I only comment on the food wise. We ordered the summer menu. I am a bit disappointed that some food tastes like something you can find in a way cheaper, regular Chinese restaurant, especially the ribs. When it is called the Perfect Ribs, you expect it to be good but it has a strong meat taste makes me feel a bit disgusting. The chili sauce tastes like what I could find in the Asian market. It tastes like lao kan ma(老乾媽）. I was expecting them to make their own sauce or anything more unique. （or maybe they make their own sauces idk) I didn’t try the drinks. But friends said the sake and cocktails they ordered was great. it was a lot of food. Overall, I would go 3.5 out of 5 in general. P.s. it is so confusing in the bathroom. Dunno where the door is.

Very expensive restaurant, but very good food. I wouldn't have expected a restaurant like this in the Kreuzberg district. Service was great, ambience was very good. We were a little surprised that it wasn't possible to get rice when we asked. Even though it's an Asian restaurant, they don't serve rice? Very unusual.

We've been here several times over the last few years and we're always thrilled. The prices have increased relatively sharply, but that is standard at the moment. Still absolutely worth a visit if you like authentic Chinese cuisine. Peking duck, dim sum, dumplings, .. very tasty. We had a small problem with a beetle, but this was solved professionally and well.

The incredible sauce for the cooked eggplant is actually incredibly good. Otherwise, great shop for Asian tapas in a stylish atmosphere. A bit loud when it gets busy. Update: Easily become one of my absolute favorite restaurants. Always great, delicious, great service, great cocktails and the food is simply unique. Absolute recommendation for whatever occasion or reason to go out for a great meal.

Absolutely amazing service. The server was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. The food was equally good. Their take on some popular Asian food is really refreshing. One of the best places in Berlin if you are looking for a great dinner experience.

I wish I could give 7 stars for service. I was blown away by the quality of the service here. The waiter knew the menu, was able to give excellent recommendations, was super friendly and accommodating - went the extra mile even bringing one little extra treat to the table for no reason. An absolute pro. While I will go back to Long March Canteen for the service alone, the food was also super tasty.

Well, the taste of the dishes is OK, but nothing more. Bad value for money. The food comes in random order. Sometimes quickly, sometimes with a 30 minute break. I'm not coming back.

Cool Place, some creative dishes to share. The cocktails are satisfying, the boiled pork belly in the sauce is wild. Beautifully decorated, waiter was a pro.

Way too pricey for what you get - all things taste rather similarly, nothing has a „kick“ to it and I’d expect a bite more for almost 70€ a person (with 3 small beers only)…

I did not enjoy the experience. The vegetarian options were very boring and overpriced (10 euros for half of a stemed broccoli, for example). It just did not meet our expectations and we did not really understand why they are so recommended.

Great ambience. Insanely delicious food. Hip, modern, stylish, stylish and authentic. Here, food like “tapas” just isn’t Spanish. You can order a little bit of everything and there is something for everyone. An absolute highlight. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the service was good. That's just great!

The food was ok but nothing special for a 70 euro menu... One plate was a salad made out of cilantro.... You could tell the dessert had been made hours before and wasn't good.... Etc

At the reception the hostess looked at us and just said, and I quote, "It's expensive here guys!" We just turned around and walked away. Really cheeky but apparently fits the “super fancy” and “super expensive” store. I will definitely tell everyone if they ask me for recommendations! Cheers ;)

Overrated and overpriced. Had "crispy bacon" that wasnt crispy at all. The carp was oily and bland. The duck dumplings had an unidentifiable taste. The beer was warm. Prefer Yumcha heroes. J

It's not for nothing that the restaurant has a Michelin star. Many small dishes are served. One tastier than the other. Absolutely amazing. The brisk, friendly but never intrusive service rounds off a lovely evening.

Service is terrible and food takes forever. At some point, the waiter told us our dessert was coming in 10 minutes. Well we ended up waiting an hour for our dessert. In such a situation, the restaurant has to offer some kind of compensation like coffee on the house. I wouldn't come back. The food is fine, but like others mentioned I was disappointed considering the price level.

Food is good, but the service is terrible. We had to wait about 40 minutes between starters and the mains, and about an hour(!) between the mains and desert. Felt like they wanted to push us to order more drinks.

The service at the restaurant was excellent, but the food did not meet our expectations. We opted for the Dim Sum menu for two, and found that many of the dishes were quite basic, such as edamame, sweet potatoes with mayo sauce, and grilled chicken. Unfortunately we noticed that the quality of the food declined since our last visit a few years ago.

Overpriced for the quality of the food

Good asian fusion food presented in an appealing and creative way in a great atmosphere. Some dishes like the bacon or the Peking duck sauce were overly salty and prices are generally too high

Excellent dim sum restaurant. Very good service, food was a heaven. The atmosphere on Monday evening was a bit too busy with large groups, but that didn' bother us too much. We ordered two cold dim sum, four warm dim sums and one dessert for two and it was enough for two hungry people. We were unfortunatelly too full for dumplings. Highly recommended. We ate recently in Hakkassan in London - food that was as good as in Long March Canteen, but three times the price here. You should definitelly order aubergine as on of the warm dim sums.

Super bad with glutenfree, even that they said it would be no problem. Shame on them for this. We had a reservation that said "one person has to eat glutenfree". Well, they have no idea what that is. The waitress first thought it was just soy sauce and asked me if I could eat that... I then got a handwritten map with some "soy sauce" options. Choose 5 things, then it turned out after an hour that the first thint I received (cold eggplant marinated) was probably not glutenfree, they werent sure if it was, so I am glad I didnt trust the eggplant. Basically: i just got a tiny amount of tofu (4 small pieces) and my coworkers had an amazing meal. We were there for 3+ hours and I just had some pieces of tofu. Oh and mango ice cream, dont like mango, told them but the waitress still wanted me to try. I gave it to the people I was with. Happy for them, but would NOT recommend this place to glutenfree people.

Long March offers top notch Cantonese cuisine, dim lighting and pleasant atmosphere, excellent service. You also have the ability to peek into the kitchen and catch the chefs in action. Get the chopsticks ready for a parade of dim sum and dumplings that'll march right into your belly. Lots of drinks, cocktails as well, also a great terrace.

There are exceptionally prepared dishes and interesting Asian taste experiences. We had a menu so we could try different dishes. Service is nice and courteous. A little more expensive, not for every day, but you should try it.

Way too expensive for what you get. Food is good though but portions are only good for girls on a diet taking Instagram pictures. Don't waste your money there.

The food was average and not as aspected. The service was slow and did not pay attention on us. Due to the level on price I will not recommend this place.

'The visit was a special experience. We had the Sessain menu and it was excellent. An explosion of different flavors. The restaurant gives you the feeling that you are in China without any Chinese kitch. The waiters were friendly but very busy due to the many guests. I've been there a few times and find the menus very appealing. They are varied and lush and everything is delicious. Just one more the other, depending on the taste. My favorite so far is the Singapore style king prawns. You are welcomed by a nice receptionist and taken to the table, someone takes care of the cloakroom, the waiters inform you what they have brought for each dish (a menu consists of around 13 dishes), you feel looked after. The prices are not cheap, but they correspond to the quality you get there. A clear recommendation for anyone who likes to eat out fine.

I ordered the tasting set here. This means that I tried as many as 11 dishes, including: tuna sashimi, beef carpaccio, edamame, shrimp with eel and quail egg, chicken kebab with water chestnut and various types of dumplings. I will remember it fondly, but I expected something more from a place recommended by the Michelin guide. It was tasty, but without the wow effect. Great service :)

I went there twice. Once in 2022 and the other in 2024. I must say that there was a substantial difference (and more positive) between both visits. The quantities increased this time. The quality remained good. We had the spring menu and I’d recommend it if its still available

As a Chinese I must say it’s not authentic at all and misleads people’s knowledge of Chinese food. It’s totally germanized and westernized. I’ve never seen such dishes and flavor in our country. If u wanna try the Chinese dishes which only exists in imagination but never in reality, then go there. I’m truly curious how it can get the Michelin star and who is the jury. I feel so lucky I went there only bcz of a business dinner. I’ll never go there if I pay by myself. The service is no doubt good.

Food is good, not outstanding. And service is awful. This time we had to beg the waiters to bring us the food, even though the place was half empty. The restaurant also doesn't have many options for people with food allergies, nor is the staff informed to help customers make safe food choices. Not worth the money.

We were at the Long March Cantine for the second time and this time we enjoyed three dishes each: the quality of the food is really high and the service is in any case up to the task. Very precise in the booking they even called us to confirm it, given that we had made it on the same day. Prices are higher than the Berlin average. Advised

Very exquisite Cantonese cuisine, fusion of Western tastes, small portions, not very cost-effective

I don't know if the glory days are over or it was just a bad day, but the price we paid and the suggestions we saw in various guides don't reflect the quality of our experience. We ordered the Spring menu for 2 people, at 69€/person. Large quantity, fits 2. Good: konja noddles and chicken carpaccio (attention, it's not a carpaccio, slices of chicken cooked and with sauce) were wonderful and tasted good, classic edamame, simple and interesting Chinese pizza, Argentinian beef with tender meat, and a light and fresh dessert to finish. Bad: in general, everything was too spicy, cancelling out the flavour of the dishes (and I like spicy), tuna sashimi was dry and not very fresh, zucchini with a sesame paste that was too intense and didn't seem to have any secret ingredient, ribs were too fake and Americanized, Singapore-style prawns were a disappointment - the prawns were indeed large but the wasabi mayo was too sweet, the mango was too green with no flavour or color (I asked and they said it was just like that). Finally, the dumplings, which were supposed to be the star of the evening, failed to deliver - tough, undercooked dough, heavy filling and no outstanding flavor. We ordered 2 cocktails, well served with good portions, I recommend them. The service was friendly. The ambience is interesting depending on your mood, loud music, dark room and we sat at a round table with 2 other couples. We didn't mind because we speak Portuguese and nobody understands us.

Anything but enthusiastic. Completely overrated. Service is completely overwhelmed. It's incredibly loud and crowded. I can't understand why there's such a fuss about this store. You're paying us money for that and I really can't recommend it.

The restaurant is located in the middle of residential area and from outside easy to miss. However, once inside there is a really nice restaurant and most importantly the food is amazing. Visit Berlin, this is a must go to.

It was overall a great experience ! The food was great even though not all of the Dim Sum dishes were worth the price in our opinion. We still get why it’s a Michelin recommandation though. Moreover, the service was excellent and the ambiance really worth the hype!

The remarkable restaurant “Long March Canteen” can be found in the winding streets of Kreuzberg, not far from the market hall. When you enter the restaurant, you are surrounded by an atmosphere that skilfully combines modern design with traditional Chinese accents. The combination of dark wood, red details and an impressive bar and steam station in the middle creates an ambience that is ideal for social gatherings as well as a quiet dinner. The night we were there it was full. We had reserved in advance. The culinary offer of the "Long March Canteen" is a journey of discovery into the depths of Chinese cuisine. The dim sum – small, artfully prepared delicacies – are a real treat. Particularly noteworthy are king prawns Singapore style, Argentinian beef fillet cubes, super sashimi of tuna - beetroot - wasabi - soybeans... (I can't stop and could list a number of delicacies...), which delight with their rich variety of aromas. The traditional aubergine in an indescribable sauce would also delight people who don't normally like aubergine and you have to try the cucumber strips - vinegar - garlic - sesame chili oil... In the "Long March Canteen" baked bananas become an extraordinary pleasure They are hot and crispy and dipped directly into ice water. This simple but effective ritual creates a surprising interplay of temperature and texture that delights the palate. The "Long March Canteen" stands in Berlin as a place of encounter, a small universe in the middle of the urban dynamic.

Fantastic menu 11 courses, bigger than I expect from a tasting menu Perfect place to bring your loved one

The four of us had a wonderful evening in the Long March Canteen. The decision for the menus was exactly right. We experienced a fireworks display of really excellent small dishes, which were gradually brought to the table and briefly introduced by a very attentive and friendly service. The ambience was that of a lively pub, which made you munch in a relaxed and relaxed manner.

The deluxe menu is definitely worth the money. We were there with a total of 7 people and ordered this menu 4 times. At the end everyone was full and gourmets got their money's worth. A feast for the eyes

We have been regular guests for over 10 years and it is always a pleasure. The food is great, the team is courteous and the atmosphere is fun. Even with our 1 year old it was no problem in terms of volume etc. and he clearly had fun. We will be back

Lovely dinner and amazing vibe!

First visit and super disappointed. The price-performance ratio for the 3-person (Alfons) menu is poor. If you order all the dishes listed in the menu separately a la carte and then share them with three people, you get a lot cheaper. In addition, the portions a la carte are sometimes the same or larger. For example, in the menu you only get three dumplings, a la carte you get four, so it's better to put them together yourself. What was particularly annoying was the extremely long waiting times between the dishes, which were almost all served individually. Despite the long waiting time between courses, we were not allowed to place any further orders because the table had to be given away again, which is generally perfectly fine if you are exemplary with your own time management!!!

Please if this is a brand, the owner is not a person to trust into it.

I hesitate between 4 and 5 stars, but I opted for 4. Let me say that the price/quality is really good. You get a lot of food with the set menus. We opted for the winter menu and my girlfriend left some at the end because she just couldn't eat it anymore. I have now eaten at 6 restaurants from the Michelin guide and I had the least "wow factor" when eating at this restaurant. There were also a number of dishes that I simply didn't like. The service was really good, friendly staff, they really look after you and you never run out of drinks. I thought it was special that you were just put at the table with other people. There is some space in between, but you share the same table. (we were 2 people, I think if there are more people you just have one table as a group).

Great ambience, the food and service were excellent!

Great service, very attentive and I didn’t have to raise my hand once to get a drink. Cocktails were amazing. However, the food was extremely disappointing. We’ve been to various Michelin starred and recommended restaurants where dishes were made with a lot of thought and care, but the winter menu here was very disappointing. The big issue we had with the food was the amount of ready made products, like wasabi from the tube you get at every sushi restaurant or Sriracha straight from the bottle sold as chilli sauce for the dumplings. The 2nd annoying bit about food were the actual dishes. Some dishes like the filet and ox cheeks were quite nice, the rest was just disappointing, especially the edamame and the coriander felt like it could be just a side. However, the biggest let down were the dumplings. Wrappers were too thick and not processed properly, almost soggy. There a places in Berlin that make better dumplings. To be completely honest, the disappointment came probably from the high expectations we had, as it was Michelin recommended, especially the dumplings should have been next level. Usually we never look at the price of the menu, as we go for the food, but this is the first time I’ll mention the pricing. Considering you are paying 69€ per person and you effectively get only half a dish, the pricing is on the same level as some 1 star Michelin restaurants on Berlin for an 8 course menu. However, the dishes presented are worlds apart, lacking thoughtfulness and creativity. Overall, great service, food was disappointing.

I am not giving a full 5 stars only for a few reasons that could easily be addressed. The food is very good and surprising, and the service is amazing. The place is also nice and cosy not mention the high quality of the cocktails (try the metzcalita!) For the improvements: 🍽 the tasting menu has many courses, but they never change your plate during the meal 🍴Variety: we go there every new season (they update the tasting menu) but we have found too many overlaps between "Fall" and "Winter". Still a great first time experience though! 💸Slightly overpriced; I would expect a cocktail to be included (it's 15 eur each otherwise). Also, asking for the tip with the POS (it's the sad trend now) feels "cheap" for a place that otherwise I would consider elegant. You don't need to beg for the tip, you are going to get it anyway 😉

We came here on a recommendation. And we haven't regretted it for a second. The service was attentive and friendly, the food was special and very tasty. The restaurant was full to capacity, even the chairs were running out on a Thursday evening! An impressive wine and cocktail list completes the picture. Once we were all full and happy, the pain of the bill went away quite quickly; it was a great evening.

Urban atmosphere, great service and good food.

It was a good experience overall. We chose the Dim Sum menu for 2. We really like the first two dishes. We were not that impressed with the rest of them. We were very positively surprised by the service. The waitress was adorable! A rarity in Berlin. The facilities are really cool. I didn’t like I had to share a table with another couple tho. It felt too close and invasive.

I went twice. Both times the food was outstanding, I have no comment on that. You may want to take a doggy bag as portions are extremely generous and you likely won’t be able to finish it all! The first time we got an excellent service. The waiter was very friendly, very attentive, and when we informed him of my allergies, he offered a replacement for one of the meals which contained the ingredient. It was delicious and we had an amazing time. The second time, I told our server about my allergies, and double checked that there was no allergen in the menu we ordered (if so, I would have asked to not bring the meal or to replace it). He assured me there was no peanuts in any of our menus several times. He then proceeded to to bring one of the meals which did contain peanuts, telling us it was going to be okay, to relax and to trust him. He was extremely impatient, very innattentive, and very controlling. However, meals are shared so having a meal with peanuts on the table puts it at high risk of cross contamination especially with larger groups. He ended up changing our cutlery and plates when we explained how risky it was. He did not seem to understand. If you cannot make the necessary accommodations for allergies it’s no problem, but make sure to be honest with the client and tell them if an allergen is present in one of the meals instead of asserting that there is none multiple times, and then proceed to bring the plate containing the allergen on the table and being extremely unfriendly. At the end of our meal, he did end up being a bit nicer, but I would be weary about coming back here, especially with him as a server again.

Don’t let the sticker & graffiti’d door& the dim lit ambience of this restaurant fool you. What you’d find once you enter is some amazing hospitality right from carefully taking care of your winter coats to making sure that you leave with your tummies & hearts full. We were early for our dinner reservations but our host led us to our seats at a shared table after a cheerful welcome. Sitting across a shared table surely brought back memories from the amazing dining experiences we’ve had in Singapore. To dine, we opted for the winter menu for two and to say we were blown away by the flavours that came packing with each course is quite an understatement. We ordered two cocktails viz, Nights in Paris & Shades of Violet, both of which paired really well with the food that kept on surprising us, plate after plate. Overall, an amazing place to head out for a small celebration or just a good meal with your buds!

Nous avons été super mal accueillis dès notre arrivée ! La serveuse à la réception était capable de dire "Oh my god" comment réponse à notre question. Et le manager n'a même pas voulu nous regarder quand il nous parlait. Quel service ! 祝您们生意兴隆吧

Asya yemekleri konusunda oldukça başarılı. Mekanın atmosferi, rahatlığı iyi kurgulanmıştır. Farklı bir deneyim isterseniz şefin menüsünü özellikle tavsiye ederim. Her yemek çok lezzetli ve doyurucuydu. Garsonlar çok kibar ve bilgiliydi, her sorduğumuza bilgili şekilde cevap verdikleri için tekrar teşekkür ederim. Restoran dolu olduğunda fazla gürültülü olabiliyor, yerel halkın da sıklıkla bu restoranı tercih ettiğini gördük. Çok beğendiğimi belirtmek isterim. Teşekkür ederiz.

Horrible customer experience, avoid at any cost.

Essen war super. Sehr lecker und außergewöhnlich. Personal sehr nett und sehr aufmerksam. Preis angemessen. Die Bänke /Hocker zum Sitzen sind nicht so Meins und als der Laden voll war, wurde es sehr sehr laut. Aber trotzdem eine Empfehlung. Sollte man auf jeden Fall besucht haben. Unbedingt vorher reservieren.

Den Seiteneingang muss man suchen, da der Haupteingang zugenagelt ist. Aber der Empfang ist sehr herzlich, die Bedinungen engagiert und das Essen fabelhaft. Definitiv eher für den großen Geldbeutel

Man muss auf jedenfall einen Platz vorbestellen. Am Eingang bildet sich trotzdem eine Schlange, da die Gäste an ihren Platz gebracht werden. Es ist recht eng, da die Garderobe sich dort ebenfalls befindet. Die Toilette liegt einen Stock tiefer und dieser Weg ist recht dunkel. Die Akkustik im Restaurant lädt leider nicht so gut zu Gesprächen ein, da es sehr hallt. Wir hatten zu viert ein Menü, was wirklich empfehlenswert ist. Das Essen kam innerhalb von zwei Stunden in jeweils kleinen, sehr köstlichen Portionen. Am Ende waren wir alle wirklich satt und vom abwechslungsreichen Essen verzaubert. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war recht hoch.

Ich war gestern da und kann das Restaurant absolut nicht empfehlen. Es ist in dem Laden unglaublich laut und zudem dunkel. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt m.E. nicht, denn die Gerichte sind zu klein und zudem zu wenig dekoriert bzw. nicht so dargestellt, dass ein höherer Preis gerechtfertigt wäre. Zudem scheint es nahezu nur Teigtaschen zu geben. Die Shanghai-Sommerrolle(n) war tatsächlich nur eine daumendicke Rolle, die mittig durchgeschnitten war, kein Salat, keine Sprossen, keine Kräuter, nur etwas süßsaure Chili-Sauce. Ehrlich gesagt, schmeckte diese eine Rolle auch nicht anders als die TK-Frühlingsrollen aus dem Discounter. Ich habe den Besuch dann abgebrochen...

Perfekter Service und top Qualität wie immer. Jederzeit wieder!

Eins vorweg: das ist nicht billig! Aber chinesisches/asiatisches Essen in dieser Perfektion und dieser Qualität habe ich noch nirgends anders bekommen (auch nicht in der Kantstrasse). Ambiente und Service sind auch Top. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn es mal „chinesisch besonders“ sein soll.

Ein super leckeres Menü. Preis Leistung dafür stimmt. Wenn sie allerdings ihre Jacken mitnehmen möchten und nicht an der Gaderobe abgeben und dann noch ein Kind dabei haben, sind sie dort eher unerwünscht.

auf Empfehlung eines Freundes besuchten wir den Restaurant und stellten fest, dass es tatsächlich ein sehr beliebter Ort bei den Einheimischen ist. Das Lokal war voll besetzt, sodass wir uns mit anderen Gästen an einen Tisch setzen mussten, um unser Abendessen zu genießen. Die Gerichte waren durchweg köstlich. Ein kleiner Zwischenfall ereignete sich auf dem Weg zu Ihrem Restaurant – wir brauchten tatsächlich einige Zeit, um die richtige Abzweigung zu finden. Aber letztendlich hat sich die Suche gelohnt.

Amazing food amazing service. Definitely a must go place when you are in berlin. However, pls change the welcoming lady, who sits in the entrance and guides everyone to their seats. She was very unfriendly had an arrogant attitude. Went there on the evening of the 17.th of september. Horrible welcoming, massive ego, because I looked at her seating screen (my eyes don‘t even see properly without glasses). She Killed the whole vibe but later on the food compensated for the welcoming girls bad behaviour❤️❤️❤️

Pedimos 3 menús para compartir y la experiencia fue increíble. El personal súper atento te iba explicando paso por paso. El ambiente muy agradable, tenéis que bajar al baño, os sorprenderá lo chulo que está decorado.

Ein wirklich fantastisches Restaurant! Wir wurden sehr lieb zu unserem Tisch begleitet und haben uns dann für ein Dim sou Menü entschieden. Die Kellner waren die ganze Zeit über sehr professionell und lieb! Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und kreativ ich kann die Köche gar nicht genug loben!! Allem in allem waren wir beide sehr zufrieden und ich kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen und kann auch sehr gut nachvollziehen warum dieses Restaurant im Michelin Führer ist! Reserviert aber bitte vorher, weil das Restaurant immer sehr voll ist!

Wir auf laute, dunkle Atmosphäre steht ist hier richtig. Dann noch "als Jaghtmenü serviert (Zeitfenster von 2 Std. ab Reservierungsantritt) ist hier richtig. Die Speisen sind recht gut, weiss natürlich nicht warum wir in der Nacht alle so durstig waren? Es gibt besseres. Fazit: glaube nicht das wir wieder kommen.

Impressive Asian food experience. We were four and chose two different menus to have a lot of variety. The service and food were incredibly good. The atmosphere was cozy but maybe a bit too loud since a lot of big groups were dining that night. The cheapest menu was 48€/pax (the dumplings menu) and the other one we ordered was 63€/pax We ended up totally stuffed with big smiles 😊

4.5 stars, really! Enjoyed this place quite a lot. Can't speak to the authenticity of the cuisine, but compared to many dim sum places I've visited in America, I was certainly impressed and very much enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was sophisticated, and complementary coat check was a nice feature. The interior was a little bit dark, but the rustic quality of the tables and overhead beams lent a bit of rawness that I really liked in contrast to the otherwise sleek decor. That bathrooms were kind of a strange design in the basement, but ultimately unimportant to my rating decisions. While they offer comprehensive pre-fixe menus with a good variety of items, these are quite expensive, and if you're traveling on a budget, like us, you can order individual items for an average of about €10, and most are plated 4 items at a time. My partner and I ate here, and we ordered: baked quail, pork shou mai, "traditional" Shanghai rolls (only 2, rather than 4), baozi, two beers, a Lemonaid+ (served in the bottle), and for dessert, the "dark & spicy" (a dark chocolate ganache? with ginger & passion fruit-mango syrup), and their homemade sorbet, which was strawberry-basil that night. Altogether we spent around €70, and felt satisfied but not too full! The baked quail was good, flavorful and pleasantly greasy, served with some sort of julienned onion (I think, maybe lemongrass?), and carrot, paired with a good, sour sauce, but maybe slightly overdone. The Shanghai rolls were my favorite item, fried, crispy, with tasty filling of chicken & vegetables. Pork shou mai came topped with salmon roe, but I found the dumpling wrapper to be a little rubbery, and the roe didn't add much to the dish. Baozi were very good, too, maybe tied with Shanghai rolls now that I think about it! Came with soy vinegar & spicy chili sauces. The dark & spicy chocolate was a bit dense, and I didn't expect it to be near-frozen, but the ginger and chocolate were well-balanced and the passion fruit-mango syrup gave it a lovely tangy counterpart. Strawberry basil sorbet was garnished with mint, and all in all, a wonderful palate cleanser to end the meal. Astra beer on tap. My one complaint would be about the service. At the start, our waiter was very attentive and communicative, but toward the end of our meal, we found ourselves waiting longer for someone to clear empty plates, bring us our next dishes, etc. My partner had to ask twice for a refill on his beer, and it took about 20 minutes to receive it. When we finished our dessert, we waited another 10 minutes before asking another waiter for our check. I want to thank the restaurant for specifying which buns are made with yeast on their menu. I have a severe yeast allergy, and being able to see clearly which items contained yeast relieved much stress and uncertainty. Thank you, Long March Canteen!
