Ein tolles Restaurant. DIe Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm und die Bedienung nett. DIe Gerichte sind abwechslungsreich und die Preise mehr als fair. Ich gehe hier sehr gerne hin, zu Stoßzeiten sollte man reservieren.

(Warner LeRoy) Yesterday I was in Duisburg for the first time and went to LoLu because of the numerous positive reviews. I have also been a vegetarian for almost 36 years. Given the overly positive five-star reviews, I was quite disappointed when I was confronted with the reality. The ambience alone raises questions, and the original snack bar character cannot be overlooked. In addition, both the route to the toilets and the toilets themselves are adventurous. Perhaps due to the fact that there are a lot of unsightly things in this city, people from Duisburg quickly tend to give overly appreciative reviews. I paid 30 euros for a side salad, a vegetarian main course and two non-alcoholic drinks. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right, especially since you even have to pay at the checkout yourself. Before the meal, bread with herb butter was served, which was extremely tasty. The side salad, on the other hand, tasted watery and was not seasoned. I cannot recommend my main course, broccoli vegetables with tofu, peanut chili sauce and basmati rice, because on the one hand it was too oily/rich - and on the other hand it simply tasted spicy without any other flavor nuances being discernible. Although I was only able to eat half of the main course, the food was still heavy on my stomach the following day.

Tasty and delicious food. Bulger was very tasty. Falafel, however, was not a high flyer, dry and over-fried.

The menu is truly a vegan/vegetarian's dream. The waiting times are a bit long, but the food is excellent. And for all garlic fans, garlic bread is served with every main course.

Food 3.5/4 Delicious (Haloumi Burger) Attractively priced

Unfortunately we were unlucky with the waiting time. On the one hand we had to wait a long time for the waiter and on the other hand we had to wait a long time for the food, so a total of an hour. Yes, it was relatively full, but others seemed to move faster. The food was tasty and the toppings on the pizza were good. However, the menu said that the dough would be made from whole wheat flour, which we hadn't noticed and the dough was also very light and looked more like 400 flour. Unfortunately, that was one reason why we ordered the pizza, otherwise I would have actually chosen another dish.

This place is great, plenty of vegan options. I had seitan burger - I loved the spicy gherkins and sauces. Even better if the burger bun were a bit more special.

We had dinner here today and it was really, really good. The starter was very tasty and fresh and the food came very quickly and was nice and warm. The price-performance ratio was also great. Everything was really well seasoned and just wonderful. We will definitely come here again.

It´s my favourite restaurant now! The food is made with authenticity and love. It´s the first time I would dare to say that this tastes like home. The generous portions, the romantic music on the background, and the mediterranean/ middle east inspired menu made it all perfect as it was. We had -pizza with mozzarella, dried tomatoes, olives -seitan wrap with extra tzatziki (which was honestly one of the first times that it just tasted right in a restaurant)

It was our first time eating at LoLu and the two of us ordered a warm starter plate and a main course each. The warm starter plate was delicious and had a nice selection. Some components were too salty for me, even though I generally eat salty foods. The price was ok and given the quantity we didn't need a main course. I had ordered a pizza. And unfortunately I can't think of anything good about the pizza. It simply doesn't deserve the name pizza and doesn't bring any added value to the LoLu. Could be taken off the menu without hesitation. Very compact and neutral bread dough with an unpleasantly sour and poorly seasoned tomato sauce. Without exaggeration one of the worst representatives of its genre that I have ever eaten. On top of that, it's also outrageously expensive. For 13.50 euros I expect significantly more craftsmanship and higher quality ingredients. My wife ordered the spinach balls. I found them really tasty and was annoyed that I didn't order them too. Here too it could have been a little less salty. The service can be expanded. When the drinks are empty, feel free to actively offer new drinks and be a little more open-minded. Ambiance doesn't quite match the price level. It's not dirty, but unfortunately it's not nice or comfortable either.

I've eaten at LoLu several times. Very centrally located in the city center; Inconspicuous from the outside, but nicely and comfortably furnished inside. The menu (there is also an extremely interesting weekly menu) is extremely diverse, colorful and varied. The food was always characterized by interesting flavor nuances and has always tasted very good to me. Decent portions to fill you up and still affordable. The service is friendly, attentive and quick. The only exception for me (hence a point deducted) is the cake. Unfortunately, it is too dry for me and I lack the sophistication (my father is a pastry chef, so I have enough options for comparison). Too expensive in relation to the other dishes. Maybe reconsider the recipe, otherwise everything is wonderful and delicious!

I've been to LoLu twice in the last 4 weeks and both visits were great. My friend and I ordered the dishes from the weekly menu on both days and were very satisfied. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and the price-performance ratio was great. We'd love to come back.

We were at Lolu's for the first time today. Easily accessible on foot from the main train station. We sat outside, so I can't comment on the ambience. The toilets were a bit disgusting 😁 The service was okay. Could have been a bit friendlier. The food was very tasty. My main course cost 20 euros. I imagined the dish differently. But it was very tasty. But a lot of money. But we will definitely come back again.

Service and atmosphere very friendly. Food also very nice. I was sometimes unsure what was vegan and what was vegetarian. Better labeling on the map would be cool. Visited the “LoLu” today and had lunch. A dish chosen from the appealing daily menu (broccoli almond burger with wedges), delicious and freshly prepared. Even my colleagues who came along spontaneously and Veggie-World wasn't the "first choice" were convinced and positively surprised. Plus friendly, authentic service. It's worth trying it out yourself. When the weather is nice you can sit outside.

We love this restaurant. The food is always very tasty and freshly prepared, the prices are moderate, and the service is super friendly. Because of the rush, you have to wait a little longer, but it's manageable. Only the cakes aren't that tasty. But I'm not the dessert type anyway.

The LoLu on Claubergstraße 12 in 47051 Duisburg is a true gem for lovers of vegetarian and vegan cuisine. My visit here was a special kind of taste experience. The stuffed grape leaves were a real culinary delight. The combination of tender grape leaves and a delicate filling was perfectly balanced and gave the dish a unique flavor. The flavors melded together in a way rarely experienced. The burger with halloumi, accompanied by wedges and coleslaw, was also outstanding. One of the best and tastiest restaurants in Duisburg, if you're in a hurry they also have healthy fast food to go. They also offer wedding catering, which we also took advantage of, it was a fair price, super tasty and everything went according to plan. The staff smokes while you sit outside. It took a long time before anyone even noticed me. My meal, the spinach balls was ok. Actually just balls with warmed up half-cooked rice and lots of sauce. Definitely expected better based on the reviews

Don't let the facade fool you - inside the LoLus there is a very pleasant and cozy atmosphere. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside. The food is always absolutely delicious. Some of the vegetarian dishes can also be made vegan. The changing weekly menu rounds off the offer perfectly.

The staff present was super friendly, really cool and likeable people. Unfortunately, the burgers were a little too salty and the patties were a little too cooked, so you couldn't tell the difference between falafel, seitan and hemp burgers. And the bread was also a little too dry and slightly over-toasted. The potato wedges and the sauce were A1*, as was the drink. We sat outside and in downtown Duisburg you can't expect much in terms of ambience, especially when there's a kebab shop next door. All in all, still a pleasant experience.

We were really looking forward to the vegetarian food because we travel a lot and are from New York and wanted to try out a vegetarian restaurant in Duisburg while we were passing through. We were very disappointed. I had the halloumi burger and my partner had the falafel plate. The hummus on the falafel plate was tasteless and very thin, didn't taste homemade, but bought in a big bucket. I was surprised that the halloumi cheese was so thin and pared, marinated and sliced ​​three times thicker would be better. The topping on the burger was not good, more salad-like and not like the classic burger. The bread from the burger was too sweet and way too big for what they put in the burger. The sweet potato fries were fried / fried too hot and cut way too short, sometimes there were a centimeter piece of fries. The food was tasteless and just not great. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker ich habe schon die halbe Speisekarte durchprobiert und es war alles super bisher. Der Service ist super freundlich und kinderlieb. Wenn man nicht im Restaurant essen möchte kann man auch zum mitnehmen vorher anrufen.

Mussten 10 Minuten warten, bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden. Das Essen einfach maximal durchschnittlich, eher unterdurchschnittlich. Süßkartoffelpommes und Kartoffelecken sind nichts weltbewegendes. Die Falafel waren trocken. Die Burgerbrötchen waren den Toastiebrötchen aus den Discounter unheimlich ähnlich. Und ein alkoholfreies Bier (0,33) sollte 6 Euro kosten? Die Remoulade schien selbstgemacht, war überhaupt nicht besonderes. Der Laden tarnt sich als Vegan vegetarischer laden, ist letztendlich einfach nur ein besserer Imbiss. Der Laden profitiert von der nicht existierenden Konkurrenz in der Stadt. Aber was soll man machen, wenn es keine Konkurrent gibt für vegetarisches Essen. Kann die Kantine im AV Concept Store absolut empfehlen anstatt dessen.

Nettes kleines Restaurant mit veganen und vegetarischem Essen. Extrem leckeres, warmes und gefülltes Fladenbrot als Beigabe. Für Rollifahrer*innen bleiben leider nur die Sommermonate und die Tische draußen, um das Essen zu genießen. Die Toilette war sauber, ist aber im ersten Stock und die Treppe ist ziemlich steil.

Das Ambiente wirkte von außen erstmals nicht einladend,dort drinnen angekommen war es ne Mischung aus Imbissbude und einem Restaurant. Für unseren Geschmack war es nicht so gemütlich ,das muss jeder für seinen Geschmack selbst abwägen. Kommen wir zum Essen,was mich und meine Begleitung maßlos enttäuscht hatte. Die Pizza mit Seitan,Gemüse und Ricola hatte weder eine Ordentliche Tomaten Sauce ,noch einen typischen Belag wie man Ihn erwartet hätte. Die Sauce war einem Lahmacun sehr ähnlich ,eine komplette Verwirrung für Kunden… dazu war der Burger meiner Begleitung mit einem Toasty serviert worden! Find es einfach eine Frechheit. Ich erfragte ob dies Standard sei ,ob die Burger mit einem Aldi toasty serviert werden,was der Kellner unbeholfen erwiderte. Der Laden sei seit 2011 geöffnet und das wäre dort angeblich total normal… find es eine Frechheit und verstehe jetzt die Aussagen der Vorredner über die negative Kritik.

Wir waren sonntags am Mittag zu Gast, jedes Gericht, ob von der regulären Karte oder der Tageskarte, war sehr ansprechend angerichtet. Die einzelnen Komponenten sind gut aufeinander abgestimmt, alle Zutaten sind frisch. Die Portionen waren alle ausreichend und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist stimmig. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Zubereitung des Essens war sehr schnell, wir haben nur 20 min gewartet. Wir waren zum ersten, aber defintiv nicht zum letzten Mal dort, ein durchweg empfehlenswertes Lokal!

Wenn es um gut gemachte leckere Vegane oder Vegetarische Speisen geht, ist Lolu wirklich zu empfehlen.

Imbiss Ambiente mit teuren Restaurant Preisen und mangelhafte Auswahl an veganen Speisen. Wirklich nichts außergewöhnliches. Falafel und Curry bekommt man überall und besser. Leider hat sich das LoLu stark ins negative entwickelt. Vor 8 Jahren war es noch ein einladender Ort mit für damalige Zeiten guter Auswahl für Veganer. Seit dem hat sich die Speisekarte nur preislich drastisch geändert. Sehr schade, die Auswahl an veganen Alternativen hat sich überall erweitert, nur im vegetarisch-veganen Restaurant nicht. Das Ambiente wurde ungemütlicher: eine gemütliche Sitzecke, die Platz für viele Leute bot wurde gegen Mini Tische eng an eng ausgetauscht. Es wirkt wie eine Massenabfertigung. Die Brokkolipfanne war geschmacklich ok, ich habe seit dem Essen aber Magenkrämpfe. Für Hummus und Falafel kann ich 2 andere Läden in der gleichen Straße von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Dort gibt es authentisches Essen mit angemessenen Preisen <3 Wer veganen Kuchen sucht, sollte sich "das Kaff" in Mülheim nicht entgehen lassen :)

Von außen sehr unscheinbar. Aber wir waren vom Geschmack überwältigt. Wir hatten die Spinatbällchen und Falafel Teller und es war super lecker und der Preis mehr als angemessen.

Wir sind sehr herzlich und freundlich begrüßt und bedient worden. Die Räumlichkeiten sind irgendwas zwischen Bistro und Restaurant, wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt. Tolles Essen aus einer schnellen Küche, richtig gut war das als Appetizer bereitgestellte Fladenbrot mit Knoblauch-Irgendwas drauf. Personal gibt Auskunft über Allergene, es wird explizit in der Karte darum gebeten. Alles in allem: richtig gut!

Das Falafel-Sandwich war sehr lecker.

Es war sehr lecker aber renoviert den Laden doch bitte mal. So, wenig einladend.

Das Lokal befindet sich in einer Nebenstraße von der Hauptstraße, so dass der Trubel an dem Tag kaum merklich war. Wir saßen auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite des Lokals, da auf der anderen Seite schon alles besetzt war. Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Das Essen kam auch sehr zügig nach der Bestellung. Ich hatte die Erdbeerlimonade, die nach erfrischend nach Zitrone, Wasser und ein Hauch Erdbeere geschmeckt hat und auch die Pizza mit gegrilltem Gemüse. Allgemein hat meine Gruppe mit gemischten Essensvorlieben (Flexitarier, Vegetarier und Veganer) das leckere Essen sehr geschmeckt.

Nach langer langer Zeit habe ich mir mal wieder was zum mitnehmen im Lolu geholt. Einen veganen Vorspeisenteller. Ich erinnere mich daran, dass ich den vor einigen Jahren echt gerne gegessen habe und auch alles komplett aufgegessen habe. Naja was soll ich sagen? Der Laden hat extrem nachgelassen. Die Auswahl auf dem Teller war sehr ähnlich zu dem von vor 5 Jahren. Allerdings schmeckte es da noch. Alles war total überwürzt und die Kartoffeln so scharf, dass es sicher zweimal brennen wird. Der Couscous war okay und der Humus auch. Aber die beiden Sachen sind auch echt nichts besonderes und sicher keine 14€ wert. Ich glaube das spare ich mir in Zukunft ganz. Schade.

Das Sandwich mit Falafel war super lecker und mit viel frischem Gemüse. Die Sauce war richtig würzig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Eine klare Empfehlung : Das LoLu in Duisburg (vegan- vegetarisches Imbiss-Restaurant) Wir hatten Seitancurry in Kokosnuss-Currysauce mit Wokgemüse und Basmatireis. Zweite Speise :Spinatbällchen mit Feta und Walnüssen in Champion-Sahnesauce plus Basmatireis. Beides sehr lecker und sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Gut besucht mit einer schönen Auswahl an veganen Gerichten. Bedienung unkonventionell und sehr freundlich. Wenn es mal wieder passt wir kommen gerne wieder.

Immer lecker, stets freundliches Personal und auch der Preis stimmt. Und die Auswahl lässt jedes vegetarische und vegane Herz höher schlagen!
