Antworten perfekt und auf den Punkt👌👍 macht mir den Laden nur noch sympathischer 👍👍👍👌💪.

Wir waren mit Freunden zum Abendessen. Der Service das Essen sowie das Ambiente stimmen, der Wirt ist freundlich lustig unterhaltend. Die „Short Rib Spezial“ sehr zu empfehlen Uns hat’s gefallen wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!

Parkplatz ausreichend vorhanden, Auswahl an Speisen abwechslungsreich, Service sehr freundlich, gut und Humorvoll, was uns gefallen hat. Wartezeit auf unser Essen ca. 20 Minuten, vollkommen I. O. Das Ambiente im Westernstyle war sehr angenehm. Einfach hinfahren ist nicht, immer anrufen und Termin vereinbaren.

Die Lage und die Optik sind für ein Tex-Mex Restaurant authentisch. Der spröde Charme des Personsls wohl auch. Der Service ist schnell und aufmerksam. Leider setzt die Küche auf das Motto: Alles möglichst lange braten und dann in Fertigsoße ersäufen. Das jedwedes aufgetischte Gericht (mit Ausnahme der versalzenen Quesillidias) verbrannt war, konnten die Soßen dennoch nicht übertünchen. Fazit: Ein Restaurant für jene, denen es beim Essen eher auf Quantität statt Qualität ankommt und dabei trotzdem nicht so genau auf den Preis geschaut wird.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Schon bei Eintritt ins Lokal hatte der Kellner bzw der Inhaber einen coolen Spruch auf den Lippen. Sofort fühlten wir uns wohl. Das Essen war sowas von lecker 😋 und mehr als ausreichend und vor allem verdammt heiß 🔥. Das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Wir sind sehr zufrieden und satt aus dem Lokal gegangen. Wir werden es ganz bestimmt wieder besuchen.

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen, der Kellner war überaus freundlich. Der Besuch selbst daher nicht zu beanstanden. Allein bei der Tischreservierung am Telefon hatten man das Gefühl, dass man als Gast nicht erwünscht ist. Die Frau am Telefon wirkte gestresst, verwies auf die vielen Gäste am Abend und dass wir pünktlich sein sollen. Die Tonlage war alles andere als erfreulich. Wir sind dann trotzdem erschienen - die Gaststätte war keinesfalls voll besetzt. Wenn man etwas empfindlicher ist, kann so eine Reservierungsart sicherlich abschrecken.

Bestes Steakhouse in der Umgebung. Immer wieder gerne.

Die Lage im Industriegebiet ist vielleicht nicht optimal, aber man ist bemüht, optisch das Beste daraus zu machen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Getränke wurden rasch serviert. Zum Essen gab es einmal das 200 g Filetsteak und einmal das Coffee Rub Steak - beides medium rare bestellt und es wurde genau so serviert. Dazu gab’s zweimal Potato Wedges, einen Cole Slaw Salat sowie Bohnen. Das Fleisch war geschmacklich sehr gut und zart. Die Portionen mehr als ausreichend. Preis-Leistung war hier absolut in Ordnung.

Dieses Restaurant verdient leider weder einen Stern noch eine gute Bewertung. Der Besitzer/die männliche Bedienung ist von Grund auf unfreundlich, arrogant und versteht nichts vom Fach der Gastronomie. Zum vermeintlich leckeren Essen sind wir nicht gekommen da wir vorher schon mit mieser Laune und keinerlei Gastfreundschaft empfangen wurden. Als wir unsere Getränke bezahlen wollten wurden wir auf eine Art und Weise abserviert die hat die Welt noch nicht gesehen. Uns wurde ein Vortrag darüber gehalten, dass wir verpflichtet seien Essen zu bestellen und er müsse uns nun die Servietten in Rechnung stellen. Dieses ‘Restaurant’ sieht uns definitiv niemals wieder!
