Though service was lovely, and the food tasty, I found it a bit overpriced.

The lovely waiter provided a fantastic service in a cool venue. The cocktails were nice, but the food was disappointingly bad. Especially considering how it has had several Michelin mentions.

You leave this restaurant completely satisfied. The menus are amazing, simply fingerlicking good. The drinks, especially the wines, are great. Then a quick and friendly service completes the experience. The price for the delicious food is justified. It was so good that I forgot to take photos.

! PLEASE READ TO THE END! I think we need to talk about it... We had a really nice evening, with good food and a delicious drink that knocked us ALL out of our seats (even the hard-drinking ones). The alcohol was “hidden” so well in the cocktail that we quickly woke up, one of them was enough and from now on only water! After a 3-hour stay, we paid and wanted to end our evening celebrating in a club, but when we left the restaurant the owner asked us why we had tipped “so little” on a 4-figure bill, which was just 4% tip. To be honest, we were shocked and the evening was almost over if we hadn't gotten emotional two hours later. This question almost ruined our day (with a special occasion - which the owner knew) and overshadowed everything we had experienced up to that point. I don't know what kind of society we live in now that people get blamed for "gifted" money... I'm still shocked and for this reason I will NOT visit this restaurant again, even though I thought the food was great and already had plans with whom I would go there, but for me that has absolutely nothing to do with "service of excellence"! Really a shame...

Notting wrong and nothing exceptional. It was a pleasant meal and service, yet given the price it lacked a sparkle, something inspirational or a personal touch. And a Chinese restaurant without green or black tea? Large selection of small dishes. Half of the menus are for over two people. Not clear why other than maybe it is to attract groups and make money. The food (winter menu (feb 2025) had nice flavour, abundant with most dishes with meat. It lacked refinement (prawns overpowered by sauce) or a sparkle (nice fused flavours yet without a highlight, something extra) The Argentinian beef was the positive exception. Service was quick and attentive and didn’t feel personal. Maybe when you order lots of wine, enter as a chatty group or ask many questions it would be different. So it felt like an efficient eatery with good food yet without a personal sparkle both in layout (simple black benches mostly), food (not really wow) or service (no real interaction like mentioning the wardrobe or why tea isn’t available). It gave the impression of an uninspirational pricey concept (so why the Michelin bib-gourmand?) with room for improvement yet happy to serve the larger crowd. Maybe thats why the last page of the menu refers to merchandise.

Ordered the tasting menu for 2 people, which contains over 12 dishes, portions are quite generous for so many dishes, and at the end was full. Very good and friendly service, high-quality ingredients and cocktails are also very good. One of the best Asian restaurants in Berlin, good value for money, ranked bib gourmand on michelin guide.

Definitely recommend. One of the best, if not the Chinese restaurant I have been to. Definitely try the Argentinian meat cubes and baked lamb dumpling

Very unusual restaurant (positive!) Absolutely inconspicuous from the outside, no advertising or other indications of the restaurant. We stood 5 meters in front of it and only found the entrance (see photo) after asking passers-by ;-) The menu is quite extensive but, as described in other reviews, is very menu-oriented. Service and food were excellent! The price/performance ratio is absolutely OK. I ordered 2 different fried dumplings, a. 4 pieces, and that was actually more than enough! Absolute highlight: Dessert > White Wedding — white chocolate parfait - fresh passion fruit sauce - sea salt flakes That was an absolute culinary experience. The restaurant deserves its awards!!!

A hidden gem in Kreuzberg. The restaurant impresses with a wide selection of dim sum and corresponding menu compositions. In addition to the nice service, the reception and cloakroom were very friendly. The drinks from beer to lemonade to cocktails were also good.

Good ambience - the decor is simple and dark, so the focus is entirely on the food. The staff is friendly and accommodating, pays attention to details and always keeps the table clean. We tried the vegan menu - a really great concept, uniquely tailored and beautifully presented. We particularly recommend the cucumber strips with their great consistency and taste, as well as the traditional eggplant and power broccoli. The vegan desserts are also a highlight: the coconut sorbet is one of the best I've ever tasted, and The Real Thing - baked bananas Tanghulu style - rounded off the experience perfectly. Highly recommended!

The food is good, nothing to complain about. But authentic Chinese is different. The concept with the menus is clever for the operator, but not very creative. It's also strange that most menus are only available for 3 people. Serving two dumplings instead of three shouldn't be too much of a challenge. What really stands out is the service! Fis was served at our table. I give him the title “Waiter of the Decade.” He more than deserves it. He does service with passion. I have never experienced anything like this before. He noticed that I had put ice cubes from the water glass into my wine (yes, I do that), and Fis notices this when I'm serving it and, without any hint from me, brings a cup of ice cubes to the next glass of wine without being asked. Even in a star restaurant I wouldn't have expected so much care. Really terrific. Fis, you are my gastro hero. You flashed me. THANKS

As always, value for money is hard to beat in Berlin! Pork ribs and duck are a highlight!

It's crazy what's on the table here. We had the deluxe menu for 3 people… very nice and interesting variations. We'll be back.

The quality of ingredients, refined execution, and immersive setting make it a noteworthy choice—provided diners navigate the menu with a strategic approach.

A Mostly Excellent Experience, Let Down by a Few Details Our group of four enjoyed the De Luxe menu, which featured creative and well-executed dishes. The dumplings were a particular highlight—perfectly juicy with an ideal dough consistency. The spare ribs and mini spring rolls with chestnut sauce were also delicious. However, a couple of elements could have been better. The Peking duck course was overwhelmed by an overly salty hoisin sauce, and the carpaccio seemed to be missing something. Additionally, the seating was quite uncomfortable, with no back support—perhaps a minor issue, but worth mentioning. Service was generally fine, though nothing exceptional. Unfortunately, the evening ended on a slightly disappointing note when the tip amount was questioned which was 9% as decided by our host. This felt unnecessary and left a negative final impression on an otherwise enjoyable meal.

Very Bad ! below average , nothing special from a foodie I really don’t recommend it ! I don’t know from where they got the Michelin thing. I think they fake it to be honest, and the lady at the door she is very unfriendly!

definitely overrated: food is good (but hey, this is berlin!), service poor (staff unfriendly and know-it-all) plus food came not as ordered (they forgot some dishes) and it did not come to the table in such a way that one could eat at the same time.

Amazing experience at Long March Canteen. Every single dish was delicious and flavourful, and we even got to try to new things (to us), like the thousand year-old egg, or duck dumplings. I would go back and somehow would love to order everything again, but also try a bunch of other dishes. I don’t really understand the negative reviews - food was perfect, service was amazing. This is not a traditional Chinese or Cantonese restaurant, but highlights some incredible flavours. It’s a little expensive (about 45€ worth of food per person), but it was worth it for the experience and quantities. We ordered à-la-carte.

Conclusion of one evening: All in all mixed / average and mostly underwhelming. Eat: The dumplings are really good (we had steamed lamb and orange prawn), I would describe these as a signature, as was the scallop, which was exceptionally good. The remaining dishes (duck with hoisin, octopus salad, pork ribs) were simply boring, lacking umami and sophistication. Drinks: It's just a shame - the open wines don't match the price, the yuzu spritz is uninspired and after two disappointments you don't have the courage to try something third. Ambience & Service: The ambience is bustling, a bit loud and somehow beautiful. Theoretically, it invites you to spend an evening with good drinks (see above). The service is nice and unobtrusive. All in all, I only understand the Michelin Guide recommendation when it comes to the dumplings, everything else is below average and not outstanding. Unfortunately, it was actually an evening that I won't remember and that I wouldn't necessarily recommend in a city that has so much more to offer.

I recently had the opportunity to revisit Long March Canteen. I've found that you can visit and eat there again and again and you won't get bored. So I'm already planning my next visit :-D. The food is very varied and special. I felt like eating the same thing as last time but I also wanted to try other dishes and each dish was a revelation in itself, an unforgettable experience. The restaurant offers a unique blend of traditional Asian cuisine with modern touches. We felt comfortable there and our palate is very grateful for this experience. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The wine list is extremely good and the staff is very trained and always ready to make recommendations and respond to special requests. The menus are very generous, so you go home very full. The cocktails are refreshing and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! It's absolutely special! The price range corresponds to the quality. Definitely five stars!

We celebrated there with 35 people. The food was so-so, too few items on the plates. For example, there were 6 scallops for a table of 15 people. We left around €10k. At the end we were forced to take our Secret Santa wrapping paper home with us.

Food is super tasty and comes to the table quickly, cocktails taste refreshing, the staff are very friendly and attentive, highly recommended!

Fuimos ayer a nuestra cena de Navidad con un equipo pequeño y tengo que decir que tenía expectativas muy altas ya que escuchamos que tienen una estrella Michelin que resultó ser incorrecta o al menos no pudimos averiguarlo con seguridad. Teniendo esto en cuenta, me encantaron las diferentes opciones de menú para todo el mundo algo allí y optamos por la opción vegana que puedo recomendar. Muchos platos diferentes, muy agradables presentados con combinaciones de alimentos interesantes. En mi opinión podrían haber añadido algunas opciones más a la sección de postres como me pareció, después de recibir muchos platos diferentes para el entrante y principal un poco “decepcionado” con solo un pequeño postre. El menú de bebidas era agradable y el personal muy amable. La comida llegó muy rápido y era de buena calidad.

Amazing food and atmosphere, a little pricey but worth having an experience

My absolute favorite!!! This restaurant inspires me every time. The cuisine is simply incredible - every dish is perfectly prepared, full of flavor and always fresh. No matter whether traditional classics or special specialties, everything is served here with attention to detail. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make every visit a pleasure.

In short, expect Bib Gourmand-level pricing, for passably good food; a low-four star for me. It's hard to not be at least a little critical when the restaurant has some acclaim, but my party and I expected a bit more out of Long March Canteen. Asian food may be hard to come by in some parts of Berlin, but I consider this to be more Asian-inspired fare due to its fusion elements. Sharing is encouraged, but I definitely left wanting a bit more on the plate. The plating and service was excellent and I can tell that a lot of effort was gone into the construction of the dishes and subtle flavors but as opposed to elevating the original dishes the food had been based upon, we felt like it lacked some of the deep and rich flavors we come to expect with this type of Asian food.

Excellent food and atmosphere. It's ironic that the food is so good and plentiful in a restaurant that celebrates Mao, the Red Army, and the rise is the Chinese Communist Party. Quirky.

The atmosphere was cozy, but the vegan menu is not worth the price. Service was mediocre, no introduction, recommendations to any food. We felt rushed to eat even though it was a slow night. Server was rude after not receiving a good tip.

Incredibly delicious and the menus are highly recommended! My companion has a nut allergy and it was dealt with without any problems and adjusted accordingly. It will be very crowded - definitely make a reservation. You can't be sensitive to volume. Cost - expensive, but understandable and not excessive.

Really a great menu, I've been there twice now. Be sure to try a cocktail beforehand, great house martini and mezcalita. The ambience and food are worth the price. Trust your Peter!

A very special thank you goes to Franz, who looked after us exceptionally well throughout the evening. He was always attentive and friendly without being intrusive - just perfect! The food was an absolute highlight - every dish was a work of art, both in terms of taste and appearance. Out of a possible 10 points, I definitely give it 11! We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!

Really great food and more than enough if you pick one of the tasting menus. Not the best option for a romantic dinner as there are many shared tables. The service was not the best, taking a lot of time to order with a very crowded place, but overall totally worth it for the price. Edit: Service was kind, fun and attentive this time.

Ah Français, on a l’habitude… » Tout en rigolant avec le personnel, est-ce une manière de dire les choses ? Chacun fait au mieux, tout le monde ne peut pas laisser la moitié de la note, honteux pour un restaurant soit disant remarqué par le guide Michelin, mauvaise habitude et attitude présomptueuse, il suffit de lire les commentaires précédents, bonne appétit, bonne soirée et surtout bonne chance à vous.

Absolute recommendation: the ribs! But everything we ordered (scallops, beef dumplings, prawn dumplings, duck to roll yourself) was incredibly tasty. The service was charming and attentive. Only one star deducted for the ambience, as we had to share a long table with other guests, which meant that my companion got the contents of an overturned glass from the other guests.

Wir waren das erste Mal in der Long March canteen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Ein Abend voller kleiner, kulinarische Überraschung. Immer wieder kleine ausgewogene Gerichte, ein sehr netter, aufmerksamer Service. Wir saßen neben der Tür nur etwas blöd und an diesem ersten kühleren Herbsttag ziemlich zugig. Wir kommen jedenfalls gerne wieder und würden bei der nächsten Reservierung auf den Sitzplatz achten. Sehr lockere Atmosphäre. Also Leute, lasst Jeans und Pulli an und das Sakko zu Hause 😉.

Really a shame! At first glance, the ambience is quite nice, the service is attentive, the price of the menu is quite high and when you get the food on the pond, the disappointment is even greater! Food is mostly boring or not seasoned at all. No sophistication, no 'Asian'... more reminiscent of mass-compatible bland food. We expected MUCH MORE from the Michelin recommendation… It's better to go to Kantstrasse for half the price... there it's more authentic, tastes better and will be remembered. Unfortunately for us it was a lost evening.

It's been a long time since I've had such an inauthentic Chinese meal, really not recommended for anyone who wants to eat Chinese food. Not even a single Chinese tea available. No wonder there isn't a single Asian in the restaurant. tourinepp!!!!

The Long March Canteen is the big sister of Yumcha Heroes. In addition to the famous dumplings, there is also excellent Asian crossover cuisine. Be sure to take a menu. It's worth it. In addition to a surprisingly good wine list, there are also exciting cocktails. The service is quick and friendly.

The food tastes good but not worth 70 euro

An experience of Chinese-Cantonese cuisine in a modern, cozy setting. The food was very tasty and the service was very quick and attentive. The de luxe menu is definitely recommended, every course was a work of art and you were full.

Dies ist ein besonderes chinesisches Restaurant, welches wirklich sehr zu empfehlen ist. Eine sehr schöne Auswahl an Gerichten, und nicht die typische ´Nummerngeschichte ,. Alle Speisen sind sehr schmackhaft und der Service ist absolut hervorragend. Wir kommen definitiv wieder !

I only comment on the food wise. We ordered the summer menu. I am a bit disappointed that some food tastes like something you can find in a way cheaper, regular Chinese restaurant, especially the ribs. When it is called the Perfect Ribs, you expect it to be good but it has a strong meat taste makes me feel a bit disgusting. The chili sauce tastes like what I could find in the Asian market. It tastes like lao kan ma(老乾媽）. I was expecting them to make their own sauce or anything more unique. （or maybe they make their own sauces idk) I didn’t try the drinks. But friends said the sake and cocktails they ordered was great. it was a lot of food. Overall, I would go 3.5 out of 5 in general. P.s. it is so confusing in the bathroom. Dunno where the door is.

The best Chinese restaurant around. Sure, it's not cheap. But the prices are completely justified! Celebrated my birthday yesterday with four friends. The only strange thing is that it's not easy to find the seated toilets in the toilets. Might be tight with a fast Otto.🤣

Very expensive restaurant, but very good food. I wouldn't have expected a restaurant like this in the Kreuzberg district. Service was great, ambience was very good. We were a little surprised that it wasn't possible to get rice when we asked. Even though it's an Asian restaurant, they don't serve rice? Very unusual.

We've been here several times over the last few years and we're always thrilled. The prices have increased relatively sharply, but that is standard at the moment. Still absolutely worth a visit if you like authentic Chinese cuisine. Peking duck, dim sum, dumplings, .. very tasty. We had a small problem with a beetle, but this was solved professionally and well.

The incredible sauce for the cooked eggplant is actually incredibly good. Otherwise, great shop for Asian tapas in a stylish atmosphere. A bit loud when it gets busy. Update: Easily become one of my absolute favorite restaurants. Always great, delicious, great service, great cocktails and the food is simply unique. Absolute recommendation for whatever occasion or reason to go out for a great meal.

Absolutely amazing service. The server was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. The food was equally good. Their take on some popular Asian food is really refreshing. One of the best places in Berlin if you are looking for a great dinner experience.

I wish I could give 7 stars for service. I was blown away by the quality of the service here. The waiter knew the menu, was able to give excellent recommendations, was super friendly and accommodating - went the extra mile even bringing one little extra treat to the table for no reason. An absolute pro. While I will go back to Long March Canteen for the service alone, the food was also super tasty.

Well, the taste of the dishes is OK, but nothing more. Bad value for money. The food comes in random order. Sometimes quickly, sometimes with a 30 minute break. I'm not coming back.

Way too pricey for what you get - all things taste rather similarly, nothing has a „kick“ to it and I’d expect a bite more for almost 70€ a person (with 3 small beers only)…

I did not enjoy the experience. The vegetarian options were very boring and overpriced (10 euros for half of a stemed broccoli, for example). It just did not meet our expectations and we did not really understand why they are so recommended.

Great ambience. Insanely delicious food. Hip, modern, stylish, stylish and authentic. Here, food like “tapas” just isn’t Spanish. You can order a little bit of everything and there is something for everyone. An absolute highlight. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the service was good. That's just great!

The food was ok but nothing special for a 70 euro menu... One plate was a salad made out of cilantro.... You could tell the dessert had been made hours before and wasn't good.... Etc

Overrated and overpriced. Had "crispy bacon" that wasnt crispy at all. The carp was oily and bland. The duck dumplings had an unidentifiable taste. The beer was warm. Prefer Yumcha heroes. J

It's not for nothing that the restaurant has a Michelin star. Many small dishes are served. One tastier than the other. Absolutely amazing. The brisk, friendly but never intrusive service rounds off a lovely evening.

Service is terrible and food takes forever. At some point, the waiter told us our dessert was coming in 10 minutes. Well we ended up waiting an hour for our dessert. In such a situation, the restaurant has to offer some kind of compensation like coffee on the house. I wouldn't come back. The food is fine, but like others mentioned I was disappointed considering the price level.

Food is good, but the service is terrible. We had to wait about 40 minutes between starters and the mains, and about an hour(!) between the mains and desert. Felt like they wanted to push us to order more drinks.

The service at the restaurant was excellent, but the food did not meet our expectations. We opted for the Dim Sum menu for two, and found that many of the dishes were quite basic, such as edamame, sweet potatoes with mayo sauce, and grilled chicken. Unfortunately we noticed that the quality of the food declined since our last visit a few years ago.

Overpriced for the quality of the food

Good asian fusion food presented in an appealing and creative way in a great atmosphere. Some dishes like the bacon or the Peking duck sauce were overly salty and prices are generally too high

Excellent dim sum restaurant. Very good service, food was a heaven. The atmosphere on Monday evening was a bit too busy with large groups, but that didn' bother us too much. We ordered two cold dim sum, four warm dim sums and one dessert for two and it was enough for two hungry people. We were unfortunatelly too full for dumplings. Highly recommended. We ate recently in Hakkassan in London - food that was as good as in Long March Canteen, but three times the price here. You should definitelly order aubergine as on of the warm dim sums.

Super bad with glutenfree, even that they said it would be no problem. Shame on them for this. We had a reservation that said "one person has to eat glutenfree". Well, they have no idea what that is. The waitress first thought it was just soy sauce and asked me if I could eat that... I then got a handwritten map with some "soy sauce" options. Choose 5 things, then it turned out after an hour that the first thint I received (cold eggplant marinated) was probably not glutenfree, they werent sure if it was, so I am glad I didnt trust the eggplant. Basically: i just got a tiny amount of tofu (4 small pieces) and my coworkers had an amazing meal. We were there for 3+ hours and I just had some pieces of tofu. Oh and mango ice cream, dont like mango, told them but the waitress still wanted me to try. I gave it to the people I was with. Happy for them, but would NOT recommend this place to glutenfree people.

Long March offers top notch Cantonese cuisine, dim lighting and pleasant atmosphere, excellent service. You also have the ability to peek into the kitchen and catch the chefs in action. Get the chopsticks ready for a parade of dim sum and dumplings that'll march right into your belly. Lots of drinks, cocktails as well, also a great terrace.

There are exceptionally prepared dishes and interesting Asian taste experiences. We had a menu so we could try different dishes. Service is nice and courteous. A little more expensive, not for every day, but you should try it.

Way too expensive for what you get. Food is good though but portions are only good for girls on a diet taking Instagram pictures. Don't waste your money there.

The food was average and not as aspected. The service was slow and did not pay attention on us. Due to the level on price I will not recommend this place.

Our finest meal in Berlin without doubt. Wonderfully fresh and creative. Not to be missed. Will definitely be back!

'The visit was a special experience. We had the Sessain menu and it was excellent. An explosion of different flavors. The restaurant gives you the feeling that you are in China without any Chinese kitch. The waiters were friendly but very busy due to the many guests. I've been there a few times and find the menus very appealing. They are varied and lush and everything is delicious. Just one more the other, depending on the taste. My favorite so far is the Singapore style king prawns. You are welcomed by a nice receptionist and taken to the table, someone takes care of the cloakroom, the waiters inform you what they have brought for each dish (a menu consists of around 13 dishes), you feel looked after. The prices are not cheap, but they correspond to the quality you get there. A clear recommendation for anyone who likes to eat out fine.
